Woke Paris Politician Blames Americans and Our Air Conditioning for Europe Heat Wave That has Killed 1,300 People

A Paris politician blamed Americans and US air conditioning for the record-breaking heatwave in Europe that has resulted in more than 1,300 excess deaths.

After US tourists mocked France over the lack of air conditioning across the country amid 104 degree temperatures, Audrey Pulvar, deputy mayor of Paris for international relations, claimed the situation was partly America’s fault.

“Dear American journalists and social media ‘influencers’: for days, some of you have been criticizing and making fun of Paris because the city does not have A/C in every room…OMG, this is so rich!” Pulvar wrote on social media.

“As the second-largest emitter of greenhouse gas emissions in the world, you bear a significant amount of responsibility for global warming and the consequences we, in France, are experiencing. Your cities, which are 90 per cent air conditioned, are not unrelated to this,” she added.

Venezuela Earthquake: Nearly 1,500 Dead, over 50,000 Estimated Missing

The socialist government of Venezuela has documented 1,450 people killed by twin massive earthquakes last week, over 3,000 injured, and potentially upwards of 50,000 people missing as international rescue missions deploy to the South American nation.

Venezuela suffered two earthquakes, one magnitude 7.2 and one 7.5, on Wednesday night, centered in La Guaira state. The earthquakes devastated La Guaira and parts of the capital, Caracas, resulting in large numbers of collapsed buildings and the destruction of much of what remains of the dilapidated Venezuelan power grid. After over 25 years of socialism, Venezuela does not have a functional healthcare system or emergency services, and early videos from the sight of the disaster showed desperate victims using the flashlights on their mobile phones as emergency gear, trying to peer into the rubble of former buildings to find people trapped.

The government of the United States was among the first to respond to the calamity, coordinating with interim President Delcy Rodríguez to deploy emergency search and rescue teams as soon as possible by using world class military aircraft to overcome the challenge of the earthquakes destroying the runways at La Guaira’s airport. Other countries such as Chile, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), India, Spain, and Mexico, as well as international aid organizations, have since organized humanitarian missions to help with both the search and rescue operations and caring for survivors.

The scale of the devastation remains uncertain at press time. According to the Venezuelan socialist regime, hundreds of people are believed to be missing. The Emirati newspaper The National reported on Monday, however, that anti-socialist opposition members compiled a list of about 50,000 people whose whereabouts have been unknown since the earthquakes, which corresponds with what Telemundo reported was a United Nations estimate of the number of missing people as of Monday.

Venezuela has historically been vulnerable to massive earthquakes, though typically not more than two per century; the 7.5-magnitude quake on Wednesday was the most severe documented in the country since 1900. The deadliest earthquake before the current one in the past century occurred in 1967 and was accompanied by a devastating tsunami that left 245 people dead and thousands injured. The number of dead is expected to be significantly higher this time around as the 1967 earthquake was estimated to be 6.6 in magnitude and also because the socialist government of late dictator Hugo Chávez invested in building massive government housing units in the early 2000s that were not constructed to withstand intense earthquakes. Many of these buildings collapsed entirely with their residents inside.

SCOTUS Rules 5-4 to Permit Counting of Mail-In Ballots that Arrive After Election Day

The Supreme Court (SCOTUS) ruled that state laws allowing for the counting of mail-in ballots after election day are not in violation of federal law, a blow to the Republican National Committee and President Donald Trump’s administration.

On Monday, SCOTUS issued a 5-4 ruling that permits states to count mail-in ballots — sent on or before election day — that are received by state election officials after election day.

Justice Amy Coney Barrett wrote the majority’s opinion, joined by Chief Justice John Roberts as well as Justices Sonia Sotomayor, Elena Kagan, and Ketanji Brown Jackson.

“Two principles are important here. First, post-election-day receipt, considered on its own, does not conflict with the election-day statutes,” the Court writes:

Second, state law is preempted by the federal election-day statutes only “‘so far as the conflict extends.’” So even if plaintiffs are right about Mississippi law, they would still lose the challenge they have pressed in this litigation: that post-election-day ballot receipt is itself unlawful. The Framers recognized the difficulty of crafting election laws “applicable to every probable change in the situation of the country.” So instead of constitutionalizing election law, they decided that “a discretionary power over elections” needed to be lodged “somewhere.” Suffice it to say, that power was not lodged in this Court. The election-day statutes say nothing about ballot receipt, and we cannot add to the words Congress chose.

Tucker Carlson Breaks from GOP: ‘No Chance I Would Support the Republican Party’

Former Fox News host Tucker Carlson broke from the Republican Party, stating that he was no longer able to support a party that “puts the interests of a foreign country above those of its own citizens.

While speaking on an episode of the Can’t Be Censored podcast, Carlson criticized the Trump administration for not being serious when it comes to strengthening the U.S. relationship with Canada and for being “completely focused on the Middle East.” Carlson also stated that the United States had gone to war with Iran “because of pressure from the prime minister of Israel.”

