Fired FBI Official McCabe Authorized Criminal Probe Of AG Sessions

By The Daily Wire. On Wednesday, a new report claimed that recently-fired senior FBI official Andrew McCabe authorized a criminal investigation into Attorney General Jeff Sessions more than a year ago to determine if he “lacked candor ” when testifying before Congress. . .

Sessions was interviewed by Special Counsel Robert Mueller two months ago about his testimony in which he was asked about his contacts with Russian operatives.

Attorney Chuck Cooper told ABC News, “The Special Counsel’s office has informed me that after interviewing the attorney general and conducting additional investigation, the attorney general is not under investigation for false statements or perjury in his confirmation hearing testimony and related written submissions to Congress.” (Read more from “Fired FBI Official McCabe Authorized Criminal Probe of AG Sessions” HERE)

Fired FBI Official Authorized Criminal Probe of Sessions, sources Say

By ABC News. Nearly a year before Attorney General Jeff Sessions fired senior FBI official Andrew McCabe for what Sessions called a “lack of candor,” McCabe oversaw a federal criminal investigation into whether Sessions lacked candor when testifying before Congress about contacts with Russian operatives, sources familiar with the matter told ABC News.

Democratic lawmakers have repeatedly accused Sessions of misleading them in congressional testimony and called on federal authorities to investigate, but McCabe’s previously-unreported decision to actually put the attorney general in the crosshairs of an FBI probe was an exceptional move.

One source told ABC News that Sessions was not aware of the investigation when he decided to fire McCabe last Friday less than 48 hours before McCabe, a former FBI deputy director, was due to retire from government and obtain a full pension, but an attorney representing Sessions declined to confirm that.

Last year, several top Republican and Democratic lawmakers were informed of the probe during a closed-door briefing with Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein and McCabe, ABC News was told. (Read more from “Fired FBI Official Authorized Criminal Probe of Sessions, sources Say” HERE)

This Lawsuit Is a Real Threat to Trump

By The Blaze. Summer Zervos, a contestant on “The Apprentice” in 2005, is bringing a defamation lawsuit against President Donald Trump.

Trump’s lawyers tried to get the case thrown out, but on Tuesday, New York State Supreme Court Justice Jennifer Schecter ruled that “no one is above the law” and Zervos can bring her case. Schecter wrote in her decision that the accusations were not related to any of Trump’s presidential duties and cited the precedent set when Paula Jones sued Bill Clinton for sexual harassment in the ’90s . . .

Glenn and Stu analyzed this story and the dangers for Trump on today’s show. Trump will obviously be in a lot more trouble if Zervos can provide evidence during her day in court, but one of the biggest risks for anyone in this situation is having to speak under oath, increasing the chances that you will make a mistake . . .

Stu pointed out that you can be pinned for a “wrongly worded phrase” once you’re under oath.

“The goal would be to wreck [Trump],” Stu said. “Just get him on something.” (Read more from “This Lawsuit Is a Real Threat to Trump” HERE)

‘No One Is Above the Law’: Trump Loses Bid to Dismiss Defamation Lawsuit by ‘Apprentice’ Contestant Who Says He Groped Her

By CNBC. A New York state judge Tuesday said “no one is above the law” as she denied President Donald Trump’s request to dismiss a defamation lawsuit by a former “Apprentice” contestant who claims he sexually groped her.

Manhattan Court Justice Jennifer Schecter’s decision, which allows the suit by Summer Zervos to proceed, rejected Trump’s argument that a sitting president cannot be subject to a state court’s jurisdiction.

Schecter cited the U.S. Supreme Court case that found a federal sexual harassment lawsuit against President Bill Clinton by former Arkansas state employee Paula Jones, who accused Clinton of exposing himself to her, could proceed when Clinton was in the White House. Socialist Party Plans to Close All Religious Schools

Catholic educators in Sweden have denounced a political party’s promise to ban all religious schools as a political maneuver capitalizing on people’s fears in order to obtain votes.

The Social Democratic Party in Sweden has proposed banning all religious schools (known as “confessional schools”) in the country, in what the party says is an attempt at better integration of students . . .

