By The Blaze. . .Christina Nichols answered a knock at her front door Tuesday when the teens took her off guard. . .

Two of them held Nichols back while a third aimed a gun at her husband. Nichols, who has been married for more than 50 years, told the TV station she was not prepared to live without her husband. That’s when her fighting instincts took over.

Nichols, who is in her 70s, stomped on the boy who was holding her and bent his thumbs back.

“He dragged me out into this hallway and then he gave me a big shove and I went down,” she told the TV station.

Nichols yelled out to her grandson, who was in another room. But the teens ran out of the home before he could get to them, according to the report. One Perfect Tweet Captures Why Americans Don’t Like National Anthem Protests

With all the rapid-fire controversy surrounding the NFL and the national anthem protests, people might lose sight of why protesting the national anthem is so upsetting to Americans in the first place.

Today, on the anniversary of the D-Day invasion of Normandy during World War II, veteran Navy Seal and New York Times bestselling author Robert J. O’Neill reminded everyone “why we don’t like kneeling.”

The sacrifice of generations of American soldiers of all colors, faiths, and national heritage who died to defend their families and their country is profaned by protesting the national anthem.

And that’s why people get upset. (For more from the author of “One Perfect Tweet Captures Why Americans Don’t Like National Anthem Protests” please click HERE)

Kathy Griffin Launches Vile Attack on Ivanka Over Kate Spade’s Suicide

. . .Washed-up “entertainer” Kathy Griffin is best known to the American public for the incredibly distasteful picture she posted of herself last year holding a mock severed head representing President Donald Trump . . .

But Griffin’s own attack on Ivanka this week – in response to the first daughter’s thoughtful Twitter post on the suicide of fashion designer Kate Spade — was beyond the bounds of rational behavior. Even for a nut job like Griffin, it was way too far. . .

Any suicide is tragic, of course, but Spade’s was particularly noteworthy. Starting out as a journalist in the fashion world, she had made an international name for herself by founding a hugely popular fashion line that centered on women’s handbags but included a range of fashion products, according to Biography.com.

As word of the death spread, Ivanka Trump – who has built her own brand of success in the fashion world — took to Twitter to express her sadness, and urge any readers who might be in danger of harming themselves to seek help. . .

That’s about as unobjectionable a tweet as has even been posted. But for a borderline-lunatic like Griffin, it was a red flag to charge.

It Spreads: Libraries Push Cross-Dressing on Kids

. . .Last year, the Michelle Obama Neighborhood Library in Long Beach, California, a public facility, presented to children in its young readers program a huge array of diversity and “inclusion” programs, including a visit by a drag queen named Xochi Mochi.

Mochi’s visit took place during the “Drag Queen Story Hour,” a collaboration between the Long Beach Public Library, the LGBTQ Center of Long Beach, the Genders and Sexualities Alliance Network and the LGBTQ nonprofit Imperial Court of Long Beach, according to the Long Beach Public Library’s calendar.

Now, Jon Miltimore at the Intellectual Takeout reports the St. Paul Public Library in Minnesota will host “Drag Story Hours.” . . .

Chad Kampe, who organizes “queer-friendly events” in Minnesota, explained: “Drag pushes people to break boundaries and explore creativity. At a very young age, we are taught to embrace our differences. Drag not only provides an opportunity to embrace who we are, it allows for us to broadcast and share who we are with the world.”

The library says it will livestream its three scheduled events, this month and next. The events will feature story-reading, songs and two activists who will “strut their stuff for an over-the-top story hour.” (Read more from “It Spreads: Libraries Push Cross-Dressing on Kids” HERE)

3 Months to Live? Experimental Treatment Cures Cancer Patient

By The New York Post. Two and a half years ago, doctors told a Florida woman battling breast cancer that she had just three months to live.

Judy Perkins, 52, of Port Lucie, is now cancer free thanks to an experimental treatment that harnessed billions of her own immune cells, reported the BBC.

Perkins had a mastectomy and all her lymph nodes removed and went through chemotherapy and hormonal therapy. When all those methods failed to halt the spread of cancer to her chest and liver, she was sure she was going to die — that is, until she met Dr. Steven Rosenberg at the National Institutes of Health.

Rosenberg studied Perkins’ immune cells, finding those white blood cells capable of detecting genetic mutations and fighting cancer. Scientists then extracted those cells and grew them in a lab before injecting her with 90 billion of them.

