Right to Life Australia has pulled out all stops to overturn the withdrawal of Troy Newman’s visa after he arrived in Australia early this morning. Since his arrival, Newman has been kept in a holding cell at Melbourne international airport.
Knowing that he had successfully boarded at Los Angeles and was on his way, one staff member even sacrificed her sleep to work throughout the night preparing documentation for a legal appeal the next morning, without knowing what change had enabled him to depart for Australia.
For Newman, getting through to Australia was surprisingly easy. Having been stopped at Denver, he had made his own way to Los Angeles on another airline. Once there, he boarded the aircraft of his original airline using the boarding passes still in his possession. “Nobody stopped him or questioned him or nothing when it came to boarding the plane,” according to Cheryl Sullenger from Operation Rescue.
United Airlines is facing a fine for allowing a passenger without a valid visa to travel to Australia. In an ironic twist, any fine applied would be against an airline that has been connected with supporting Planned Parenthood.
It has since been discovered that Newman’s notice of the withdrawal of his visa was sent to him via traditional postal mail to his United States address and not by email. (Read more from “American Pro-Life Leader Put Into Holding Cell After Landing in Australia, Here’s Why” HERE)

A California mom who says she was recently kicked out of a sporting goods store after alerting a manager that [a] man had frightened her young daughter in the women’s restroom is demanding answers – and a policy change – from the Washington-based chain.
The woman, who spoke to FoxNews.com but asked not to be identified, said she was shopping with her 12-year-old daughter and the girl’s younger friend when her daughter told her what had happened moments earlier at an REI sporting goods store during a shopping trip in late August.
“We started to drive to another store and she said to me, ‘Mom, I need to tell you something,’” said the woman. “I asked her what was wrong and she told me ‘A man used the bathroom while we were in there and it scared me.’”
When the mother turned the car around and went back to the store to confront the manager of the Santa Rosa store, she said she was stunned to learn that the man, who she said was not dressed in women’s clothes and did not appear outwardly to be transgender, had done nothing wrong in the eyes of the employees and other customers.
“I spoke with the manager and told her what happened,” the mother said. “She didn’t skip a beat. She told me that REI does not decide who people are or what they can do.” (Read more from “Calif. Mom Claims Retailer Booted Her for Complaining About Man in Girls’ Restroom” HERE)

A Massachusetts school superintendent is facing an investigation by police after he allegedly forced his way into a home Tuesday morning to search for proof a student enrolled in his district lived there.
Police in Mashpee told the Cape Cod Times they intend to probe claims that Brian Hyde, superintendent of the Mashpee school district, barged into a home without permission in an effort to determine whether 17-year-old Isabel King lived there. The incident followed district officials questioning of the girl’s eligibility to attend Mashpee High School, after her family had moved away for a year before returning.
Hyde demanded to “see if she lives here,” Marilyn King said, quoting the superintendent as also saying, “I need to see where is her bedroom. And I want to see the clothes.”
King and a nurse who was at the home on an insurance call said Hyde went upstairs and they could hear him opening and closing drawers. King told the paper she and her daughter moved to Florida last November after the mother got divorced, but had returned and been in the process of buying the home. She said she tried since late May to re-enroll her daughter, but was told she could not while they were living with a friend and purchasing the home.
Mashpee Police Chief Scott Carline told the newspaper he expected to begin an investigation soon. (Read more from “Massachusetts Schools Boss Faces Probe for Allegedly Barging Into Home on Residency Check” HERE)

By Randy DeSoto. The 20-year-old shooter responsible for taking the lives of 13 people on an Oregon college campus Thursday morning gave a cryptic warning online the night before.
The Sun reports that in a thread found on the online bulletin board 4CHan, the male killer told students not to go to the Umpqua Community College campus.
He wrote in the post: “Some of you guys are alright. don’t go into school tomorrow if you are in the northwest. Happening thread will be posted tomorrow morning. So long space robots.”
The gunman added another post to the site promising that “normies will pay for their misdeeds.” (Read more from “Revealed: The Chilling Message the Oregon Shooter Who Supposedly Singled Out Christians, Reportedly Posted Online Before the Attack” HERE)

