State Releases Examples of Rejected ‘Woke Math’ Textbooks

Florida education officials have released four images of “woke math” in textbooks they rejected last week for use in K-12 public schools.

The state’s Department of Education rejected 54 of 132 titles that textbook publishers submitted for use next year, including 71% of proposed elementary school books, because they did not meet state benchmarks or they contained examples of critical race theory and social-emotional learning.

Florida education officials said Friday that copyright law prevented them from publicizing the names and publishers of the textbooks that contain the four images, which reference “racial prejudice” in math problems and how students feel about working together on the subject. . .

The first image contains a polynomial math problem that asks students to analyze racial prejudice data from the Implicit Association Test, a widely challenged 1998 psychological study that purported to identify subconscious and unconscious bias against Black individuals.

Biden’s Quarterly Job Approval Is Lowest for Any Democrat Since WWII

President Biden, despite holding control of the executive branch of U.S. government and his party having (albeit slim) majorities in both chambers of Congress, he hasn’t been able to achieve many campaign promises nor respond to new crises that have arisen. And despite the cover given to Biden and Democrats by big tech and the mainstream media, Biden’s approval numbers continue to sit drowning underwater. The latest Gallup quarterly approval polling average puts things in perspective among other presidents at this point in their presidencies:

During Joe Biden’s fifth quarter in office, which began on January 20 and ended on April 19, an average of 41.3% of U.S. adults approved of the job he was doing as president. The latest average is essentially unchanged from the 41.7% in his fourth quarter but significantly lower than his first three quarterly averages.

From a historical perspective, Biden’s fifth quarter average is lower than that of any prior elected president, except Donald Trump. Trump averaged 39.1% during his fifth quarter. Although their fifth quarter average approval ratings were at least five percentage points higher than Biden’s, Jimmy Carter, Ronald Reagan and Barack Obama join Trump and Biden in averaging less than majority approval at this stage of their presidencies.

Six of the 11 post-World War II presidents elected to their first term in office had fifth quarter averages above 50%, including three who were above 70%.

So, other than former President Donald Trump — who had the entire media and big tech industrial complex against him as Democrats were engaged in their Russian collusion hoax narrative — Joe Biden has the lowest approval for this period in his presidency of any president since World War II. That means he’s the most unpopular Democrat president in generations, and a bad spot to find himself in as he’s supposed to lead his party to wins in November’s midterm elections. Look Who Ended Their Indoor Mask Mandate…Again

. . .Philadelphia was the only city to reinstate a mask mandate, but it’s gone now. Yeah, it didn’t even last as long as CNN+. The mandate is gone because cases had leveled out. That’s not possible. That’s science fiction. This can’t happen in a matter of days; this is the so-called experts’ own data on the virus which has been disseminated ad nauseum. This is how you know (again) the whole playbook was about the maximization of government power (via CBS Philly):

Philadelphia lifted its indoor mask mandate, but residents and visitors are strongly encouraged to still wear a mask in indoor public spaces, the city’s health department announced on Friday. The Board of Health voted to rescind the mandate.

Further details will be announced during a 10:30 a.m. briefing that will be streamed live on CBS News Philly.

Health officials say the decision to rescind the order is due to decreasing hospitalizations and a leveling of case counts, not criticism from businesses and residents.

Biden Says ‘We’re Spending Billions’ to Make US Military Fleet Climate-Friendly

There’s a green future in store for the United States military, according to remarks President Joe Biden made on Earth Day.

During a wide-ranging speech in Washington state, Biden envisioned a future in which the entire military fleet is environmentally friendly.

“We’re going to start the process for every vehicle in the United States military, every vehicle is going to be climate-friendly,” Biden said. “Every vehicle. I mean it. We’re spending billions of dollars to do it.”

Prior to the statement, Biden noted the vast spending power of his office.

Disgusting: Teacher, Administrators Conspired to Teach Eight-Year-Olds About Gender, Sex

Some parents in Glendale, California, reprimanded a public school board after emails uncovered a third-grade teacher allegedly conspired with district officials to teach eight-year-olds about gender and sexual identity, according to videos from the meeting.

Emails obtained via a parent’s public records request reportedly found that a third-grade teacher in Glendale Unified School District subjected students to videos on LGBTQ ideology and comments about nudity. During an April 19 Board of Education meeting, parents identified the teacher as Tammy Tiber.

Tiber reportedly sent an email to the district’s Teaching and Learning Department after a parent pulled her child from a Zoom session on LGBTQ Pride month.

“Today I talked to my class about LGBTQ pride month and played 2 short videos from YouTube that were geared towards kids,” the email read. “A parent who heard the lesson and discussion made her daughter leave Zoom and texted me asking me when I was done discussing sexual orientation so that she could let her kids back into Zoom. I was planning on doing more lessons tomorrow and Wednesday, but now I’m afraid to.”

Docs: Spygate Researchers Did Work for Former Special Counsel Robert Mueller

The U.S. Department of Defense and private individuals pumping the Alfa Bank hoax also assisted former Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into Donald Trump for supposed collusion with Russia, newly discovered documents suggest.

The Georgia Tech researchers embroiled in the Alfa Bank hoax prepared white papers for the U.S. Department of Defense about the Democratic National Committee hack and created a “Mueller List” on the Russian intelligence agency hackers, the newly obtained documents indicate. The white papers were prepared for the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), a section of the U.S. Department of Defense.

