Former Miss Iraq: Ilhan Omar Trying to Push Sharia Law on U.S.

A former Miss Iraq who was forced to flee her native country after posting a selfie of herself and Miss Israel has lambasted Rep. Ilhan Omar for trying to push Sharia law on the U.S. and says that the congresswoman does not represent her as a Muslim.

“Ilhan Omar does not represent me as a Muslim — does not represent millions of Muslims in the Middle East,” Sarah Idan, who lives in the U.S., told “The Sara Carter Show.” . . .

“They are extremist Muslims, Sunni Muslims, who are now working together with Iran against all the Arab countries,” she said. “They’re working now with Hezbollah, with Turkey, with all that. You know, the thing is about this organization, they are extremist Muslims, they’re Jihadis, and they have this ideology that they want to control the world.” . . .

Her remarks came in the wake of a Twitter battle in which Idan accused Omar of trying to “export” the same ideology that she fled from in the Middle East. “First was the Middle East, then Europe & now the USA. I fled from the same ideology you’re trying to export here,” she said.

The former Miss Universe contestant, who grew up in Iraq under the regime of Saddam Hussein, fled the country after receiving threats that her Iraqi citizenship would be withdrawn because she posted a selfie with Miss Israel.

Family Allegedly Asked to Leave Outback Steakhouse After Receiving Noise Complaint About Disabled Son

On Monday, a women named Amanda Jean Braun posted a lengthy Facebook post detailing a troubling incident that reportedly took place at her local Outback Steakhouse restaurant in Glen Burnie, Maryland. . .

Shortly after their meals arrived, writes Braun, a man who identified himself as the manager came to the table and stated that he had “received a noise complaint” about Braun’s 4-year-old son.

My son Killian was born with a neurological disorder that affects his speech called Childhood Apraxia of Speech. This disorder affects Killian in many ways especially communication and behavioral. He is a very energetic kid with much to say, however, when he speaks, his words are unclear.

Despite noting that he felt uneasy with his role in the situation, the manager reportedly asked the family to complete their dinner and leave the restaurant. He then offered them a $20 gift card “as an apology,” according to Braun, who added that she won’t return as she doesn’t want to “subject [her] son and the rest of [her] family to that type of discrimination.” . . .

Speaking with local ABC affiliate WJLA, Braun said that she’s no longer angry, but sad about the way her son will be treated going forward: “The anger has subsided and I’m left with sadness for my son and his future struggles of being in public.” (Read more from “Family Allegedly Asked to Leave Outback Steakhouse After Receiving Noise Complaint About Disabled Son” HERE)

Mayor Calls LGBTQ Rights Movement ‘an Affront to Almighty God’

A New Jersey mayor called the LGBTQ rights movement “an affront to almighty God” at a town council meeting and warned that people who support “unrighteous laws” will be held accountable.

Barnegat Township Mayor Alfonso Cirulli, a former assistant principal, began Tuesday by condemning a state law that requires LGBTQ-inclusive material be taught in public school. He said the law “crossed over the line into absurdity” and politicians “have no right to promote the LGBT agenda.”

He said, “There is no hate or bigotry intended here,” and that his comments did not represent the Barnegat Township Committee. Barnegat Township’s legislative body is called a committee. The town of about 20,000 is on New Jersey’s south shore. . .

In January, New Jersey followed California to become the second state in the country to require that public schools teach LGBTQ- and disability-inclusive curricula. (Read more from “New Jersey Mayor Calls LGBTQ Rights Movement ‘an Affront to Almighty God'” HERE)

Good Guy With a Gun Appears to Have Stopped a Would-Be Mass Shooter at a Missouri Walmart

With the recent mass shooting at a Walmart in El Paso, Texas that left 20+ people dead and scores more wounded, there’s nothing more startling to the public, and especially the police, than an armed man armed with a rifle in the vicinity of…a Walmart. That’s what happened in Springfield, Missouri. Seeing that there are only two reasons for someone to do this: it was either poor judgment, in which the person of interest should know better given recent headlines or this was a planned attack that was stopped by law enforcement. We don’t know what the intent was, but Springfield police said this guy is lucky to be alive and “his intent was not to cause peace or comfort to anybody that was in the business.”

A photo of the suspect shows him armed with what appears to be an AR-15 rifle or some variant of it. He remains in police custody. An off-duty fireman with a concealed carry permit was credited with stopping the suspect, holding him at gunpoint until police arrived. So, a good guy with a gun stopped a possible attack, but I’m sure the anti-gun wingnuts will keep their heads in the sand (via KOLR 10):

According to Lt. Lucas, an off duty fireman who was at the Walmart is to thank in some part for the young man’s arrest.