The Social Democrats have expressed concern that confessional schools contribute to the segregation of students, by religion and gender, and that they don’t teach children democratic values . . .

But Catholic educators in the country are concerned that the proposal would constitute a wide-ranging infringement on religious freedom and on already-restricted religious education in the country. Religious schools cannot charge tuition, and receive government funding.

“…there is a very negative public debate with a lot of pre-judgements against us and religion in general. We are very worried of course as the proposal is an aggressive assault against our Catholic community,” Paddy Maguire, principal of Notre Dame Catholic School in Gothenburg (located fewer than 300 miles southwest of Stockholm), and Daniel Szirányi, a board member of the same school, said in a joint statement. CDC: Youth Suicide Skyrockets 70% Over Last Decade. Here’s Why.

According to the Centers for Disease Control, youth suicide is in the midst of a precipitous and frightening rise. Between 2006 and 2016, suicides by white children between ages 10 and 17 skyrocketed 70%; while black children are less likely than white children to kill themselves, their suicide rate also jumped 77%. And as The Blaze points out, CNN reported last year that “the suicide rate among girls between the ages of 15 and 19 rose to a 40-year high in 2015.”

It’s not just young people. According to Tom Simon, a CDC report author, “We know that overall in the US, we’re seeing increases in suicide rates across all age groups.” As of 2016, suicide levels were at 30-year highs. . .

There seems to be a crisis of meaning taking place in America. And that crisis of meaning is heavily linked to a decline in religious observance. As The Atlantic observed in 2014, citing a study in Psychological Science:

The researchers found that this factor of religiosity mediated the relationship between a country’s wealth and the perceived meaning in its citizen’s lives, meaning that it was the presence of religion that largely accounted for the gap between money and meaning. They analyzed other factors—education, fertility rates, individualism, and social support (having relatives and friends to count on in troubled times)—to see if they could explain the findings, but in the end it came down to religion.

In other words, people need meaning and purpose in life. Our focus on materialism from both the political right and left — on income inequality and intersectional victimhood from the left, and on tribal affinity and economic deregulation from the right — ignores the key problem: Americans, particularly young Americans, increasingly don’t feel that their lives have purpose. This isn’t a problem that can be cured by redistributing Xboxes. This is a problem of the soul. (Read more from “CDC: Youth Suicide Skyrockets 70% Over Last Decade. Here’s Why.” HERE)

Leftist Site Runs INSANE Piece Bashing Defenders of Free Speech

. . .In a bizarre piece lamenting a new coalition of “far-right” figures rallying around the right to freedom of expression, journalist James Poulter pouts: The “far-right” is “uniting to defend their right to spout bulls*** to whoever will listen.” . . .

Of course, even if these “far-right” figures, or anyone else for that matter, wanted to spread subjectively-deemed “racist garbage,” that, too, should be protected from government censorship and punishment if you actually believe in freedom of expression. A wild concept, I know.

Poulter goes on to identify Tommy Robinson, Martin Sellner, Brittany Pettibone, and Lauren Southern as the “far-right” subjects of his scorn. For their controversial speech, Sellner and Pettibone were deported from the U.K. and Southern was stopped from entering the country under the Terrorism Act. Robinson subsequently held a rally in celebration of free speech at Speakers’ Corner in Hyde Park.

After acknowledging these instances and the stream of censorship occurring on college campuses, Poulter mocks the notion that freedom of speech is under attack at all.

“All of these incidents, combined with the disruption of some talks at universities, have convinced the far-right that their right to free speech is under attack. Robinson even released a video claiming, in characteristically understated manner, that he ‘won’t be around for much longer,'” he writes. Students Organize Walkouts to Protest Abortion

The Daily Wire. This week, students at a California high school launched a campaign to start a pro-life walkout using the hashtag #life on social media to organize.

The movement to protest abortions was started at Rocklin High School by Brandon Gillespie, who says he was inspired by his history teacher, CBS Sacramento reported.

Gillespie said the event is intended “To honor all the lives of aborted babies pretty much. All the millions of aborted babies every year.”

