Supreme Court Allows West Point to Factor Race in Admissions Amid Ongoing Lawsuit

The Supreme Court has granted permission for West Point to continue factoring race into its admissions process, allowing the military academy to maintain its current policies while facing an ongoing lawsuit. The decision was delivered as part of an emergency appeal seeking changes to West Point’s admissions process, and it comes at a crucial time as the academy is in the process of selecting candidates for its next entering class, the Class of 2028.

The recent order, issued without any noted dissents, emphasized that it should not be interpreted as expressing a view on the merits of the constitutional question surrounding race-conscious admissions. The Supreme Court’s conservative majority had previously ruled in June that such admissions plans violate the U.S. Constitution, focusing on cases from Harvard University and the University of North Carolina. However, the court explicitly excluded West Point and other service academies from its decision.

The lawsuit against West Point was initiated by Students for Fair Admissions, the same group behind cases against Harvard and North Carolina. The organization contends that West Point’s admissions process, which takes race into account, is illegal. While lower courts had declined to halt the admissions policies at West Point and the U.S. Naval Academy during the ongoing lawsuits, only the West Point ruling has been appealed to the Supreme Court.

“Every day that passes between now and then is one where West Point, employing an illegal race-based admissions process, can end another applicant’s dream of joining the Long Gray Line,” argued lawyers for Students for Fair Admissions in a court filing.

The Biden administration, represented by Solicitor General Elizabeth Prelogar, emphasized in its brief that a “diverse” Army officer corps has long been considered a national-security imperative.

“For more than forty years, our Nation’s military leaders have determined that a diverse Army officer corps is a national-security imperative and that achieving that diversity requires limited consideration of race in selecting those who join the Army as cadets at the United States Military Academy at West Point.” Prelogar stated.

Unsurprisingly, the Biden administration supports the illegal consideration of race in selecting cadets at West Point to achieve this diversity.

Swing-State Law May Enable Non-Citizens to Vote in 2024 Presidential Election, Experts Warn

One of the most important states in the 2024 presidential election has a loophole in its election procedures that could allow non-citizens to cast federal election ballots, experts told the Daily Caller.

Democratic Arizona Secretary of State Adrian Fontes crafted the state’s Election Procedures Manual (EPM) to permit individuals whose citizenship cannot be verified to register as a “federal-only” voter and cast ballots in upcoming elections.

“An otherwise eligible registrant who does not submit DPOC (proof of citizenship) and whose U.S. citizenship cannot be verified via AZMVD records or other record in the statewide voter registration database is registered as a ‘federal-only’ voter. A ‘federal-only’ voter is eligible to vote solely in races for federal office in Arizona (including the Presidential Preference Election (PPE)),” the EPM says on page three of its first chapter.

Hans von Spakovsky, a senior legal fellow at the conservative Heritage Foundation, told the Daily Caller he believes Arizona’s two-tiered voter registration system could enable illegal migrants to vote in the upcoming elections.

“I think it’s absolutely a possibility because if you aren’t requiring proof of citizenship, you’re simply going on people’s word that oh yeah I’m a U.S. citizen, you’re going to get aliens who register and who vote,” von Spakovsky told the Caller. Joe Biden Is Reportedly Running White House Based On His Favorite Cable News Show

President Joe Biden’s obsession with his favorite MSNBC show influences how he runs things around the White House, Axios reported.

Biden frequently tunes into MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” hosted by the married couple Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski, and even uses the show’s frequent guests as consultants, according to Axios. Throughout the day, Biden will ask his staff if they saw different segments and bits that aired on the four-hour show — so much so that some aides have begun to tune into the show to anticipate their boss’s questions, the outlet reported.

The president previously brought experienced reporter Mike Barnicle, former diplomat Richard Haass and historian Jon Meacham, who are regulars on the program, to reportedly consult with him, according to Axios. Meacham has aided the President with multiple speeches, the outlet reported. Other regulars on the show have reportedly been invited to off-the-record discussions with policy experts.

A number of Biden’s top officials believe the show gives the president more of a balanced review than other programs, a White House aide told Axios.

