Americans Last: Border Detention Center Holds Boxes of Baby Formula Despite US Shortage

As American families deal with a shortage of baby formula across the US, a Florida Republican lawmaker has released images of dozens of boxes of the coveted product at a migrant processing facility near the US-Mexico border.

Rep. Kat Cammack shared pictures of “pallets” of infant formula at the Ursula Migrant Processing Center in McAllen, Texas on her Twitter and Facebook pages Wednesday.

“The first photo is from this morning at the Ursula Processing Center at the U.S. border. Shelves and pallets packed with baby formula,” she wrote in a tweet accompanying side-by-side photographs of full and bare shelves. “The second is from a shelf right here at home. Formula is scarce. This is what America last looks like.”

Cammack’s office shared several additional images supposedly from the same location with The Post on Thursday. . .

In a video posted to Facebook, Cammack noted that while migrant children deserve to be fed, the stockpiling was just “another example of the ‘America Last’ agenda.” (Read more from “Americans Last: Border Detention Center Holds Boxes of Baby Formula Despite US Shortage” HERE)

WATCH: ‘Handmaid’s Tale’ Protesters Outside Supreme Court Justice’s House

Pro-abortion activists are protesting outside the home of U.S. Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh in Chevy Chase, Maryland.

The activists are also planning on protesting at Chief Justice John Roberts’s home in Maryland. Protesters were reportedly seen wearing outfits from the TV series The Handmaid’s Tale in preparation for the protest.

This protest is part of a wave of pro-abortion demonstrations across the country following the leak of a Supreme Court draft opinion, authored by Justice Samuel Alito, that would overturn Roe v. Wade.

Furthermore, leftist activists have specifically targeted the homes of the six Supreme Court Justices, who are on the conservative wing of the bench, outside of Washington DC in Northern Virginia and Maryland.

Despite the tactics to intimidate the justices, Thomas told attendees at a judicial conference last week that “We can’t be an institution that can be bullied into giving you the outcomes you want.” (Read more from “WATCH: ‘Handmaid’s Tale’ Protesters Outside Supreme Court Justice’s House” HERE)

Angry Joe Starts Yelling About Food Lines, ‘Great MAGA King’ During Speech

By Breitbart. President Joe Biden got angry during a speech to unions on Wednesday, yelling about the long lines of people trying to get food during the coronavirus pandemic.

“Remember those long lines you’d see in a television and people lining up in all kinds of vehicles just to get a box of food in their trunk? How quickly they forget people were hurting,” Biden said, raising his voice.

He got angry at the Republican Party, accusing them of not caring about Americans who were still struggling.

“And what did the MAGA crowd want to do? Forget it. Forget it,” Biden said. . .

“God this is the United States of America!” Biden continued. “The idea that people would have to wait in line an hour, an hour and a half to get a box of food in their trunk, just unbelievable.” (Read more from “Angry Joe Starts Yelling About Food Lines, ‘Great MAGA King’ During Speech” HERE)

Biden calls Trump ‘great MAGA king’, claims backers unmoved by food lines

By New York Post. President Biden nicknamed his predecessor Donald Trump the “great MAGA king” Wednesday before claiming that “the MAGA crowd” downplayed massive food lines during the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Biden took an increasingly aggressive tone attacking Trump as he sought to reframe the November midterm elections, which Republicans are favored to win in part due to soaring inflation they blame on Biden’s policies and government spending.

“My Republican colleagues said these programs to help the working class and middle class people, that’s actually — that’s why we have inflation. They’re dead wrong. Under my predecessor, the great MAGA king, the deficit increased every single year he was president,” Biden said in a speech to Chicago electrical union members.

At one point, Biden abruptly increased his volume to a near-shout and claimed that Trump adherents were indifferent to economic suffering in 2020 — despite the fact that Trump unilaterally extended some relief programs via executive order with Congress gridlocked after initial aid passed with overwhelming Republican support.

