Reporter Criticizes President Trump for Daytona 500 Appearance. It Doesn’t End Well.

A New York Times reporter criticized President Donald Trump for using his presidential limo, known as “The Beast,” during his visit to the Daytona International Speedway on Sunday. . .

Indeed, Trump was not in Daytona for a political event; rather, he was on hand as a VIP guest to give the iconic command of “Gentleman, start your engines” and to lead the field of 40 drivers during the pace laps before the race got under way.

“I’m sorry, but this is just an absurd characterization of what’s actually happening here and describing it this way betrays a real bias,” Mark Hemingway responded to Haberman.

“To be blunt, get a life, Maggie. Obama went to a #MarchMadness game and that was fine. Relax. I know the #Daytona500 is the opposite of what The Times represents readership-wise, but chill,” another person responded.

Senate Republicans Looking to Repeat 1986 Amnesty, Seeking President Trump’s Support: Sources

Senator Thom Tillis and other liberal Republicans are hell-bent on turning our rural communities into pipelines for cartel drug trafficking and criminal aliens. Rather than holding vote after vote on ridding our communities of sanctuary cities and dangerous criminal alien gangs and drug traffickers, liberal Republicans like Thom Tillis are working on, amazingly, more amnesty for illegal aliens. The North Carolina senator evidently doesn’t think that the Tar Heel State is turning blue like Virginia as quickly as he would like. He also believes that now that he lied about being tough on illegal immigration in order get Trump’s endorsement and scare away a primary challenger, he can go back to screwing his voters.

Two GOP staffers have informed me that Sen. Tillis, along with Sens. James Lankford (R-Okla.) and Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), began working this Wednesday on an effort to get Trump’s support for a mass amnesty bill that passed the House last year. Rosemary Jenks, government relations director of Numbers USA, which is opposing the bill, confirmed to me that those are the three leaders of the potential bill in the Senate. Conservative HQ, a publication run by legendary conservative Richard Viguerie, reports that Tillis is expected to be the lead Senate sponsor and that Vice President Pence’s PAC is rumored to be supporting this bill. I’ve heard the same from my sources in the Senate as well.

Tillis has already publicly praised the bill, and according to my sources, has met with Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue, along with several other GOP senators, to plan support for the bill. Notably, nobody from the DHS was present at the meeting to offer the border security perspective on the bill.

On December 11, House Democrats passed the Orwellian-named Farm Workforce Modernization Act (H.R. 5038). In plain English, it grants amnesty to every illegal alien in this country who claims to have worked at least part-time for agriculture and creates an unlimited agriculture guest worker program for the future to bring in millions of low-skilled workers. The cultural and fiscal costs are never factored in. It permanently tethers green cards for people coming in on these H-2 visas to the condition of working in agriculture for 10 years, creating an indentured servant model that, as Mark Krikorian observes, will prevent farms from ever modernizing and mechanizing their process because of the boundless flow of cheap labor.

What is so offensive about this bill is that the very reason these people are in the country to begin with is because we were lied to, including by some of the very same members of Congress who were there in 1986. Back then, they gave amnesty to 2.7 million illegal aliens, including 1.1 million who worked in agriculture, on the promise that future illegal immigration would be choked off by prohibiting illegal alien work in America. They pocketed the amnesty and then turned around and downright blocked enforcement of any of the laws and today are openly criminalizing enforcement in sanctuary states while encouraging illegal alien employment.

One would think that even Democrats, and certainly Republicans, wouldn’t have the chutzpah to show their faces before implementing our side of the deal from the last broken promise. Yet as if we are Charlie Brown with the football, they come with the same amnesty bill designed to reap the rewards of their insidious disobedience against the terms of the first amnesty.

In December, 34 Republicans supported that bill in the House, along with all but three Democrats. Undoubtedly, many more agree with the idea but were inclined to vote no as a minority party.

