Doctor Reveals the Secret to Dodging the “Age 75 Cliff” — and Staying Strong for Decades Longer

Most people assume aging means slowing down — but longevity expert Dr. Peter Attia says that doesn’t have to be true. According to the Stanford-trained physician, many Americans “fall off a cliff” around age 75 — a point where health, strength, and independence decline sharply. But, he says, with the right habits, that plunge can be prevented — or even reversed.

“In your seventies, most people see a huge drop-off in their physical and mental health,” Attia told 60 Minutes. “At 75, both men and women fall off a cliff.”

Yet his message isn’t one of inevitability — it’s one of empowerment. With deliberate lifestyle changes, Attia says it’s possible to extend not just lifespan, but what doctors now call healthspan — the number of years lived free from disease and disability.

Dr. Douglas Vaughan, director of Northwestern University’s Potocsnak Longevity Institute, explained that the key lies in lifestyle. “Stopping smoking, drinking less, maintaining a healthy weight, exercising, avoiding processed foods, and prioritizing sleep all extend healthspan,” he told Fox News Digital.

Attia shared five major strategies he uses with his patients to help them stay strong and independent deep into old age.

1. Train Like Life Is a Sport

Attia says the single best predictor of longevity is fitness — specifically, a high VO₂ max (a measure of cardiovascular capacity). “Your VO₂ max predicts your risk of death from any cause, even more than blood pressure, cholesterol, or smoking status,” he said.

He personally logs about 10 hours of exercise per week, mixing fat-burning cardio, high-intensity intervals, and strength training. Maintaining muscle, mobility, and endurance, he says, should be treated like a lifelong sport.

2. Eat More Protein Than You Think You Need

Current nutritional guidelines, Attia argues, undershoot the amount of protein needed for healthy aging. He recommends doubling the standard protein intake to help preserve muscle mass, support immunity, and reduce disease risk as the body ages.

3. Track the Right Health Metrics

Attia emphasizes testing that goes beyond traditional bloodwork. He uses DEXA scans to monitor bone density and body composition, along with fitness metrics like VO₂ max to track how efficiently the body uses oxygen during exertion.

4. Don’t Neglect Emotional and Mental Health

Physical health alone isn’t enough. “By working hard on our physical health, we can reduce the rate of decline,” Attia said. “But if we’re deliberate and active on our emotional health, it can actually improve.” He encourages practices that nurture connection, gratitude, and purpose — qualities that have been shown to lengthen lifespan.

5. Optimize the “Marginal Decade”

Finally, Attia says everyone should think ahead to what he calls the marginal decade — the final 10 years of life. “The marginal decade’s not going anywhere,” he said. “We will all have a final decade. The question is — what kind of shape do you want to be in when it arrives?”
Attia’s message is clear: aging is inevitable, but decline doesn’t have to be. The key isn’t just adding years to life — it’s adding life to those years.

Deadbeat Arizona Dad Dies by Suicide after Leaving 2-Year-Old Daughter to Die in Hot Car While He Watched Porn

The deadbeat Arizona dad who admitted to leaving his 2-year-old daughter to die in a sweltering car while he watched porn is dead — with his cowardly ending deemed a suicide, according to reports.

Christopher Scholtes, 38, was found dead in a Phoenix home just after 5 a.m. Wednesday, police told The Post, the same day he was due to report to prison ahead of his sentencing, where he faced up to 30 years behind bars. . .

The despicable dad — who had a known habit of leaving his kids in the car — pleaded guilty in October to second-degree murder and was expected to be officially sentenced to between 20 and 30 years this month.

His death comes more than a year after his young daughter, Parker, was found dead in the driveway of their Marana home outside Tuscon on a scorching July afternoon in 2024, when the temperature soared to 109-degrees Fahrenheit. . .

Scholtes was inside watching porn, playing video games and drinking beer while his daughter roasted to death.

