Hundreds of Los Angeles’ Top Firefighters Were Terminated or Suspended for Refusing COVID Jab

More than 100 firefighters from the Los Angeles Fire Department were suspended without pay over their refusal to comply with the city’s COVID-19 vaccine mandate.

The city placed 108 firefighters who had not complied with the city’s vaccine mandate on leave without pay, the LAFD’s Cheryl Getuiza told the Washington Examiner on Tuesday. This came after the department said Monday that 113 firefighters had been placed on unpaid leave, according to ABC 7.

“The number of firefighters placed off duty changes daily due to members updating their information with the city,” Getuiza said. “Today, 108 firefighters are on unpaid leave because they have chosen not to comply with the city’s mandate — to get vaccinated or file for an exemption.”

This move came after the city sent out 222 notices in November to employees who had not yet received a COVID-19 vaccine or a medical exemption.

A measure was approved Aug. 18 by the Los Angeles City Council that required all city employees to be vaccinated by Oct. 20 unless they obtained proof of a religious or medical exemption. The city’s vaccine mandate requires unvaccinated employees to submit proof of two COVID-19 tests each week until Dec. 18, which is the vaccination deadline. Unvaccinated employees are charged a $65 fee for each test, which is deducted from their paychecks. Biden Says He’s Considering Preemptively Pardoning Anthony Fauci, Maybe Two Others

President Joe Biden confirmed in an interview with USA Today that he is considering preemptive pardons for Dr. Anthony Fauci and former Republican Rep. Liz Cheney.

Following Biden’s decision to pardon his son Hunter (after months of insisting he would not do so), Politico reported that the president was considering pardoning those he thinks President-elect Donald Trump may target, including Fauci, Cheney and Democratic California Sen. Adam Schiff. Biden told USA Today that he has not made a decision on whether or not he will pardon them in his last 12 days in office and that it depends on who Trump appoints to his cabinet.

“Well, a little bit of it depends on who he puts in what positions. If in fact, he … here’s how … I was very straightforward with Trump when he got elected. I invited him immediately to the White House. I spent two hours with him,” the president said about the preemptive pardons.

“He talked about, he was very complimentary about some of the economic things I had done. And he talked about − he thought I was leaving with a good record, kind of thing. I tried to make it clear that there was no need, and it was counterintuitive for his interest to go back and try to settle scores,” he added.

USA Today Washington Bureau Chief Susan Page asked the president if Trump gave him an answer on what he planned on doing once sworn in to office. Biden said he did not give him an answer and “just basically listened.” (Read more from “Biden Says He’s Considering Preemptively Pardoning Anthony Fauci, Maybe Two Others” HERE)

This Can’t Be Real: Local News Anchor Doesn’t Turn Off His Computer and It’s All Caught on Camera

Jake Gadon was caught viewing some raunchy photos on his computer during an on-air interview and the shameful slip-up video is quickly gaining traction online.

It looks like this ‘foul play’ is all on Gadon’s shoulders. The newest CBS Sacramento sports anchor kicked off 2025 with an epic error that is sure to put him in the hot spot with the powers-that-be at the network.

A video of his news report showed the anchor sitting at his desk in the news room. At first glance, the setting seemed to reflect what most would expect to see. Post-it notes were stuck on the wall and a keyboard and mouse were placed on top of a desk which boasted several monitors.

There was just one thing that stuck out. One of the screens showed an enlarged photo of a woman in spicy red lingerie, and it seems to be a photograph of of Rihanna’s most recent lingerie ad for Savage X Fenty.

Gadon really had one job here — switch off the screen before going on-air. (Read more from “This Can’t Be Real: Local News Anchor Doesn’t Turn Off His Computer and It’s All Caught on Camera” HERE)

Mexican President Suggests Renaming the United States After Trump’s Gulf of America Threat

Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum clapped back Wednesday at President-elect Donald Trump’s threat to rename the Gulf of Mexico — saying the US should actually be called “Mexican America.”

Trump, 78, announced Tuesday during a Mar-a-Lago press conference he had ambitions to rebrand the Gulf of Mexico to “Gulf of America.”

