BIG BROTHER: Sen. Cornyn and Dems Want to Force Social Media Platforms to Submit Suspicious Activity Reports to the Feds

Another challenge to Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act, which protects tech platforms from being liable for various forms of content posted on them, has re-emerged, with bipartisan support. It takes a page from the Banking Secrecy Act (BSA) but, rather than filing Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs), the bill would force tech companies to file “Suspicious Transmission Activity Reports” (STARs) for “illegal activity” on their platforms.

This week, senators Joe Manchin of West Virginia and John Cornyn of Texas reintroduced their “See Something Say Something Online” act, which would force tech companies “to report suspicious activity to law enforcement, similar to the way that banks are required to report suspicious transactions over $10,000 or others that might signal criminal activity.”

According to a summary document from Manchin’s office, companies are “largely shielded from liability for the actions taken by individuals on their platforms, lacking incentives to clean up illicit activity. Even when they do take action, they often just delete the data rather than turning it over to the appropriate authorities, making it more difficult for law enforcement to go after bad actors online. Ex-White House Interpreter: ‘Canceled and Humiliated’ for Supporting Trump

The White House sign-language interpreter who was outed as a supporter of former President Donald Trump said Sunday that she hasn’t been offered a return engagement since — and blasted critics who attacked her credibility and professionalism.

Heather Mewshaw, who began working as an independent contractor for the White House last year, said she hasn’t been contacted by the Biden administration in the wake of a Time magazine report that revealed she translated speeches for conservative social media groups.

“The goal of my activity — at the White House or with Hands of Liberty — is that it’s all about access,” Mewshaw told The Post.

“The thing is, I was canceled and humiliated publicly and it was unjust and unfair.”

Mewshaw, a 41-year-old married mother of four from Glen Burnie, Md., also said she’s been “harassed” and “intimidated” online for providing American Sign Language translation for the Hands of Liberty Facebook group and its defunct predecessor, Right Side ASL. Prince Andrew’s Staff Flee Collapsing Charity as Epstein Scandal Sinks Disgraced Duke

Suffering a mass exodus of staff, Prince Andrew’s Pitch@Palace charity looks to be on the verge of an utter collapse thanks to the ongoing scandal of his connections to the late sexual predator Jeffrey Epstein, The Express reports.

Royal expert Russell Myers has insisted that the company, which connects wealthy investors to tech start-ups, will remain “toxic” to staffers so long as Prince Andrew lives under the dark cloud of Epstein.

Over the past year, as Epstein-related headlines have continued to plague Prince Andrew, Johan Eliasch, a billionaire pal of Prince Andrew, quit the company along with 15 staff members.

Andrew, who was forced into early retirement from royal duties over his connection to Epstein, has only seen his troubles worsen over the past year. He faces questions over his connections to Ghislaine Maxwell, the British socialite and alleged former madam to the House of Epstein Horrors awaiting a sex trafficking trial in the United States. What’s more, his pal Jean-Luc Brunel, the French fashion agent, was also recently arrested for sex trafficking. U.S. federal agents have long sought to interview Andrew about his ties to these alleged ne’er do wells, but he has endlessly dragged his feet. Despite Trump Declassifying Russia Memos, Most Aren’t Released

More than two weeks after Donald Trump officially declassified the evidence, the vast majority of documents detailing FBI and Justice Department failures in the now-discredited Russia collusion investigation remain out of public view in a delay that has thwarted the former president’s goal of sweeping transparency. . .

Just the News was able to obtain about 15% of the thousands of pages of declassified documents, from a hodgepodge network of White House officials who worked on the declassification, law enforcement and intelligence officials who got their own versions of the declassified documents, and members of Congress who were given copies of some memos in the final days of the Trump presidency. . .

The remaining documents, according to sources who have seen them, provide more details showing just how far the FBI went to deceive the FISA judges in an effort to keep surveilling Page and that the FBI’s true target for surveillance was the larger Trump campaign.

For instance, an August 2016 tasking document for Halper, one of the informants, made clear the FBI’s real focus of the investigation was to determine whether “anyone in the Trump campaign is in a position to have received information either directly or indirectly from the Russian Federation regarding the anonymous release of information during the campaign that would be damaging to Hillary Clinton,” according to a source who took verbatim notes from one of the documents. No More Guns Forever? Supremes Asked to Fix Firearm Diagnosis

The Supreme Court is being asked to fix the diagnosis of a lower court that a man who once was sick is always and forever sick.

The “once sick, always sick” concept came in a ruling by the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals that removed the Second Amendment rights of a Washington state man, Duy T. Mai.

Mai suffered a mental crisis as a youth, more than 20 years ago, that required him to be committed to an institution. But since then a state court has determined he’s not a danger to himself or to others.