“Remember those long lines you’d see on television? People lining up in all kinds of vehicles just to get a box of food in their trunk? How quickly we forget. People were hurting. And what did the MAGA crowd want to do? Forget it. Forget it,” Biden claimed. “My God, this is the United States of America. The idea that people would have to wait in line an hour or an hour-and-a-half to get a box of food in their trunk — it’s just unbelievable.” (Read more from “Biden calls Trump ‘great MAGA king’, claims backers unmoved by food lines” HERE)

Alaska’s Special Election Is a Template for How the Left Wants to Rig the Vote; Why Didn’t Gov. Dunleavy and his Commissioner Kelly Tshibaka Work for Vote Integrity?

Editor’s Note: As many Restoring Liberty readers already know, Alaska’s 2010 U.S. Senate race was plagued by unprecedented fraud. Governor Dunleavy falsely promised to clean up Alaska’s elections. One of his commissioners, Kelly Tshibaka, actually met with Joe Miller for the purported purpose of addressing vote integrity issues but, like Governor Dunleavy, she refused to seriously engage on this critical issue. Restoring Liberty believes this inaction raises very troubling questions about both Dunleavy and Tshibaka.

Next month, Alaskans will vote in a special primary election for the state’s single congressional seat, left vacant by the death of Republican Rep. Don Young in March. Young, the longest-serving Republican in the history of the U.S. House, was Alaska’s sole congressman for 49 years, so the election to replace him is in some ways an historic event for the state.

But it’s also historic in another way: it will be Alaska’s first ever statewide mail-in primary election. That is, there will be no in-person voting at all. Every single voter on the state’s bloated and error-riddled voter rolls was automatically mailed a blank ballot.

What’s more, there will be no verification requirements for these mail-in ballots. Voters will simply need to fill out their ballot and have a witness observe them sign the envelope. The state’s Division of Election has explicitly said it will not verify the authenticity of the signatures on the ballots. . .

By any measure, Alaska’s special election is a mess. But why should the rest of the country care? Because Alaska’s insane statewide mail-in election is a template for how the left wants to run elections nationwide. Democrats and left-wing activists would love nothing more than to hold elections entirely by mail with as few safeguards in place to prevent ballot fraud.

Indeed, Alaska presents a unique and in some ways ideal test case for the left. For one thing, Alaska’s voter rolls are a mess. As of 2020, voter registration was 118 percent of the estimated vote age population, meaning there were more registered voters than actual people who could vote (this problem is getting worse in Alaska; in 2018 it was only 103 percent). Making matters worse is a 2016 Alaska law that automatically registers residents to vote when they submit an application for the state’s permanent fund dividend. Senate Fails to Pass Democrat Abortion Bill

Senate Democrats on Wednesday failed to pass legislation that would prohibit local, state, and federal governments from preventing abortions.

The Senate attempted to invoke cloture and end debate on S. 4132, the Women’s Health Protection Act of 2022. The motion failed 49-51, as Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) opposed the motion, and it required 60 votes to invoke cloture. The legislation would prohibit government restrictions on access to abortions. Specifically, the legislation states that governments may not limit a healthcare provider’s ability to:

Prescribe certain drugs

Offer abortion services via telemedicine

Immediately provide abortion services when the provider determines a delay risks the patient’s health

Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) sponsored the legislation after Politico leaked a draft Supreme Court opinion that would strike down Roe v. Wade. The Senate Democrats proposed the legislation to attempt to enshrine many of the pro-abortion protections enabled by the landmark Supreme Court ruling. Eyes Wide Shut: NIH Director Confirms Agency Hid Early COVID Genes at Request of Chinese Scientists

National Institutes of Health acting director Lawrence Tabak confirmed to lawmakers Wednesday that US health officials concealed early genomic sequences of COVID-19 at the request of Chinese scientists — but insisted the data remains on file.

Tabak told a House Appropriations subcommittee that the NIH “eliminated from public view” the data from the pandemic epicenter in Wuhan, China, before adding that researchers can still access it via an archaic “tape drive.”

