Southwest Airlines Plane Plummets In Mid-Air

Photo Credit: andynash/flickrThe pilot of a Southwest Airlines flight headed to Raleigh/Durham International Airport (“RDU”) went on the loudspeaker and told passengers their plane was going down, according to a woman on board the flight.

“He said, we’re going down. And everyone is looking around like, is this a joke? Is he serious? And then you felt the nosedive,” passenger Shelley Wills said.

Wills told ABC11 the Tuesday night flight from Tampa took a nosedive thousands of feet in the air while they were about 100 miles away from RDU.

Wills is a nurse and tried helping the first-time flier seated next to her who was clutching her chest.

“I’m thinking oh my God, she’s going to scare herself into a heart attack,” Wills said.

Joe Miller Dismisses Begich Healthcare Move as ‘Political Theater’

Fairbanks, Alaska. November 13, 2013 — This week Mark Begich announced that he has opted to sign up for Obamacare using Alaska’s federal exchange, purportedly to forgo the subsidy offered by the Obama administration that exempted Congress from the effects of the new healthcare law. He said he wants to “have the exact same experience and go through the same steps as other Alaskans.”

Joe Miller wasn’t impressed.

“It’s all political theater,” said Miller. “Where was Mark a few weeks ago when an amendment was offered by Senator Vitter to remove the Congressional subsidy altogether? I don’t recall him jumping on the bandwagon.”

Miller added, “Having said that, the fact that Mark Begich ‘feels our pain’ is of little comfort to thousands of Alaskans who have lost their health plans, or the thousands more who will be paying significantly higher premiums due to Obamacare.”

Senator Begich was the 60th and deciding vote on Obamacare in 2010, and even refused to strike down one of the law’s most egregious regulations. In a straight party line vote, he supported the so-called “grandfather rule,” which negated his and President Obama’s promise that “if you like your healthcare plan, you can keep your healthcare plan.” So much for putting Alaskans first.

Alaskans know that he is responsible for the difficulties we are facing, and he’s not going to get extra credit for working to save us from the consequences of his own actions.

“Mark Begich has chosen to spend his years in the United States Senate carrying the water for Barack Obama and Harry Reid,” Miller said. “Unfortunately, his constituents have to pay the price. But if Mr. Begich is so keen on having the ‘exact same experience’ as the rest of us, perhaps we can send him to the unemployment line with the Alaskans who won’t have a job due to the economic fallout from Obamacare.”

Miller concluded, “Part of leadership is having the foresight to stop the train before it wrecks, and on that count our junior senator has miserably failed.”

Joe Miller is a husband, father, war veteran, businessman, and Constitutional conservative who believes in limited government, the Right to life, individual liberty, private property, and free markets.

Fifty-Three Alaskans Sign Up for ObamaCare During First Month

Photo Credit: WND Alaska is one of 36 states that has relied on the federally run site to provide access to the marketplace, where individuals can browse for insurance to help meet requirements of the federal health care law. The site has been marred by glitches since its launch Oct. 1, and in the first month, less than 27,000 people in those states had selected plans, figures released by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services showed. Another 79,000 individuals had signed up in states running their own exchanges.

“There is no doubt the level of interest is strong,” Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius said in a release. She said enrollment is expected to grow “substantially” over the coming months. The open enrollment period ends March 31. That is also the cutoff date to enroll without risk of a penalty.

The federal health care law requires virtually all Americans to have insurance beginning next year. There are exemptions for financial hardships and religious objections, but those who ignore the mandate will face fines.

U.S. Rep. Don Young, R-Alaska, said the figures released Wednesday show the health care law “is a sinking ship with too many holes to fill.”

Ted Cruz: Clintons Fleeing Obamacare (+video)

Photo Credit: APSen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) said on Wednesday that “nobody can defend” the Affordable Care Act following its troubled roll out, suggesting that recent comments by Bill Clinton should serve as a smoke signal to Democrats.

“Three and a half years ago it might have been possible for reasonable minds to differ,” he said on Fox News on Wednesday regarding the ACA. “Today, nobody is saying that. Nobody can defend it because millions of people are losing their jobs or are at part-time work.”

Cruz emphasized that millions of Americans have had their health insurance plans changed or cancelled in recent months, which has resulted in widespread criticism of President Barack Obama.

Fox News Poll: 65 Percent Want Congress to Keep Investigating Benghazi Attack

Photo Credit: REUTERSAs the House Select Committee on Intelligence meets with witnesses to the Benghazi attack, Americans by a two-to-one margin want Congress to continue to investigate the Obama administration’s handling of the terrorist attack that killed four Americans including a U.S. ambassador.

A just-released Fox News poll finds 65 percent of voters want lawmakers to keep investigating what happened in Benghazi. While that’s still a majority, support is down from 71 percent who felt that way six months ago (June 22-24, 2013).

About one third oppose Congress continuing to investigate the attack (31 percent).

The 2012 attack took place at the U.S. consulate in Benghazi on the anniversary of September 11.

Witnesses to the attack are expected to meet behind closed doors this week with members of the House Select Committee on Intelligence.

Architect of ObamaCare Blames Fox News for Website’s Failure (+video)

Photo Credit: Fox News Tonight on The Kelly File, Megyn Kelly took on the architect of ObamaCare for the second time. Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel called the ObamaCare numbers released today “disappointing,” but said it’s not surprising given the website’s problems.

“That’s not right, Megyn, you’ve got the numbers wrong,” Emanuel said right off the bat, challenging the fact that almost five million Americans have had their insurance plans canceled.

