Planned Parenthood Sues State Over New Abortion Reporting Requirements

Planned Parenthood of the Great Northwest and the Hawaiian Islands (PPGNHI) filed a lawsuit Tuesday against Idaho’s Abortion Complications Reporting Act which went into effect July 1st.

The legislation details 37 abortion complications that must be reported to the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare including infection, blood clots, and hemorrhaging. The bill also requires that any psychological conditions following an abortion be reported such as depression, anxiety, and sleeping disorders.

It mandates that abortion providers report the number of times their patients have had past abortions and other information about the patients including age, race, and number of children.

The law argues that “to facilitate reliable scientific studies and research on the safety and efficacy of abortion, it is essential that the medical and public health communities have access to accurate information both on the abortion procedure and on complications resulting from abortion.” . . .

“The law violates constitutional guarantees of due process and equal protection by arbitrarily singling out one particular medical procedure and requiring invasive reporting that has nothing to do with protecting patient health care,” according to Planned Parenthood. “Providers will now face potential criminal and civil penalties and professional discipline, which could result in the loss of their medical license, for non-compliance with these unconstitutional, vague and overreaching reporting requirements. Furthermore, the information gathered by these requirements is not protected from disclosure, putting patient and provider privacy at risk.” (Read more from “Planned Parenthood Sues State Over New Abortion Reporting Requirements” HERE)

NFL Player Saves Man From Car Wreck in Dramatic Fashion: ‘I Prayed With Him’

On Sunday, a 25-year-old NFL player physically ripped a car door off its hinges in order to save a man pinned down inside the vehicle after a bizarre accident.

New Orleans Saints defensive lineman Mitchell Loewen was eating brunch at a local cafe with his wife and toddler when they heard a loud crash. The vehicle, a Mercedes Benz SUV, apparently crashed through a concrete barrier on the fourth floor of a New Orleans parking garage and fell onto the street, roof-side down, reports The Times-Picayune.

Loewen and other Good Samaritans rushed to help flip the car over and noticed that the victim, a man in his mid-20s whose name has yet to be released, was trapped inside with his legs pinned down.

After it was confirmed that the man was still conscious, Loewen “wrenched open the door from the outside, ripping it off its hinges, and leaned into the car to speak with the man,” reports the outlet.

“He didn’t say much, he was just thanking us all,” said the New Orleans Saint. “I hugged him and told him he was going to be OK, and then I prayed with him. I couldn’t tell how bad his injuries were, but there was a lot of blood and broken glass.” (Read more from “NFL Player Saves Man From Car Wreck in Dramatic Fashion: ‘I Prayed With Him’” HERE)

Baby Dies From Overdose, Drug Addict Mother’s Breast Milk to Blame

A 30-year-old woman with a painkiller addiction has been accused of killing her 11-week-old son with a lethal mix of drugs in her breast milk.

Samantha Jones was charged Friday with criminal homicide in the April 2 death of her baby.

An autopsy found the baby died from a combination of methadone, amphetamine and methamphetamine, the Bucks County District Attorney’s office said in a statement.

According to an affidavit, Jones told police she’d been too tired to make the baby a bottle when he awoke crying at 3 a.m. and instead breastfed him.

A few hours later, the baby was pale and had bloody mucus coming from his nose, she told police.

Jones’s mother began CPR at the instruction of a dispatcher after they called 911, the affidavit said.

Police arrived at the home in New Britain, about 35 miles north of Philadelphia, to find the baby in cardiac arrest.

He was taken by ambulance to a hospital, where he died.

The affidavit stated that Jones said she primarily had been breastfeeding the baby, but switched to formula a few days before the baby’s death, saying the infant wasn’t getting enough milk.

Jones told police that she had been prescribed methadone because of an addiction to painkillers, that she had taken it during her pregnancy, and that she was taking it at the time of the baby’s death, the affidavit said.

A message seeking comment from her lawyer, Louis Busico, wasn’t returned Monday.

