By Fox News. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s surging national profile has inspired a trio of Republican opponents from her home district — along with a multimillionaire mystery donor who could help close the gap in her foes’ long-shot race against her.

Just three months after taking office, the Democratic socialist congresswoman’s challengers include an Egyptian American journalist, who has already tossed her hat in the ring, and an NYPD cop-turned-high-school-civics teacher and conservative talk-radio producer, both of whom are seriously exploring a run against her.

And the fledgling challengers could get help from a wealthy New Yorker committed to backing an Ocasio-Cortez opponent, a GOP big said. . .

The Democratic Party Is Cracking Down on Candidates Who Hope to Be the Next Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez

By Business Insider. In late February, Lindsey Boylan, a former adviser to New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, received a pointed email from a powerful acquaintance.

The sender, a prominent Democratic party donor and activist, told Boylan that her plan to run for the Democratic nomination against incumbent Rep. Jerry Nadler of New York was a lost cause, and that she may have already “seriously impaired” her political future by simply considering the challenge. . .

Nadler is one of at least seven Democratic incumbents in New York alone who will likely face a primary challenge this cycle. One progressive New York consulting firm told INSIDER it’s considering putting together a primary tracker because they’ve been contacted by so many potential candidates.

There will likely be an uptick in Democratic primary challengers across the country after Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Ayanna Pressley managed to defeat sitting Democrats in New York and Massachusetts last year.

Watch: Reporter Ambushes Mueller Outside of Church on Easter Sunday

Over the last two years, Democrats have proven that they’re more than willing to do anything possible to take down President Donald Trump. They hate his policies. They hate his personal life. They hate everything he stands for. They hate him. The almost two-year long Russia probe was a witch hunt that turned up absolutely nothing yet Democrats have vowed to subpoena whoever they can. Essentially, they’re going to launch a different kind of witch hunt, one that the Democrats will control exclusively. And it’s being launched in Congress.

The mainstream media – really, we should call them the lamestream media – kept pushing the idea of “collusion! collusion! collusion!” and were ultimately proved wrong. CNN and MSNBC were two of the leading charges on that front. Still, even after the Mueller report has been released, they’re not happy with the findings. Because nothing was found.

MSNBC “reporter” Mike Viqueira decided to ambush Special Counsel Robert Mueller outside of his church… on Easter Sunday… to ask if he’d testify before Congress.

HIV Rising Amongst Homeless Population – Here’s Why

The Seattle Times reports that in clusters of heterosexual homeless men and women, HIV is rising due to the sharing of syringes and needles as the opioid crisis devastates the area. But, as the piece notes, Seattle is just one of many cities experiencing similar public health problems.

The Seattle Time’s Ryan Bethlen notes “Since January 2018, 17 people have contracted HIV in the cluster. The cases are connected to a strain of HIV that 26 people have been diagnosed with going back to 2008. Across King County, from 2017 to 2018, HIV diagnoses have risen threefold for heterosexuals who inject drugs.”

But this sort of disease is not limited to Seattle alone. Health experts told Bethlen that “the rapid increase of the infection rate is likely the coupling of a growing homeless population and the exploding opioid epidemic.” This has affected areas such as “Cincinnati, Scout County, Indiana, and in the Lowell and Lawrence areas of Massachusetts.”

Dr. Matthew Golden, director of Public Health’s HIV/STD program, said what Seattle has is “a growing population at risk.” Despite having a government-backed needle exchange program for drug users, “it wasn’t reaching people in this area and added to the virus.” (Read more from “HIV Rising Amongst Homeless Population – Here’s Why” HERE)

Explosions Rock Sri Lanka: At Least 130 Dead, More Than 500 Wounded

On Sunday morning, as people began their Easter celebrations, a series of six explosions rocked three churches and three hotels across the nation of Sri Lanka. Two more explosions occurred later in the day.

The reported death toll hasn’t been standard across news agencies, however, conservative estimates have placed it somewhere between 130 and 150, while other sources suggest that more have been killed. Most news agencies are reporting that at least 500 have been injured.