After a heated back-and-forth, Kelly asked Emanuel if he believes the cancelations are unrelated to the ObamaCare rollout. He maintained that insurance companies cancel plans “all the time.”

Kelly pressed Emanuel repeatedly on whether he predicted insurance companies would cancel individual plans, forcing people into the exchanges. “Whether you could anticipate what business would do is irrelevant,” he answered.

Obama Building ‘Compliant Officer Class’ According to U.S. Army Intel Officer

Photo Credit: WNDThe extraordinarily large number of senior military officials being relieved of duty under the Obama administration – nine generals and flag officers this year alone and close to 200 senior officers over the last five years – is part of the creation of a “compliant officer class,” according to a U.S. Army intelligence official.

In WND’s ongoing coverage of what some top generals are openly calling a “purge” of senior military officers who run afoul of Obama or his agenda, some military personnel have been speaking out.

According to a veteran Army intelligence official who spoke to WND on condition of anonymity, there is within the armed forces a major concern that a “compliant officer class” is being created by the Obama administration. So much so, he said, that it’s becoming harder to find “senior officers with a pair of balls in there [the military] now that would say no to anything.”

“Maybe at the rank of major or below, and possibly there are some in SOF (Special Operations Forces), but to make colonel and higher is all politics,” he said.

Underscoring the point, the official said almost no public concern was expressed by officers to the recent repeal of the “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy or the decision to allow women into front-line combat.

Kerry Warns Fresh Iran Sanctions Could Scuttle Nuclear Talks

Photo Credit: Getty Images Secretary of State John Kerry has told US lawmakers any new sanctions against Iran would risk ruining talks over Tehran’s nuclear programme.

He told a Senate banking committee that the US might lose negotiating partners if it imposed economic penalties.

The panel has been considering a fresh package but legislators are divided on the measure.

Mr Kerry has told the BBC that Iran and world powers had come “extremely close” to a deal at the weekend.

Before Wednesday’s closed-door meeting with senators, Washington’s top diplomat told reporters: “What we’re asking everybody to do is calm down, look hard at what can be achieved and what the realities are.”

It’s the Democrats, Not the GOP, Facing a Looming Civil War

Photo Credit: Pablo Martinez MonsivaisDespite what the hysterical media will tell you, those distant blasts you heard last week rolling from New York City to Richmond were not cannon fire from the ongoing civil war within the Republican Party. They were the first shots fired in the civil war that is about to break wide open within the Democratic Party.

The hyperventilating media have gone from simply jaundiced sideline observers to outright cheerleaders, breathlessly fanning the flames of discord within the GOP at every turn. Who knew The New York Times cares so much about Republican politicians from Texas and Utah? Of course, they don’t. Unless those conservative Texans and Utahans are in a knife fight with establishment Republicans in Washington.

Last Tuesday’s Democratic routs in Virginia and in New York City, the media squealed with delight, was final proof that the Republican Party is finished. Not only in sophisticated places like New York City, but also important battleground states like Virginia.

Now it is certainly true that Republicans have suffered some humiliating defeats of late. Chief among them has been their inability in three elections to win the argument against Obamacare. Now that Americans have met Obamacare, we realize just how pathetic Republicans had to have been to lose that fight.

All of that pain caused in recent years by the tea party and the conservative purists throwing overboard so many of the whorish politicians in their own midst who came to Washington only to be corrupted will pay off down the road. The growing new voices in the Republican Party sound more and more reasonable and principled by the day, especially with the hot disaster that has become of centralized socialist medicine.

GOP Rep. Confirms Articles of Impeachment will be Filed Against Eric Holder (+video)

Photo Credit: AP By Jason Howerton

A group of fed-up House Republicans who say they are tired of being stonewalled by Attorney General Eric Holder plan to formally introduce articles of impeachment on Thursday in a bid to remove the nation’s top law enforcement officer from office.

Several GOP congressmen have been drafting articles of impeachment over a number of controversies relating to the U.S. Department of Justice. The lawmakers’ grievances include Holder’s refusal to turn over documents relating to Operation Fast and Furious, the DOJ’s habit of selectively enforcing federal laws, and the department’s refusal to prosecute IRS officials who accessed confidential taxpayer information, among other things.

The articles of impeachment also accuse Holder of providing false testimony to Congress, which is a “clear violation” of the law.

Rep. Pete Olson (R-Texas) told CQ Roll Call that he plans to formally introduce the charges on Thursday. Further, Rep. Ted Yoho (R-Fla.) confirmed the impeachment effort to TheBlaze TV in an interview set to air on Wednesday night. You can watch Yoho’s appearance on tonight’s episode of “Wilkow!” here.

Photo Credit: TPNN Citing Multiple Scandals Rep. Calls for Impeachment of Eric Holder

By Greg Campbell

On Wednesday, Florida Congressman Ted Yoho spoke candidly with TPNN’s The Voice of Reason, Tim Constantine. As President Obama, seemingly, walks between the rain drops without having to deal with the consequences of the numerous scandals that are piling up on his doorstep, Rep. Yoho noted that Attorney General Eric Holder, the Justice Department’s chief law enforcer, has been held in contempt of Congress and should be impeached.

Speaking of a mounting movement in Congress amongst conservatives to consider impeachment of Holder, Rep. Yoho explained,

“Whether it was Fast and Furious or some of these other [scandals], not enforcing the laws on the books and not upholding his constitutional duties and violating the law on numerous occasions- these things have been mounting up… When we got back from this last break we just said, ‘We’re going to go ahead with this. There’s just too many things that they’ve done in this administration, especially with the Attorney General, that anybody else in America, had they done what he had done, would go to jail. And so, the American people want accountability in their government and this is the time to start it.
