GOP Candidate Suspends Long-Shot Presidential Campaign

Long-shot Republican presidential candidate Perry Johnson announced the suspension of his campaign.

Johnson failed to reach 1% in any national polling but still garnered headlines for his innovative campaign tactics, including selling $1 T-shirts to meet the 40,000 individual donor requirement. Despite this, Johnson failed to meet the criteria to reach the Republican debate stage, leading to the businessman lambasting the Republican National Committee for alleged corruption, going so far as to file a Federal Electoral Commission complaint against it. He blamed the RNC for his campaign failing to take off and for his move to suspend his campaign.

“I must admit, the corruption among leaders at the RNC during this process was appalling,” Johnson said in the statement. “Not only was the debate process set up to keep outsiders off the stage and without a voice, but when we did meet their arbitrary metrics, corrupt leaders used their authoritarian power to kick me off the stage at 11 p.m. the Monday before the debate, despite our team working with Fox News all weekend on logistics.”

“With no opportunity to share my vision on the debate stage, I have decided at this time, suspending my campaign is the right thing to do,” he said.

White House Posts – Then Deletes – Photo Outing Special Operators Working to Free Hamas Hostages; Media Gaffe Could Put Operators’ Lives ‘In Danger,’ Special Operations Group Says

By New York Post. The Biden administration admitted Thursday that it had accidentally outed the identities of several US special operators working to help Israel find and rescue hostages taken by Hamas terrorists.

In one of the more egregious examples of the old adage, “loose lips sink ships,” the White House posted a photo to its official Instagram account of President Biden shaking the hand of a member of the Army’s elite counter terrorism unit.

Along with the service member Biden was greeting, the faces of three other Delta Force fighters could be seen in the photo.

The soldier shaking hands with Biden also revealed a distinctive set of tattoos on his right arm.

Biden White House’s Media Gaffe Could Put Operators’ Lives ‘In Danger,’ Special Operations Group Says

By Daily Caller. The head of an organization that represents special operators said a White House social media misstep that exposed special operators could put the lives of those servicemembers at risk in exclusive comments to the Daily Caller News Foundation on Thursday.

On Wednesday night, the White House social media account posted, and then deleted, a photo of President Joe Biden meeting with special forces personnel in Israel that exposed their faces — and thus identities. David Cook, the executive director for the Special Operations Association of America, told the DCNF the security breach could not only endanger the lives and careers of the operators exposed in the photo but give Hamas, whom the U.S. is helping Israel defeat, a “huge propaganda win.”

“I don’t even know what to say. These are horrible operational security failures,” Cook told the DCNF.

“The risk is high. These guys that got pictured, it could ruin their careers. They could put their families in danger. It could put them in danger,” Cook told the DCNF.

Modern facial recognition technology aside, photos that did circulate blacking out the operators’ faces still showed tattoos, watches and other identifying details. Adversaries could easily exploit this information to target the operators or their families, Cook said. McCarthy Screams at Gaetz as Fellow GOP Rep ‘Almost Lunged at Him’

The Republican conference meeting grew heated following the announcement that Rep Jim Jordan is relaunching his campaign for the gavel after putting a pause on his speakership bid.

Rep Kevin McCarthy, the recently ousted speaker, reportedly screamed at Rep Matt Gaetz, who brought the motion to vacate against Mr McCarthy earlier this month, to sit down and Rep Michael Bost was seen “almost lunging at him,” a person who was in the room told Axios.

Mr Jordan backtracked on a pause on his speakership bid on Thursday (19 October), announcing in the afternoon that the members of the House GOP had rejected a temporary solution to empower interim speaker Patrick McHenry until January.

“We made the pitch to members on the resolution as a way to lower the temperature and get back to work. We decided that wasn’t where we’re gonna go. I’m still running for speaker and I plan to go the floor and get the votes and win this race,” he said, according to the Washington Examiner.

According to Punchbowl News, Majority Whip Tom Emmer said: “As I have made very clear over the last few days, we should never allow a Democrat-backed coalition government. Ever. Top Hunter Biden Prosecutor to Testify Before Congress in Early November, Source Confirms

Special counsel David Weiss, the U.S. attorney for the District of Delaware and lead prosecutor in the Hunter Biden investigation, will testify before the House Judiciary Committee in early November, a source familiar confirmed to the Daily Caller on Thursday.

Weiss will appear for a transcribed interview with the Judiciary Committee behind closed doors on Nov. 7, Punchbowl News first reported. The Department of Justice (DOJ) told the committee in September Weiss would be given permission to testify about the details of the Hunter Biden case.

Attorney General Merrick Garland appointed Weiss special counsel in August and largely deferred to Weiss when he appeared before the Judiciary Committee in September.

IRS whistleblowers Gary Shapley and Joseph Ziegler have accused the DOJ of giving Hunter Biden special treatment when Weiss oversaw the investigation as Delaware U.S. Attorney. Weiss wrote a letter to Republican South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham in July denying Shapley’s accusations that his charging authority was limited. Former Israeli PM Scolds CNN for Echoing Hamas on Hospital Attack: ‘Do Your Job, Not Everything Has Two Sides’

Israel’s former prime minister Natftali Bennett scolded the media for appearing to take sides in their reports on the Gaza hospital strike, while appearing on CNN on Wednesday.