In response, Sheinbaum, 62, showed off a 1607 map with the Gulf of Mexico being identified as such and North America labeled as Mexican America.

“Why don’t we call it Mexican America? It sounds nice, no?” asked the Mexican leader, apparently in jest.

Sheinbaum added, “with all due respect,” that Trump was wrong to state that violent drug cartels are running Mexico, rather than “the people.” (Read more from “Mexican President Suggests Renaming the United States After Trump’s Gulf of America Threat” HERE)

Here’s the Other Obstacle the LAFD Is Facing Responding to These fires…and It Goes Beyond Lack of Water

The Los Angeles County wildfires are raging out of control. We have six active fires. None are contained. Malibu, Pacific Palisades, and other communitas have been burned to ash. This fire destroyed at least 25,000 acres, which led to evacuation orders for 70,000 people to avoid the blaze. That figure is bound to increase. Meanwhile, every firefighter has been recalled, but the hydrants are without water.

It’s a classic case of Democratic government incompetence that’s led to this nightmare. The lack of preparation, water maintenance, and protocols for these annual natural disasters is appalling. You can’t blame everything on climate change, which Democrats always do, especially when such a dubious scientific theory didn’t spark this fire.

The Military That Cried ‘White Supremacy’

In retrospect, maybe the military should have spent a little less time worrying about “white supremacists” and paid more attention to black Muslims. As you’ve no doubt heard by now, an Army veteran, Shamsud-Din Jabbar, who happened to be a black Muslim, slaughtered 14 New Year’s revelers in New Orleans last week.

For the past four years, the Pentagon, the Department of Homeland Security and President Biden have warned about the looming threat of white supremacy amid constant references to Jan. 6 — but not to BLM, in which police officers actually died. Apart from getting more girls and transgenders into the military, it seems like rooting out “white supremacists” has become the military’s full-time job. (Proposed new U.S. Marines’ slogan: “We’re looking for a few good men … who think they’re women.”)

Biden, repeatedly: “According to the intelligence community, terrorism from white supremacy is the most lethal threat to the homeland today. Not ISIS, not al-Qaida — white supremacists.”

To deal with the crisis, the greatest fighting force in the world scoured the social media accounts of its white troops, in search of “ties to white supremacists or violent extremists.” Considering the vast amounts of truthful information censored from social media under Biden — e.g., about COVID, masking, social distancing, Biden’s senile dementia, Hunter Biden’s laptop — I’d love to see what the military considered evidence of “ties to white supremacists.”

Even before Biden was sworn in, the Pentagon made a big point of announcing that troops guarding the inauguration — especially those who would be close to Biden and Kamala Harris! — would be carefully vetted. (I just hope that crack unit of muffin-topped gals who almost got Donald Trump killed in Butler, Pennsylvania, were available.) (Read more from “The Military That Cried ‘White Supremacy’” HERE)

Trump Says Don Jr. Will Visit Greenland in Preparation for It Becoming ‘Part of Our Nation’

By Mediaite. President-elect Donald Trump announced on Monday that his son Donald Trump Jr. would visit Greenland in preparation for the territory becoming “part of our nation.”

“I am hearing that the people of Greenland are ‘MAGA,’” wrote Trump in a post to Truth Social:

My son, Don Jr, and various representatives, will be traveling there to visit some of the most magnificent areas and sights. Greenland is an incredible place, and the people will benefit tremendously if, and when, it becomes part of our Nation. We will protect it, and cherish it, from a very vicious outside World. MAKE GREENLAND GREAT AGAIN!

Trump also posted a video of a Greenland man in a red “Make America Great Again” hat encouraging the president-elect to buy the country.

“Buy us. Buy Greenland, because we don’t want to be colonized by Danish government anymore,” said the man in the video. “We are the richest nation in the world and we don’t get to use it. Denmark’s using us too much. I love America.” (Read more from “Trump Says Don Jr. Will Visit Greenland in Preparation for It Becoming ‘Part of Our Nation’” HERE)

Trump Plants MAGA Flag on World Stage, Puts Denmark, Panama, Canada on Notice

By Washington Times. President-elect Donald Trump on Tuesday outlined an ambitious plan for U.S. expansion by seizing control of Greenland, the Panama Canal and maybe even Canada.

