WATCH: Here’s What Happened When a Man Brought a Cardboard Cutout of Trump With Him to Dialysis

A man in Port Lucie, Florida undergoes dialysis treatment three days a week, with each appointment lasting three-and-a-half hours. Nelson Gibson’s family isn’t allowed to stay with him but patients are encouraged to bring things that make them feel at home.

At first, Gibson brought an 8×10 picture of President Trump to keep him company. No one said anything or complained about it. Down the road, his son, Eric, bought a mini cardboard cutout of Gibson holding the picture and standing next to the president. Again, no one said anything or complained. In fact, Gibson said people would take pictures of it.

Gibson stepped it up a notch with a life-size cardboard cutout of Trump and took it with him to dialysis. No one mentioned it or seemed to take any issue with it. A few days later he returned for his treatment and was told he could no longer bring the cutout with him. . .

The family didn’t say anything but decided to leave. Eric decided to contact the facility to figure out why his father was unable to bring the cardboard cutout with him.

“It was supposed to be an issue of safety infectious disease, which made no sense,” the son recounted.

WATCH: Cheers Erupt When Virginia’s ‘Assault Weapons’ Ban and Magazine Confiscation Bill Fails to Pass

In a major defeat for Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam and fellow Democrats in the commonwealth, the Virginia Senate Judiciary Committee voted to not move forward with HB961, the “assault weapons” ban and magazine confiscation bill, on Monday for the rest of the year.

In a 10-5 vote, with four Democrats joining the Republicans, the Judiciary Committee voted to for a crime commission to study the bill to see if it is worth pursing next year. The bill would have banned AR-15s and other similar styles of rifles and banned being able to own magazines that hold more than 12 rounds.

When the bill failed to pass, cheers erupted and some, including law enforcement officers, stood up in celebration. Virginia Delegate Mark Levine (D), who helped passed the bill in the House, and his colleagues in the front row were seen to be very disappointed.

The majority in the committee room were pro-Second Amendment activists, with a few gun control supporters in attendance as well.

John Bolton Accuses White House of ‘Censorship’

President Trump’s former national security adviser John Bolton accused the White House of “censorship” as he made his first public appearance since explosive details about Ukraine were leaked from his draft memoir.

Speaking to a capacity audience at Duke University on Monday, he complained that Trump was free to tweet about policy while he faced legal action if he spoke out, but said he hoped his book would not be suppressed despite a prepublication review and promised many more details from his time working for Trump. . .

“This is this is an effort to write history, and I did it the best I can,” he said. “We’ll have to see what comes out of the censorship.” . . .

It marked his first public appearance since leaked details from his draft memoir rocked the president’s Senate impeachment trial. In the manuscript, Bolton claimed that Trump told him critical military aid to Ukraine would be suspended until the country’s government announced investigations into former Vice President Joe Biden.

The revelation, just as the White House legal team was about to begin its defense of the president, triggered fresh Democratic calls that Bolton be called to give evidence. If true, the claim would undermine a key part of the White House defense: that the suspension of aid was separate to the request to investigate Joe Biden and his son Hunter Biden, who had worked for a Ukrainian energy company. Utah GOP Considering Resolution Calling for Mitt Romney to ‘Immediately Resign’ From Office

The Utah Republican Party is reportedly considering multiple resolutions following Sen. Mitt Romney’s vote to convict President Donald Trump in the impeachment trial, including a resolution calling for his resignation.

According to local Salt Lake City news outlet 2KUTV, “the Utah Republican Party has pending resolutions on Romney: one that expresses support for Trump’s acquittal, another that supports legislation to recall a U.S Senator and a third that calls for Romney to ‘immediately resign’ from office.”

The Utah GOP will possibly vote on these resolutions on Saturday, February 29, the report also states. It is unclear what kind of support the resolutions have.

Romney was the single Republican who voted for Trump’s removal from office on the charge of abuse of power. He did not, however, vote for Trump’s conviction on the charge of obstruction of Congress. Hunter Biden Was on Board of Trade Coalition Lobbying Obama Admin on Ukraine Aid

Hunter Biden was on the board of a trade coalition that lobbied the Obama administration in 2014 on foreign assistance to Ukraine, and appears to have set up a State Department meeting for the group’s president.

Biden’s links to the U.S. Global Leadership Coalition (USGLC) and its affiliate, the Center for U.S. Global Leadership, have gone largely unreported in the coverage of his various business dealings, which have caused a headache for his father as he runs for president.

The Bidens have been dogged by allegations that the younger Biden profited off of his last name. Similar allegations have followed organizations like Ukrainian natural gas company Burisma Holdings, which brought Hunter Biden on as a director in April 2014, despite his having no experience in the energy industry.

USGLC, which lobbies and advocates for increased spending in the State Department’s International Affairs Budget, added a series of Ukraine-related bills to its lobbying portfolio at around the same time, lobbying disclosures show. . .

Other directors have included executives and lobbyists from Caterpillar, Cargill, Walmart, Intel, Chevron, and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Think tanks such as the Bipartisan Policy Center and the American Enterprise Institute are represented on the group’s boards, as are officials with well-known NGOs like Save the Children and CARE, the anti-poverty group. Terrorists Kill 24 in Attack on Burkina Faso Church

Gunmen killed twenty-four people, including a pastor, in an attack on a church during Sunday mass in northwestern Burkina Faso, four security sources told Reuters on Monday.

It was not immediately clear who was responsible for the attack, which comes as jihadist groups with links to al Qaeda and Islamic State seek to gain control over once peaceful rural Burkina Faso, fuelling ethnic and religious conflict.

