Dem Senator Ditches Wife for CEO of Democrat Media Operation

Sen. Chris Murphy (D-CT) has become more vocal, exposing voters to his insufferable tendencies. Elitism thy name is Murphy. The guy is a left-wing blowhard who doesn’t do much but whine. If it’s not that, it’s leading attacks against the Second Amendment. You don’t need to do much to be elected from Connecticut as a Democrat. Yet, Mr. Murphy might be another example of the Democrat-media complex at work literally.

He recently left his wife and shacked up with the CEO of a pro-Democrat news operation. Both parties declined to comment for Semafor:

One of the Democratic Party’s most notable digital media leaders is dating one of the party’s most media-friendly lawmakers, according to a Washington Democrat and a pointed Instagram post.

Tara McGowan, the CEO of the network of digital media sites known as Courier Newsroom, has been linked to Connecticut Sen. Chris Murphy, who recently separated from his wife. McGowan posted a selfie of the duo last week on her private Instagram, captioned “not postponing joy,” which was shared with Semafor.

In recent months, Murphy has become one of the most visible Democratic lawmakers, speaking out against President Donald Trump and Elon Musk in television and digital media interviews and posting his own vertical videos across social media — taking a page out of a media playbook that McGowan and other Democratic digital strategists have pushed since Trump’s victory in November.

Senators Urge Colleagues, Trump To Disregard Far-Left American Bar Association

The American Bar Association has long been a hive of leftist thought and activism. But while the nearly 150-year-old “national voice for the legal profession” claims it’s comitted to to “defending liberty and pursuing justice,” it fails on both counts. The ABA has stood silent as far-left allies weaponized the government against their political enemies, and it has rallied around discriminatory policies in the name of “social justice.”

Now a group of lawmakers led by Sen. Eric Schmitt, R-Mo., is urging Senate colleagues to “disregard ABA recommendations on pending legislation or nominees.”

“It is a failed institution that is incapable of impartially rating nominees and making legislative recommendations,” states a letter from six conservative senators to American Bar Association President William R. Bay. “As such, we will not consider any ABA recommendations on pending legislation or nominees, and we call upon our colleagues to do the same.”

The letter, first obtained by The Federalist, is signed by Schmitt and fellow senators Mike Lee, R-Utah, Ted Cruz, R-Texas, Josh Hawley, R-Mo., Marsha Blackburn, R-Tenn., and Bernie Moreno, R-Ohio. It hammers a hypocritical legal association that has been on a crusade against Trump 2.0 for what the ABA bills as “wide-scale affronts of the law,” even as it cheered on President Trump’s leftist predecessors for trampling the Constitution.

Because it is a “biased and ideologically captured institution,” the senators assert the ABA has — in legal parlance — no standing in advising Congress, particularly in its ratings on judicial nominees and pending legislation. The lawmakers also are calling on the president and the Department of Justice “to remove the ABA from the judicial nomination process entirely.” (Read more from “Senators Urge Colleagues, Trump To Disregard Far-Left American Bar Association” HERE)

‘God Makes No Mistakes’: Major Decision for Teacher Fired for Not Using Student’s Trans Pronouns

A Wisconsin school district agreed to pay out $20,000 to a teacher who was terminated for refusing to use preferred names and pronouns for transgender students.

Jordan Cernek, an English teacher, sued the Argyle School District in July 2024 after his contract was not renewed, alleging the district violated his right to free exercise of his religion and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

“Mr. Cernek has a sincerely held religious belief that God makes no mistakes when it comes to sex and gender and that calling a transgender student by a name or pronouns at odds with their biological sex would cause Mr. Cernek to affirm that God made a mistake in creating a transgender person as a male or a female,” the lawsuit filed by the Wisconsin Institute for Law & Liberty stated. “In Mr. Cernek’s religious view, affirming a transgender person’s identity through the use of preferred names and pronouns would be speaking a falsehood and violate his religious beliefs.”

The case was dismissed in February after parties reached the settlement, according to court records. (Read more from “‘God Makes No Mistakes’: Major Decision for Teacher Fired for Not Using Student’s Trans Pronouns” HERE)

Obamas ‘Soft Launching’ a Divorce?

Are the Obamas ‘soft launching’ a divorce?

Rumors the Obamas were headed for a divorce began in December after Michelle Obama skipped Jimmy Carter’s funeral and announced she wouldn’t be attending Trump’s inauguration.

It was also recently reported that Barack and Michelle Obama’s largest donors have dropped them amid rumors about their marriage.

Last month Meghan McCain added fuel to the long-swirling speculation surrounding the marriage of Barack and Michelle Obama, claiming that her sources have confirmed the former first couple is living “separate lives.”

“I have been hearing this rumor that the Obamas are getting a divorce from very reputable people,” McCain revealed on political reporter Tara Palmeri’s podcast, “Somebody’s Gotta Win with Tara Palmeri.”