Naeirika Neev, a left-wing activist who runs the school newspaper and supported the anti-gun march, responded with a hypocritical and nasty message, saying, “They have their First Amendment, they can go protest about that anytime anywhere.” (Read more from “Students Organize Walkouts to Protest Abortion” HERE)

Student Planning Abortion Protest After School Shooting Walkout

By CBS Sacramento. This week, Rocklin High School students are using social media to organize a pro-life walkout using the hashtag #life . . .

As thousands of students across the country walked out of class demanding strict gun laws, in honor of the Parkland shooting victims, Benzel was placed on paid administrative leave when she asked students to consider whether there’s a double standard in the national school walkout.

“I would like a conversation about when is too much? And are we going allow this on the other side?” said Julianne Benzel

The principal at Rocklin High declined to meet with us for an on-camera interview, but a district spokeswoman tells us, he does plan to sit down with the student about the possible abortion walkout, and that’s not going over well with some of his peers. Youtube Bans Firearm ‘How to’ Videos

YouTube, a popular media site for firearms enthusiasts, this week quietly introduced tighter restrictions on videos involving weapons, becoming the latest battleground in the U.S. gun-control debate.

YouTube will ban videos that promote or link to websites selling firearms and accessories, including bump stocks, which allow a semi-automatic rifle to fire faster. Additionally, YouTube said it will prohibit videos with instructions on how to assemble firearms. The video site, owned by Alphabet Inc.’s Google, has faced intense criticism for hosting videos about guns, bombs and other deadly weapons.

For many gun-rights supporters, YouTube has been a haven. A current search on the site for “how to build a gun” yields 25 million results, though that includes items such as toys. At least one producer of gun videos saw its page suspended on Tuesday. Another channel opted to move its videos to an adult-content site, saying that will offer more freedom than YouTube.

“We routinely make updates and adjustments to our enforcement guidelines across all of our policies,” a YouTube spokeswoman said in a statement. “While we’ve long prohibited the sale of firearms, we recently notified creators of updates we will be making around content promoting the sale or manufacture of firearms and their accessories.”

YouTube has placed greater restrictions on content several times in the past year, responding to a series of issues with inappropriate and offensive videos. Most of those changes involved pulling ads from categories of videos. Google is more reluctant to remove entire videos from YouTube, but has been willing to do so with terrorism-related content. U.S. Muslim, Former FBI Informant Found Guilty of Trying to Create ‘ISIS Inspired’ Cell

An Ohio jury on Tuesday found a former FBI informant guilty of trying to create a terrorist cell in the U.S. to carry out attacks in the name of the Islamic State.

Erick Jamal Hendricks, of Charlotte, North Carolina, faces up to 30 years in federal prison following the jury’s decision to convict him on charges of conspiracy and attempting to provide material support and resources to a foreign terrorist organization.

Authorities say Hendricks’ mission was to recruit and train ISIS sympathizers to carry out attacks on U.S. soil. He vetted people to see if they were suitable to join his cell and espoused radical views. He instructed others to vet additional possible recruits through social media, authorities say.

Following testimony that lasted about a week, the jury announced its decision Tuesday morning. Deliberations had begun the prior afternoon. U.S. District Judge John Adams will sentence Hendricks at a later date.

“Protecting our citizens from terrorist attacks remains our priority and our community will be safer with this defendant behind bars,” U.S. Attorney Justin Herdman said in a statement. (Read more from “U.S. Muslim, Former FBI Informant Found Guilty of Trying to Create ‘ISIS Inspired’ Cell” HERE)

Gunfire Erupts: Bizarre Twist in Seth Rich Murder

By WND. . .As WND has reported, Jack Burkman, a lobbyist who has been investigating the Rich murder, has also filed a federal lawsuit that accuses Hillary Clinton and the Democratic National Committee of rigging the 2016 presidential primary. The complaint by Burkman also demanded the release of the hacked DNC server.

More recently, Burkman had offered a $25,000 reward to FBI whistleblowers willing to provide information about the agency’s treatment of the Clinton email investigation and the Russia probe . . .