Curiously, the White House has been silent. Typically, such a transformative and consequential bill that passes the House would be met by what’s known as a Statement of Administrative Policy (SAP), expressing the president’s support or threat to veto. One would think Trump would veto an amnesty in a heartbeat, right? This bill was sponsored by Rep. Zoe Lofgren (D-Calif.), one of the House impeachment managers!

Well, if conservatives remain silent, that might not be the case. We already know that the president has permanently retreated from cutting the numbers of legal immigrants and from mandatory E-Verify, which was taken out of this year’s budget proposal. As with many issues, there are clearly competing voices within the administration, and if conservatives don’t get to the president first, the swamp will.

Remember when Thom Tillis suddenly got religion and introduced a bill to allow victims of criminal aliens to sue sanctuary cities? Although that bill was flawed, the idea behind it was good. The reason he introduced it was because he had a primary challenger with money. The minute Tillis secured Trump’s endorsement as being “tough on the border,” he had no need to push that bill any more, which is why you don’t see it coming up for a vote. Instead, it’s back to amnesty. The same dynamic played out with Lindsey Graham, who avoided a serious primary challenge by getting tough on illegal immigration for a few months.

How many more times will we be fooled?

The push by a North Carolina senator is especially jarring. I’ve reported on numerous cases of illegal alien sex offenders in North Carolina. According to the Epoch Times, one citizen in North Carolina collated criminal data from just 30 percent of North Carolina counties and found that in just the past 18 months, “more than 331 illegal aliens have been charged with 1,172 child rapes and child sexual assaults.”

Jobs in agriculture are the very magnet that was supposed to be shut off in exchange for the last amnesty. Why won’t Tillis ever consider the cultural, drug trafficking, and other criminal problems alongside the quest for cheaper labor? Why such a narrow focus?

The lesson for conservatives is we need to get to Trump before the swamp does. Otherwise, what is waiting for us on the other side of a victorious November election won’t be very victorious for the people who most ardently support the president. NY Man With 139 Arrests: ‘the Democrats Know Me and the Republicans Fear Me’

One thing is clear: New York Governor Andrew Cuomo and his fellow Democrats have the criminal vote locked up.

“Bail reform, it’s lit!” yelled Charles Barry, 56, on Saturday as he was being escorted by New York cops to Manhattan Central Booking for his 139th career arrest. “It’s the Democrats! The Democrats know me and the Republicans fear me. You can’t touch me! I can’t be stopped!”

Barry may be a criminal, but he’s not stupid and he’s not wrong. Indeed, they can’t touch him, which is why, according to court records, Barry had been arrested six times this year. It’s only six weeks into the new year, but Barry was released each and every time, which is why there is no deterrent against his serial subway crimes.

According to the New York Daily News, Barry has accrued six felonies, 87 misdemeanors, and 21 missed court hearings over his criminal career.

Barry was arrested for the latest subway crime when he was caught on Thursday jumping a turnstile. But according to police, he’s done a lot worse than circumvent the subway fare. He dresses up as an MTA worker and then robs unsuspecting transit riders as he pretends to help them purchase tickets.

“I’m famous! I take $200, $300 a day of your money, cr—-r! You can’t stop me!” Barry told reporters, according to the Daily News. “It’s a great thing. It’s a beautiful thing. They punk’ed people out for bullsh– crimes.”

Barry missed two court hearings since December, but that has not disqualified him from being released after subsequent arrests.

Much of the so-called criminal justice “reform” is being driven by the desire to save money on incarceration. But nobody in politics has bothered to quantify the cost to society of keeping thieves and robbers out on the streets undeterred. According to the NYPD, transit crimes are up 35 percent over this time a year ago.

Under New York’s new bail law, if the crime the offender is charged with at that moment is not one of the few that allows the judge to set bail, he must be released immediately, regardless of his prior record. Thus, criminals have an open invitation to continue committing their crimes over and over again. One of the mantras of criminal justice “reform” is the principle of offering “second chances.” The problem with legislation like this is that they are offering those chances to those who’ve already had many chances – in this case, 139.