Carlson also pointed out that Canada is the United States’ “closest ally in the world” and “most important,” adding that “what happens in Canada matters a lot more than what happens in Israel or Lebanon or Iraq or Iran.”

When asked by host Karman Wong if he thought that the upcoming midterm elections would be “the first chance” to get a “temperature read” on how Americans feel about the Trump administration, Carlson pointed out that the polls “tell a pretty clear story about it.”

“Well, the poll numbers now are … tell a pretty clear story about it. I would not support the Republican Party, there’s no chance I would support the Republican Party,” Carlson said. “No going to support the Democratic Party, I don’t know what I’m going to do. But, at this point, how could you support, how could I or any American voters support a political party that’s not loyal to the United States? Archaeologists Unearth Ancient Treasure Cache at Biblical City Connected to Genesis

Archaeologists have uncovered a cache of ancient treasure at the site of Heliopolis, the storied Egyptian city mentioned in the biblical story of Joseph. . . 

Heliopolis, known in the Bible as “On,” makes multiple appearances in Genesis, the Book of Jeremiah and the Book of Ezekiel. 

Genesis 41:45 notes that Joseph’s wife, Asenath, was the daughter of Potipherah, a priest of the city.  

The cache, found beneath a burial structure containing human remains, included five pairs of yellow-colored metal earrings that archaeologists believe may be made of gold.

Poll Shows Wide Support for Less Legalized Migration

Thirty-three percent of Americans — and 54 percent of Trump voters — say legalized immigration should be reduced or zeroed out, according to a poll for a globalist magazine.

Twenty-three percent of respondents and 46 percent of liberals, but only 8 percent of Republicans, said immigration should be increased, according to the June poll of 1,549 citizens.

Swing-voting moderates split 28 percent for less or zero migration, and 20 percent want migration to be increased, said the poll, which was conducted for The Economist magazine.

A large 30 percent slice of respondents said legal migration levels should be kept at current levels. But there is no evidence that the YouGov pollster provided any information to those respondents that the current inflow of permanent and temporary legalized migration delivers roughly two new migrants for every four U.S. births each year.

Trump Official says US Control of Greenland Could Bring Back All-You-can-Eat Shrimp at Red Lobster

A Trump-appointed official who has spent years promoting closer American ties with Greenland says doing so could have an unexpected payoff: the return of all-you-can-eat shrimp at Red Lobster.

Thomas Dans, the chairman of the US Arctic Research Commission and a Texas financier, made the unusual suggestion in a New Yorker magazine profile that portrayed him as one of the driving forces behind President Trump’s push to expand US influence in Greenland.

“My view is that the United States could take all the seafood Greenland could produce, and cut out the middleman, and keep it from China — and you could bring back all-you-can-eat shrimp at Red Lobster,” Dans told the New Yorker.

The magazine reported that Dans, accused by Danish authorities of helping run “influence operations” aimed at increasing American sway over the Arctic island, served on a previously undisclosed National Security Council task force focused on Greenland during Trump’s first term.

Montreal Cop Killed after Rampaging Incel Gunman Ambushed Officers in Heavily Jewish Neighborhood

A rampaging incel gunman killed a police officer before being gunned down during an ambush shooting at a Montreal grocery store on Monday — which also left a local Rabbi dead and a policewoman wounded.

Residents in the city’s Côte-des-Neiges neighborhood were told to take shelter at around 12:30 p.m. after a gunman was spotted prowling the area, the Montreal Gazette reported.

Harrowing footage of the shooting shows a pair of officers engaging the gunman, who rushes at them with a rifle and camouflage clothing.

The gunman appeared to have a semi-automatic rifle. Witnesses reported hearing up to 30 shots.

Constable Mohamed Lamine Benredouane, 34, was killed during the shootout. A female officer, who has yet to be identified, was also wounded in the attack.

Trump’s Iran Agreement Embraces Sanctions Relief, a Policy He and His Team Once Denounced

For years, President Donald Trump, Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Vice President JD Vance argued against deals that provided financial concessions to Iran, saying that giving the regime money fuels terror. But now the agreement they’ve reached to end the war with Tehran is poised to hand the regime billions.

For the better part of a decade, Trump’s central indictment of former President Barack Obama’s Iran nuclear deal was simple: Giving Tehran access to frozen assets enriched a dangerous regime and got the United States little in return.

Trump’s current secretary of state and vice president went even further, co-sponsoring legislation as senators that argued Iranian frozen funds could not be safely released because the money, even with rules governing its use, could end up being utilized in a dangerous way.

Now, all three are backing an agreement that spells out US commitments to potentially release those funds and lift sanctions on Tehran but leaves specific details on Iran’s nuclear program to future negotiations.

Administration officials have downplayed the significance of the written document and said the movement of any money will be performance-based. They also have said the atmosphere of this deal is different from previous ones because the US has degraded Iran’s military.