For now, investigators will review both the Walmart security footage and the armed 20-year-old’s social media profiles.

Lucas says there may have been a Facebook live posted by the man. Officers plan to watch the video and learn his intentions.

Ivy League Economist Interrogated by American Airlines for Being Smart

On Thursday evening, a 40-year-old man — with dark, curly hair, olive skin and an exotic foreign accent — boarded a plane. It was a regional jet making a short, uneventful hop from Philadelphia to nearby Syracuse. . .

The curly-haired man tried to keep to himself, intently if inscrutably scribbling on a notepad he’d brought aboard. His seatmate, a blond-haired, 30-something woman sporting flip-flops and a red tote bag, looked him over. He was wearing navy Diesel jeans and a red Lacoste sweater – a look he would later describe as “simple elegance” – but something about him didn’t seem right to her. . .

That Something she’d seen had been her seatmate’s cryptic notes, scrawled in a script she didn’t recognize. Maybe it was code, or some foreign lettering, possibly the details of a plot to destroy the dozens of innocent lives aboard American Airlines Flight 3950. She may have felt it her duty to alert the authorities just to be safe. The curly-haired man was, the agent informed him politely, suspected of terrorism. . .

Had the crew or security members perhaps quickly googled this good-natured, bespectacled passenger before waylaying everyone for several hours, they might have learned that he — Guido Menzio — is a young but decorated Ivy League economist. And that he’s best known for his relatively technical work on search theory, which helped earn him a tenured associate professorship at the University of Pennsylvania as well as stints at Princeton and Stanford’s Hoover Institution.

They might even have discovered that last year he was awarded the prestigious Carlo Alberto Medal, given to the best Italian economist under 40. That’s right: He’s Italian, not Middle Eastern, or whatever heritage usually gets ethnically profiled on flights these days. Only Liberals Do This: Mom Might Cut off Her Kids’ Contact With In-Laws Because They Support Trump

. . .There’s a disturbing number of families that are nuking their relationships over politics, despite the fact that Republicans and Democrats have been elected and re-elected president of the United States for years. The point is, I’m sure a lot of people were disappointed with either of those outcomes in the long list of elections we’ve had—and yet, I don’t remember hearing families going berserk over George W. Bush winning—twice.

Deep down, yes, there’s more that unites us as a country, but it’s the Left who is just unwilling to discuss that. They want a divorce. And in an era where Left and Right don’t understand one another, I guess that’s where it can become easier to sever ties with your family members over a political disagreement. Let’s take this Huffington Post guest writer who says that her uber-Catholic, pro-Trump in-laws might cause her to cut her kids’ ties with their grandparents (via Huffington Post):

. . .Actually, it isn’t just racism that muddies the water in my relationship with my in-laws. It’s sexism and homophobia, too. Sometimes, it’s even veiled anti-Semitism. (Note to non-Jews everywhere: Telling a Jewish person how much you love Jewish people is, on its face, a message of marginalization.) My father-in-law once had to leave the room when two men kissed on TV. “Disgusting,” he whispered under his breath, within earshot of my son.

[…]

Their hatred is expanding, and it’s expanding quickly. These days, it manifests itself through conspiracy theories about Jeffrey Epstein and the Clintons, antifa and Black Lives Matter. My in-laws oppose abortion in any and all circumstances, but they appear unbothered by the idea of migrant kids in cages at the country’s border. The media sources they ingest, of course, are intentionally dishonest, and our conversations with them reveal a view of the world that’s disturbingly removed from reality.

[…]

My own family, who long ago branded me a hothead, advised me to do no more than limit the contact my children have with their grandparents. How much damage could be done in small doses? they posited. That’s not really a solution, of course; it’s more or less a way of continuing to avoid the problem. Our friends have been mostly noncommittal. Mostly people shake their heads sympathetically or pat my shoulder. They don’t know what to say. What advice would I give to someone else, after all? What advice would I offer myself? Would it be to cut all ties? And how does one even go about doing that?

EXPLOSIVE CLAIM: Boy Scouts of America Have a ‘Pedophile Epidemic’ and Are Hiding Hundreds in Its Ranks

The Boy Scouts of America are continuing to cover-up a “pedophilia epidemic within their organization,” a group of lawyers alleged Tuesday in a new lawsuit.

