Watch How Jackson Police React When a Man Starts Dismantling a Pro-Life Display

Screen-Shot-2014-07-21-at-6.29.05-PM-620x340A video posted online late last week appears to show police in Jackson, Mississippi stand by as a protester steals multiple signs from a graphic pro-life display.

The footage, uploaded to YouTube by the organization behind the presentation, shows multiple officers appear to ignore complaints from the group as a man takes down their signs. The signs appeared to depict very graphic images showing the aftermath of abortion.

“We got a guy taking our signs and walking with them right now,” an individual can be seen telling officers in the video.

The officer does not appear to respond.

As evidenced by a subsequently deleted Twitter post by an official EPA account, at least some employees are more interested in playing social media games – specifically one endorsed by ubiquitous reality star Kim Kardashian – than in regulating the lives of American citizens.

For opponents of the agency’s intrusive policies, such frivolous misuse of time might be more favorable than the pursuit of even more EPA restrictions.

Mystery: US Flags Over Brooklyn Bridge Bleached White, Cops Don't Know Who Did It

The mystery surrounding two white flags that appeared on top of the Brooklyn Bridge today deepened as the New York City Police Department admitted they don’t know who committed the security breach or how they accomplished it.

White flags, which are symbols of surrender, flew from poles on the stone supports atop the famed bridge that connects Brooklyn and Manhattan over the East River.

“I’m not particularly happy about the event,” said NYPD Commissioner Bill Bratton.

Police officials said this afternoon that they have surveillance video of a group of four or five individuals walking onto the bridge shortly after 3 a.m.

“Those people will be of particular interest in this investigation,” said NYPD Deputy Commissioner John Miller, who also oversees intelligence and counter terrorism.

Senator Ted Cruz spoke to over 3,500 people in Denver this weekend and proposed a two-birds-with-one-stone solution to tax reform and border security.

“The simplest road to tax reform is to abolish the IRS and move to simple flat tax (sic),” said Cruz.

As for what to do with 110,000 out of work IRS agents, Cruz said “we can always put them on our southern border. Seeing so many IRS agents would scare off anyone who wanted to come to America,” he told the crowd.

Ted Cruz’s father sparks revival spirit during tea party rally

The father of conservative firebrand U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz roused a crowd of tea party supporters with stories of his journey to the United States and his call for constitutional conservatism.

Rafael Cruz, pastor of Purifying Fire Ministries in suburban Dallas, received multiple standing ovations throughout his speech, delivered at a We the People rally organized by the Nashville Tea Party at the Millennium Maxwell House Hotel on Saturday afternoon.

The Cuban native spent much of his lecture analyzing the merits of Declaration of Independence and accusing the federal government of straying from it. He also said how his beliefs are inspired by the same wellsprings as his son, the Texas senator who has enthused some conservatives enough to call on him to run for president.

“That passion has been like fire in him, and let me tell you, that fire has been as alive 32 years ago as it is today,” Cruz said. “That’s why I know he’s not going to compromise in Washington.”

This Small Town Just Took A Big Stand Against Obama

Barack Obama recently hit a roadblock in his ongoing campaign to attend fundraisers across the nation. Upon announcing his intention to hobnob with supporters in Medina, Wash. earlier this week, city leaders explained that they will not force local taxpayers to pay for the associated expenses of his visit.

“We love welcoming people to what we think is one of the most attractive communities in Puget Sound,” said City Manager Mike Sauerwein.

While visitors might be welcome, however, he insisted that it should be at their own expense.

“We just don’t feel that we should be passing the cost of the events to our citizens,” he said.

Saurwien explained that, with previous presidential visits, taxpayers have had to pony up tens of thousands of dollars to pay for added police coverage and other incidental expenses. He urged the city council to pass that expense on to Obama’s host, former Costco CEO Jim Sinegal, for this event.

With her life’s dream of being a small family farmer in Virginia, Martha Boneta obtained 64 acres in Fauquier County, Va in 2006 to raise vegetables, herbs, raw honey, eggs, and host small animals. Little did she know that a birthday party with eight ten-year old girls would trigger zealous county regulators who saw the party as an event needing special exception permits and required a hearing that would impose fees.

Thinking she had all the right commercial permits and licenses, Boneta was still threatened with $5,000 per day fines despite Virginia being a right to farm state, where local governments are considered unable to use zoning laws to bring nuisance suits for customary farm operations.

Wherever we look today—from the Fertile Crescent in the Middle East to the post-Cold War frontier in Ukraine to the South China Sea to our border with Mexico— our world appears to be falling apart.

This naturally raises a serious question in the minds of many people: If America, the indispensable nation, had been doing its job of holding the global system together, couldn’t this chaos and anarchy have been avoided?

The simple answer is, yes.

But if you listen to Hillary Clinton, the unraveling of the international order was inevitable under the leadership—or lack of leadership—of Barack Obama. As I reported in my book “Blood Feud,” Hillary places the blame for the sorry state of the world squarely on the man in the Oval Office.
