Carly Fiorina Fails to Disavow Her Praise of Islam in Post 9/11 Speech, Pushes Conservatives Away

25610-carly-fiorina-facebook.800w.tnTwo weeks after 9/11, on September 26, 2001, Carly Fiorina gave a speech, “Technology, Business and Our Way of Life: What’s Next,” in which she tied courage, leadership, heroes, and “the questions of life and death” to business leaders learning from one of the greatest civilizations to ever exist: Islamic civilization. Her claims evidence her exceptional ineptitude or blatant, galling, willful deceit.

Consider her claims about Islam and America. She says, America is “indebted” to the Islamic civilization, whose “gifts are very much a part of our heritage.”

John Adams and Thomas Jefferson would agree, in that they commissioned merchant marines, the Marine Corp, and the Navy to defend America from Islamic invaders.

Consider her claims about the Ottoman Empire:

“When other nations were afraid of ideas, this civilization thrived on them, and kept them alive. When censors threatened to wipe out knowledge from past civilizations, this civilization kept the knowledge alive, and passed it on to others.” Censorship did exist, but under Suleiman’s rule and Islamic Shari’a law, which, is exactly what Islamists are seeking to reinstate today.

Under Suleiman three continents were “allowed a degree of peace and prosperity that had never been known.” And, the “Islamic world from the year 800 to 1600, which included the Ottoman Empire and the courts of Baghdad, Damascus and Cairo, and enlightened rulers like Suleiman the Magnificent … contributed to our notions of tolerance and civic leadership.” One need only read historical evidence of Suleiman’s numerous military conquests, whose methods are nearly identical to those of ISIS.

The Ottoman Empire “was driven more than anything, by invention. Its mathematicians created the algebra and algorithms that would enable the building of computers, and the creation of encryption.”

And: America’s technology industry “would not exist without the contributions of Arab mathematicians.”

The Spartans, Leon Battista Alberti, and Thomas Jefferson were the inventors of encryption; and they weren’t Islamists.

Charles Babbage, an English mathematician, philosopher, mechanical engineer, and scientist originated the concept of a programmable computer in 1822, which he built upon in 1837. He also designed a printer.

Centuries earlier, in 1597, Galileo invented and established a factory that constructed instruments to perform trigonometric calculations, multiplication and division, square and cube root, comparison of areas and volumes, currency exchange rates, monetary interest, and various military problems.

Neither Babbage nor Galileo were Islamists.

Where did Carly come up with this nonsense—from talking to Aladdin on a magical carpet ride? Her claims top even the mystical fantasies of The Arabian Nights.

For the truth, however, Islamabad writer Dr. Farrukh Saleem pointed out in 2005 indisputable facts about the Islamic world.

Today, the 57 Islamic countries are the world’s poorest and most illiterate:

The GDP of 57 Muslim countries is less than $2 trillion

Muslims comprise roughly 22 percent of the world’s population but only produce less than 5 percent of global GDP

20 percent of Arabs live on less than $2 per day

The average growth rate of per capita income in the Arab world hovers around .5 percent per year [worse than everywhere else except for sub-Saharan Africa]

60 percent of Muslims worldwide are illiterate

50 percent of Arab women cannot read.

Dr. Javaid Laghari adds that 40 percent of the Muslim states’ population falls below the poverty line.

Today, the 57 Islamic countries contribute the least to scientific and technological advancement, let alone have computers or use the Internet. Saleem points out that over a period of more than 105 years, only two (2) Muslims won the Nobel Peace Prize. (They studied Physics and Chemistry in Italy, the U.K., and California). Only eight (8) Muslims are Nobel Laureates.

Shouldn’t a leader of Hewlett-Packard have known at the time of her speech that of the entire Arab population, only:

1 percent has a personal computer—and; .5 percent uses the Internet.

To reiterate the facts, the 57 Islamic countries are the world’s poorest, most illiterate, and contribute the least to scientific and technological advancement, let alone have computers or use the Internet.

Yet—this future—represented by the achievements of Islamic civilizations, is what Carly suggested should be America’s hope. Two weeks after 9/11.

A former CEO who “created a larger company with more debt,” laid off 30,000 employees, expanded Hewlett-Packard’s outsourcing while not offering a solution to reverse America’s trade deficit, pointed to poverty and illiteracy as the source of America’s hope.

