President Joe Biden has been seen in pictures and videos enjoying a weekend of walks on Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, as Hamas terrorists pushed their campaign of destruction against Israel and the U.S. placed additional troops on prepare-to-deploy orders to the Middle East.

One short clip shows the octogenarian and first lady Jill Biden strolling the Atlantic beachfront on Sunday while a reporter off screen asks him about the release of Americans being held hostage by Hamas terrorists.

Biden cheerily waves towards the reporter but does not stop to answer questions before continuing his jocund seaside perambulation.

Rashida Tlaib Slammed for Response to Death of Synagogue President in Detroit

Tragedy struck in Detroit over the weekend, when 40-year-old Samantha Woll was found dead after a fatal stabbing outside of her home. She had been the president of the Isaac Agree Downtown Synagogue since 2022 and had formerly served as an aide to Rep. Elissa Slotkin (D-MI), and was a campaign staffer for Attorney General Dana Nessel (D), according to the Detroit Free Press. She had been identified in a statement by Mayor Mike Duggan, the Associated Press mentioned. Woll was also known for having founded the Muslim-Jewish Forum of Detroit. The synagogue is in the 13th Congressional District, not far from Rep. Rashida Tlaib’s (D-MI) 12th Congressional District, who represented the 13th until the maps were redrawn due to redistricting.

Not only has Tlaib pushed the falsehood that Israel was responsible for the explosion at the hospital, her outrage could not be more selective. As of Sunday afternoon, she has not yet posted from either of her X accounts about Woll’s death.

The Detroit Free Press highlighted a post from the congresswoman’s personal page, though there’s nothing on her other Facebook pages, Instagram, or either of her X accounts. This is despite Tlaib’s Facebook referring to her as a “friend.”

Newsweek highlighted outrage over Tlaib’s reaction–or lack thereof–on Saturday night, pointing out “Rashida Tlaib Under Fire After Detroit Synagogue Leader’s Slaying.”

Alaska Airlines Murder Attempt: Pilot Charged With 83 Counts After Allegedly Attempting to Crash Plane; Are Mushrooms to Blame?

An off-duty pilot allegedly tried to shut off the engines on an Alaska Airlines plane while it was on its way to San Francisco, police said.

The plane on Flight 2059 was travelling from Everett, Washington, but had to be diverted to Portland, Oregon, after the incident.

Horizon Air, a subsidiary of Alaska Airlines, said the presence of a “credible threat” in the jump seat of the cockpit’s flight deck.

Trump Files Three Motions to Dismiss 2020 Election Case

Former President Donald Trump’s lawyers have filed three new motions to dismiss the case surrounding his alleged attempts to overturn the results of the 2020 election.

The defense’s arguments for dismissal are on constitutional grounds, on legal grounds, and on selective prosecution grounds, saying the indictment “rants endlessly about President Trump’s politics” and shows “a shockingly un-American display of authoritarianism…”

Trump also claimed that he should be granted absolute immunity in the federal election interference case against him. The prosecution, led by special counsel Jack Smith, rebuked that argument in a filing last week.

Pentagon Outlines Multiple Chinese Attack Plans for Taiwan

China’s military is building up forces for an attack on Taiwan that could take place in the coming years as part of a campaign by President Xi Jinping for “national rejuvenation,” according to the latest Pentagon’s annual report on the Chinese military.

The report, based on declassified intelligence from the Defense Intelligence Agency, military and other spy services, provides the most detailed U.S. government assessment made public to date of Chinese plans for military action against the self-ruled, democratic island Beijing claims as its territory.

China “continues to signal its willingness to use military force against Taiwan” while asserting it seeks a peaceful solution to cross-strait ties, the report noted. . .

“The PLA has a range of options to coerce Taipei based on its increasing capabilities in multiple domains,” the annual assessment concludes.

One new weapons system near Taiwan disclosed in the report is a long-range multiple rocket artillery system that was tested during war games held near Taiwan in August 2022. Military analyst Tom Shugart said the new rocket system allows the PLA to target the entire island of Taiwan from areas along the Chinese mainland coast. This Country Is One Step Closer to NATO Membership

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has submitted a protocol for Sweden’s admission into NATO to Turkey’s Parliament for ratification, his office said Monday, bringing the Nordic country a step closer to membership in the military alliance.

