By Philip Messing. A uniformed TSA agent lured a college student into a La Guardia Airport men’s room under the pretense she needed more screening — and then he molested the woman, sources told The Post on Friday.
Shortly after the attack, suspect Maxi Oquendo allegedly pretended to pore over surveillance video looking for the perp, but he was identified by witnesses and arrested . . .
The sick attack happened right after the 22-year-old victim, from South Korea, got off a Southwest Airlines flight from Salt Lake City at about 8 p.m. Tuesday in Terminal B and was allegedly approached by Oquendo, 40 . . .
Oquendo was working as a TSA evening supervisor that night. After learning that a sex complaint had been filed, he went through the motions of reviewing video surveillance footage, sources said.
But two female witnesses who work at the airport were able to help provide a description that matched the heavyset Oquendo, sources said. (Read more from “Student Molested by TSA Agent in New Work Airport” HERE)

TSA Screener Accused of Molesting College Student in LaGuardia Airport Bathroom
By Carolina Leid. A TSA screener is accused of sexually assaulting a woman at LaGuardia Airport in New York City after telling her she needed to be searched in the bathroom.
The suspect did not post $3,000 bail and was moved to jail late Friday night.
Defense attorneys argued two witnesses said they saw another man, but prosecutors say the victim picked Maxie Oquendo out in a lineup.
The TSA screener is accused of using his job to lure a passenger into a bathroom at LaGuardia Airport under the guise that he needed to search her for weapons.
Maxie Oquendo allegedly sexually assaulted a 22-year-old student from South Korea after her Salt Lake City flight landed Tuesday afternoon. (Read more from this story HERE)

A challenge to the National Security Agency’s bulk collection of telephone-call data was dealt a setback Friday when a U.S. appeals court said a judge shouldn’t have moved to block the program, which he called “almost Orwellian.”
U.S. District Judge Richard Leon in 2013 granted legal activist Larry Klayman’s request for an order to halt the NSA’s collection of his data. Leon then put that ruling on hold pending a government appeal.
A divided three-judge panel Friday overturned Leon’s order while saying Klayman’s case can still go forward. The judges all agreed Klayman hadn’t shown he is likely to succeed, but two of them said he should have the opportunity.
One of the two, U.S. Circuit Judge Janice Rogers Brown, said it was entirely possible the Obama administration may rightfully refuse to turn over the information Klayman requests.
“Such is the nature of the government’s privileged control over certain classes of information,” she wrote. “Regulations of this sort may frustrate the inquisitive citizen, but that does not make them illegal or illegitimate.” (Read more from “Obama Administration Wins Ruling in NSA Data Collection Case” HERE)

By Eric Boehm. A rancher is taking the Environmental Protection Agency to federal court, asking a judge to stop the agency from fining him more than $16 million because he built a small pond on his property.
Andy Johnson of Fort Bridger, Wyoming says he made sure to get the proper permits from his state government before building the pond. After all, this is America in the 21st century, and nothing done on your own property — certainly when it involves the use of water — is beyond government concern.
Johnson is facing millions in fines from the federal government after the EPA determined his small pond — technically a “stock pond” to provide better access to water for animals on his ranch — is somehow violating the federal Clean Water Act.
“We went through all the hoops that the state of Wyoming required, and I’m proud of what we built,” Johnson said. “The EPA ignored all that.” (Read more from “Wyoming Man Files Suit Over Massive EPA Fines for Building Pond” HERE)

Wyoming Man Takes EPA to Court
By Wyoming Tribune Eagle. A southwest Wyoming farmer is taking the Environmental Protection Agency to court for what he says is an illegal overreach of its authority.
Andy Johnson of Fort Bridger has been locked in a battle of wills with the EPA since 2013, when he built a stock pond on his property to provide a watering hole for his cattle.
Not long after the pond was built, however, the EPA informed Johnson that the pond, which is connected to Six Mile Creek south of Fort Bridger, was in violation of the Clean Water Act.
Johnson protested, stating that he had sought and received a permit through the state engineer’s office, which subsequently confirmed that the stock pond met all of the office’s legal requirements.
But that failed to convince the EPA, which sent Johnson a compliance order in January 2014 instructing him to remove the stock pond or face $37,500 in fines for every day he refused to do so. (Read more from this story HERE)