Oregon Gunman Singled out Christians During Rampage
By Chris Perez. The gunman who opened fire at an Oregon community college was forcing people to stand up and state their religion before he began blasting away at them, survivors said Thursday.
A woman who claimed to have a grandmother inside a writing class in Snyder Hall, where a portion the massacre unfolded, described the scene in a tweet.
“The shooter was lining people up and asking if they were Christian,” she wrote. “If they said yes, then they were shot in the head. If they said no, or didn’t answer, they were shot in the legs. My grandma just got to my house, and she was in the room. She wasn’t shot, but she is very upset.
Hannah Miles, another Umpqua student, was also sitting in a class room next door and said she initially heard a pop that sounded like a yardstick slapping on a chalkboard when the shooting broke out.
She said that when her class heard the noise again, her teacher went to see if everything was all right. Minutes later, shots rang out repeatedly and they all fled, leaving their belongings behind. (Read more from “Oregon Gunman Singled out Christians During Rampage” HERE)

A woman from England lamented that fact that her mother died earlier this year before she ever got the chance to tell her she was pregnant. Now, she says something happened that’s giving her comfort and it all surrounds a recent ultrasound.
According to the Liverpool Echo, Rebecca Melia’s mother died in February after a battle with kidney cancer, but she believes she spotted her face in an ultrasound photo of her baby boy.
You can see what Melia thinks is her mother’s face to the left of the baby’s calf:
Before she went for an ultrasound in June, she said she was talking to a photograph of her mother, “saying I wish she was coming with me.”
“This is her 14th grandchild and she has been there for every one,” the 30-year-old mother-to-be told the Echo. (Read more from “Woman ‘Shocked’ to See an Image in Ultrasound Picture That Was Completely Unrelated to Her Baby” HERE)

Prosecutors declined to charge Caitlyn Jenner on Wednesday in a California car crash that led to the death of another driver, saying there was not enough evidence for a conviction.
Authorities said Jenner was towing an off-road vehicle on a trailer behind a Cadillac Escalade on Feb. 7 when he crashed into two cars, pushing one into oncoming traffic. Driver Kim Howe was killed when her Lexus was hit by a Hummer.
“We believed from the start that a thorough and objective investigation would clear Caitlyn of any criminal wrongdoing,” said Blair Berk, Jenner’s attorney. “We are heartened the district attorney has agreed that even a misdemeanor charge would be inappropriate. A traffic accident, however devastating and heartbreaking when a life is lost, is not necessarily a criminal matter.” (Read more from “Here’s the Outcome of ‘Caitlyn’ Jenner’s Fatal Car Crash” HERE)

A nonprofit civil rights organization is demanding a Hawaii Marine Corps base take down a religious themed sign and move it to the base’s chapel.
The sign, which says, “God bless the military, their families and the civilians who work with them”, was established on the base in response to the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
“This sign is a brazen violation of the No Establishment clause of the Constitution, as it sends the clear message that your installation gives preference to those who hold religious beliefs over those who do not, and those who prefer a monotheistic, intervening god over other deities or theologies,” Blake A. Page wrote in a letter to MCB Hawaii Commanding Officer Col. Sean C. Killeen . . .
Not only is the organization’s demands to remove the sign ridiculous, but it’s also incredibly ignorant. Chaplain Alliance for Religious Liberty, a Christian group of chaplain endorsers, called the MRFF’s [Military Religious Freedom Foundation’s] accusations as “unfounded.”
“Only someone with a great misunderstanding of the First Amendment or an axe to grind against religion would claim that such a slogan poses a threat or in any way unconstitutional. The real threat is posed by those who want to whitewash any reference to God from public discourse — even ones as innocuous and uplifting as this one,” Chaplain Ron Crews, the group’s executive director, said. Although country music legend Charlie Daniels is famous for his fiddle-playing skills, what he does for our military is even more impressive.
The Journey Home Project, a non-profit organization co-founded by Daniels, recently donated $50,000 for the new Veterans and Military Family Center at Middle Tennessee State University.
The center will not only provide distinctive space for study sessions and discussions, but also a VA mental health counselor on-site to assist veteran students and their families as they cope with post-war traumas . . .
The 2,600-square-foot center will also include a conference room for employer job interviews and video teleconferencing to benefit veterans.
“The new center will encourage and facilitate the success of our veterans as they transition out of uniform into academics, and then into future employment opportunities, as they strive to become leaders in the community much like they were in uniform. It will also help to answer all of their questions and give them a place to go where they’re talking to people with a commonality of background, purpose and focus,” said U.S. Army Lt. Gen. Keith Huber, MTSU’s senior adviser for veterans and leadership initiatives. (Read more from “Country Music Legend Just Released News That Changes Everything for Veterans” HERE)

