WATCH: Democrats Chant ‘Lock Him Up!’ After Kamala Harris Attacks Trump as ‘Predator’

Democrats at a rally in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on Tuesday to welcome Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D) as Vice President Kamala Harris’s running mate chanted “Lock him up!” after she attacked former President Donald Trump.

Karris repeated a portion of the speech she delivered to Democratic campaign headquarters last month.

On that occasion, she said:

As many of you know, before I was elected as Vice President, before I was elected as United States Senator, I was the elected Attorney General as I’ve mentioned to California, and before that I was a courtroom prosecutor. In those roles, I took on perpetrators of all kinds. Predators who abused women, fraudsters who ripped off consumers, cheaters who broke the rules for their own gain. So hear me when I say I know Donald Trump’s type, and in this campaign I will proudly, I will proudly put my record against his

HARRIS: Now, many of you know, before I was elected Vice President or elected a United States Senator, I was an elected attorney general, and before that, elected district attorney. [Applause] And before that, I was a courtroom prosecutor. [Applause] So in those roles, I took on perpetrators of all kinds. [Applause] Predators who abused women. [Boos] Fraudsters who scammed consumers. [Boos] Cheaters who broke the rules for their own gain. [Boos] So hear me when I say — [applause] — I know Donald Trump’s type.

The Vatican Finally Responds to Olympics “Last Supper” Controversy; Is the Olympics Closing Ceremony Going to Mock Christianity?

By Deadline. In a rare weekend release, the Vatican responded Saturday to the controversial drag performance that depicted Leonardo da Vinci’s “Last Supper” painting during the 2024 Paris Olympics’ opening ceremony last week. . .

The Vatican Saturday said that the performance showed a lack of “respect for others.”

“The Holy See was saddened by certain scenes at the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympic Games and cannot but join the voices raised in recent days to deplore the offense done to many Christians and believers of other religions,” it said in a weekend press release.

“At a prestigious event where the whole world comes together to share common values, there should be no allusions ridiculing the religious convictions of many people. The freedom of expression, which is clearly not called into question here, is limited by respect for others,” the Vatican said. SCOTUS Blocks Challenge to Trump’s Hush Money Sentencing, Gag Order Until After Election

The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday rejected an effort to halt former and potentially future President Donald Trump’s sentencing in the hush money case, as well as lift the gag order imposed on him until after the November election. As CBS News reported, the effort, described as “a longshot bid” came from Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey.

According to the CBS News report:

The high court denied Missouri’s request to bring its case against New York, and dismissed a separate motion to pause Trump’s sentencing in an unsigned order. There were no noted dissents. Justices Clarence and Samuel Alito said they would have granted the state’s request to file a bill of complaint, but would not have granted the other relief Missouri sought.

[Trump] has vowed to appeal the conviction, and his sentencing, while initially set for July 11, was delayed to Sept. 18. The New York judge overseeing the case, Justice Juan Merchan, lifted part of the gag order in June, but Trump is still restricted from talking about prosecutors, court staff and their families.

Merchan is also set to decide by Sept. 6 whether to set aside Trump’s guilty verdict based on the Supreme Court’s ruling that he is entitled to immunity from federal prosecution for official acts taken while in the White House. Trump’s lawyers have argued that under the court’s decision, prosecutors shouldn’t have been allowed to offer evidence at trial of the former president’s official acts. Manhattan prosecutors disagree with their assertions.

World on Fire: American Airbase in Iraq Attacked by Rockets, Several Injured

President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris finally posted hours after news of the attack first came in that they had been briefed. Biden tagged Harris in his post, and she tagged Biden in hers.

Tensions are indeed increasing in the Middle East, after Iran vowed to retaliate against Israel for taking out Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh last week. “Two Katyusha rockets on Monday were fired at Iraq’s Ain al-Asad air base which hosts U.S. and other international forces in western Iraq,” according to a report from Reuters. The report cited “security sources.”