Worse still, what business leader, or any leader for that matter, would point to the very civilization as an example of America’s hope, which had just attacked it two weeks earlier?

Politics, historical facts, and leadership aside, on the matter of “life and death,” which she mentions—for 9/11 survivors—like myself—or the few Christians who have survived genocide in 57 Islamic countries and violence throughout Europe, or kidnapped and trafficked little girls, Carly’s remarks could not be more offensive.

Perhaps she should move to Saudi Arabia where women are prohibited from driving; or Iran, where women are prohibited from working.

Her speech 14 years ago only reveals that Carly has been flying on a mystical magical carpet to nowhere for years.

Worker in New Planned Parenthood Video: Aborted Baby’s Heart Was Beating as We Harvested His Brains

HoldingBabiesHead-CMPVideo6-854px_810_500_55_s_c1By Ben Johnson. A former procurement technician who helped harvest organs at Planned Parenthood said she saw a baby boy’s heart beating outside his body before the child’s body parts were extracted.

Holly O’Donnell, a former procurement technician at StemExpress, said at Mar Monte’s Alameda clinic in San Jose a co-worker named Jessica brought over the most fully developed baby she had ever seen and said, “I want you to see something kind of cool.”

There she saw the “closest thing to a [fully-developed] baby I’ve seen.”

“It had a face. It wasn’t completely torn up,” she said. “Its nose was very pronounced.”

“She has one of her instruments, and she taps the heart, and it starts beating.” (Read more from “Worker in New Planned Parenthood Video: Aborted Baby’s Heart Was Beating as We Harvested His Brains” HERE)

Planned Parenthood Clinic Cut Through Dead Baby’s Face to Get to His Intact Brain

By Austin Ruse. In the latest video produced by the Center for Medical Progress, Holly O’Donnell describes a medical technician using scissors to cut through the face of a newly aborted but nearly fully developed baby boy at a Planned Parenthood facility so that his intact brain could be extracted.

O’Donnell says that the technician could also make the boy’s heart beat.

Planned Parenthood is working hard to counter the steady drip of damning videos produced by the Center for Medical Progress, but not even the highest priced Washington, D.C. flacks are likely to be able to erase the thought picture of someone cutting through a child’s face with scissors.

Holly O’Donnell and her Planned Parenthood colleague were harvesting organs that day at Planned Parenthood Mar Monte, a mega-clinic in San Jose, California that has an annual budget of $100 million or 10 percent of the national organization.

O’Donnell, who turned whistleblower after leaving StemExpress, said the child was the most fully developed she had seen up to that point. She describes in great detail how the newly aborted boy was rinsed off and prepared for dissection. (Read more from this story HERE)

Family Values Activist Josh Duggar Had a Paid Ashley Madison Account

1393225516640300971By Ashley Feinberg. In 2013, conservative reality TV star Josh Duggar—of TLC’s 19 Kids and Counting fame—was named the executive director of the Family Research Council, a conservative lobbying group in D.C. which seeks “to champion marriage and family as the foundation of civilization, the seedbed of virtue, and the wellspring of society.” During that time, he also maintained a paid account on Ashley Madison, a web site created for the express purpose of cheating on your spouse.

In May 2015, Duggar was forced to resign after In Touch Weekly reported that he had molested five young girls (four of whom were his own sisters) beginning in 2002. When the accusations became public, the family went into crisis mode, insisting that Josh had reformed and that the media covering the claims was intent on “exploiting women” . . .

Data released online in the wake of the hack on Ashley Madison’s servers certainly seems to show otherwise. Someone using a credit card belonging to a Joshua J. Duggar, with a billing address that matches the home in Fayetteville, Arkansas owned by his grandmother Mary—a home that was consistently shown on their now-cancelled TV show, and in which Anna Duggar gave birth to her first child—paid a total of $986.76 for two different monthly Ashley Madison subscriptions from February of 2013 until May of 2015.

According to the data, Josh Duggar was paying Ashley Madison in order to find an extramarital partner for the following acts:

“Conventional Sex,” Experimenting with Sex Toys,” One-Night Stands,” “Open to Experimentation,” “Gentleness,” “Good With Your Hands,” Sensual Massage,” “Extended Foreplay/Teasing,” “Bubble Bath for 2,” “Likes to Give Oral Sex,” “Likes to Receive Oral Sex,” “Someone I Can Teach,” “Someone Who Can Teach Me,” “Kissing,” “Cuddling & Hugging,” “Sharing Fantasies,” “Sex Talk.”

