On Thursday, while addressing Thursday’s plane crash near Washington, D.C., President Donald Trump blasted both the Obama and Biden administrations for prioritizing diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives within the Federal Aviation Administration and the Department of Transportation.
“I put safety first. Obama, Biden, and the Democrats put policy first, and they put politics at a level that nobody’s ever seen,” Trump told reporters in the White House briefing room. . .
“It’s one thing for internet pundits to spew up conspiracy theories,” Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) said. “It’s another for the president of the United States of America to throw out idle speculation even as victims are still being recovered and families are still being notified. It turns your stomach.”
But Trump was not wrong.
In fact, concerns about the FAA’s DEI policies are not new. Critics have long argued that these policies have distracted from essential safety measures, particularly during a period marked by air traffic controller shortages, outdated equipment, and an increase in near misses. Reports indicate that the air traffic controller on duty during the incident was effectively managing the responsibilities of two people. The U.S. Department of Education announced Friday that it has ended the Biden administration’s dangerous sexual and social experiments on America’s school children by reinstating the first Trump administration’s rules governing Title IX.
The Biden administration’s Title IX overhaul was poised to do significant damage to schools and students — K-12 through college and throughout the country — but was halted in multiple states until it was ultimately thrown out nationwide for attempting to change the definition of sex to include claims of multiple genders.
“The Biden Administration’s failed attempt to rewrite Title IX was an unlawful abuse of regulatory power and an egregious slight to women and girls,” Acting Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights Craig Trainor said in a Friday press release. “Under the Trump Administration, the Education Department will champion equal opportunity for all Americans, including women and girls, by protecting their right to safe and separate facilities and activities in schools, colleges, and universities.”
Biden’s Title IX, as Trainor noted, ripped apart civil rights protections for women and girls in school. It would have effectively turned separate facilities, such as restrooms and locker rooms, into civil rights violations if they remained off-limits to individuals of the opposite sex (so long as these individuals claimed an incoherent gender identity). Obviously, this put girls at risk every day in school, as boys would be allowed to enter their private spaces and make them feel uncomfortable. As Americans found out in 2021, this also opened the door for sexual violence against girls. The rewrite would also have forced girls to sleep in the same rooms as boys on events like overnight field trips.

Teresa “Milo” Conseulo Youngblut, a female student at the University of Washington who identifies as transgender, is accused in the shooting death of Border Patrol Agent David Maland, an Air Force veteran, on the side of a highway near the Canadian border on Jan. 20. Agents returned fire, killing Youngblut’s companion, German national Felix “Ophelia” Bauckholt, a man who identified as a woman.
While investigating Youngblut and Bauckholt’s Toyota Prius, authorities found ammunition clips, a ballistic helmet, hollow-point ammo, lodging information, night-vision goggles, pistols, radios, and “a dozen electronic devices, some of which were wrapped in foil,” according to the New York Post.
The vehicle had North Carolina plates. The Hasbro Children’s Hospital, an affiliate of Brown University Health, has removed a webpage publicizing their pediatric gender clinic services, which included puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones, from its website.
The Medical Director of the Hasbro Children’s Hospital Gender and Sexuality Program, Jason Rafferty, is the lead author of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) child sex-change policy, which supports the use of puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, and sex-change surgeries. President Trump recently signed an executive order that labels these interventions as “chemical and surgical mutilation” based on “junk science” and strips institutions pushing gender ideology of federal funding. In response to President Trump’s order, pediatric gender clinics across the country are closing their doors, including Children’s National Hospital in Washington, D.C., and VCU Health and Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU.
The web page removed from Hasbro’s Children’s Hospital titled “Gender and Sexual Health Services for Children, Teens, and Young Adults” states the clinic was accepting new patients and was providing children as of January 16th, 2025, according to an internet archive. The archived page states “The Gender and Sexuality Program at Rhode Island and its Hasbro Children’s Hospital provides a safe environment, education, and access to specialty medical care drawing upon current evidence-based practices and the unique needs of each individual child.”

Doomed Blackhawk’s Call Sign Spawns More Mystery
By Alyssa Guzman. The call sign for the doomed Black Hawk helicopter that crashed into an American Airlines plane and killed more than 60 passengers has sparked mystery as the public struggles to make sense of the tragic incident.
The Black Hawk was marked as a PAT 25, which stands for priority air transport and is usually reserved for when the Army is conducting VIP missions, such as having officials onboard.
The Army has confirmed no officials were onboard the aircraft, which was carrying three soldiers, a standard sized crew, according to Fox News Journalist Jennifer Griffin.
The military aircraft was conducting a training flight, according to Joint Task Force-National Capitol Region Media Chief Heather Chairez. It belonged to B Company, 12th Aviation Battalion out of Fort Belvoir in Virginia.
However, some aren’t buying those claims, and question what the crew was carrying onboard for it be designated as a PAT 25.
Jacq Cerra, who is in the Army, is one of the people questioning it, saying on TikTok: ‘I’m telling you right now – and they can kill me for saying it – under no circumstances is a military helicopter, especially a f**king Black Hawk, accidentally crashing into a commercial plane.

Witness: Something Look Really Wrong
By Niamh Shackleton. One person to have spoken out is Ari Schulman, who had been driving along the George Washington Parkway – a route he often takes – when the tragedy unfolded.
Speaking to NBC Washington, Schulman said: “I always look [at the planes landing] when I’m driving home. It’s always a really interesting, elegant sight. They’re all nice and spaced out in a beautiful line when they’re coming into land.”
Going on to recall what’s presumed to have been the American Airlines flight, Schulman described its route as looking ‘totally normal’ to him and, keen to see it land, so he turned back onto the road again.
“I wanted to get another look to try and see the plane land, so I turned back again a few seconds later and it looked very, very wrong,” he recalled.
“[The plane] was turned hard to the right – maybe 90 degrees or more to the right. I could see the underside of the plane, and it was very, very dark out so you shouldn’t be able to see the underside of a plane.
“But I could see it. It was illuminated bright yellow and there was a stream of sparks underneath it. It looked to me like a giant Roman candle.” (Read more from this story HERE)

The three soldiers in the chopper also didn’t survive. As bodies were being recovered, the Left didn’t waste any time trying to blame Donald Trump for this crash. We didn’t have confirmation yet that no one survived, and they were pulling this nonsense.
First, Aaron Rupar has yet to delete this tweet about funding cuts that might have contributed to this crash. It didn’t show that airport security is an entirely different animal. Some tried to hit Trump for his federal worker buyouts and how that won’t help the supposed shortage of quality air traffic controllers; these people can’t work from home.
We should wait for all the facts to come out. But I find it *absurdly* unlikely that axing an advisory committee had anything to do with the crash tonight. Trump didn’t eliminate air traffic control.