Other parents have faced charges over drug-laced breastmilk in recent years.

In 2016, two former Arizona TV news reporters were sentenced to a year of probation and suspended 30-day jail terms after cocaine was found in their baby’s system.

And in 2012, a California woman whose infant son died after ingesting methamphetamine-laced breast milk was sentenced to six years in prison. (For more from the author of “Baby Dies From Overdose, Drug Addict Mother’s Breast Milk to Blame” please click HERE)

Judge Halts Deportations of Reunited Illegal Alien Families

By ABC News. A federal judge on Monday ordered a temporary halt to deportations of immigrant families reunited after being separated at the border, as the Trump administration races to meet a July 26 deadline for putting more than 2,500 children back in their parents’ arms.

U.S. District Judge Dana Sabraw imposed a delay of at least a week after a request from the American Civil Liberties Union, which cited “persistent and increasing rumors … that mass deportations may be carried out imminently and immediately upon reunification.” . . .

The ACLU requested that parents have at least one week to decide whether to pursue asylum in the U.S. after they are reunited with their children. The judge held off on deciding that issue until the government outlines its objections in writing by next Monday. . .

The hearing in San Diego occurred as the government accelerated reunifications at eight unidentified U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement locations. The families are scattered around the country, the adults at immigration detention centers, the children at shelters overseen by the government.

Annunciation House, a shelter in El Paso, said the government has begun transporting children in a “tremendous amount of airline flights” to El Paso and elsewhere. Director Ruben Garcia said he is preparing to take in as many as 100 reunified families a day. (Read more from “Judge Halts Deportations of Reunited Illegal Alien Families” HERE)

40 Percent Vacancy: Feds Release Illegal Alien Families Instead of Filling Detention Centers

By Washington Times. The government pays for thousands of detention beds for illegal immigrant families, but nearly 40 percent of them were sitting unused in late June, even as the Department of Homeland Security was rushing to release parents and children into communities.

The empty beds were revealed in court documents late last month. Lawyers who monitor U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s facilities said two major facilities were running well below capacity.

ICE’s biggest facility in Dilley, Texas, can hold 2,400 parents and children — but on June 27 and 28 it was at just 63 percent capacity, with 886 beds empty, the detainee logs showed.

Although the beds were empty, the government was still paying for them. (Read more from “40 Percent Vacancy: Feds Release Illegal Alien Families Instead of Filling Detention Centers” HERE)

Explosive Anthony Bourdain Interview Released After Suicide: Unloads on Clintons, Obama

In an interview published in Popula magazine weeks after he tragically hung himself in a hotel room, celebrity chef Anthony Bourdain spoke frankly about a wide range of topics and people, including the “entitled, rapey, gropey, grabby, disgusting” Bill Clinton, his enabler wife Hillary, and the disappointing Barack Obama. He also described how he imagined the death of Harvey Weinstein, whom Bourdain’s girlfriend has accused of sexually assaulting her.

Though Bourdain’s interview with journalist Maria Bustillos took place back in February, Bustillos finally published it on Sunday. Its content is not for the faint of heart, as Bourdain clearly felt free to be raw about some hot-button issues and famous people in his free-wheeling two-and-half-hour conversation with the journalist, a conversation that took place fittingly in one of his favorite Irish pubs.

“He talked about #MeToo and the powerful forces of evil arrayed against decent people, about Rose McGowan, about raising daughters, about the sexual mores of the 1970s,” writes Bustillos. “He told me how he imagined the death of Harvey Weinstein, a hilarious, weirdly specific fantasy that I’ll share with you in a moment. We talked about luxury, too.”

Below are some of the quotes that are making headlines, first his opinion on his “disappointment” with Hillary over her Harvey Weinstein statement:

Bourdain: [W]atching the Clinton apology on Weinstein, and [Asia’s] watching this statement, there was a lot of anticipation. People were really hoping she’d come out with a… I don’t know. Let’s just say with something different. I immediately tweeted my disappointment, very much shaped by what I saw around me. And I will tell you, that was really f***ing frightening, the reaction to that. You know, I voted for her.