He refused to rule out military action to acquire Greenland and the Panama Canal but said he would rely solely on economic force to make Canada part of the United States.

He questioned Denmark’s legal claim to Greenland, criticized China’s role in operating the Panama Canal and the late President Jimmy Carter for transferring the canal to Panama in 1979, and said Canada gets far more than it gives in its dealings with the U.S.

“I’m talking about protecting the free world,” he said at a press conference at his Mar-a-Lago club in Florida.

His remarks set a muscular foreign policy tone less than two weeks before his Jan. 20 inauguration. (Read more from “Trump Plants MAGA Flag on World Stage, Puts Denmark, Panama, Canada on Notice” HERE)

Republicans Grapple With Trump’s Position on Package for Tax Cuts and Spending

Republicans are divided on a strategy to move the Trump administration’s agenda, and some want more input from President-elect Donald Trump, while others are fine to hash it out on their own.

Before Republicans can knuckle down and fully develop what will and won’t move through the filibuster-proof budget reconciliation process, they need to know whether they have one colossal bill to work with, or if they can divide Mr. Trump’s agenda between two bills.

Congressional leaders are split on which approach to take. Mr. Trump has waded into the congressional back and forth over the last few days, but has not taken a firm position with either side.

“I like one big, beautiful bill and I always have, I always will,” Mr. Trump said on Tuesday. “If two is more certain, it does go a little bit quicker because you can do the immigration stuff early.”

Senate Majority Leader John Thune, South Dakota Republican, and some in his conference want to take the two-bill track, which could move key items in Mr. Trump’s agenda, like border security funding, much faster. General Mark Milley, Pentagon Approved Directed-Energy Weapons for Use on June 2020 DC Rioters, Source Says

The chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff under Presidents Donald J. Trump and Joe Biden told colleagues that he and the Department of Defense authorized use of directed-energy weapons against June 2020 rioters at Lafayette Park in Washington D.C., a highly placed source told Blaze News.

Retired Gen. Mark A. Milley — who served as the 20th chairman of the Joint Chiefs from October 2019 through September 2023 — made the disclosure at a private gathering in October 2024, the source said.

“Milley told a small group in October of 2024, ‘We had directed-energy weapons at Lafayette Park in June 2020’ to be used against rioters,’” the source said.

According to Blaze News’ source, who was present at the meeting, “In the full context of the discussion, I took that to mean that both Milley and then-Secretary of Defense Mark Esper had signed off on the use of those weapons.”

Esper, the 27th secretary of defense, was sworn in on July 23, 2019, and was fired by President Trump on Nov. 9, 2020. Blaze Media reached out to Esper for comment but did not get a reply by press time. Actor Springs Into Action to Help Firefighters, Move Stranded Cars as Flames Rage

Steve Guttenberg sprang into action to help firefighters and moved cars stranded on Sunset Boulevard by residents fleeing the fire, he exclusively told Fox News Digital. “It’s kind of like Zombieland, you know, there’s all these abandoned cars all over the street.”

James Woods thanked first responders in posts shared online for keeping his community safe before evacuating his home as flames from the Palisades Fire roared through hills in his backyard.

Woods, 77, captured images of the wildfire as he evacuated, and kept fans updated throughout the day as the flames reached “two houses” away from his own home. The wildfire sparked Tuesday morning in the Pacific Palisades area of Los Angeles.

Los Angeles Fire Department officials confirmed the Palisades Fire broke out after 11 a.m. near the southeast side of Palisades Drive. Evacuation orders were issued as the blaze grew to approximately 200 acres in size.

Guttenberg – known for his roles in “Police Academy” and “Three Men and a Baby” – urged people who were leaving their vehicles behind while evacuating to also leave their keys, so crews could make their way through to the fire.
