Over 500 Fully Vaccinated Oregon Residents Died of COVID-19

More than 500 residents in Oregon have now died of COVID-19 despite being fully vaccinated against the virus as health officials continue to report over 2,000 new infections daily.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, health authorities in Oregon have recorded a total of 552 breakthrough COVID-19 deaths throughout the state. Of the total number of deaths, 273 people had been fully vaccinated with the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine. At least 144 received the Moderna vaccine and 78 were given the Johnson & Johnson shots, according to data from the Oregon Health Authority.

The recent report also showed that there were 4,134 new COVID-19 cases recorded between Nov. 21 and Nov. 27. At least 1,186 were breakthrough infections.

As of Dec. 2, Oregon reported a total of 45,545 coronavirus infections among the fully vaccinated. At least 6.6% of breakthrough infections were reported in people aged 80 and older. People aged 12 to 19 also accounted for 4.8% of all cases reported in the state. The majority of the cases (10.9%) were reported in people aged 30 to 39.

Biden Plays Wait and See With Putin Over Ukraine Intentions After Video Summit

. . .Following a high-stakes virtual summit between President Biden and his Russian counterpart Tuesday, the White House appeared to be taking a “wait-and-see” approach to a potential invasion of Ukraine by Moscow.

“We will watch what unfolds in the coming days,” national security adviser Jake Sullivan told reporters as he and White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki repeatedly answered that what happens next depends on what Russian President Vladimir Putin does.

Biden and Putin spoke for two hours and one minute Tuesday morning, and Sullivan acknowledged in the afternoon that “we still do not believe that President Putin has made a decision” about whether to send his massed forces across the border and into Ukraine.

“This was a real discussion. It was give-and-take,” Sullivan said in describing the call. “It was not speeches back and forth.”

Congresswoman Claims Jailed Capitol Riot Suspects’ Own Public Defenders Call Them ‘White Supremacists’

Georgia Representative Majorie Taylor Greene has accused attorneys from the Washington, DC Office of the Federal Public Defender of defaming their clients as “white supremacists” and forcing them to consume “critical race theory training” as a condition of being represented by them in cases stemming from the 6 January insurrection. . .

Flanked by Reps Matt Gaetz of Florida and Louie Gohmert of Texas, the first-term congresswoman recounted a visit she and Mr Gohmert, a former Texas judge, made to the DC jail on 4 November. Ms Greene, Mr Gaetz and Mr Gohmert had previously attempted to visit the facility, located in southeastern Washington, DC, to show support for those Capitol riot defendants who’ve been found by judges to be too dangerous to release before trial. . .

“The January 6th defendants that I spoke to and asked questions to at the jail said that if they have a public defender … their public defenders hate them,” Ms Greene said. . .

But Ms Greene claimed that the attorneys assigned to represent indigent 6 January defendants are acting out of “a big political bias” that is prevalent in the DC federal courts. . .

“They’re being represented by public defenders that call them white supremacist, tell them they have to denounce President Trump, tell them they have to denounce their political views, want them to watch videos and read books that basically is critical race theory training, in order for them to have this public defender represent them,” she said. Scientists: ‘Young Blood’ Contains a Substance That Regenerates Aging Muscles

Dracula may have been onto something, as a new study finds “young blood” could reverse the aging process. Researchers from the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center find that transfusions of serum may hold the key to preventing age-related diseases – including Alzheimer’s.

In experiments, giving older mice transfusions of certain proteins in blood plasma from youthful peers regenerated the rodents’ muscle cells. . .

Study authors find that “circulating shuttles” called extracellular vesicles (or EVs) deliver genetic instructions to a longevity protein known as Klotho. The team discovered older mice had fewer of these proteins than their younger counterparts. This may hold the key to why muscle power dwindles with age. The study builds on decades of research on mice showing young blood restores youthful features to cells and tissues.

“We wondered if extracellular vesicles might contribute to muscle regeneration because these couriers travel between cells via the blood and other bodily fluids,” says lead author Dr. Amrita Sahu. “Like a message in a bottle, EVs deliver information to target cells.”

The researchers collected serum samples from young mice. When they injected the young blood into aging mice, injured muscles regenerated and recovered their youthful function. Witness to Horrors: Ghislaine Maxwell Allegedly Asked Teen to Recruit Others; Second Alleged Epstein Victim Testifies in Maxwell Trial

By New York Post. A former British model took the stand Monday to detail how she was allegedly lured into Jeffrey Epstein’s orbit by Ghislaine Maxwell at 17 — and asked to recruit other girls to give him oral sex.

The woman, identified only as “Kate” for privacy reasons, testified that the British socialite introduced her to Epstein at Maxwell’s London townhouse in the early 1990s and convinced her to give him a sexual massage soon after.

Maxwell even tried to get Kate to recruit others to give the late pedophile oral sex, telling her he liked “cute, young, pretty” girls, “like you.”

“She would ask me if I knew anybody to come and give Jeffrey a blowjob because it was a lot for her to do,” recalled Kate, who is also a former actress.

Second Alleged Epstein Victim Testifies in Maxwell Trial

A woman who says she had a years-long sexual relationship with Jeffrey Epstein told jurors on Monday that Ghislaine Maxwell played a key role in facilitating their encounters, first telling her that Epstein was a philanthropist interested in helping young people and then encouraging her to give him massages. . .

Kate was the second alleged Epstein victim to testify in the trial. Last week, a woman who said she was 14 when the sexual encounters with Epstein began described a similar process of being groomed by Maxwell.