“I’m not talking about TMZ. I’m not talking about Perez Hilton, although I love him, he’s my friend. I’m talking about serious journalists telling me the divorce rumors are true.” (Read more from “Obamas ‘Soft Launching’ a Divorce?” HERE)

Trump: Elon Musk Has ‘Done a Great Job’

During this week’s broadcast of Fox News Channel’s “Sunday Morning Futures,” President Donald Trump dismissed naysayers who claimed friction between him and Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) head Elon Musk.

Trump gave Musk his vote of confidence despite opponents claiming he was “overstepping.”

“Look, the Democrats say that Elon Musk and DOGE are overstepping their bounds. You’re right. What Elon Musk and DOGE have been able to uncover is unbelievable,” host Maria Bartiromo said. “Half of us did not even realize.

Yikes! Another Plane Crash in Pennsylvania

Fire and medical crews are responding to a plane crash off Airport Road near Brethren Village in Manheim Township. Lancaster County-Wide Communications dispatchers received reports shortly after 3:15 p.m EDT. that a small aircraft had crashed near a parking lot at Brethren Village. The crash ignited fires involving the plane and multiple vehicles.

LancasterOnline has more:

Emergency crews on the scene reported that a total of five people were injured in the incident. Dispatchers were unable to comment on the extent of the injuries.

Brian Pipkin, a Lititz resident who was visiting Brethren Village at the time of the crash, said he was driving on Airport road when he saw the plane flying low.

“I don’t know what played into it but it veered left,” Pipkin said. “It just nosedived.”

Pipkin said he couldn’t tell if the plane struck a parking lot at Brethren Village or a building. He called 911.

Pipkin said he saw two people laying in the grass nearby, covered in black marks. He wasn’t sure if they were ejected from the plane or not.

Here’s Why Democrats Are Trying To Force a Government Shutdown

The radical left is at it again, folks. As we approach the March 14 deadline to fund the government, Democrats are playing their favorite game: manufacturing a crisis to force through their bloated spending agenda.

While Republican leadership works tirelessly to pass a sensible continuing resolution (CR) that would freeze spending and secure our southern border, Democrats are deliberately orchestrating a shutdown. Their endgame? Protecting their precious slush funds and derailing President Trump’s America First agenda.

And, of course, stopping the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) dead in its tracks.

“Congress must keep the government open so that DOGE can continue to eliminate waste, fraud and abuse in our government. This continuing resolution is necessary to advance President Trump’s agenda,” Rep. Andy Harris, the chairman of the House Freedom Caucus, said in a post on X. “I fully support it.”

That’s what’s at stake. Keeping the government funding will allow DOGE to maintain its vital oversight functions. But Democrats would rather shut down the government than allow transparency and accountability. (Read more from “Here’s Why Democrats Are Trying To Force a Government Shutdown” HERE)

We Need To Ban Idiots From Using Historical Analogies

If there’s one person who can give David French a run for his money as the self-absorbed “principled Christian” who’s actually a cankerous blight on the conservative movement as a whole, it’s the editor-in-chief of Christianity Today — Russell Moore.

We’ve chronicled Moore’s moral bankruptcy many times here at The Federalist, from his refusal to celebrate the overturning of Roe v. Wade because Trump achieved it to his advancement of regime propaganda during the Covid-19 pandemic and his involvement in the push for amnesty for illegal aliens.

In short, he’s an oafish clown no one should look to for spiritual or political guidance. Though entertaining to mock, dimwits can become dangerous to the health of public discourse when they manage to fail upward into a position of prominence and begin to believe that they truly earned that spot.

No doubt believing that his “expertise” gives him the right to comment on such matters, Moore decided to weigh in on the ongoing efforts by President Donald Trump to broker a peace deal in the Russo-Ukraine War with a piece pretentiously titled, “The Moral Cost of Murdering Ukraine.” Moore, an unrepentant Never Trumper, wasted no time equating Trump’s attempts to bring both sides to the table to end this destructive three-year war with “abandoning Ukraine.”

“As many have noted, the geopolitical, military, and diplomatic costs of attacking allies and appeasing enemies are incalculable. As American Christians, though, we should also consider the moral cost of abandoning Ukraine,” Moore writes. (Read more from “We Need To Ban Idiots From Using Historical Analogies” HERE)

Mark Carney Named as Canada’s Prime Minister-Elect Amid U.S. Trade War

Canada selected a new prime minister-elect on Sunday night, as Justin Trudeau’s reign nears a close amid a trade war with the United States.

Canada’s Liberal Party announced that Mark Carney was chosen to succeed Trudeau after party members voted in a nominating contest between four candidates.

In his acceptance speech, Carney addressed U.S. President Donald Trump’s tariffs on Canada and the threat Trump has posed towards the country, calling the current events the “greatest crisis of our lifetimes.”

“We didn’t ask for this fight, but Canadians are always ready when someone else drops the gloves, so the Americans, they should make no mistake, in trade as in hockey, Canada will win,” Carney said.

Indirectly addressing Trump’s calls to make Canada the 51st state of the U.S., Carney added, “America is not Canada, and Canada never, ever will be part of America in any way, shape or form.” (Read more from “Mark Carney Named as Canada’s Prime Minister-Elect Amid U.S. Trade War” HERE)