Hundreds have died over the past year, and over half a million people have fled their homes.

The timing of the shooting, during a church service in the village of Pansi in the Yagha region, mirrors that of other attacks on Christians in the past year, including church attacks and assassinations of pastors and priests. . .

It said 18 people were also injured in the attack and an unknown number were kidnapped. It added that a pastor was killed but did not specify that the attack occurred in a church during mass. (Read more from “Terrorists Kill 24 in Attack on Burkina Faso Church” HERE)

Obama Takes a Subtle Presidents Day Jab at Trump’s Best Argument for 2020; Here’s What Trump Had to Say

By Washington Examiner. Goodwill between presidents took a back seat on Presidents Day 2020.

Former President Barack Obama appeared to take a rare political jab at his successor in a tweet Monday that cast aspersions on President Trump’s claims that he deserves credit for recent economic gains, a key reelection platform for the 45th president. . .

The tweet was a rare swipe at Trump by Obama, who has largely stayed out of the 2020 election cycle. Obama has yet to endorse any candidate seeking the Democratic presidential nomination, but his input about the economy nonetheless provides ammo to the entire field as they seek to counter Trump’s 2020 campaign, which has been touting record economic growth in the face of controversies such as the Russia investigation and impeachment.

During the Great Recession, which began under President George W. Bush, the unemployment rate surged and peaked at around 10% in 2010 before it began a steady fall under Obama. The downward trend has continued under Trump. The unemployment rate as of January sits at a low 3.6%, with 225,000 new jobs added that month.

Trump often touts the low unemployment numbers while on the campaign trail, but Democrats and other critics have pointed out that the decline in unemployment started while Obama was president. (Read more from “Obama Takes a Subtle Presidents Day Jab at Trump’s Best Argument for 2020” HERE)

Obama Attempts to Take Credit for Current Economy, Here’s What Trump Had to Say

By Daily Wire. President Donald Trump responded to former President Barack Obama trying to take credit for America’s booming economy on Monday by calling him a con artist. . .

The Wall Street Journal asked 68 economists who was responsible for the booming economy and the economists suggested that it was “President Trump, and not Obama, who should be taking a bow.” . . .

The unemployment rates for blacks, Hispanics, and Asians have all hit all-time record lows under the Trump administration and more than 6.2 million Americans have been lifted off of food stamps.

“The surge of minority women getting jobs has helped push the U.S. workforce across a historic threshold. For the first time, most new hires of prime working age (25 to 54) are people of color, according to a Washington Post analysis of data the Labor Department began collecting in the 1970s,” The Washington Post reported. “Minority hires overtook white hires last year. Women are predominantly driving this trend, which is so powerful that even many women who weren’t thinking about working — because they were in school, caring for kids or at home for other reasons — are being lured into employment, according to The Post’s analysis.” (Read more from “Obama Attempts to Take Credit for Current Economy, Here’s What Trump Had to Say” HERE)

Mike Bloomberg in Resurfaced Video: ‘Black and Latino Males’ Don’t ‘Know How to Behave in the Workplace’

Billionaire Democrat presidential candidate Mike Bloomberg is facing renewed criticism over racially-charged remarks that he made in an old interview that has gone viral over the past couple of days on social media in which he said that blacks and Latinos do not know how to behave in the workplace.

Then-New York City Mayor Bloomberg made the remarks in a 2011 interview on PBS where he promoted a $127 million three-year initiative to help reduce disparities between young black and Latino men and the rest of the population.

“Bloomberg noted that he had donated $30 million from his foundation to Open Society Foundations, the network established by liberal billionaire financier Goerge Soros, toward the new plan to enhance employment among minorities,” Fox News’ Gregg Re reported. “Taxpayers and Soros himself contributed to the jobs initiative, which set up job recruitment centers in public housing projects, placed probation centers in ‘high-risk’ areas, and linked black and Latino success in schools to Department of Education ‘progress reports.’”

“Blacks and Latinos score terribly in school testing compared to whites and Asians. If you look at our jails, it’s predominantly minorities,” Bloomberg said, later adding that “virtually all” perpetrators and victims of crime were minorities.

Bloomberg later added, “But, nevertheless, there’s this enormous cohort of black and Latino males aged, let’s say, 16 to 25 that don’t have jobs, don’t have any prospects, don’t know how to find jobs, don’t know that the — what their skill sets are, don’t know how to behave in the workplace, where they have to work collaboratively and collectively.”

Teen Murdered 13-Year-Old for Mocking Islam — Family Is Suing the Grocery Store That Sold Him the Knife (VIDEO)

The family of a 13-year-old murdered in a stabbing attack by a Muslim teenager is suing the grocery store who sold him the knife he used in the crime.

Corey Johnson attacked Jovanni Alexander Sierra and others in 2018 in a horrifying attack in 2018. Johnson, who had converted to Islam prior to the attack, had been under investigation by the FBI because he was viewing radicalization propaganda online, including beheading videos.

“Corey Johnson has confessed his actions to our investigators stating that he stabbed the victims because of his religious beliefs,” said Palm Beach Gardens Police Chief Clint Shannon at the time. “Our understanding is he had converted to Islam and had been watching violent videos online.” . . .

The family filed a lawsuit on Monday against Publix for selling the knife to Johnson just hours before he killed Sierra. . .

“Publix has refused to change their reckless policy of selling knives to underage buyers and has spurned Florida law by intentionally failing to check identification before selling dangerous weapons to underage knife purchasers,” said the family’s lawyer to WPEC.