That was something he apparently made a habit of doing – not just in one family, but in two. (Read more from “Deadbeat Arizona Dad Dies by Suicide after Leaving 2-Year-Old Daughter to Die in Hot Car While He Watched Porn” HERE)

Halloween Horror: Trick-or-Treating Teen Girls Attacked with Acid by ‘Hooded Youths’

A group of teenage girls were assaulted with acid on their way home from trick or treating by a group of “hooded youths” on Saturday evening in a Paris suburb.

The Kremlin-Bicêtre police have opened an investigation after six costume-wearing teens were attacked on their way home from an evening of Halloween trick-or-treating in the Villejuif commune of the Val-de-Marne suburb of Paris.

According to Le Journale du Dimanche, at around 830 pm, the group of girls were approached by three hooded youths who began to follow them. While the girls attempted to flee, the youths took out a soda bottle and threw it at them.

Upon impact with the ground, the bottle exploded, and its liquid contents sprayed on the girls’ costumes, as well as parts of their bodies, including in the mouth, eyes, and skin.

After noticing that the substance had corroded their costumes, the girls then fled to the house of one of their parents, who went back to the scene of the incident and retrieved the bottle. (Read more from “Halloween Horror: Trick-or-Treating Teen Girls Attacked with Acid by ‘Hooded Youths’” HERE)

Report: Gavin Newsom’s Prostitution Shield Law Creates Sex Market Full of 12, 13-Year-Old Girls in Downtown L.A.

The New York Times has shone a spotlight on the Democrats’ long-ignored “kiddie stroll” sex market on Los Angeles’ Figueroa Street, yet the newspaper downplayed the pimp shield law pushed by a libertarian Democratic legislator, Rep Scott Wiener, and signed by California Gov. Gavin Newsom.

“For the 77th Street Division, which covers the northern half of the Figueroa Corridor, prostitution had always been a problem. But in recent years, the officers had seen the magnitude of child sex trafficking explode,” says the article, written by reporter Emily Baumgaertner Nunn.

Gangs that had long sold drugs began to take advantage of Figueroa’s lucrative opportunity. With a dozen girls, one trafficker could easily make $12,000 a night. “Drugs are sold once and gone forever, but girls can be resold indefinitely,” said [police sergeant Alvaro] Navarro, who had been in the division for two decades. Motel owners who noticed the parades of customers but feared the gangs’ retribution kept quiet.

. . .

Gov. Gavin Newsom signed the police handcuff bill after it was pushed by Wiener and his far-left allies, who passed SB357 in 2022.

The newspaper did not mention Newsom or Wiener, or clearly describe the pro-prostitution bill, which was pitched by Wiener as legal support for minorities along with gays and “transgender” people.

Wisconsin Public Schools Provide Sanctuary For Accused Groomers And Sex Abusers

What do you get when a teacher’s union stooge steeped in left-wing dogma runs your public school system? Sanctuary for accused groomers and sex offenders.

Such is the case at Wisconsin’s Department of Public Instruction (DPI), run by teachers union pet Jill Underly. The bought-and-paid-for superintendent has presided over an educator licensing scandal that is as abhorrent as it is alarming.

Kudos to Madison’s Cap Times for committing a brazen act of journalism. The left-leaning newspaper’s year-long investigation found DPI “investigated” more than 200 teachers, aides, substitutes, and administrators “accused of sexual misconduct or grooming behaviors toward students” between 2018 and 2023.

“The department’s internal records show these allegations included educators sexually assaulting students, soliciting nude photos from children or initiating sexual relationships immediately after students graduated,” the news outlet reported. “Licensing officials also investigated educators accused of grooming behaviors like flirting with children, spending non-school time alone and isolated with students, or invading students’ personal space by rubbing their shoulders, thighs and lower backs.”