Though Biden’s favorite, the show can be critical of the president. In January, Scarborough appeared stumped that Biden had not fired Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin for keeping his hospitalization from the president. State Bars Transgender Claims in Driver’s Licenses

The state of Florida will no longer allow people to put false information about their sex on their driver’s licenses.

Florida will prohibit people who identify as transgender from changing the sex on their state driver’s license, according to a report by NBC News.

Robert Kynoch, deputy executive director of the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles, reportedly told the department’s executive director on Friday that the department will repeal a clause in the Driver License Operations Manual that allowed people to list a false sex on their licenses.

Kynoch explained that the department doesn’t have the authority to enforce a provision that allows an individual to change their sex on their driver’s license.

He added that the term “gender” in the clause “does not refer to a person’s internal sense of his or her gender role or identification, but has historically and commonly been understood as a synonym for ‘sex,’ which is determined by innate and immutable biological and genetic characteristics.” (Read more from “State Bars Transgender Claims in Driver’s Licenses” HERE)

Fani Willis Admits Relationship With Top Trump Prosecutor

Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis admitted in a Friday court filing to a relationship with a lawyer she appointed to prosecute former President Donald Trump but denied the relationship interfered in the case.

Until Friday, Willis had not confirmed the affair or denied the impact of the relationship on the case.

If Willis resigns or recuses herself from the case, it could effectively end the county’s prosecution of Trump or potentially delay the proceedings until after the presidential election. Republicans have accused Willis of interfering in the presidential election.

Trump and codefendant Mike Roman have accused Willis and Nathan Wade, her top prosecutor, of corruption in the case for:

1. Maintaining an improper romantic relationship
2. Enriching themselves through the taxpayer-funded prosecution
3. Meeting with Biden administration officials before indicting Trump and codefendants

Republicans Slam Biden for ‘Disastrous’ Response to U.S. Soldiers Being Murdered: ‘Retaliatory Strikes Are Not Deterrence’

Republican lawmakers slammed President Joe Biden on Friday for taking nearly a full week to respond to three U.S. troops being murdered in the Middle East last weekend, saying that the administration’s response did not go far enough and failed to establish deterrence.

U.S. bombers hit dozens of targets in a limited number of locations in Iraq and Syria after Iranian-backed terrorists conducted a suicide drone attack on a U.S. base last week that also wounded approximately three dozen troops.

“The tragic deaths of three U.S. troops in Jordan, perpetrated by Iran-backed militias, demanded a clear and forceful response,” said House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA). “Unfortunately, the administration waited for a week and telegraphed to the world, including to Iran, the nature of our response. The public handwringing and excessive signaling undercuts our ability to put a decisive end to the barrage of attacks endured over the past few months.”

“We have suffered more than 150 attacks on U.S. forces, lost American lives, and spent billions of dollars in the region since October,” he continued. “It is long overdue for the Biden administration to admit that its strategy of appeasing Iran has been disastrous for the international community and regional stability. We must stand firmly against those who would harm Americans, propagate terror, or threaten our allies. Now is the time for President Biden to wake up to the reality that his policy of placating Iran has failed. So Much for Unity: Biden Reportedly Refers to Trump as ‘Sick F**k’ in Private Remarks

In private settings, President Joe Biden has allegedly used aggressive profanity to describe former President Donald Trump, despite his campaign stance on promoting unity within the United States, according to a report by Politico on Thursday. At least three individuals claimed to have heard Biden refer to Trump as a “sick f—,” with one source also stating that Biden used the term “f—ing a**hole” in private.

The reported remarks stem from Biden’s claims that Trump supported and cheered on the events of January 6, 2021, during the Capitol riot. During a speech near Valley Forge, Pennsylvania, on January 6, 2023, Biden reportedly almost used the term publicly but stopped short, allowing the sentence to trail off amid applause and laughter from the crowd.

In that speech, Biden accused Trump and his MAGA supporters of embracing and laughing about political violence. The president characterized Trump’s actions as “sick” before trailing off. The reported private remarks echo a departure from Biden’s campaign pledge to restore civility and unity in American politics.