“I think it had been maybe 10 days since I’d gotten the cells, and I could already feel that tumor starting to get soft,” Perkins told CBS. “By then I was like, ‘Dang, this is really working.’” (Read more from “3 Months to Live? Experimental Treatment Cures Cancer Patient” HERE)

‘Remarkable’ Therapy Beats Terminal Breast Cancer

By BBC. It involved pumping 90 billion cancer-killing immune cells into her body.

Judy Perkins had been given three months to live, but two years later there is no sign of cancer in her body.

The team at the US National Cancer Institute says the therapy is still experimental, but could transform the treatment of all cancer.

Judy – who lives in Florida – had spreading, advanced breast cancer that could not be treated with conventional therapy.

She had tennis ball-sized tumours in her liver and secondary cancers throughout her body. (Read more from “‘Remarkable’ Therapy Beats Terminal Breast Cancer” HERE)

Doctor Hit With Malpractice Suits After Filming Herself Doing This During Surgeries

Georgia licensing laws are being questioned after a number of suits were filed against suburban Atlanta Dr. Windell Davis Boutte´, who is accused of botching surgeries conducted without the proper credentials. But her promotional videos have helped draw more attention to the cases against her. . .

Attorney Susan Witt says nearly 100 women have reached out to her office to inquire about representation in malpractice lawsuits against Boutte´, after news hit that Witt was serving as counsel to three former patients of the physician. . .

Under Georgia law, any doctor with a medical license is allowed to conduct surgeries. Dr. Boutte´ is a dermatologist, and is not board certified in surgery. . .

Boutte´ made a number of promotional videos on YouTube (which have now been removed), showing her dancing to rap music over the nude bodies of patients during surgery.

Roughly 20 videos were previously displayed, where Boutte´ and her surgery staff danced to hits like “Brick House” and most notably, she cut open a patient’s abdomen while singing along with an O.T. Genasis song, “Cut It,” to the tune of the beat. (Read more from “Doctor Hit With Malpractice Suits After Filming Herself Doing This During Surgeries” HERE)

Kid Claims White Supremacists Beat Him, Held Him at Gunpoint. Then Cops Take a Closer Look.

By The Blaze. Zavion Parker, 13, claimed he was grabbed by white supremacists — an adult and four younger males — after stepping off his school bus one day last month, after which he said they robbed, beat and held him at gunpoint at a property until he was able to escape.

And Parker said it was all because of his race. . .

But following a thorough investigation, Houston police are saying there’s no evidence to support the teen’s claims, KTRK-TV reported.

Police told the station the events as described did not occur and that the property Parker described had nothing to do with any crime.

Investigators have met with Parker’s mother, Michelle Lee, and community activists to tell them their findings, KTRK reported. (Read more from “Kid Claims White Supremacists Beat Him, Held Him at Gunpoint. Then Cops Take a Closer Look.” HERE)

Houston Police: Teen’s Story About Being Abducted by White Supremacists Wasn’t True

By ABC 13. . .We first brought you this story last month when 13-year-old Zavion Parker claimed he was grabbed by an adult and four young men after stepping off his school bus.

Zavion alleges he was robbed and beaten, all because of his race. He also said he was held at a property at gunpoint until he was able to escape.

Michelle Lee, the teen’s mother, told Eyewitness News her son managed to escape the gun-wielding kidnappers.

“The reason why they got him was because they said he was black. ‘You deserve to die.’ Exactly his words,” Lee told ABC13 in May. “Saying the dad had, like, a white muscle shirt on, and you could see it, was right here big as day. ‘I hate black people.'”

But after a thorough investigation, the Houston Police Department now says the events as described did not occur, that the property Parker described had nothing to do with any crime. (Read more from “Houston Police: Teen’s Story About Being Abducted by White Supremacists Wasn’t True” HERE)

Franklin Graham: ‘There’s an Agenda’ to ‘Lure’ Children ‘Into Promiscuity’

Evangelist Franklin Graham is continuing his condemnation of sexually graphic sex education curricula in public schools, urging parents to take action against states that are trying to “lure” children “into promiscuity.”

Graham specifically addressed the concerns of parents in the San Diego Unified School District (SDUSD) in California who removed their children from school last week to protest a sex ed curriculum that teaches anal, oral and vaginal sex, and mutual masturbation to children as young as 11 years old.

“There’s an agenda in California and every other state to target the minds and hearts of children,” Graham posted to his Facebook account. “The agenda is to lure them into promiscuity and condition their minds to accept lifestyles that are against the teaching of God’s Word.” . . .