Vanity Fair recently reported that the information was hidden in response to a request from Chinese scientists, despite potentially resolving whether the virus leaked from the Wuhan Institute of Virology or passed naturally from animals to humans.

Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler (R-Wash.) asked Tabek to explain why US officials would comply with such a request.

“There’s no question that the communication that we had about the sequence archive — Sequence Read Archive — could have been improved. I freely admit that,” Tabek said. “If I may, the archive never deleted the sequence, it just did not make it available for interrogation.” (Read more from “Eyes Wide Shut: NIH Director Confirms Agency Hid Early COVID Genes at Request of Chinese Scientists” HERE)

Judge Withdraws Contempt Order Against Trump

Former President Donald Trump was released from a civil contempt of court order Wednesday, provided he pays a $110,000 fine and meets several conditions by May 20.

If Trump fails to comply with the conditions set by the judge, he vowed to reinstate the contempt of court ruling and apply it retroactively.

“I want the fine paid,” New York Supreme Court Judge Arthur Engoron said. “That fine is now $110,000.”

Trump’s legal team has been filing a trove of documents in an attempt to comply with a court order. Engoron wants Trump’s legal team to provide a detailed description of the Trump Organization’s policies on document storage and a review of documents in about five remaining boxes connected to Trump that had not been searched.

On Friday, Trump turned over an updated affidavit claiming that he no longer possessed the mobile devices requested by New York Attorney General Letitia James, CNN reported. An outside company also told the court it reviewed over 1,300 boxes searching for material that may have been subject to the subpoena, the New York Times reported. Biden OKs Transfer of More Trump Records to Jan. 6 Committee

President Joe Biden authorized the National Archives and Records Administration to turn over a trove of records from the Trump administration to the House committee investigating the Capitol riot.

The White House declined to assert executive privilege over an eighth batch of documents the Jan. 6 panel requested in a letter to the National Archives, the Washington Post reported. It is unclear what kinds of documents were included in the recent trove.

“As to the remaining prioritized records, President Biden has considered the former president’s claims, and I have engaged in consultations with the Office of Legal Counsel at the Department of Justice. The President has determined that an assertion of executive privilege is not in the best interests of the United States, and therefore is not justified,” White House counsel Dana Remus wrote in the letter.

The documents are expected to be sent to the Jan. 6 committee by May 26, according to the report. So far, the National Archives has turned over hundreds of documents to the committee. (Read more from “Biden OKs Transfer of More Trump Records to Jan. 6 Committee” HERE)

WATCH: Biden’s Incoming Press Secretary Laughs When Asked Who Is Handling Baby Formula Crisis

Incoming White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre was asked onboard Air Force One Wednesday afternoon about the ongoing baby formula shortage rattling American parents.

After stating the administration is focused on solving the crisis “24/7,” Jean-Pierre laughed when asked about which White House official or staffer is in charge of handling the situation. . .

“Who is running point on the formula issue at the White House? You mentioned the White House is involved,” another reporter followed up.

“At the White House, I don’t know,” Jean-Pierre said while laughing. “I can find out for you and get you a person who is running point.”

Ex-Twitter CEO: Banning Trump Was a Bad Idea

Oh, so now it was a bad idea to ban Donald Trump on Twitter. That’s what former Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey is now saying, adding that permanent bans are just self-defeating. Obviously, you ban accounts that are posting things that are illegal, like child porn, but Dorsey added that these moves don’t work. He chalked up the move to ban Trump during the waning months of his tenure as a business decision that shouldn’t have been (via NY Post):

Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey has admitted that he should never have allowed then-President Donald Trump to be banned from his social media giant.

The tech titan conceded Tuesday it was the wrong move after Elon Musk, Twitter’s presumptive new owner, said he would reinstate Trump’s account and that Dorsey agreed that there shouldn’t be permanent bans.

“I do agree,” tweeted Dorsey, who was still at the helm when Trump was banned in January 2020 at the end of his presidency.

He said that there “are exceptions,” listing sexual exploitation of children, illegal behavior or network manipulation.
