Japanese Confirm Beheading of Kenji Goto

Photo Credit: International Business Times By Priya Joshi. The Japanese government has confirmed that a video showing the beheading of hostage Kenji Goto appears to be genuine.

The one minute-long footage was released by Islamic State (IS) on Saturday (31 January).

The video titled ‘A Message to the Government of Japan’ shows Mr. Goto dressed in an orange jumpsuit, kneeling on the ground as the executor, believed to be Jihadi John, delivers a scripted speech in which he threatens to inflict more brutality on the citizens of Japan.

He says: “Abe, because of your reckless decision to take part in an unwinnable war, this knife will not only slaughter Kenji, but will also carry on and cause carnage wherever your people are found. So let the nightmare for Japan begin.”

As Japan Grieves Over Second Citizen Slain by ISIS, Jordan Still Holding Their Breath

By Bill Neely. As Japan reels from the apparent beheading of a second citizen by ISIS, another country half a world away is holding its breath.

With the purported beheading of journalist Kenji Goto — just days after ISIS murdered another Japanese citizen — Tokyo has been dragged squarely into a conflict it has long sought distance from. Goto’s image is everywhere and Japan’s bleary-eyed Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has vowed the country will “never, never forgive” the terrorists who took him.

But while the world’s attention focused on the fate of two Japanese hostages — and collectively expressed outrage over their murders — ISIS has threatened to kill another captive whose fate has much greater significance in the battle for control of large swathes of the Middle East.

Jordanian pilot Lt. Muath al Kasasbeh was on a bombing run over Syria in December when he was forced to eject and immediately captured by ISIS fighters. His continued captivity — and ISIS threats to murder him — are a national trauma for Jordan.

Kasasbeh’s case underscores how ISIS has Jordan in its crosshairs. The terror group loathes the moderate Muslim regime and its king, viewing Jordan as a treacherous country for its decades-long alliance with the United States. ISIS is at Jordan’s border and wants nothing more than to destabilize the country and ultimately make it part of its ‘caliphate.’ (Read more from this story HERE)

Duke and Duchess of Cambridge Reject Actor’s Plea to Support Homosexual Pardon Campaign

Benedict Cumberbatch’s plea for Prince William and Kate Middleton to support a gay-rights campaign has been rejected.

Cumberbatch played pioneering World War 2 codebreaker Alan Turing in The Imitation Game. Turing was prosecuted for being gay, but he was given a posthumous pardon in 2013.

The actor has signed an open letter calling for some 49,000 other men similarly convicted under the old law to have the same treatment as Turing. The petition has already been signed by almost 90,000 supporters.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge yesterday rejected Cumberbatch’s plea to support the campaign, with a spokesperson saying that it is a matter for government, so they could make no comment.

Insider Warns of Imminent Attack: ISIS Planning Something Much Bigger Than 9/11

By Justin Koski. A British medical student – who went looking for ISIS on a search for a friend’s twin daughters who left home to marry terrorists – lived with ISIS, earned their trust, and managed to escape to Turkey. He said that ISIS, or Daesh, is planning something bigger than 9/11.

“They want to be more better than al-Qaeda,” Ahmad Rashidi said to NBC’s Richard Engel on Meet the Press. “They want to do something more better than the World Trade Center.”

He added that the U.S. bombings are making Daesh “happy” because they elevate the group’s status to that of al-Qaeda. (Read more about what the ISIS planning HERE)

ISIS Launches Attack On Oil Rich Iraqi City

By Laura Smith-Spark. ISIS militants have attacked Kirkuk in northern Iraq, an effort that might be an earnest attempt to capture the key oil-rich city or perhaps to divert Kurdish troops fighting to capture the Islamist extremist group’s stronghold of Mosul.

For months, ISIS has been facing off with the Peshmerga — armed fighters who protect Iraqi Kurdistan — to the west of Kirkuk. It had gone into areas on Kirkuk’s outskirts, but not the central city.

Until now, apparently.

Heavily armed militants attacked an abandoned hotel in central Kirkuk that local police had used as their headquarters.

Peshmerga and Kurdish anti-terror units later raided the hotel, wresting control of it from the militants and killing three of them, according to Peshmerga sources. In addition, two suicide bombers detonated themselves in an attempt to keep the Kurdish forces out. (Read more from this story HERE)

Unbelievable: Obama Agrees to 80 Percent of Iran’s Nuclear Demands

Photo Credit: Jerusalem Post Israeli officials told Channel 10 on Friday that they are convinced the Obama administration has already agreed to most of Iran’s demands in the P5+1 negotiations over the Islamic Republic’s nuclear program.

According to unnamed officials, Washington “has given the Iranians 80 percent of what they want” out of the negotiations, Channel 10 is reporting.