The targeted churches were in Colombo, Negombo, and Batticaloa, according to The New York Times, while the targeted hotels, the Cinnamon Grand, the Kingsbury, the Shangri-La, and the Topical Inn, are all within Sri Lanka’s capital city of Colombo. . .

According to AFP, an alert was sent out on April 11 by Sri Lankan Police Chief Pujuth Jayasundara, stating: “A foreign intelligence agency has reported that the NJT (National Thowheeth Jama’ath) is planning to carry out suicide attacks targeting prominent churches as well as the Indian high commission in Colombo.”

NYT Makes Stunning Admission About Steele Dossier

The salacious and uncorroborated “dossier” compiled by ex-British Intelligence officer Christopher Steele was used by the media to justify its endless attacks on President Donald Trump and accuse him of treason. . .

Now, after two years of using the dossier to perpetuate the “collusion” narrative, the New York Times has finally acknowledged what those of us not parroting the collusion delusion have known for years – the dossier was garbage.

“[T]he release on Thursday of the report by the special counsel, Robert S. Mueller III, underscored what had grown clearer for months — that while many Trump aides had welcomed contacts with the Russians, some of the most sensational claims in the dossier appeared to be false, and others were impossible to prove. Mr. Mueller’s report contained over a dozen passing references to the document’s claims but no overall assessment of why so much did not check out,” the Times reported.

The dossier will now be the subject of at least two inquiries – one from congressional Republicans and one from the Department of Justice’s Inspector General, who is looking into whether the FBI improperly relied on the propaganda document to obtain a Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court warrant to spy on Trump adviser Carter Page. . .

The FBI, according to the Times, appears to have been suspicious of the dossier since early 2017. That, however, was right around the time media outlets reported on the existence of the dossier – and Buzzfeed published the unverified document in a breach of journalistic ethics – and so the fact that the FBI doubted the dossier’s credibility was never part of the story. Watch: Woman Caught on Camera Dumping Bag of Newborn Puppies at Dumpster

A California woman was caught on camera cruelly discarding a plastic bag full of healthy, 3-day-old puppies at a dumpster, like so much trash. Riverside County officials are not taking it lightly, and are currently looking for the woman in the video, or any information that might lead to her.

In a Facebook post, they explain that the security camera footage shows the woman dumping the puppies next to a dumpster behind a NAPA Auto Parts store in Coachella. An employee of the store contacted animal services after a passerby discovered the 7 terrier-mix pups, trapped and overheating in the plastic garbage bag.

The responding officer, Jose Cisneros, asked to see the store’s security tapes and that was how they discovered the evidence, which includes not just the woman but footage of her vehicle. . .

“Animal Services’ veterinary team members cared for the puppies and lined up a rescue group partner organization to take over bottle feeding duties,” the Facebook post explains. “MeoowzResQ, a Southern California-based organization specializing in kitten and cat rescue and fostering, agreed to accept the pups.”

The man, identified as John, who found the puppies probably saved the puppies from dying from the heat, suffocation, starvation, or other possible outcomes. “The Good Samaritan played a major role in saving theses puppies’ lives,” said animal services Commander Chris Mayer. “His actions were humane and heroic.” (Read more from “Watch: Woman Caught on Camera Dumping Bag of Newborn Puppies at Dumpster” HERE)

Voter Stuns Reporter With His Message to Democrats After Mueller Report Release

By The Blaze. A reporter for the progressive cable news channel MSNBC was stunned by a New Hampshire voter who warned the Democratic party that they would lose in 2020 if they kept pushing the Mueller report after its release.

“But I do want to bring in one of the voters who I’ve been talking to this morning,” said Ali Vitali. “Harold Chase, and you’re someone who, now that you’ve seen the report come out, what are you thoughts?”

“Well my thoughts are that, like I said earlier, it’s just, it’s all false, the reports, there’s nothing in there that shows the President of the United States is guilty of anything,” Chase told her.

“There’s no Russian collusion and there’s no obstruction,” he continued, “you know they’re gonna try to find something, looking at that report, pick it apart and they’ll try to find something and run with it, and nothing’s gonna happen.” . . .