Doherty, who was charged Monday, had worked as the lead investigator for the Profiling Project, a team of private, nonpartisan investigators hired by Burkman to probe the Rich murder. As WND reported, the group released an 80-page report in June containing preliminary findings, primarily concluding that Rich’s killing was not random, as police have long claimed, but “more likely (was) committed by a hired killer or serial killer.”

The project, an “all-volunteer group of current and former George Washington University forensic psychology graduate students and instructors,” said it came together for the investigation to “aid the Washington, D.C., Metropolitan Police utilizing forensic psychology skills and tools in hopes of providing at least one actionable item.”. . .

Private investigators have claimed there is evidence Rich was the source WikiLeaks used to obtain thousands of Democratic National Committee emails released on the eve of the party’s presidential nominating convention last July. The emails, indicating the party was manipulating the primary race in favor of Hillary Clinton, led to the resignation of DNC chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz. On July 22, just 12 days after Rich’s death and days before the Democratic Party Convention in Philadelphia, WikiLeaks released 20,000 emails from DNC officials. Seth Rich Investigator: A Fake FBI Informant Lured Me Into Parking Garage and Shot Me

By Big League Politics. Lobbyist Jack Burkman, who has spent the past year and a half investigating the 2016 murder of Democratic National Committee staffer Seth Rich, tells Big League Politics in an exclusive interview that he was shot twice and hit by a black SUV after being led into a Virginia parking garage by a supposed FBI informant.

A fellow Seth Rich investigator has been arrested and charged for the shooting. Burkman says he did not definitively recognize the suspect during the shooting.

“The doctor said I’m the luckiest guy in the world. They think it was a .22. One inch in either direction it would have hit an artery, and the bullets could have gone up into my stomach. I’m lucky beyond comprehension. There were ten ways to die,” Burkman told Big League Politics. Burkman suffered a broken arm, broken wrist, and bruised ribs after being hit by an SUV following his shooting . . .

Last month, Burkman received a new round of emails on his Proton email account from a supposed FBI informant using a fake name.

“He approached me about a month ago as an FBI informant who had information that we wanted,” Burkman said. “We never met, we were just doing drops through a Proton email. He gave me fake resumes that looked real and fake credentials. What he was doing was luring me to this parking garage and he opened fire. He fired a .22, once in the leg, once in the butt.” (Read more from “Seth Rich Investigator: A Fake FBI Informant Lured Me Into Parking Garage and Shot Me” HERE)

‘Europe Will Be Muslim’ Says Turkish Leader

. . .“There is no remedy for it. Europe will be Muslim. We will be effective there, Allah willing. I am sure of that,” said Alparslan Kavaklıoğlu, a member of the ruling Justice and Development Party in Turkey . . .

He recently said: “The fortune and wealth of the world is moving from the West to the East. Europe is going through a time that is out of the ordinary. Its population is declining and aging. It has a very old population. So, people coming from outside get the jobs there. But Europe has this problem. All of the newcomers are Muslim. From Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iraq, Iran, Syria, and Turkey. Those who come from these places are Muslim. It is now at such a level that the most popular name in Brussels, Belgium is Mohammed. The second most popular name is Melih [Malih] and the third one is Ayşe [Aisha].”

Kavaklıoğlu’s comments were reported by Usay Bulut, a Turkish journalist now working in Washington, in a commentary at the Gatestone Institute.

The Turkish lawmaker is not the country’s first to stress the importance of population growth, the commentary explained.

“In 2009, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who was prime minister at the time, called on the public to have at least three children per family. The greater our numbers, he said, ‘the stronger we will be.’ Since then, Erdoğan has been trying to encourage Turkish nationals to multiply. In 2013, he reiterated his plea: ‘We need a young and dynamic population. … Right now, the West is in trouble. But we do not want to put Turkey in the same trouble. I am calling on my country through mothers: Do not take this sensitivity of ours lightly. We need to make this widespread, in waves. We need to make this happen. The [value] of this cannot be measured with money or any other physical wealth.’” (Read more from “‘Europe Will Be Muslim’ Says Turkish Leader” HERE)