Hillary Clinton’s lead in the Democratic presidential race is the slimmest it’s been in years, as Donald Trump keeps a stranglehold on the GOP race, a new poll found Friday.
Clinton maintains 45 percent support among Democrats, but Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) is up to 25 percent, according to a Reuters/Ipsos tracking survey released Friday.
It’s Clinton’s smallest lead since Reuters started polling Democratic voters on her candidacy in 2012, the news service noted.
Vice President Biden, who is rumored to be mulling a White House bid, drew 16 percent. The remaining people polled were undecided or voting for other candidates.
Trump received 33 percent support among Republicans, crushing his closest rival, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, at 12 percent. (Read more from “Poll: Clinton’s Lead Shrinks as Trump Maintains Dominance” HERE)
If you get your news exclusively from BuzzFeed, then today is the first day you’ve even heard of the Center for Medical Progresses’s Planned Parenthood sting videos. Why? Because Planned Parenthood hired someone to try and prove the sting videos were faked in an attempt to discredit CMP. And that’s what BuzzFeed reported:
First of all, are you sh***ing me?
Secondly, this is pure evil. BuzzFeed has taken sides and is actively defending an organization which butchers babies and sells their parts. And then they’re pretending to be a news organization.
The byline of this “article:”
A new analysis of hidden-camera videos shows deceptive editing was used to portray a Planned Parenthood official discussing fetal tissue procurement. Tapes were spliced to mislead viewers at least 42 times in five tapes, the analysis says.
Really? What, did BuzzFeed finally do their due diligence and take a look at the FULL VIDEOS THAT HAVE BEEN PUBLIC FOR EVERYONE TO SEE with every quote in context? Nope. And yet even in the full videos, Planned Parenthood is butchering children and selling their parts. So…
Thirdly, Planned Parenthood PAID the company to “FIND” the “misleading” edits. That’s like Budweiser funding a group to find that alcoholism is no big deal. Or Starbucks paying a group to find that caffeine is the new cure to cancer (I maintain that it is). Those of us with what is commonly referred to as a “brain” call this a “conflict of interest.”
Hidden-camera videos depicting abortion doctors discussing the use of fetal organs for research were deceptively edited to mislead viewers, a Planned Parenthood-sponsored analysis revealed on Thursday. The reproductive health organization called the tapes a “fraud.”
From the Planned Parenthood-funded report:
While these analysts found no evidence that CMP inserted dialogue not spoken by Planned Parenthood staff, their review did conclude that CMP edited content out of the alleged “full footage” videos, and heavily edited the short videos so as to misrepresent statements made by Planned Parenthood representatives.
CMP released this statement in response to Planned Parenthood:
Planned Parenthood’s desperate, 11th-hour attempt to pay their hand-picked “experts” to distract from the crimes documented on video is a complete failure. The absence of bathroom breaks and waiting periods between meetings does not change the hours of dialogue with top-level Planned Parenthood executives eager to manipulate abortion procedures to get high-quality baby parts for financially profitable sale. While even Planned Parenthood’s “experts” found “no evidence of audio manipulation” in the recordings, it is telling that Planned Parenthood is trying so hard to pretend that their staff did not refer to a dismembered fetus as “a baby” and “another boy.” Planned Parenthood’s abortion providers are far more honest about the brutal reality of their work than the paid political consultants at the national office. If Planned Parenthood really wants to disprove the now-overwhelming body of evidence that their affiliates traffick in baby body parts, they should release their fetal tissue contracts with the for-profit company StemExpress for law enforcement, Congress, and all the world to see.
So what’s really going on here? A giant cover up. BuzzFeed is attempting to cover up abortion. BuzzFeed is trying to defend Planned Parenthood by attacking the Center for Medical Progress. BuzzFeed knows their audience is largely uneducated on current politics, and that if it doesn’t exist on the BuzzFeed homepage, it may as well not exist at all.
So rather than cover the story accurately, or at all (they’ve never posted on the videos as they were released), they decide to try and discredit the entire thing with a “SELECTIVELY EDITED” headline. It’s a glaring bias that often occurs by omission.
As a matter of fact, I have some direct experience with BuzzFeed. When I was working as a freelance writer, I was put in touch with “BuzzFeed Ben” (Ben Smith) to pitch a column. Ben Howe was the one who facilitated the introduction. He heads up their Politics division. He was actually very polite, but the response ended with this:
Don’t. Do. Opinion Columns.
Of course, they have the right to refuse any pitch, and that’s not what this is about. Do me a favor. Go check out BuzzFeed.com and tell me if that’s what you see. Tell me if you see hard-hitting journalism, straight down the middle news, unbiased reporting or hell… even strong, original content.
Or maybe, tell me if you see nothing more than opinion commentary, thinly veiled as borderline plagiaristic “aggregation.”
Of course BuzzFeed does opinion. They only do opinion. The issue here is: they only do FAR-LEFT opinion. They lie to their constituency. The worst part is that their audience will never know. The bias occurs not only when BuzzFeed flat-out lies (as they have today) but by all of the stories they choose not to cover. In this case, all of those innocent babies lives that they opted not to acknowledge, to brush under the rug. But you know…. they don’t “do opinion.”
Evil bastards. (Re-posted with permission, “LEAKED: BuzzFeed Tries to Defend Planned Parenthood and They’re Caught in Blatant Lies…” originally appeared HERE)