“Several U.S. personnel were injured in an attack against a military base in Iraq on Monday,” a subsequent report also revealed. The sources “said they were citing initial information which could change.” (Read more from “World on Fire: American Airbase in Iraq Attacked by Rockets, Several Injured” HERE)

Accidental Rise of Kamala Harris is a Symptom of an Unserious Age

Help me out here. Kamala Harris is the Democratic Party’s presidential candidate? How on Earth did that happen?

And what about the other guy? You know, the sitting president — Joe Biden? I realize he withdrew from the race in the constitutionally mandated manner, by posting a sullen document on X, the digital platform formerly known as Twitter. That was well done. Biden managed to make Elon Musk happy after all these years.

But why did Joe go? He never said. Actually, he made it clear that he thought his magnificent record in office “merited a second term.” If that was true, why not put it to the test, allowing those randos we call “the voters” to decide? . . .

I’m an analyst. I don’t prophesy the future, but I’m supposed to know why the president of the United States suddenly wakes up one morning and decides to give up his candidacy. So I’m going to run with a conspiracy theory, because why not?

I believe Biden — and his human walker, Dr. Jill, and that Kissingerian strategist, Hunter — all believed he deserved a second term, but were pushed aside by the two kingmakers who secretly run the Democratic Party: George Clooney and The New York Times. Kamala Campaign Mimics Joe’s, Hiding Behind a Teleprompter

Kamala Harris isn’t in the cellar of the Naval Observatory campaigning via Zoom calls à la Joe Biden in 2020.

No, she’s speaking to adoring crowds fired up by pop stars. She’s identifying herself with powerful (if somewhat esoteric) cultural trends. She’s clapping back against Donald Trump with panache. . .

Kamala’s teleprompter campaign in 2024 is meant to limit her exposure to keep her from inadvertently bursting the media bubble that’s been created around her.

In that, her campaign may resemble the pre-debate Biden approach this year more than his limited stumping in 2020.

Biden’s campaign this year obviously feared putting him out in any setting where he’d be challenged, and when his abysmal debate performance forced them to do so anyway (to prove he’d just had “a bad night”), the additional exposure resulted in predictable disaster. Google Hit Hard as Judge Finds Violation of U.S. Antitrust Laws

On Monday, Google faced a significant legal setback as U.S. District Judge Amit P. Mehta ruled that the tech giant violated U.S. antitrust laws through its search business. This ruling marks a notable moment in the ongoing scrutiny of Big Tech companies, highlighting the clash between corporate power and regulatory oversight.

Judge Mehta’s decision is rooted in the assertion that Google has behaved as a “monopolist,” leveraging its dominant position in the search engine market to suppress competition. Specifically, Mehta condemned Google for using exclusive contracts to ensure its search engine was the default option for major browsers like Apple’s Safari and Mozilla’s Firefox. “After having carefully considered and weighed the witness testimony and evidence, the court reaches the following conclusion: Google is a monopolist, and it has acted as one to maintain its monopoly,” Mehta stated, emphasizing that Google’s practices violated Section 2 of the Sherman Act.

The ruling follows a high-profile lawsuit filed last January by the Department of Justice (DOJ) and several state attorneys general. They accused Google of monopolizing various digital advertising technologies, thereby violating both Sections 1 and 2 of the Sherman Act. Attorney General Merrick B. Garland underscored the gravity of the allegations, asserting that Google’s actions aimed to “eliminate or severely diminish any threat to its dominance over digital advertising technologies.”

Financially, Google has reportedly invested billions to secure its dominant position. Notably, it paid Apple approximately $18 billion in 2021 alone to remain the default search engine on Safari. Critics argue that such expenditures are a clear attempt to stifle competition and entrench its market position. During the trial, Google’s CEO Sundar Pichai defended the company, asserting that Google’s dominance was a result of providing superior services to consumers. In contrast, Microsoft’s CEO Satya Nadella criticized Google’s practices, describing them as creating an “oligopolistic” relationship with Apple.