The publication found at least 44 percent of the public education regulator’s license probes over the period have involved sexual misconduct or grooming allegations. Of the 461 teachers investigated over the period for all forms of misconduct, 207 kept their licenses and were allowed to continue to work with children in schools, the Cap Times reported. China and Russia Reportedly Using ‘Sex Warfare’ to Target Silicon Valley Tech Executives

In a chilling new development straight out of a Cold War thriller, reports suggest that China and Russia are deploying “beautiful women” to seduce top technology executives in Silicon Valley — all part of a broader espionage campaign aimed at stealing America’s most valuable trade secrets.

According to a report from The Times of London, female spies from both countries have been engaging in so-called “sex warfare,” with some even marrying and having children with their targets to establish long-term access to sensitive corporate and defense information.

“It’s the Wild West out there,” said Jeff Stoff, president of the Center for Research Security & Integrity (CRSI) and a former U.S. national security analyst. “China is targeting our startups, our academic institutions, our innovators, our DoD-funded research projects. There’s not enough oversight and action. It’s all intertwined as part of China’s economic warfare strategy — and we’ve not even entered the battlefield.”

The report claims that espionage efforts go far beyond traditional spying. Foreign operatives are said to be infiltrating the tech world through social media, startup competitions, and venture capital investments, exploiting the fast-paced and loosely regulated nature of Silicon Valley’s innovation ecosystem.

Five counterintelligence experts told The Times that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has been hosting American startup competitions under the guise of “innovation exchanges” — allegedly to gain access to sensitive business plans and proprietary data.

One counterintelligence source revealed a particularly striking case: a “beautiful” Russian woman who worked for a U.S.-based aerospace company met and eventually married an American engineer, later having children with him. “Showing up, marrying a target, having kids with a target — and conducting a lifelong collection operation, it’s very uncomfortable to think about, but it’s so prevalent,” the source said.

Earlier this year, the U.S. House Committee on Homeland Security warned that the CCP had carried out more than 60 espionage operations in the United States over the past four years — though intelligence officials suspect the real number is much higher.

The report also highlights past cases of intellectual property theft tied to China. In 2024, Klaus Pflugbeil of Ningbo, China, was sentenced to two years in prison after attempting to sell stolen Tesla technology for $15 million to undercover agents in Las Vegas. His alleged accomplice, Yilong Shao, remains at large.

The Commission on the Theft of American Intellectual Property estimates that trade secret theft costs the U.S. up to $600 billion annually, with China identified as the primary culprit.

Trans Swimmer Banned for 5 Years After Gender Test Refusal

Transgender swimmer Ana Caldas has received a five-year ban and was stripped of all competition results between June 2022 and October 2024 by World Aquatics for allegedly refusing to take a gender verification test.

The 47-year-old Caldas, who goes by Hannah, explained that they feel it is “not medically necessary” to undergo costly chromosomal testing that is not covered by their insurance — and ultimately accepted the punishment. . .

“No US state requires genetic tests for recreational sports events like these. Not even US Masters Swimming, the national governing body for recreational adult swimming in the US, demands this for any of its events.”

The gender verification screening reportedly is part of World Aquatics’ investigation into Caldas’ eligibility, which stemmed from an investigation by Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton into US Masters Swimming earlier this year.

“I understand and accept the consequences,” Caldas said. “But a five-year suspension is the price I have to pay to protect my most intimate medical information.

Book: Prince Andrew’s Secret Network to ‘Arrange Girls’ for Sex Exposed

Disgraced royal Prince Andrew allegedly relied on a vast network of staff, security, and social connections to “arrange girls” for sex — all while maintaining close ties to Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, according to shocking new claims from royal biographer Andrew Lownie.

In his upcoming book, Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York, Lownie reveals that Andrew, long known for his controversial behavior, often pressured aides and friends to find him women — specifically blondes and ballerinas. The revelations come just days after the prince surrendered his remaining royal titles amid renewed scrutiny tied to the Epstein scandal.

Lownie claims Andrew’s obsession with women was an “open secret” among palace insiders. “He would spy out an attractive ballerina at the Royal Ballet and then send his protection officer to invite her to meet the prince,” the author writes. Other accounts describe aides approaching women at nightclubs or inviting them to the prince’s private hotel suites while traveling abroad.