‘Worse Than Gymnastics’: Lawsuit Makes Explosive Sex Abuse Allegations Involving USA Diving

By The Blaze. Two former USA Diving athletes have sued the sport’s national governing body, claiming the organization failed to act when the athletes accused a former coach of coercing and forcing them into frequent sex, according to the Indianapolis Star.

The lawsuit focuses on coach Will Bohonyi, who formerly coached at Ohio State University and competed at Indiana University. One of the plaintiffs is a former Ohio State diver, and the other is a former Indiana University diver.

The Ohio State University diving club describes itself as the “second highest ranking junior competitive USA Diving team in the United States,” and the school is named as a defendant in the lawsuit along with Bohonyi and USA Diving.

“Bohonyi psychologically coerced (the woman) into believing that she was required to perform sexual services in exchange for her continued involvement in diving,” the lawsuit read. “He preyed on her age, vulnerability, and dreams of becoming an Olympian, and used the power structure and imbalance of power (coach/athlete) to make her believe she was required to sexually service him in exchange for her involvement in diving for Team USA.” . . .

According to the lawsuit, Bohonyi allegedly began coercing the former Indiana diver into daily sex in 2009 by telling her she owed him in exchange for helping her achieve her athletic goals. ‘You Owe Me This’: USA Diving Accused of Ignoring Alleged Sexual Abuse of Divers

By USA Today. A class action lawsuit against Indianapolis-based USA Diving accuses the national governing body of ignoring or obstructing sexual abuse allegations, and the lawyer says the organization is “worse than gymnastics, worse than swimming.”

USA Gymnastics has been in turmoil since an IndyStar investigation that started in 2016. . .

Attorney Jon Little said in an interview with IndyStar that other divers have come forward and “this is just the beginning for USA Diving.”

A spokeswoman for USA Diving said in a statement Monday, “Providing a safe environment for our members is of tremendous importance to USA Diving, and we take these matters very seriously. USA Diving is unable to comment further at this time.” . . .

During a meet in August 2014 in Knoxville, Tenn., the girl’s teammate informed the head coach of the Ohio State Diving Club about the abuse, the lawsuit alleges. The girl, who had just turned 17, was sent home. Bohonyi stayed. (Read more from “‘You Owe Me This’: USA Diving Accused of Ignoring Alleged Sexual Abuse of Divers” HERE)

Country Might Drop Psychiatric Requirements for Transgender Individuals Seeking Hormone Therapy

Ireland is considering letting transgender persons receive hormone therapy without undergoing any kind of psychiatric evaluation by a medical professional as is currently required under Irish law.

Ireland’s Minister for Health Simon Harris will meet with transgender activists in August and September to determine if it might be appropriate to abandon the current regulations around access to hormone therapy to help transgender individuals transition from their biological sex to the sex of their choice, The Times reported.

The consideration comes after the World Health Organization (WHO) ruled on June 19 that gender dysphoria is no longer a mental condition. . .

Four out of 10 transgender Americans have attempted suicide, according to a 2015 poll by the National Center for Transgender Equality. That rate is nearly nine times greater than the suicide rate among all Americans, according to the poll.

Biological males undergoing hormone therapy to become female have a much higher risk for blood clots than biological men and women, a Tuesday study from the Annals of Internal Medicine found. The study also shows that males who transition to become female don’t experience any of the benefits bestowed upon biological females, like a lower risk for heart disease. Uber Drivers Starting ‘The Resistance’ – Here’s How One Treated GOP Volunteers

Six Republican campaign volunteers say they were kicked out of an Uber on Saturday as their driver told them “welcome to the resistance.”

The six volunteers were told halfway to their destination in Raleigh, North Carolina, to exit the vehicle at a gas station because the driver “had the right to deny us service,” Mary Russell, one of the riders in the Uber told The Daily Caller News Foundation. The six riders exited the car and were told “welcome to the resistance” as the driver drove away.