The DOJ’s complaint also accused Google of maintaining a protected monopoly over its advertising space within its search engine. Allegations included raising ad prices beyond what is deemed reasonable in a free market, which supposedly reflects Google’s excessive market power. The claim highlights a broader concern that Google’s market practices may be undermining fair competition and inflating costs for advertisers and consumers alike.

This ruling is significant as it represents the first major antitrust case involving a tech company in over two decades. The outcome could set a precedent that influences other legal challenges facing tech giants such as Apple, Amazon, and Meta. While Judge Mehta has yet to determine the specific consequences for Google, the potential ramifications could be profound, impacting not just Google’s operations but also shaping the regulatory landscape for the tech industry at large. Report: Secret Service Allegedly Planned to Destroy White House Cocaine, Agency Denies Claims

The Secret Service addressed the controversy surrounding the disposal of cocaine discovered at the White House in 2023.

The statement came in response to a RealClearPolitics report detailing alleged internal disputes over the handling of the narcotics found just days after a Biden family gathering. Secret Service spokesman Anthony Guglielmi clarified that the cocaine was disposed of in line with existing retention policies, though he did not specify which policies.

“This is false,” Guglielmi said in a statement. “The US Secret Service takes its investigative and protective responsibilities very seriously. There are retention policies for criminal investigations, and the Secret Service adhered to those requirements during this case.” (Read more from “Report: Secret Service Allegedly Planned to Destroy White House Cocaine, Agency Denies Claims” HERE)

Remote Mind Control Achieved by Scientists in Shocking Experiment

Mind control sounds like something out of science-fiction or maybe some sort of supernatural power, but it’s becoming a potential reality. Scientists at the Institute for Basic Science in South Korea are working on a potentially revolutionary way to remotely control the minds of lab mice. That’s a long way away from controlling a human’s mind, but it’s also a significant step beyond prior experiments in controlling how lab mice act.

Prior efforts at influencing the minds of lab mice involved implanting electrodes and sending electrical signals to different parts of the brain. The remotely controlled mind-control technology researchers are developing does away with wires to directly tap into the neural pathways of lab mice. That’s good because wires are very invasive, limit potential movement in the subject, and could lead to medical complications.

The remote mind-control system under development uses a Magnetogenetic Interface for NeuroDynamics. The researchers just call it “Nano-MIND.” The full name is very descriptive and suggests the use of a magneto and genetic interface to stimulate the neural pathways within a lab mouse’s brain. The intent is to enable researchers to study how they might remotely activate the brain’s neural circuits and affect how the subject mouse acts.

Instead of using wired electrical signals the stimulate the mouse’s brain, the experimental Nano-MIND enables remote stimulation with the help of magnetic fields. The Nano-MIND system is under development to make it possible for scientists to create artificial neural networks and better understand how the brain works. It also might help researchers to develop new ways to treat neurological disorders. . .

The Nano-MIND system integrates ion channels into targeted cells within specific areas of a test subject’s brain. The magnetic fields activate the ion channels within the subject’s brain cells to change its behavior in a type of mind control. Scientists can use a very small actuator to use magnetism to activate the ion channels that are placed within particular neural circuits within the test subject’s brain. Trump Warns of ‘Great Depression of 2024’ After ‘Kamala Crash’

Former President Donald Trump ripped Vice President Kamala Harris for the sharp drop in stock market indexes in the United States on Monday, declaring that the markets will not “accept” Harris and calling her a “Radical Left Lunatic.”

Trump took to Truth Social to blast Harris for the “Kamala Crash” in a series of posts. . .

Major stock indexes like the Dow Jones Industrial Average, S&P 500, and the Nasdaq Composite took sharp hits Monday morning, Breitbart News’s economics editor John Carney reported:

The decline highlights the level of worry among investors since economic data released last week showed unemployment rising and job growth slowing more than expected. Surveys of manufacturers also indicated a steep fall off in activity in the sector, which is often a bellwether for the economy.

The economy added just 114,000 jobs in July, according to the Department of Labor, significantly below the 180,000 forecast. Seperate surveys of business executives known as purchasing managers by the Institute for Supply Management and S&P Global both showed that factory activity had contracted in the month.