Erdogan had been delaying ratification of Sweden’s membership, accusing Stockholm of being too soft on Kurdish militants and other groups his country considers to be security threats. Turkey also was angered by a series of Quran-burning protests in Sweden.

All 31 NATO allies must endorse Sweden’s membership. Turkey and Hungary are the only two allies that have yet to ratify it.

Sweden welcomed the move.

“Glad to hear that Turkish President Erdogan has now handed over the ratification documents to the Turkish Parliament,” Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson wrote on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter. “Now it remains for Parliament to deal with the issue. ‘Super Fog’ Causes 158-Vehicle Pile-up With at Least 7 Dead

At least seven people were killed and dozens injured Monday when 158 vehicles crashed during “superfog” conditions on a Louisiana expressway, authorities said.

Additional motorists could be discovered dead as first responders sift through the burnt-out and mangled cars involved in a series of pile-ups in both directions on Interstate 55, Louisiana State Police said.

The exact number of injured is not known but at least 25 people were rushed to area hospitals with injuries ranging from minor to critical.

Gov. John Bel Edwards issued a call for blood donors to replenish supplies following the crashes.

Two More Hostages Released From Gaza; Terror Expert Explains Why

Two more hostages who were kidnapped by Palestinian Islamic terrorists two weeks ago have been released by their captors.

The families of Nurit Cooper, 79, and Yocheved Lifshitz, 85, were notified that both women were released by Hamas. Their husbands are still being held hostage.

They have reportedly been handed over to the Red Cross.

Joe Truzman, a research analyst for the Foundation for Defense of Democracies (FDD) focused on Palestinian armed groups, said that Hamas’ claims that it released the hostages for humanitarian reasons were bogus.

“It’s simply a tactic to create international pressure on Israel to delay a ground incursion into Gaza,” he said.

Former NSA Employee Pleads Guilty After Trying to Sell Classified Information to Russia

A former National Security Agency (NSA) employee pleaded guilty on Monday to attempting to sell classified national defense information to an FBI employee he believed to be an agent of the Russian Federation.

Jareh Sebastian Dalke, 31, of Colorado Springs, faces a possible life sentence after he pleaded guilty today to six counts of attempting to transmit classified National Defense Information (NDI) to an officer or agent of a foreign government, according to the Department of Justice.

His plea agreement states that federal prosecutors agreed not to request more than 22 years in prison, but the U.S. authorities said the judge would ultimately determine his sentence.

Dalke reportedly admitted to the charges during a hearing before U.S. District Judge Raymond Moore, where he answered the judge’s questions concerning the terms of his deal and acknowledged he has been taking medication for mental illness over the last year while in custody. Israel Levels Secret Hamas Terrorist Cell Hidden in an Unexpected Location

Israel Defense Forces (IDF) launched an airstrike Sunday on a compound beneath the al-Ansar Mosque in the Jenin refugee camp in the West Bank after receiving intel that indicated “terrorists…were organizing an imminent terror attack,” the military said in a statement. While most of Israel’s offensive against Hamas has been targeted at Gaza, which is fully under Hamas control, this is the second Israeli air strike on a West Bank target in recent days.

Israeli authorities said the facility was being used by Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad to plan further attacks against Israel after its initial assault on October 7. This situation further highlights how Hamas is all too willing to place Palestinian civilians in danger as it fights against Israel.

Israeli aircraft struck a compound beneath a mosque in the West Bank early on Sunday that the military said was being used by militants to organise attacks, and Palestinian medics said at least one person was killed.

The Israeli air strike is at least the second in recent days to hit the West Bank, where violence has surged since Hamas gunmen from Gaza carried out a deadly Oct. 7 rampage in Israel.

Israel said the compound beneath al-Ansar Mosque, in Jenin refugee camp, belonged to operatives from Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad who were responsible for attacks in recent months.