Jerusalem officials appear alarmed at the prospect that the United States will soon strike a deal with the Iranian regime that will leave it with a “breakout capacity” of months during which it can gallop toward a nuclear bomb.

The practical significance of the American compromises in the talks is that Iran will be permitted to keep over 7,000 centrifuges, enough for the Iranians to produce enough enriched material to sprint toward the bomb within a matter of months.

These developments have apparently fueled Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s sense of urgency in traveling to Washington and addressing Congress in hopes of lobbying American lawmakers to pass tougher sanctions against the Islamic Republic. (Read more about the nuclear demands HERE)

Obama Now Delays Deportation Hearings for Illegals to 2019

Photo Credit: Breitbart By Tony Lee. Thousands of illegal immigrants will remain in the United States for at least five more years after the Justice Department moved their deportation hearings to 2019–at the earliest.

The Wall Street Journal reported that the Department of Justice “has begun sending out notices to thousands of immigrants awaiting hearings that their cases will be pushed back nearly five years,” and “began notifying employees in the immigration court system last week that nonpriority cases were being bumped off the court docket and would get a Nov. 29, 2019, court date, which happens to be Black Friday.”

The Journal notes that the 2019 date is “more of a bureaucratic placeholder than an actual plan to hear a flood of cases that day,” which means the hearings could be moved to an even later date in the future.

“Thousands” if not “tens of thousands” illegal immigrants who are “nonpriority cases” and are “living freely” in the United States will reportedly have their hearings delayed. (Read more from “Obama Delays Deportation Hearings” HERE)

County Sheriff: Anything Short Of Murder and Rape Won’t Get You Deported

By Ian Hanchett. Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke (D) said that “anything short of murder and rape” is considered a low-level offense for illegal immigrants and will likely not result in deportation on Friday’s “Laura Ingraham Show.”

“When you put that population [criminal aliens] on top of what we’re already dealing with with people who are legally in the United States and involved in crime, it just compounds our problems. One of the most difficult challenges in dealing with criminal aliens is who are they, every time they get arrested, they give you a different name and you look and each one of them comes with 10, 12, 15 aliases and so just identifying them becomes problematic, but once they’re involved in crime, and I know what the left likes to say that low-level offenders shouldn’t be deported. Well, they have dropped the standard to now where burglary and strong-armed robbery are considered low-level offenses, anything short of murder and rape, they say ‘OK, yeah, murder maybe we should deport them,’ I go ‘no, burglary, strong-armed robbery, drug trafficking, drunk driving…all of those things should be included’” he stated. Chris Kyle‘American Sniper’ is breaking countless box-office records. It had the 2nd highest grossing weekend for any R-rated movie, and is sparking debate across America. It’s hard to remember any movie which has been such a cultural phenomenon, and inflamed passions across the political spectrum.

Watch a message from Navy SEAL Chris Kyle, the famous sniper with 160 confirmed kills, as he gives a timely warning about President Barack Obama. He warns us about how deep Obama’s anti-2nd Amendment philosophy is. Isn’t that sad for a constitutional professor to be so opposed to gun rights?

“I don’t know exactly what he’s doing,” Kyle said then, referring to Obama’s efforts to enact gun control according to guns.com, “but I know he’s definitely against the Second Amendment, and he’s trying to ban everything” . . .

“You start putting these bans in effect — you know, these people who don’t know anything about the guns — and they start thinking, ‘Well, who needs 30-round magazines?’” he said. “Really? That’s just opening the door so you can start taking more of our rights.”

“It was there, it was started by our Founding Fathers, and they had the same weapons the military did,” he argued. “We don’t even have that today. But don’t try to take what I’ve already got.”

Father and Son Save Family After Men Threaten Them With Guns (+video)

Orlando police arrested two men Saturday night, thanks to a father and son who jumped in to save a woman and her family from their armed attackers outside of Monster Jam.

“My wife yelled at me, ‘He’s got a gun,'” said Gary Richie, who recalled making the split decision to step in when no one else could. “It deteriorated really quick when the guns came out.”

Police said two men in a pickup truck took out their guns after a mother confronted them for sideswiping her minivan. The confrontation happened as crowds left the Citrus Bowl after the Monster Jam.

“The driver of the pickup truck starting waving his arm out the window and it appeared he had a handgun. When the passenger got out, he had a shotgun. He pointed it at the van and started walking towards the van. And when he did that, that’s when I rushed him and pinned him against the truck,” said Richie, who was just feet away and watched the argument turned from heated, to violent. Face to Face With Boko Haram: A Christian Boy Tells His Story After Escape

Being a soldier meant immediate beheading. Christians usually were given a chance to convert before being killed. Not soldiers – Christian or Muslim.