Despite campaigning on a promise to bring people together, Biden has been criticized for his increasingly aggressive rhetoric against Trump and his supporters. In a September 2022 speech in Philadelphia, Biden labeled them a “threat to democracy.” Biden’s comments also harken back to his behavior during the 2012 presidential campaign, where he faced backlash for suggesting that then-Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney would put black people “back in chains.”

Donald Trump’s presidential campaign and the White House have yet to respond to President Biden’s reported remarks.

Insanity: Police Department Adopts ‘Gender-Inclusive’ Policies to Accommodate Criminals (VIDEO)

The El Paso Police Department has unveiled a set of new gender-inclusive procedures in a pathetic attempt to accommodate “transgender/gender-diverse” criminals. In a collaborative effort with the Borderland Rainbow Center, an LGBTQ community organization, the department’s initiative titled “Constitutional Policing” introduces significant changes in police interactions with suspects and other individuals.

Under the new policy, officers are instructed to ask all individuals, including suspected criminals, for their preferred names, pronouns, and gender identity during encounters. More from the Washington Examiner:

Specific changes include that an officer with the police department asks every person they encounter, “How would you like to be referred to?”

Furthermore, when possible, officers frisking a suspect will detail to that person the reasons that led to their reasonable suspicions, and quarterly reports will be produced by internal affairs to document complaints of “bias-based policing.”

“Constitutional Policing” is the product of a partnership with the Borderland Rainbow Center, an LGBT community center, and the center’s director said the new policy for police is just the beginning.

“The most important thing is that we can’t change the past, but what we can do is take this first moment and run with it,” Executive Director Amber Perez said.

Additionally, officers conducting frisks will be required, when possible, to explain the reasons behind their reasonable suspicions to the suspects involved. The goal is to enhance transparency and communication during police interactions.

To address leftist concerns related to bias-based policing, the El Paso Police Department will produce quarterly reports documenting complaints in this regard.

It Took Approximately 20 Minutes For Kids To Revolt When School Put Tampon Dispenser In Boys’ Bathroom

It only took roughly 20 minutes for a tampon dispenser in the boy’s restroom at Brookfield High School in Connecticut to be torn down, according to a report from CT Insider.

Principal Marc Balanda sent an email out to students and their families on Jan. 24 and explained that the new dispenser had been torn down and basically destroyed in less than 25 minutes, according to CT Insider. Balanda called the incident “disgusting” and an “egregious instance of vandalism and destruction of property” in the email with a subject line that read “I am feeling ‘dis-’ right now.”

“A dispenser with menstrual products was installed in the boy’s bathroom near the (main office),” Balanda wrote. “The installation was completed at 9:30 (a.m.). By 9:52 (a.m.), tampons were on the floor, the newly installed distribution box was ripped off the wall along with the masonry anchors, and the distribution box itself was destroyed.”

The dispenser was put in place in compliance with a new law passed in 2022 and set to go into effect on Sep. 1 that requires all schools from grades three to 12 to put menstrual dispensers in female restrooms, and at least one male restroom, according to the text. Some who supported the bill argued that “menstruating individuals” shouldn’t have to choose between their period and going to school, according to the CT Mirror.

YMCA Camp Added a New “All Gender” Cabin for Campers in Grade 3 and Up, but That’s Not All

In fact, YMCA Camp Hazen in Chester, Connecticut, announced that it will be adding an “all gender” cabin in all five of its camp villages this year in order to provide “housing for all” this summer.

The “All-Gender Cabin” serves campers whose identity may or may not fall into the male-female binary, including allies interested in living in an all-gender space and campers who “don’t want to be in a traditional ‘gendered’ cabin for any reason”.

Campers who request a cabin mate of a different gender (e.g., friend, sibling, cousin) or who have not felt safe in a specifically gendered space, or who “want to try something new” are welcome in the All Gender Cabin. . .

The traditional Boys and Girls cabins have been labeled as “Boys+” and “Girls+” cabins to make sure that all campers are included and feel a sense of belonging.