On Monday, Kate said she continued communicating with Epstein for years, into her 30s, including during visits to his Palm Beach, Fla., home and his private island in the Caribbean. She exchanged emails with Epstein as he was serving a jail sentence in Florida, following a controversial plea deal that resulted in a relatively lenient sentence, about a year behind bars. Ghislaine Maxwell Trial: Epstein Kept Cds With Nude Photos Catalogued With Police-Style Evidence Tape

The FBI found a trove of photos of nude women and girls at Jeffrey Epstein’s New York City townhouse when they performed search warrants following the financier’s arrest on sex trafficking charges in July 2019. In a closet of one of the floors of the 7-story residence, the agents found boxes with CDs that contained some of those photographs with police-like yellow “evidence” tape on them, a special agent with the FBI testified at Ghislaine Maxwell’s trial.

In another room and closet, the FBI found “numerous black binders” with white labels. Special agent Kelly McGuire said the binders had “clear pages containing thumbnail photos with CDs attached.”

The witness told the tale of how the FBI searched Epstein’s $77 million New York home to the jurors. The agents buzzed but after no answer, they forced their entry to the residence and started performing a protective sweep to make sure there was no threat to them.

On the third floor, in a dressing room, they found a safe that they pulled out from a closet and brought in a saw to open it. There were several items in it that the FBI photographed such as more “binders with CDs, various items of jewelry, external hard-drives, lose diamonds, large amounts of U.S. currency and passports.” However, they needed a second search warrant in order to retrieve those items. So, they returned a few days later, except that the items that had been removed from the safe were missing. An attorney for Epstein then returned all the items to the agents. The Christmas Photo That Caused Liberal America to Fully Meltdown

Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) has set liberal America aflame with a simple Christmas photo of his family. They all posed with firearms. Does this warrant a special counsel investigation? Does this mean the FBI should raid the home? Nope. It just makes the Left upset because it’s something they find abhorrent. It’s funny. The party that loves to stay out of people’s business, and who make that point when it comes to killing babies, are sure concerned about what happens in the privacy of Congressman Massie’s home. CNN wasted time on this, saying how it was insensitive given the recent shooting in Michigan. Oh, and it doesn’t convey the message of peace on Earth. It was a nauseating lecture that no one wants to hear, especially from the network that keeps a dude who masturbated in front of others on a Zoom call employed. Yet, if you search Thomas Massie on Google, he sure did trigger a meltdown (via WaPo):

Critics disparaged Massie’s post as insensitive and tone deaf at best, and spiteful and irresponsible at worst, while supporters said the photo in itself doesn’t bear any connection to the shooting in Michigan.

“I’m pro second amendment, but this isn’t supporting right to keep and bear arms, this is a gun fetish,” Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-Ill.), who has frequently broken ranks with his fellow Republicans, wrote on Twitter.

White House Flags Art Industry for Money Laundering While Permitting Hunter to Sell Art to Anonymous Buyers

The White House flagged money laundering in the art industry on Monday as a point of corruption while allowing Hunter Biden to sell his artwork to anonymous buyers for as much as $500,000.

The first report of its kind named the United States Strategy on Countering Corruption is geared towards exploring the ways and means “government officials abuse public power for private gain.”

Though the White House’s report specifically focused on the art industry as a “market” where financial crimes occur, it did not mention the Biden family’s involvement with corruption, such as Hunter’s art selling scheme to investors while his father is president.

Hunter has reportedly sold multiple pieces of art for at least $75,000 this fall to anonymous buyers, and the New York Times reported first lady Jill Biden has allegedly displayed Hunter’s artwork in the White House. Country Prompts Nationwide Parent Outrage With Child Vaccination Mandate

Parents in South Korea have expressed “anger” in recent days against a looming federal mandate that will require children aged 12 to 17 years to provide proof of vaccination against the Chinese coronavirus to enter public spaces “frequented by students, including cram schools, internet cafes, and public study rooms” starting in February, Yonhap reported Monday.

South Korea’s federal government announced on December 3 it would expand an existing coronavirus “vaccine pass” system to include anyone above the age of 12, beginning in February. The edict requires school-age children and teenagers “to present a certificate of vaccination against COVID-19 [Chinese coronavirus] or a negative test result to be allowed into restaurants, cafes and other multi-use facilities frequented by students,” according to Yonhap.

The South Korean news agency noted on December 6 that many students and parents have “voiced fury” at the impending vaccine requirement since it was revealed on December 3. Those opposed to the order have denounced it via multiple online petitions as “discrimination against those not vaccinated” and “effective coercion for adolescents to get vaccinated.”

One online petition against the vaccine mandate “was filed on the website of Cheong Wa Dae,” or the office of the South Korean presidency, on Friday, according to Yonhap. The entreaty, led by a woman who identified herself as a mother of four children, garnered 74,000 endorsements within 72 hours of its posting. African Reporter Shouts at Psaki, Accuses Her of Lying About Omicron Travel Restrictions

A White House correspondent accused press secretary Jen Psaki Thursday of lying about the justification for travel restrictions targeting eight countries in southern Africa due to the Omicron COVID-19 variant.

Simon Ateba of Today News Africa began shouting over Psaki as she tried to call on Voice of America’s Patsy Widakuswara, at one point telling the press secretary: “You are saying something that is false.”

“I just answered — Simon, I answered a question on this,” Psaki said as Ateba attempted to get his question in. . .

Ateba was not called on during the briefing and continued to make himself heard as Psaki exited the briefing room. He did not immediately respond to The Post’s request for comment. . .