This problem is not only endemic to New York. Washington state, another bastion of jailbreak policies, is notorious for low bail being offered even to repeat criminal offenders. Recently, a pair of bounty hunters joined KIRO radio in Seattle to discuss how criminals are laughing at the entire process because they are increasingly getting off easy.

“Right now, the requirements that they’re having for people to post bail is a lot, a lot less significant,” said Courtney Wimer from All City Bail Bonds in Tacoma and Everett. “Back when I first started, you couldn’t have 12 felonies and 37 warrants and still get released, and right now I see that on the daily.”

This is occurring all over the country. If it weren’t so dangerous and tragic for victims of crime, some of this would actually be funny. Sadly, it’s the criminals who are getting the last laugh. WATCH: Bernie Sanders Ad Touts Him as ‘First Jewish President’

A new video ad released Sunday by Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) touts him as the potential “first Jewish American president.”

In the 2016 campaign, Sanders downplayed his Jewish origins, with an ad that referred to him as the “son of a Polish immigrant who grew up in a Brooklyn tenement.”

But in 2020, amidst claims that has has aligned himself with left-wing antisemites and has an anti-Israel foreign policy, is he is trying a different tack.

The new Internet ad, “Bernie Would Be the First Jewish President,” runs for over two minutes.

It begins with teen climate activist Jamie Margolin declaring: “If Bernie Sanders was elected, he would be our first Jewish American president. As a Jewish American, that would be a huge step forward in this country and blowback against the rise of antisemitism in this country.”

Court Orders Tesla to Stop Cutting Down Trees

Elon Musk’s Tesla has been ordered to stop clearing forest land near the capital of Berlin, Germany, to build its new “Gigafactory.”

Reuters reports that a German court has ordered Tesla to stop cutting down trees in a forest near the capital of Berlin to make room for its first European “Gigafactory.” The electric vehicle maker announced plans last November to build a factory in Gruenheide, located in the eastern state of Brandenburg.

The ruling by the higher administrative court of the states of Berlin and Brandenburg comes shortly after the state environmental office gave Tesla permission to clear 92 hectares of forest to make room for the new manufacturing plant. However, the planning permission for the factory had not yet been granted meaning that preparing the ground for the factory was done at the company’s own risk. U.S. Military Issues Executive Order to Prevent COVID-19 Pandemic; China ‘Appoints Its Top Military Bio-Warfare Expert to Take Over Secretive Virus Lab in Wuhan’

By Futurism. American military leaders issued an executive order this week that mobilized the entire Department of Defense to prepare for a potential pandemic-level outbreak of the coronavirus COVID-19.

The order was referenced in memos sent out to Navy and Marine Corps officials this week, according to the Military Times. It includes plans to impose fourteen-day quarantines for servicemembers who recently traveled to China along with those who came into contact with them, as well as treatment plans for any confirmed cases.

“We are taking all appropriate precautionary measures to prevent any potential spread of the virus,” U.S. Forces Korea commander Army General Robert Abrams said last week, per Military Times. “Key for everyone is to follow standard hygiene protocols, and if not feeling well — get screened ASAP!”

At press time, the U.S. has only confirmed 15 cases of COVID-19. But with military outposts around the world, the Defense Department issued sweeping, service-wide warnings and orders so that it can be ready in advance, should the outbreak worsen. By Daily Mail. China has reportedly appointed its top military biological weapon expert to take over a secretive virus laboratory in Wuhan after the outbreak of a new coronavirus, sparking conspiracy theories that the health crisis could be connected to the army.

Chen Wei, a Major General of the People’s Liberation Army, was flown in to Wuhan by the central government late last month before officially taking the helm of Wuhan Institute of Virology, according to a report.

The 54-year-old’s designation prompted some people to speculate that the epidemic could have been spawned in the little-known lab and that the lab is run by Beijing’s military. Universal Pictures Plans to Release Movie About Hunting ‘Deplorables’ After All

Universal Pictures announced this week that it has decided to release “The Hunt,” a movie about liberal elites hunting “deplorables,” after all despite plans last fall to scrap the movie altogether.