A recent dump of documents from Georgia Tech reveals that explosive detail and several other facts connected to the continuing special counsel investigation into Spygate. Here’s a rundown. . .

Last month, The Federalist first reported that Special Counsel John Durham’s team asked lead Georgia Tech researcher Manos Antonakakis: “‘Do you believe that DARPA should be instructing you to investigate the origins of a hacker (Guccifer_2.0) that hacked a political entity (DNC)?’” Antonakakis responded that that was a question for the DARPA director, an implied acknowledgment that yes, DARPA had asked him to investigate the hack.

In response, DARPA’s chief of communications denied any involvement “in efforts to attribute the DNC hack.” “Dr. Antonakakis worked on DARPA’s Enhanced Attribution program, which did not involve analysis of the DNC hack,” DARPA spokesman Jared Adams told the Washington Examiner. Charges Dropped for Black Lives Matter Activist Convicted of Illegal Voter Registration

A Black Lives Matter activist convicted of illegal voter registration will no longer have to carry out her jail sentence after Tennessee prosecutors dropped all charges against her on Friday.

Pamela Moses, who was sentenced in January to six years and one day for illegally registering to vote in 2019, was granted a retrial when evidence supporting the activist’s defense was revealed after her sentencing. Moses was set to appear in court on Monday to determine whether prosecutors would pursue a retrial, with attorneys announcing Friday they would dismiss all charges.

“In total, she spent 82 days in custody on this case, which is sufficient,” said Shelby County District Attorney Amy Weirich in a statement. “In the interest of judicial economy, we are dismissing her illegal registration case and her violation of probation.”

The activist was convicted last year on charges of trying to register to vote despite having a former conviction of tampering with evidence, which permanently revokes voting rights for Tennessee residents, according to state law. Moses testified she was unaware she was ineligible, but prosecutors argued she knew she couldn’t vote and had tricked her probation officer into signing a certificate that restored her voting rights. ‘Let’s Go Brandon’ Easter Bunny Greets Joe Biden in Seattle

President Joe Biden was greeted in Seattle Friday by a protester who mocked him for getting confronted by the Easter Bunny earlier this week.

A woman holding a large Easter Bunny head shouted, “Where’s the Bunny?” when the presidential motorcade passed and then shouted, “Let’s go Brandon!” along the street.

One reporter traveling with the president recorded a video of the incident and shared it on social media.

Democrats Deal: We’ll Keep Border Barrier If Republicans OK More Legal Migration

Democrats and their business-backed allies are hinting they want the Republicans to okay more legal migration in exchange for keeping border barriers against illegal migration.

“I don’t think there’s any incentive for the Republicans to deal,” amid Democratic threats to lift the Title 42 border barrier against migration, responded Jessica Vaughan, the policy studies director at the Center for Immigration Studies.

“The Republicans know enough to insist on a clean extension of Title 42, not one encumbered with the Democrats’ wish list items,” she said, adding:

The Democrats might think that they could get something in exchange for allowing a Title 42 extension. But I think it would be a miscalculation. I don’t think it’s a good look for them to be trying to put a price on Title 42 extension when most of the public wants it extended. That would be seen as obstructing or complicating the continuation of Title 42.

Some Democratic supporters indicate they have little leverage. “Democrats are terrified that ending Title 42 enforcement will produce an all-out border crisis just in time for the midterm elections,” Democratic strategist William Galston wrote in the April 19 Wall Street Journal. Is Disney About to Fire Its CEO?; Biden Berates Florida Republicans for Punishing Disney

By Townhall. As the showdown between The Walt Disney Company and Florida Republicans comes to a head with the passage of a bill to strip Walt Disney World of its special district status, Bob Chapek’s tumultuous tenure as CEO of Disney has come into glaring focus.

Facing criticism from all sides, Chapek — who replaced former CEO Bob Iger — appears to be on thin ice with growing calls for the embattled leader to step aside in order to let Disney right its ship.

As The New York Post reported on Wednesday as the Florida Senate passed the bill to strip Disney’s Florida resort of its autonomy, there are growing calls for Chapek to go and Iger to return as Disney’s CEO, even if just for a little while.

According to The Post, “Hollywood insiders” are questioning “whether 71-year-old Iger, who stepped down as executive chairman in December, would be able to restrain himself from reaching for the wheel at Disney after a series of missteps by Chapek” that it characterized as a “fumbling response” to Florida’s recently signed parental rights law. Joe Biden Berates Florida Republicans: ‘Nothing Conservative’ About Punishing Disney

By Breitbart. President Joe Biden criticized Republicans for trying to punish Disney after the company attacked Florida’s parental rights bill signed by Gov. Ron DeSantis.

The president spoke out against the bill during a fundraiser hosted in Seattle by Brad Smith, the president and vice chair of Microsoft.

“There’s nothing conservative about throwing Disney out of its current posture… over saying gay?” Biden said, referring to the Republican-led effort to strip Disney’s special tax status on Thursday.

Florida Republicans pushed the law forward after the family entertainment company said they would fight Florida’s new law preventing teachers instructing students in kindergarten through third grade on sexual orientation and gender identity.