The Abused in Scouting lawyers said they’ve identified 350 previously unknown scoutmasters and volunteers who allegedly preyed on boys — and whose names were not known to law enforcement or in the BSA’s internal database, which critics have called “perversion files.”

“You can’t look at these files and not come to the conclusion that this was a massive problem that was hidden,” attorney Tim Kosnoff said at a press conference.

“We know that when a pedophile abuses a victim, it’s not just one,” added attorney Stewart Eisenberg. “So each of the 350 abusers have dozens of other victims who have not come forward.”

The revelation that the lawyers had identified a small army who they claim are previously unknown scout sex abusers was contained in the lawsuit filed Monday in Philadelphia by a Pennsylvania man identified only as “S.D.” who claims he was assaulted “hundreds” of times over a span of four years in the 1970s. Three Charged After Aunt Allegedly Forced Teen to Drink Turpentine to Abort Baby

Three people in West Virginia have been charged in the case of a sexually abused teen whose aunt allegedly forced her to drink turpentine in an attempt to abort her unborn baby.

The 15-year-old girl was hospitalized and is now in the care of the state says a state police criminal complaint, reported by the Associated Press.

The complaint states the girl was living with her mother and Daniel Atwell, 24, whom the mother reportedly gave permission to have sex with her minor daughter.

When the girl became pregnant, the mother reportedly gave her daughter a morning-after abortion pill, but the drug did not terminate the pregnancy.

The girl said her aunt, Sherry Kirk, then forced her to drink turpentine to attempt an abortion. (Read more from “Three Charged After Aunt Allegedly Forced Teen to Drink Turpentine to Abort Baby” HERE)

Here’s How America’s Heroes Were Honored Around the Country on Purple Heart Day 2019

August 7 marks the anniversary of George Washington’s creation of the “Badge for Military Merit.” On that day in 1782, General Washington gave out the following order:

The General ever desirous to cherish a virtuous ambition in his soldiers, as well as to foster and encourage every species of Military Merit, directs that whenever any singularly meritorious action is performed, the author of it shall be permitted to wear…over his left breast, the figure of a heart in purple cloth…Not only instances of unusual gallantry but also of extraordinary fidelity and essential service…shall be met with a due award.

According to the National Museum of the United States Army, three noncommissioned officers were then given the new award: Sergeant Daniel Bissell for spying on British troops; Sergeant William Brown for his service at Yorktown; and Sergeant Elijah Churchill for actions during two raids against British positions on Long Island.

While those three were the only recipients of the initial award, the badge was revived 150 years later in 1932 by General Douglas MacArthur.

In 1944, the qualifications were updated to make the award solely for those wounded or killed in battle.

Some local governments, like Jacksonville, Florida, and Henderson, Nevada, held ceremonies to honor the heroic recipients of the hallowed medal. A chapter of Military Order of the Purple Heart gave $50,000 to local veterans organizations in the Tuscon, Arizona, area. A bank in Killeen, Texas, held held a luncheon as a thank-you. Purple Heart recipients also gathered at Monument Terrace in Lynchburg, Virginia, for a wreath-laying ceremony.

Several public officials also voiced their gratitude to the country’s Purple Heart recipients.

Mass Shooting Averted After Grandma Intervenes

Law enforcement always says, “If you see something, say something,” but so often with mass murderers, it always seems that nobody said anything despite the warning signs being there. One Texas grandmother, however, is being hailed by authorities as a hero after she convinced her grandson to seek mental help and turn himself in to police after he made threats that he was going to shoot up a nearby hotel and then commit suicide.

Federal authorities arrested William P. Williams of Lubbock, Texas last Thursday after authorities searched his hotel room where he had planned to kill countless innocents. According to Breaking911.com, “Officers found an AK-47 rifle, seventeen magazines loaded with ammunition, multiple knives, a black trench coat, black tactical pants, a black t-shirt that read ‘Let ‘Em Come,’ and black tactical gloves with the fingers cut off.”

The feds confiscated the weapon and placed Williams in custody, but were only made aware of the threat after his grandmother encouraged him to allow her to bring him to a local hospital for psych treatment following his comments that he intended on attacking the hotel.

“This was a tragedy averted,” U.S. Attorney Nealy Cox told media. “I want to praise the defendant’s grandmother, who saved lives by interrupting this plot, as well as the Lubbock police officers and federal agents who investigated his unlawful acquisition of a deadly weapon. If you suspect a friend or loved one is planning violence against themselves or others, do not hesitate to seek help immediately by calling law enforcement.” (Read more from “Mass Shooting Averted After Grandma Intervenes” HERE)
