Russia Says U.S. Is Lowering Threshold for Use of Nuclear Weapons

As the US and Russia are preparing to hold security talks in January, Russian officials continue to criticize Washington’s military posture. On Monday, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov accused the US of lowering the threshold for the possible use of nuclear weapons.

“We in Moscow are committed to raising the threshold for the use of nuclear weapons. An opposite trend has been seen in the United States over the recent years, with the means for nuclear destruction appearing to be perceived more and more as a battlefield weapon. This is a dangerous trend,” Ryabkov said, according to Russia’s Tass news agency.

Ryabkov warned the US attitude towards nuclear weapons risks leading to an incident similar to the 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis, something he said must not happen. Russian leaders have repeatedly warned the US against deploying missiles to Ukraine that could target Moscow and are seeking guarantees that Washington would refrain from such a provocation. Chinese Army Replacing Soldiers With Robots

The terrain being difficult, the Han Chinese soldiers unused to the cold and high altitude, the People’s Liberation Army has begun using robot vehicles for transportation and even reconnaissance.

Keeping in mind the difficult terrain of the Tibetan plateau and the difficulties the Han Chinese soldiers have faced because of the cold and the high altitude, the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) has moved in a large number of unmanned ground vehicles to carry troops, weaponry and supplies. More than half the vehicles are in areas close to the Ladakh area where the Chinese buildup is still in evidence.

The PLA has moved 88 Sharp Claw unmanned ground vehicles or UGVs into Tibet, and 38 of them in the western part of the province, close to where the Indian and Chinese armies are still face to face. The Sharp Claw UGV, manufactured by NORINCO, a Chinese arms manufacturer, can be used for reconnaissance, patrolling and transportation of weapons and logistical work in difficult terrain. it can also be fitted with weapons. Startling Report: Doctors Given Bonus to Euthanize ‘Severely Hospitalized’ COVID Patients

The New Zealand government has announced that patients admitted to the hospital for COVID-19 can be killed via euthanasia, according to Scoop.

In November, anti-euthanasia group #DefendNZ asked the New Zealand Ministry of Health (MOH) questions about the practice of the nation’s End of Life Choice Act (EOLC Act). One of these questions was, “Could a patient who is severely hospitalised with Covid-19 potentially be eligible for assisted suicide or euthanasia under the Act if a health practitioner viewed their prognosis as less than 6 months?”

The EOLC Act states that a person who has a “terminal illness that is likely to end the person’s life within 6 months” may die by euthanasia. Eligibility for both euthanasia and assisted suicide is determined by the attending medical practitioner and an independent medical practitioner.

Christmas Message: UK PM Says Getting COVID Vax ‘Is the Teaching of Jesus Christ’

Prime Minister Boris Johnson has suggested that “Getting jabbed… not just for ourselves” but for others as well is “the teaching of Jesus Christ” in a Covid-heavy Christmas message.

“After two years of this pandemic, I can’t say that we’re through it,” Prime Minister Johnson began, somewhat less than optimistically given the circumstances. . .

“I hope I can be forgiven for taking pride in the immense spirit of neighbourliness that the people of this country have shown,” the Prime Minister continued, waxing lyrical on people “Getting jabbed not just for themselves, for ourselves, but for friends and family and everyone we meet” and how “that, after all, is the teaching of Jesus Christ, whose birth is at the heart of this enormous festival, that we should love our neighbours as we love ourselves.”

“And so let’s think of all those who are being good neighbours and thinking of others,” he went on, somewhat labouring the point but stopping short of directly attacking the unvaccinated as bad neighbours — or bad Christians. Study: South Africans Have 80% Lower Risk of Omicron Hospitalization

South Africans contracting Covid-19 in the current fourth wave of infections are 80% less likely to be hospitalized if they catch the omicron variant, compared with other strains, according to a study released by the National Institute for Communicable Diseases.

Once admitted to the hospital, the risk of severe disease doesn’t differ from other variants, the authors led by scientists Nicole Walter and Cheryl Cohen said.

Compared to delta infections in South Africa between April and November, omicron infections are associated with a 70% lower risk of severe disease, they said. The omicron data was collected for the two months through November.

Since being identified by South African scientists on Nov. 25, the omicron variant has fueled record case numbers across the country. Africa’s most developed economy has fully inoculated about 44% of its adult population over a seven-month period. Vatican Issues Vax Mandate

The Vatican has eliminated the possibility of employees presenting a negative coronavirus test to gain access to their place of work, insisting that only proof of vaccination or recovery from the coronavirus disease will be admitted.

A Vatican decree Thursday signed by Secretary of State Cardinal Pietro Parolin states that the obligation of presenting a vaccine passport (Super Green Pass) to go to work applies to all personnel of the Roman Curia and institutions linked to the Holy See as well as external collaborators, visitors to the Vatican City State, and outside workers.

In a particularly severe paragraph, Cardinal Parolin declares that personnel without a valid green pass “will not be able to access the workplace and will be considered unjustifiably absent, with the consequent suspension of pay for the duration of the absence” and will be subject to the further consequences that such an absence would incur. 30 Million Christians in Danger as ‘Anti-christian Hysteria’ Sweeps World’s 2nd Largest Country

Persecution against Christians is on the rise in India — with Christians suffering communal boycotts, physical abuse and legal harassment.