“Using smutty language and imagery to taint the minds of elementary school children—or any age students for that matter— is wrong,” the Christian leader wrote. “Teaching 6th graders about sexual pleasure and how to go to websites to learn to ‘ask for consent in a sexy way’ should not be happening.” . . .

“It’s also imperative that Christians vote in every election for candidates who support biblical principles, including the legislators who make these laws,” he urged. “I hope that every pastor will encourage the members of their congregation to let the Christian voice be heard in the elections. Let’s be salt and light as Jesus commanded and make a difference for our children and grandchildren!” (Read more from “Franklin Graham: ‘There’s an Agenda’ to ‘Lure’ Children ‘Into Promiscuity’” HERE)

Democratic Congressional Candidate Is in Deep Trouble for Some of Her Claims

In her campaign for Congress in Alabama, Adia McClellan Winfrey has repeatedly referred to herself as a clinical psychologist. On Twitter, in interviews, on her campaign website, on her LinkedIn page and in speeches in front of Democratic Party groups, she has spoken of her experience as a clinical psychologist (and often as a “pioneering psychologist”) and held it up as a key reason that voters in Alabama’s 3rd Congressional District should vote for her in the Democratic primary Tuesday.

But Winfrey has never been licensed as a psychologist in any state that she’s lived in, including Wisconsin, Ohio, Georgia and Alabama. In each of those states, a person representing themselves to the public as a psychologist must be licensed by a state board. If they aren’t licensed, they are violating the law.

Winfrey received a doctorate in psychology in 2008 from Wright State University in Ohio. HuffPost confirmed her doctorate through a third-party service authorized by Wright State to verify the education of its graduates.

Winfrey, who refers to herself as Dr. Dia, created a curriculum that involves something she calls hip-hop therapy. Winfrey would visit troubled youth in group homes and essentially offered group therapy along with hip-hop music to help the youth open up.

In a phone conversation, Winfrey confirmed that she has never been licensed as a psychologist in any state that she’s lived and worked in since attaining her degree. (Read more from “Democratic Congressional Candidate Is in Deep Trouble for Some of Her Claims” HERE)

Numerous Male Officers Accuse Female Sheriff of Sexual Harassment

By The Daily Wire. Three male police officers from California have come forward to accuse the state’s first female sheriff of past acts of sexual harassment and retribution.

According to a report from ABC 7 News’ I-Team, two of the male accusers, who have revealed their identities, say they are not seeking any monetary compensation but merely want to have their stories heard and for the sheriff to be held accountable. The third accuser, a 30-year veteran officer, has remained anonymous out of fear of retribution against his children.

Santa Clara County Sheriff Laurie Smith, who was praised for breaking barriers for women as California’s first female sheriff, claims the accusations against her are fabricated. “It’s all false, absolutely false,” she told the news team.

Retired Sgt. Gary Brady says Smith sexually harassed him some 20 years ago and later retaliated against him when he spurned her advances. When Brady came forward to file a gender discrimination grievance with the county’s Equal Opportunity Department at the time of the alleged harassment, he says he was denied.

Both married at the time, Smith “undressed and she got on top of me and she wanted me to do some things that I’m embarrassed to talk about now,” recalls Brady of an alleged encounter in 1991. The officer says he cut the incident short and told her, “It’s time to go.” (Read more from “Numerous Male Officers Accuse Female Sheriff of Sexual Harassment” HERE)

First Female Sheriff in State Faces Complaints of Past Sexual Harassment

By ABC 7. She broke barriers as the first female sheriff in the state, and now Santa Clara County Sheriff Laurie Smith faces accusations of past sexual harassment. . .

Laurie Smith has had a long career at the Sheriff’s Department — 45 years. And tonight, three men are coming forward to claim that, as she climbed the ladder, she abused her position of power. . .

Through a spokesman, Sheriff Smith released a statement saying, “These false narratives are nothing more than an orchestrated attack on the integrity of the Sheriff’s Office and my personal reputation,” and she declined to be interviewed. So, Dan Noyes found her Wednesday evening outside a campaign event that she wound up not attending. . .

Albanoski has his own story saying that he was a deputy sheriff on lunch break at Elmwood Women’s Jail in the late ’80’s when Smith came onto him. “And she had her uniform shirt unbuttoned down to like the third button, not wearing a T-shirt, not wearing a bra, and kind of exposing herself to me,” he said. . .

The officers agreed to sign waivers, but the sheriff and her staff have not provided anything from the personnel files that would call into question the officers’ credibility. Albanoski and Brady tell us they have no plans to sue and are not after money, but they wanted their stories heard before this week’s election.