One British diplomat reportedly snapped after receiving such requests, saying, “I’m a diplomat, not a pimp.”

According to the book, even taxpayer-funded personal protection officers were occasionally drawn into Andrew’s pursuits — helping to arrange encounters that sometimes involved women he “didn’t realize were prostitutes.”

Lownie also details how Andrew exploited his royal role, especially his position as patron of the English National Ballet, where staff believed he used the post to meet dancers rather than promote the arts. “His main interest was in the dancers rather than ballet itself,” one official said.

The scandal has only deepened following the posthumous release of Virginia Giuffre’s memoir, in which she reaffirmed that she was forced to have sex with Andrew on three occasions as part of Epstein’s trafficking network. Andrew settled Giuffre’s civil suit in 2022 for millions but has continued to deny all allegations.

Giuffre, who was found dead earlier this year at age 41, had long been one of the most outspoken Epstein survivors. Her sudden death has reignited public outrage — and renewed focus on Andrew’s past connections to Epstein and Maxwell, both of whom were convicted or accused of trafficking minors.

Meanwhile, former President Donald Trump has attempted to downplay the growing scandal surrounding the unsealed Epstein documents, calling them a “Democrat hoax” designed to smear political rivals and public figures. Trump, who himself had a history of socializing with Epstein before distancing himself, has denied any wrongdoing or involvement in the disgraced financier’s crimes.

Despite Trump’s denials, the Epstein network continues to ensnare powerful figures across politics, finance, and royalty — and Andrew’s downfall stands as one of its most visible casualties.

The prince’s decision to relinquish his royal titles last week — including the Duke of York designation — underscores the mounting pressure from Buckingham Palace to protect the monarchy’s image. In a statement, Andrew said he was stepping back because “continued accusations about me distract from the work of His Majesty and the Royal Family.”

Popular Birth Control Is Linked to Brain Tumors — As Over 1,000 Women Sue Pfizer Over Health Risks

Women who use Depo-Provera face a higher risk of developing a slow-growing brain tumor, according to a new study that comes as the contraceptive’s maker, Pfizer, faces hundreds of lawsuits claiming that it was aware of the potential risks.

Depo-Provera — the brand name for depot medroxyprogesterone acetate (DMPA) — contains the synthetic progestin hormone, which stops the ovaries from releasing an egg to prevent pregnancy.

The injections, used by roughly 1 in 4 sexually active US women at some point, last about three months.

For the new study, researchers examined over 61 million female patient records, finding that women who used DMPA had a twofold higher risk of getting diagnosed with meningioma compared to women not on hormonal birth control.

Meningioma is typically benign, but the tumors can cause problems by putting pressure on nerves or brain structures. The disease affects women more frequently than men, likely due to the influence of female hormones that can fuel tumor growth. Letitia James Is Housing Felon OnlyFans Model Relative at Her Other Virginia Property — Which Also Faced Fed Investigation

New York Attorney General Letitia James is housing a second felon family member at her properties in Virginia — and The Post can reveal she and her big sister were partners in crime.

James’ grand-niece Cayla Thompson-Hairston, 21 — who is an OnlyFans star with a public, X-rated social media presence — was charged in April 2024 with lying about her felony criminal record when she tried to buy a gun in Suffolk, Virginia, according to court docs.

Cayla was legally “disqualified” from owning a firearm due to an August 2020 felony charge of malicious wounding — which Virginia law defines as a crime in which a person “shoots, stabs, cuts or wounds any other person, or by any means causes bodily injury, with the intent to maim, disfigure, disable or kill.”

Thompson-Hairston was a juvenile at the time, and the records of that case are sealed.

In 2019, when Cayla was just 15 years old, she was also caught up in the criminal hijinks of her big sister, Nakia Thompson, 36, who is a wanted fugitive by North Carolina authorities with a slew of arrests, according to docs.