The court said the symptoms that led to his commitment “are not reasonably likely to reoccur” and under Washington state law he “is free to own a firearm.”

Sen. Rand Paul (KY) spoke to Chris Wallace on “Fox News Sunday” about former President Trump’s upcoming Senate impeachment trial. The senator said the latest impeachment effort against Trump has zero chance of ending in a conviction.

Wallace began the interview by admitting that it would be unlikely for 17 Republicans to join every Democrat in the Senate to achieve the two-thirds majority needed to convict the former president, especially since most Republicans, Liz Cheney aside, believe the trial is unconstitutional.

“If we’re going to criminalize speech, and somehow impeach everybody who says, ‘Oh, go fight to hear your voices heard,’ I mean really we ought to impeach Chuck Schumer then,” said Paul. “[Schumer] went to the Supreme Court, stood in front of the Supreme Court and said specifically, ‘Hey Gorsuch, Hey Kavanaugh, you’ve unleashed a whirlwind, and you’re going to pay the price. You won’t know what hit you if you continue with these awful decisions.'” . . .

“So if people want to hold President Trump accountable for language there has to be a consistent standard, and to my mind it’s a partisan farce because they’re not doing anything to Chuck Schumer, not doing anything to Rep. Omar, not doing anything to Maxine Waters. It’s just not fair. It’s just partisan politics under a different name.”

Although voters fill out a paper ballot in the voting booth, that ballot is then scanned and converted to an electronic vote. As Joe Miller discovered in 2010, if you request a recount, that recount is also conducted by scanning ballots and converting them again to electronic votes.

Mike Lindell has been hot on the issues of election fraud since the huge vote integrity issues that began to arise after polling places closed nationwide on November 3, 2020. He compiled this excellent, informational video explaining the manipulation of the presidential vote that resulted in Biden’s illegitimate presidency:

Starting at 48:50, Mike Lindell also interviews Dr. Shiva, a candidate for U.S. Senate himself in 2020, who explains how the vote was cheated in his state. Vote counts in manipulated precincts had very little variance in the percentage vote for him versus the percentage vote for his opponent (40/60) while hand count precincts had wildly different results (55/45). This is a mirror image of how the Establishment rigged the races for Alaska’s illegitimate Senator Lisa Murkowski, where both in 2010 and 2016, the vote remained constant, within 1 percentage point throughout the entire night of returns despite the very politically-disparate regions throughout Alaska (native regions vs. interior vs. Anchorage vs. Southeast).

Why is this important? Without vote integrity, we have tyranny and ultimately the dissolution of the Republic.

Will the U.S. Dollar Lose Its Place as the World’s No. 1 Reserve Currency?

Some fear stimulus spending to offset the worst of the economic shutdown during the COVID-19 pandemic and the Federal Reserve’s injection of billions into the economy threaten the U.S. dollar’s standing as the world’s reserve currency.

Some investors have moved out of dollars and into gold. While it’s hardly a stampede, it could be seen as further evidence of the dollar’s increasing weakness. Others see Bitcoin as an inflation hedge, and last month investors drove the price of the cryptocurrency to $41,973, an all-time high.

Relax, a Cornell University economics professor said, because the dollar’s place in the world economy is secure.

“During this period of economic uncertainty and human loss during the global pandemic, the U.S. dollar’s role as the reserve currency of the world has been reaffirmed,” Andrew Karolyi, the Harold Bierman, Jr. Distinguished Professor of Management at Cornell University said in comments sent to Newsweek. I Know What Happens To the Kids in ‘Transhood’, Because It Happened To Me

A new HBO Max documentary, “Transhood,” follows for five years the lives of four Kansas City, Mo. children who believe they are the opposite sex.

I identified as a “transgender woman” for eight years. Today, watching this documentary, I marvel at how the events of my childhood groomed me into believing that identifying as the opposite sex was the solution to my gender confusion. My heart goes out to these children who also are being groomed into a transgender life. . .

I can trace the onset of my gender confusion and wanting to be a female to the psychological, emotional, and sexual damage that occurred before I was ten. Starting when I was four years old, my dad would drop me off at my maternal grandparents’ house after work on Friday so he and my mom could take off for weekends of camping and fishing.

My grandparents lived on the outskirts of Los Angeles in a little shack behind an automobile junkyard. Grandpa was often out for hours at a time, towing cars. Grandma, a seamstress, stayed at home fashioning dresses for customers.

This is where my crossdressing and gender confusion started. I remember sitting on the porch, watching grandma cut and stitch pieces of purple chiffon cloth into a beautiful full-length evening dress for me, her four-year-old grandson. She helped me stand on a small stool for fittings and hemming. As she worked, she smiled and remarked how cute I looked.