Donald Trump told Mark Halperin yesterday that his sister, a federal judge, would be a “phenomenal” Supreme Court justice. He also said that “we will have to rule that out now, at least.”
If he ever becomes president, let’s hope he rules it out permanently. Maryanne Trump Barry came up in my book The Party of Death for writing one of those heated judicial decisions in favor of giving constitutional protection to partial-birth abortion. She called a New Jersey law against it a “desperate attempt” to undermine Roe v. Wade. It was, she wrote, “based on semantic machinations, irrational line-drawing, and an obvious attempt to inflame public opinion instead of logic or medical evidence.” It made no difference where the fetus was when it “expired.”
So: The right of abortionists to make a child “expire” by partially extracting her from the womb, sticking scissors in the back of her head, vacuuming out her brain, and crushing her skull to complete her extraction, is right there in the Constitution. But let’s please not have any “semantic machinations.” (Read more from “Donald Trump PRAISES His Sister, a Pro-Abortion Extremist Judge” HERE)
They had it all. The GOP party bosses appeared to be winning every legislative and electoral battle with conservatives. After beating back almost every primary challenge in 2014 and after passing one liberal bill after another with the support of Democrats, the elite technocrats and cronies within the party were high-fiving and slapping each other’s backs over their successfully crushing of the tea party.
Except – they never won anything. It was all an illusion. And in fact, their temporary victories set the stage for an irrevocable defeat in the long-run.
Last cycle, in my previous job, I was heavily involved in recruiting primary candidates to run against the phony Republican political class. The most striking lesson throughout the election season was that not a single establishment Republican would run on the veracity of their views – the ones they espouse and pursue in Washington. They co-opted all of our talking points on the core issues while often accusing the conservative candidates of being ideologically impure. In addition, they used their superior money, resources, and talent to bury the upstart candidates – most of whom had only rudimentary campaign resources and novice staff – before the candidates could even define themselves.
The bravado from the GOP establishment was only emboldened by the smashing victory over the Democrats in the general election.
At the time, verses from Psalms (10: 5-6, 10) came to mind:
His ways prosper at all times; Your judgments are far removed from him. All his adversaries-he blows at them. He says to himself, “I will not fall; for all generations I will not be in adversity.” He crouches, he bows down, and an army of broken people shall fall by his signals.
Blinded by their pomposity and a false sense of security, the oligarchs in the Washington Cartel – as Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) refers to them – overlooked two points:
1) They didn’t win anything. They actually won on a mandate to pursue the priorities of the very enemies they thought they vanquished – conservative Middle America. They wanted possession of the ball, and now they had it. But the voters did not plan for them to march the ball into the K Street or Obama’s end zone; they elected these politicians as one last opportunity to put them first. There were no more excuses and this was their last chance.
2) They forgot about Obama. They overlooked the fact that Obama is not your run-of-the-mill Democrat president who would fade away in his final two years after suffering a humiliating defeat in the midterm elections. The GOP elites projected their own impassivity to Obama’s radical transformation on Middle America voters as well, wagering that they won’t care about Obama’s dastardly deeds enough to demand action.
The establishment had planned to “clear the decks” of any contentious issue by giving Democrats whatever they desired, freeing them to focus on trivial items and payback for their donors. They would then ride a controversy-free year into the presidential election with Jeb Bush (or someone similar), raise a ton of money from day one, and crush the conservative base in the primary. After all, this formula had always worked auspiciously in their favor for the past few election cycles.
However, just two weeks after the November elections, Obama announced the nullification of all immigration laws and the suspension of enforcement of our borders and sovereignty. The GOP treated it like another day in the political playground and failed to see that this was a revolutionary act in the eyes of Middle America. And as 2015 came upon us, it was one issue after another and one broken promise after another. Between the fallout from amnesty and the release of criminal aliens, ObamaTrade, the Planned Parenthood videos, the fomenting of insurrection and dismantling of law enforcement, allying with Iran, the courts remaking the Constitution and redefining marriage while preserving Obamacare – there was a bursting sense of disquiet among the people. It became painfully clear that the GOP had no plans to lift a finger to stop Obama and his allies on a single important issue, and that he had a free lane to remake the country in his final months.
All it took was a man with money, pomp, and fame to burst onto the scene and strike the match on the lighter fluid that had long been marinating in the electoral wood pile. Trump’s official stances on a lot of critical issues are being overlooked because, for the most part, this is not even about Donald Trump. This is about a party that had long been disenfranchised but lacked any national vehicle through which to express its despair. And with a Democrat Party controlled by a Hillary Clinton/Bernie Sanders/Martin O’Malley freak show, many Middle America Democrats and Independents feel the same way.
The tables have been turned. It is now the Washington Cartel that is completely helpless and hopeless in controlling its destiny. Their candidates are polling below Martin O’Malley’s numbers in the Democrat primary, even though they are flush with cash, consultants, and pollsters. All because they “won” the inside game, but lost the people – most likely, for good.
It’s very likely Donald Trump could still gradually flame out over time, but that won’t change the equation because it was never about Trump. Ted Cruz has quietly positioned himself to win the hearts and minds of the people, and for once, he is beating the establishment in their own money game. Ben Carson is polling well just on his outsiders appeal alone. It’s not that Trump is sucking out all of the oxygen in the room; it’s that the establishment has run out of any oxygen to survive in this environment, irrespective of who else is in the room. Every candidate could drop out tomorrow leaving Bush as the de facto nominee and he still will still lack support outside of a few zip codes.
They forgot the old adage, “you can fool all the people some of the time, and some of the people all the time, but you cannot fool all the people all the time.” (Re-posted with permission from the author, “The Establishment’s Lies Are Catching Up” originally appeared HERE)