They seemed to believe his denials that he was a soldier. When they asked him later if he had anyone they could call to ransom him, he said he had no one and had just come out of a 14-month hospitalization. The terrorists offered to help him when they learnt he lost his dad at age 2. He was crippled so he couldn’t be much help as a fighter…

Many months later, after the abduction of the Chibok girls [276 Nigerian schoolgirls kidnapped en masse], they said to him, “if you need anything, tell us – even if you want a wife, you can marry one of the girls we captured.” Henry is one of only a couple of people I know who has inside perspective about the girls’ abduction apart from the girls themselves. . .

On another day, Henry buried his head and wept silently as the terrorists described how they had completely destroyed a town – his hometown. It was a completely Christian hilltop enclave that had survived numerous attacks. He wondered what had happened to his aged mum. He must not let the terrorists know it was his hometown lest they finish him off, too.

Woman’s Story of Captivity in ISIS

This week I visited an encampment north of Mosul, Iraq, where a cleric introduced me to Najat Owdi Rashul, an Iraqi Yazidi woman whose family was released last week after six months of Islamic State detention. She described the conditions for her fellow Yazidi women who were held in a make-shift prison at a banquet hall in Mosul.

Of all the horrors of daily life in the custody of the jihadists, Najat recalled, the worst came in the early evenings. That’s when a commander would call out the names of a few captive women and girls, saying the list was approved by special order of the governor of Mosul, or the caliph himself.

“They would scream when their name was called,” she said. “Sometimes they would begin to pull their hair out and beat their face” to make themselves appear uglier. She said they knew they would be taken away, and would never be seen again . . .

Najat said she was not abused. But she told me that she was terrified that her name would be called. While her account obviously cannot be verified, it comports with these other survivors’ stories and reports from the press and human-rights groups.

The experience for her family and their entire village was searing. The family’s patriarch, a stout Yazidi named Murad Khallaf Ali, said that he was lucky because he was too old to be pressed into service. But many of the younger, more able men were forced to tend the sheep the Islamic State troops had stolen from Yazidi villages, or to place homemade bombs on the sides of roads. Female Hunter Receiving Death Threats Over Teaching Children to Hunt

Jen Cordaro, who’s known as “Jen the Archer,” has received death threats after someone found her Facebook. The page features her program, “Bring a Kid,” and includes pictures of Cardaro teaching kids how to hunt and dress animals.

An anonymous, self-described vegan dumped a bag of rotten vegetables on her porch, after animal activists posted her address on social media. Now, those same activists are calling for an end to all hunting in California.

A worldwide Change.org petition entitled “STOP teaching children to become animal murderers!” has received 2,100 signatures so far . . .

The former vegetarian says she’s a ‘loco-vore’ –hunting and gathering locally– and eats what she hunts. She says she wants to teach kids outdoor ethics, where food comes from and respect for nature. (Read more about the female hunter HERE)

The Horrors of Abortion in America: “No Way What They Are Doing is Humane”

Photo Credit: Life News By Kristi Burton Brown. North Carolina has assigned investigators to the Hallmark Women’s Center in Fayetteville, the place where abortionist Malana Moshesh works. Moshesh has been reported for a horrific abortion she performed in the fall of 2014.

Every abortion is a horrific experience for the unborn child involved, but some are particularly physically horrific for the mothers as well. Cheryl Sullenger took a phone call from the woman whom Moshesh performed the reported abortion on:

The abortion was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had in my life. … I would not send an animal to die there. And what they’re doing – it’s just not humane. There’s no way possible that what they’re doing is humane . . .

The woman told Sullenger that, by the time abortionist Moshesh made it into her room to perform the abortion, the laughing gas she had been given had worn off entirely. The woman had been left alone, to make sure her gas intake was adequate.

Not only was the woman’s pain unbearable and torturous, but she also was forced to view the ultrasound image and the bloody remains of her baby after the abortion. Though she had stated that she did not want to see her baby’s ultrasound, the screen was left turned toward her when the abortion was complete, with her baby’s photo in her full view. Woman Tells of Seeing Abortion First-Hand

By Carole Novielli. We knew the abortion clinics could be throwing the aborted babies in the trash. So, how would we know which clinics were disposing the babies illegally? There was no way to know- we’d have to go to various ones and pull the trash to see.

That was a daunting task. But finally, our work paid off.

It was a Saturday afternoon when we approached a clinic located in a strip mall. The abortionist shared the dumpster with other business owners and we received permission to remove some discarded wood from the trash. Our real goal though, was the clinic’s trash- BINGO!

We grabbed several bags over a period of time, until one day, we discovered that inside the bags were the containers that held babies aborted by suction abortion.

Then came the task of opening up each and every gauze sac. I stilled myself to open each one, knowing what I might see – not knowing how I’d react to it. (Read more from this story HERE)