By Alex Swoyer. Planned Parenthood paid some of its supporters who threw condoms at GOP presidential candidate Carly Fiorina and at her supporters during an Iowa Hawkeye tailgate on Saturday.
The payments were briefly mentioned in a story by the New York Times. “On Saturday, women wearing pink, some of wh [om were paid by Planned Parenthood, protested Mrs. Fiorina at a campaign appearance in Iowa, throwing condoms and chanting, ‘Women are watching, and we vote,’” reported the New York Times . . .
Abortions comprise roughly three percent of medical services provided each year by Planned Parenthood [but, along with related “services” – including the baby body parts trade – comprise a much, much greater percentage of the organization’s annual revenue]. The group completed 327,653 abortions during its 2013-2014 financial year. Planned Parenthood receives roughly $542 million dollars from tax-payers each year. By David Weigel. Rep. Steve King (R-Iowa) was perplexed. Two long months had passed since the Center for Medical Progress started releasing undercover videos in which current and former Planned Parenthood employees described the grim economics of fetal tissue harvesting. Since then, a long congressional recess had come and gone and Republican-run states had redoubled their efforts to defund the family planning titan. Yet in the most recent poll from Reuters/Ipsos, 54 percent of voters still favored federal funding for Planned Parenthood.
“Those numbers are news to me,” said King. “I haven’t paid any attention to the polls. But am I surprised? Yes. That would explain some of the reasons why the leadership is not committing to defund.”
Since King made that analysis, the Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll has returned from the field, with even better news for Planned Parenthood. The full poll, to be released today, will find that the group’s favorable rating is slightly up since the July release of the videos, from 45-30 percent favorable-unfavorable to 47-31 percent. Going into Tuesday’s 10 a.m. congressional hearing on the group, a well-hyped showdown between the GOP and Planned Parenthood President Cecile Richards, the video campaign appears not to have shifted public opinion on federal defunding.
“This is something the pro-life movement has been trying to educate people about for many years,” said Mallory Quigley, spokeswoman for the anti-abortion Susan B. Anthony List. “I’ve seen polling that finds even some people who consider themselves pro-life don’t know that Planned Parenthood performs abortions. When you’ve got President Obama and Miss America telling the lie for you, it goes a long way. I grew up with Judy Blume books, where the last couple pages would tell you that you should go to Planned Parenthood for health services.”
The sturdiness of support for Planned Parenthood stands out in a field of anti-abortion victories. For seven years, until 2015, more Americans told Gallup pollsters they were “pro-life” than “pro-choice.” Activists have credited even the omnipresence of social media, and the attendant photos of babies and sonograms, for building a culture of life. It’s allowed the movement to talk over the mainstream press and the dominant, progressive cultural voices. It hasn’t been able to talk over the Planned Parenthood defense squad. Pope Francis gave clear approval of Kim Davis’ stance against issuing homosexual “marriage” licenses as he traveled back to Rome Monday, calling it a “human right” for government officials to refuse to conduct a duty that violates their conscience.
On the flight home from his first visit to the U.S., the pope was asked whether he supported individuals, including government officials, who decline to obey certain laws, for instance issuing “marriage” licenses to same-sex couples . . .
Religious liberty has been a hot-button issue in recent months in the United States as various small businesses across the country have been targeted with fines, prosecution and attack on social media for declining to take part in homosexual “weddings” based upon their owners’ religious and moral objection.
The headlines of late have been focused on the case of Rowan County, KY Clerk Kim Davis, who went to jail for refusing to issue marriage licenses to any couples so as to avoid discriminating against homosexual couples. She has asked for an accommodation where her name and title would be removed from the licenses.
“I can’t have in mind all cases that can exist about conscientious objection,” Pope Francis told journalists on his flight, “but, yes, I can say that conscientious objection is a right that is a part of every human right.” (Read more from “Pope Francis: Refusing to Sign Same-Sex Marriage Licenses Is a Human Right” HERE)