That was the near-unanimous view of some of the nation’s wealthiest and most influential Republicans Saturday night as they gathered for a political briefing at billionaire Wilbur Ross’ Southampton estate with national GOP Chairman Reince Priebus.
Trump’s rise as the front-running GOP candidate for president was expected to dominate talk at the gathering of about 60 Republican bigwigs and high rollers, including builder/developer Earl Mack, Gristedes owner and biofuels magnate John Catsimatidis, the Tiger Fund’s Julian Robertson, former Mayor Rudy Giuliani and state GOP Chairman Ed Cox.
But it became clear early on that that wasn’t going to be the case because so many of those at the event see Trump as a fatally flawed candidate, much as they’ve seen him as a flawed and often off-putting businessman over the past three decades, a source who was present told The Post.
“These are people who know Trump well, people who have known Trump for years as part of the social and financial fabric of the city,” the source said. (Read more from “GOP Big Shots Aren’t Taking Donald Trump Seriously” HERE)
Former Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley thinks the Democratic Party’s decision to limit the number of primary debates is tantamount to rigging the nomination process.
“Four debates and only four debates — we are told, not asked — before voters in our earliest states make their decision,” the presidential candidate said at the Democratic National Committee (DNC) Summer Meeting on Friday.
“This sort of rigged process has never been attempted before,” he added. “One debate in Iowa. That’s it. One debate in New Hampshire. That’s all we can afford.”
After O’Malley’s speech wrapped up, observers noted palpable tension as he greeted DNC Chair, Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz. (Read more from “O’Malley Challenges DNC Over ‘Rigged’ Debate Schedule” HERE)
U.S. Defense Secretary Ash Carter awarded $75 million on Friday to help a consortium of high-tech firms and researchers develop electronic systems packed with sensors flexible enough to be worn by soldiers or molded onto the skin of a plane.
Carter said funding for the Obama administration’s newest manufacturing institute would go to the FlexTech Alliance, a consortium of 162 companies, universities and other groups, from Boeing , Apple and Harvard, to Advantest Akron Polymer Systems and Kalamazoo Valley Community College.
The group will work to advance the development and manufacture of so-called flexible hybrid electronics, which can be embedded with sensors and stretched, twisted and bent to fit aircraft or other platform where they will be used.
“This is an emerging technology that takes advanced flexible materials for circuits, communications, sensors and power and combines them with thinned silicon chips to ultimately produce the next generation of electronic products,” Carter said . . .
The consortium, which will be managed by the U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory, will add $90 million to the federal money. Local governments will chip in more, boosting the group’s total five-year funding level to $171 million. (Read more from “Pentagon Teams up With Apple, Boeing to Develop Wearable Tech” HERE)