“The most talked about movie of the year is one nobody’s seen yet. #TheHuntMovie opens in theaters Friday the 13th of March. #DecideForYourself,” Universal Pictures tweeted.

As CNSNews.com previously reported, according to the Hollywood Reporter, one character asks early in the screenplay, “Did anyone see what our ratf*cker-in-chief just did?” Another character responds: “At least The Hunt’s coming up. Nothing better than going out to the Manor and slaughtering a dozen deplorables.”

As CNSNews.com previously reported, the R-rated satire was pulled in the wake of recent mass shootings:

“While Universal Pictures had already paused the marketing campaign for The Hunt, after thoughtful consideration, the studio has decided to cancel our plans to release the film. We stand by our filmmakers and will continue to distribute films in partnership with bold and visionary creators, like those associated with this satirical social thriller, but we understand that now is not the right time to release this film,” it said in a statement on the film’s website. China to Burn Currency to Slow the Spread of Deadly Coronavirus

The Guangzhou branch of China’s central bank says it will destroy all banknotes collected by hospitals, wet markets and buses to ensure the safety of cash transactions as the country battles a coronavirus outbreak.

Financial news outlet Caixin reported on Saturday that officials at the People’s Bank of China’s (PBOC) branch in the southern city ordered that all paper currency from sectors with high exposure to the coronavirus be withdrawn for destruction.

Commercial banks in the province should put banknotes from these sectors aside, disinfect them and hand them in to the PBOC.

The order comes after Fan Yifei, deputy governor of the central bank, said on Saturday that 600 billion yuan (US$85.6 billion) of new banknotes had been distributed throughout the country since January 17, including 4 billion yuan (US$572 million) in fresh notes sent to Wuhan at the centre of the outbreak before the Lunar New Year.

More Than 1,100 Former DOJ Staffers Call on AG Barr to Resign

More than 1,100 former Department of Justice alumni signed a petition calling on Attorney General William Barr to resign. They take issue with the fact that he instructed the U.S. Attorney’s Office to reverse their recommendation for Roger Stone to serve between seven and nine years in prison. According to the petition, Barr did not uphold the department’s principle of “apply[ing] the law equally to all Americans.”

We, the undersigned, are alumni of the United States Department of Justice (DOJ) who have collectively served both Republican and Democratic administrations. Each of us strongly condemns President Trump’s and Attorney General Barr’s interference in the fair administration of justice.

“This obligation flows directly from the Constitution, and it is embedded in countless rules and laws governing the conduct of DOJ lawyers. The Justice Manual — the DOJ’s rulebook for its lawyers — states that ‘the rule of law depends on the evenhanded administration of justice’; that the Department’s legal decisions ‘must be impartial and insulated from political influence’; and that the Department’s prosecutorial powers, in particular, must be ‘exercised free from partisan consideration,'” the petition stated.

“Although there are times when political leadership appropriately weighs in on individual prosecutions, it is unheard of for the Department’s top leaders to overrule line prosecutors, who are following established policies, in order to give preferential treatment to a close associate of the President, as Attorney General Barr did in the Stone case,” the petition said. “It is even more outrageous for the Attorney General to intervene as he did here — after the President publicly condemned the sentencing recommendation that line prosecutors had already filed in court.”

Those who signed the petition feel that President Trump has interfered with department policies and “gravely damaged the Department’s credibility.”

Prosecutor Accuses Prince Andrew of ‘Groping Girls Right out in the Open’

The attorney general for the U.S. Virgin Islands said it is hard to investigate the alleged sex crimes of Jeffrey Epstein and Prince Andrew because of attempts to silence victims.

In an interview with Vanity Fair last week, the top prosecutor for the island, Denise George, said nondisclosure agreements enforced by the Epstein estate has made her investigation nearly impossible. She added that the agreements are being used to “conceal the criminal activity of Epstein and his associates who are still there.”

One such incident, according to George, includes an allegation that Andrew would openly grope underage girls.