“It was clear based on our mild conservative political talk that the driver realized we were Republicans,” Russell, who was the rider who ordered the Uber, told The DCNF. After the incident, she received a message from Uber saying that she was inappropriate towards her driver.

“I reviewed the relevant policy of Uber and we did not use ‘inappropriate and abusive language or gestures’ that would result in the early termination of a ride,” Russell said. “This type of discrimination against politically oriented conservatives should be against the policy of Uber.” Russell said the group then requested another ride, and experienced no problems with that driver. . .

“For an individual to blatantly target Young Republicans for their political outlook is an assault on the freedoms guaranteed by the First Amendment. While business owners should have the freedom to provide the service as the see fit, once a contract has been entered, breaking that contract is inappropriate and to do so based on discrimination for political beliefs is unlawful,” he told The DCNF. Men Linked to Mexican Drug Cartel Behead 13-Year-Old Special Needs Girl, Murder Grandmother

Two men loosely associated with a brutal Mexican cartel, one of whom is an illegal immigrant, are responsible for beheading a 13-year-old girl with special needs and murdering her grandmother, Alabama law enforcement allege. . .

Authorities say Yoni Aguilar and Israel Gonzalez Palomino murdered Oralia Mendoza and her granddaughter, Mariah Lopez, because they didn’t trust Mendoza after she exhibited suspicious activity during a recent drug running trip to a small town in northeast Atlanta.

Authorities say the group ran drugs for the Sinaloa Cartel, the largest organized crime syndicate in the world. Police say it was Mendoza who had deep connections to the cartel.

According to AL.com, authorities believe something went wrong during their trip, spurring Palomino to believe he was being setup. Upon returning to Huntsville, Palomino discovered Mendoza had removed the SIM card from her cellphone. He also discovered text messages to an unknown woman during the drug run. Police say Mendoza texted a woman asking her to secure Lopez, who was staying with Palomino’s wife, because she feared for their lives, WAAY-TV reported.

After discovering the messages, Aguilar and Palomino allegedly awoke Mendoza in the middle of the night on June 4. They told her they were taking her and Lopez to a safe location. (Read more from “Men Linked to Mexican Drug Cartel Behead 13-Year-Old Special Needs Girl, Murder Grandmother” HERE)

Trans Bathrooms Are All About Discrimination

. . .I believe in and fight for the civil rights of all people. The current law regarding bathrooms in Massachusetts, which allows transgender people to use opposite-sex private facilities, is not a matter of civil rights. It’s a matter of unspeakable oppression against females. Few will be encouraged to consider this reality as the people of Massachusetts gear up to vote to restore privacy rights and common sense this November.

Mainstream media outlets will continue to frame the issue as one of bigotry, and will shame those with the audacity to say what we all know is true. It’s time to loudly declare that the emperor has no clothes. A person may wear what clothing that person prefers. A person can say that she or he is whatever. Such a person ought to not experience discrimination.

But I ought not to be expected to believe that by some magic and lots of surgeries and chemicals that a man can be a woman and a woman a man. I, and all woman and children, should not have to put up with the shenanigans of those who insist that biology is “a social construct” but gender “is innate in a person” when the exact opposite is true.

Children should not be experimented upon by infusing them with puberty blockers to keep them from growing up. Children should not be operated upon and have body parts removed because they “feel” they are something other than what they are, should not be subjected to a lifetime of ill health because of Big Pharma’s chemicals. . .

Women should not be forbidden to use the correct terms for their bodies and bodily functions because such terms are “transphobic.” Transgender activists’ erasure of women is horrifying. Women . . . should not be told they are haters if they refuse to sleep with males who identify as trans. Women and children should not be forced to deal with males in their spaces, whether it be locker rooms or bathrooms. (Read more from “Trans Bathrooms Are All About Discrimination” HERE)