“Well, the report is out,” he replied. “I think they just need to move on, and just drop it, you know if they just keep going forward, they’re not getting anywhere.”

DOJ calls Nadler subpoena for full Mueller report ‘premature and unnecessary’

By Fox News. The Department of Justice responded Friday to House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler’s request for Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s full and unredacted report, dismissing the request as both “premature and unnecessary.”

DOJ spokesperson Kerri Kupec said in a statement that Attorney General Bill Barr provided Mueller’s report on Thursday with only “minimal redactions” and, “in the interest of transparency,” the department had provided certain members of Congress, including Nadler, with a report that had “even fewer redactions.”

“In light of this, Congressman Nadler’s subpoena is premature and unnecessary. The Department will continue to work with Congress to accommodate its legitimate requests consistent with the law and long-recognized executive branch interests,” Kupec continued.

‘Sickened’ Romney Attacks President Trump Over Mueller Report

Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT) on Friday declared he is “sickened” by the conduct of President Donald Trump and his aides as described in special counsel Robert Mueller’s report. . .

Romney’s blistering criticism following the Mueller report’s release Thursday morning by the Department of Justice. The special counsel specified his team did not find any evidence of a criminal conspiracy between the Trump campaign and the Russian government during the 2016 election. . .

The special counsel’s findings detailed how Trump campaign members heard in advance about a WikiLeaks release of emails that Russian intelligence obtained from the Democratic National Committee and Hillary Clinton’s campaign chairman John Podesta. The report states that while investigators found communications between Trump campaign aides and Russians, “the investigation did not establish that the Trump campaign coordinated with the Russian government in its election interference activities.”

Further, Romney said he was “appalled” that Trump campaign members were open to receiving aid from the Russian government. “I am appalled that, among other things, fellow citizens working in a campaign for president welcomed help from Russia—including information that had been illegally obtained; that none of them acted to inform American law enforcement,” he said. Good Friday ‘Way of Cross’ Services Commemorate Victims of Abortion

A national pro-life group says its “Way of the Cross” services celebrated on Good Friday at nearly 100 abortion facilities throughout the country will commemorate the victims of abortion.

Pro-Life Action League organized the services at which pro-life activists will “contemplate the suffering of Jesus Christ at our own modern day Golgotha, the abortion clinic,” said a profile of the event.

“As a society, we’ve become increasingly sensitive to the victims of injustice, and that’s to our credit,” said Eric Scheidler, executive director of the Pro-Life Action League, in a statement. “But we forget about the victims of abortion, starting with the more than 60 million unborn children who have lost their lives to legal abortion in the United States since 1973.” . . .

“There’s no better day to remember the victims of abortion than Good Friday, when we remember the suffering and execution of Jesus Christ, an innocent man who preached the value of every single human life,” Scheidler added, pointing out that the prayer vigils have become a central feature of the annual Holy Week religious observance for many pro-life advocates. A Day at Our Beleaguered Border: Human Smugglers Fire AK-47s at DHS Agents

One under-appreciated aspect of our border influx is not the more frequently covered direct humanitarian crisis, but the myriad more indirect, downstream effects of mass illegal immigration on the sundry denizens of the nation’s border states. One obvious such downstream effect is the metastasis of drug/gang/trafficking ring-induced violence all along the border. Earlier this week, the mayor of besieged Yuma, Arizona saw fit to symbolically declare a “state of emergency” for the town. And on Wednesday, the Phoenix, Arizona local ABC affiliate reported on a harrowing shootout between AK-47-wielding human smugglers and federal Department of Homeland Security agents:

Investigators continued to follow [U.S. citizen Warren] Jose for more than two weeks. Agents going to arrest him followed another vehicle connected to him on I-10 south of the Valley and as it exited the freeway began trying to get away from authorities.

The vehicle took off once the Homeland Security agents tried to get the SUV to pull over, hitting several other cars on the road and causing one agent’s vehicle to crash into a wall, according to court paperwork.

Once the SUV spun out, agents say Jose started firing at agents from the front passenger seat with an AK-47-style assault rifle. Agents returned fire, and in the exchange the SUV’s driver was hit and killed.