“There are no two sides to this hospital [attack]. Either it was bombed by Israel, or it was targeted by someone else on the Palestinian side,” Bennett said to host Anderson Cooper.

“If two people come and say — one says it’s raining outside and the other says it’s dry, you don’t bring the quotes of both sides. You just G–d—n open the window and look whether it’s raining or not. That’s what we did and this hospital, in fact, it’s a parking lot, was hit definitely, 100% by Islamic Jihad barrage,” he bluntly remarked.

The Israeli politician said three different videos, from various angles, and ballistics confirmed that Israel was not responsible. He also said they had intercepted radio messages from two Hamas terrorists saying Islamic Jihad was responsible for the attack. . .

“So, Anderson, with all due respect there aren’t two sides to this. Not everything is two sides, and I have a feeling that if it wasn’t the state of Israel then I think the global media would have behaved very differently,” he stated. U.S. Navy Destroyer Shoots Down Cruise Missiles Potentially Headed Toward Israel: Pentagon

The USS Carney, a U.S. Navy guided-missile destroyer in the northern Red Sea, on Thursday shot down multiple missiles and drones launched by Iranian-backed Houthis in Yemen that the Pentagon said were potentially headed toward targets in Israel.

It is the first time in recent memory that a U.S. Navy ship in the Middle East has engaged missiles and drones that were not directly aimed at the vessel.

It’s also the first U.S. military action taken to defend Israel in the current crisis and with the U.S. and other countries trying to contain the conflict between Israel and Hamas, the possibility that an Iranian-backed proxy group fired missiles and drones at Israel is sure to increase growing regional tensions.

The ship was in the northern Red Sea on Thursday evening local time when it intercepted three land attack cruise missiles and several drones, Pentagon spokesman Brig. Gen. Pat Ryder said at a press briefing. U.S. officials told ABC News that the Carney had brought down eight drones launched by the Houthis.

Travis King Charged by the Army With Desertion for Defecting to North Korea — And Child Porn

The US Army has charged defector Travis King with several offenses including desertion for sprinting into North Korea in July — as well as the solicitation of child pornography and other crimes dating back to at least last year.

The wide-ranging case against King, who spent over two months in the custody of North Korean law enforcement, includes eight distinct charges under the Uniform Code of Military Justice, according to court records obtained by Reuters.

The Army claims the private had the intention of abandoning his military duties permanently when he ditched his South Korean post by running across the demilitarized border into the totalitarian country. . .

The Army’s charge sheet accuses King of broad misconduct before his defection into North Korea, including an alleged attempted escape from US military custody in October 2022.

King was also allegedly caught possessing child pornography and asked another individual over Snapchat to “knowingly and willingly produce child pornography” the same month he fled to North Korea, according to the charges. Citi Fires Banker Over ‘Revolting’ Israel Remark

Citibank has fired one of its staffers after she posted “revolting” commentary on Instagram that endorsed the mass murder of Jewish people during the Holocaust.

“No wonder why Hitler wanted to get rid of all of them,” Nozima Husainova wrote with a smiley face emoji in an Instagram story, which has since been deleted along with the 25-year-old’s Instagram and other social media accounts.

The post was a screenshot shared to X, formerly Twitter, by non-profit watchdog StopAntisemitism late Wednesday, which also posted a photo of her Instagram profile that boasted over 4,500 followers.

Husainova had written the explosive comment in response to a post about the Gaza hospital bombing that was initially blamed on Israel, but was later revealed to be caused by the Islamic Jihad terror group after its operatives misfired a rocket.

Iranian-Backed Terrorists Launch Attacks Against U.S. Forces in Iraq, Syria

U.S. forces have come under fire multiple times throughout the Middle East over the last several days from Iranian-backed terror proxy groups.

The attacks come after the USS Carney, a destroyer, was sailing in the northern Red Sea on Thursday when it detected and shot down three cruise missiles and multiple drones that were launched by Houthis, an Iranian-backed terrorist group, in Yemen. Officials said that the guided-missile destroyer was swarmed by approximately two dozen drones and they did not disclose what munitions were used to shoot down the missiles or drones.

An American contractor died on Wednesday after suffering a heart attack while running to a shelter during a drone attack at Al Asad Air Base in western Iraq.

The New York Times noted that while military investigators were still trying to ascertain who launched the drone attacks, Iran has launched these types of attacks on U.S. forces.

The Hamas-run Palestinian Health Ministry claimed earlier this week that Israel targeted a hospital in Gaza, dropped a bomb on it, and killed more than 500 people.

Democrats, legacy news publications, and notorious anti-Semitic propagandists instantly made the claims go viral Tuesday night on social media.

Every aspect of what the Palestinians claimed happened has effectively been debunked through evidence and refuted in statements released by Israeli officials, U.S. officials, and now European officials.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) released evidence showing that the explosion was not caused by an aerial bomb and did not strike the hospital — it exploded in a parking lot. It also released intercepted communications from Hamas terrorists who said the explosion was caused by a rocket fired by the Palestinian Islamic Jihad.