Empowered by vaguely-defined state anti-conversion laws, anti-Christian mobs in many parts of the country scour through villages, seeking Christians to harm, churches to storm, Christian schools to attack and Christian literature to burn, according to a Wednesday report from the New York Times.

The rhetoric on Kremlin-funded state television is amping up the sense of urgency around Russian President Vladimir Putin’s NATO “ultimatum.” Olga Skabeeva, the host of state TV show 60 Minutes, said Tuesday: “The level of anxiety has reached its maximum. We’re 20 days away from the expiration of the ultimatum and the stakes are rising, even though it seems they couldn’t be any higher.”

One day after Moscow submitted a draft of its Russia-U.S. security treaty, containing demands that NATO roll back its military deployments in Europe and deny membership to Ukraine and other post-Soviet countries, Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov threatened that Moscow would raise the stakes if the West didn’t treat its demands seriously. On Monday, he told Interfax that Russia needs answers “urgently, because the situation is very difficult.”

Pro-Kremlin propagandists and state-media experts filled in the blanks with what kind of escalation should be expected. On Sunday’s edition of News of the Week, state-TV host Dmitry Kiselyov explained: “Russia… prepared and handed over to the Americans its written proposals on strategic stability, or, more simply, on the prevention of nuclear war, since we are already at a critical point, to be honest… It’s simple. The U.S. and NATO must roll back from our borders, otherwise we will, figuratively speaking, ‘roll up’ to their borders and create symmetrical, unacceptable risks… If you put a gun to our head, we will respond in kind… The whole point is that the development of the Ukrainian territory by the [Western] bloc is not only Ukraine’s business. This is a complete breakdown of the global balance, which poses an existential threat to Russia. Russia Is Now Claiming the U.S. Is Preparing a ‘Chemical Weapons’ Attack in Ukraine

By The Daily Beast. After the Kremlin’s ultimatums to NATO appeared to fall flat earlier this week, Moscow ratcheted up the crazy on Tuesday with new claims of U.S. mercenaries supposedly preparing a “chemical weapons” attack and a threat of unspecified “military-technical” action.

“Tanks with unidentified chemical components have been delivered to the cities of Avdeyevka and Krasny Liman for the completion of the provocations,” Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu told a meeting of defense officials as President Vladimir Putin looked on.

Shoigu claimed the Defense Ministry was aware of 120 representatives of private U.S. military contractors currently training Ukrainian forces, according to RIA Novosti.

At the same meeting, Putin took things even further and warned of “military-technical” action against the West, deploying language the Kremlin has often used to deliver stern warnings in its conflicts with the U.S.

“If our Western colleagues continue the obviously aggressive stance, we will take appropriate retaliatory military-technical measures and react harshly to unfriendly moves,” he said, according to Russia’s TASS news agency. Iran Destroys Target With Ballistic Missile in Terrifying Warning as U.S. Nuke Tensions Soar

Iran’s Revolutionary Guards destroyed targets using their ballistic and cruise missiles on Tuesday during war games in the Gulf, according to state TV. This missile test is seen as an Iranian show of force against the US and Israel, amid heightened tensions between Iran and the two countries over possible Israeli plans to target Iranian nuclear sites.

Speaking to the broadcaster, Guards chief General Hossein Salami said: “The use of ballistic missiles by the Revolutionary Guards’ navy is a new concept … and they hit their targets with 100% precision.”

Iran has claimed that its ballistic missiles have a range of 2,000 km and are capable of reaching Israel and U.S. military bases in the Middle East.

On Monday, Tehran warned of a “crushing” response to any act of aggression taken by Israel, which is staunchly opposed to Iran becoming a nuclear power.

Israel currently opposes efforts by world powers to revive Tehran’s 2015 nuclear deal. It has even threatened military action against Iran if diplomacy fails to prevent the country from acquiring a nuclear bomb. Will The UK Mandate COVID Vaccines And Become A Two-Tier Society?

Americans may wonder how their Revolutionary nemesis across the pond is faring in the battle between COVID restrictions and civil liberties. Well, the world is being drowned in a rising tide of two-tier medical apartheid — and Britain is no longer exempt.

It began with retired doctor David Lloyd endorsing the United Kingdom following Austria, Germany, and Greece in imposing indefinite lockdowns and punitive fines on people who are not vaccinated against COVID-19. Then “Good Morning Britain”ran a Twitter poll asking viewers if the government should make vaccination mandatory. The poll registered 89 percent of 42,663 votes against and was deleted.

Then Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced at a press conference that vaccine passports would be introduced in response to the Omicron variant (which the U.K. reported its first death with this week). Despite promises that COVID certification will only apply to nightclubs, we’ve seen the scheme expanded to other venues in neighboring nations Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland, across Europe, and in New York. . .

Afterwards, academics, journalists, and Baroness Karen Brady appropriated the Soviet’s antisemitic term “refuseniks” to condemn those unwilling to take a COVID vaccine. The apparatuses of state, media, and academia moved in lockstep to normalize the punishment, ostracism, and confiscation of bodily autonomy from the unvaccinated.

As somebody who cannot take any of the offered booster jabs, it terrifies me that health-care workers — whom the British public venerated every Thursday evening during the pandemic — and so-called “libertarian” politicians now support making me a second-class citizen due to my medical condition.