Now You Can Search the Ashley Madison Cheaters List

By CNN Money. The stolen database of 32 million people who used cheating website Ashley Madison has made its way to the Web. And it’s easily searchable on several websites.

Just plug in a name or email address, and you’ll find out if someone who signed up for the service.

Usually, hacked data is difficult to reach or sort through. Stolen files are posted on the Dark Web (which requires a special web browser called Tor). And they’re traded on file-sharing platforms (which also requires special software and clicking on dubious downloads).

But now anyone can check if his or her spouse was cheating — just by filling out a form.

Someone has even created a custom Google Map that displays some of AshleyMadison.com users’ addresses registered with the website. (Read more from this story HERE)

SERVERGATE: Hillary’s Emails Are the Gift That Keeps on Giving

Hillary-Clinton-email-smartphone-GettyImages-134272681The question of Hillary Clinton’s insecure emails looks more and more like a growing scandal. At first, there was concern her private emails might include incriminating communications about her handling of the Benghazi terrorist attack. Now, it appears she may have illegally stored classified government emails on an unsafe personal server — left unencrypted for three months — and possibly obstructed justice by refusing to turn them over.

A subpoena was issued for her emails in March, which she claimed she never got. “I am confident that I never sent nor received any information that was classified at the time it was sent and received,” she asserted last month.

Eventually, she turned over about 30,000 emails to the FBI, amounting to almost half the emails on the server. But she refused to turn over the entire server, claiming that the rest of the emails were personal and unrelated to her job as Secretary of State. Finally, however, she agreed to hand over the server and a thumb drive containing copies of the emails. Did she change her mind because she had scrubbed it clean of any incriminating evidence? That’s not idle speculation. This week it was discovered that she ordered a book on how to delete emails and handle subpoenas for them.

On August 11, the intelligence community’s inspector general, Charles McCullough, reported to Congress that the investigation had found several violations of security policy in her personal emails, which were mislabeled as unclassified. Doing a random audit of 40 of her emails, he found that 10 percent were classified but not been designated as such. Two were “top secret,” and two more were “classified.”

Top secret is the highest official classification level in the U.S. government, defined as information whose unauthorized release “could cause exceptionally grave damage to national security or foreign relations.” Next down, a classification of “secret” refers to information that, if revealed, could cause “serious harm” to national security. “Classified” refers to data that, if revealed, could cause “some harm” to national security.

Changing the classification is a felony. Additionally, 18 USC 1924 makes it a crime to have classified information at an “unauthorized location.”

If labeled top secret, even if on your personal property, it now belongs to the government.

Clinton’s protege and assistant Huma Abedin, whom Clinton has said she thinks of as a daughter, was asked to turn over her emails multiple times, but the State Department stalled for her, saying she never received the requests, which were sent both by email and surface mail.

Once Congress reads through the emails, Clinton could be in more trouble. Benghazi Committee Chairman Trey Gowdy, R-S.C., wants to know whether she ordered security forces in Benghazi to “stand down.” So far, Clinton has not produced several emails regarding Benghazi, which are known to exist since there were 15 in Sydney Blumenthal’s email cache that he turned over to the Benghazi Committee. Since Clinton has already made a sworn statement to a judge that she turned over all the emails, her actions could constitute perjury or obstruction of justice.

A Clinton spokesperson has said since the information was not labeled, she couldn’t have known it was classified. Yet Clinton said at a March news conference she was “certainly aware of the classified requirements.” In any case, former intelligence professionals observed that is no defense, “The reason the documents were not marked is because she never submitted them for clearance.”

Clinton is also trying to claim that the emails magically became classified later. Even if that was true, how would emails go from unclassified all the way up to the very highest level, top secret? USA Today reports:

In an email to supporters Wednesday, the Clinton campaign explained further: “It’s common for information previously considered unclassified to be upgraded to classified before being publicly released. Some emails that weren’t secret at the time she sent or received them might be secret now,” communications director Jennifer Palmieri said.

Federal investigators have suggested that’s not the case here. The inspectors general have said the emails “contained classified information when they were generated,” and “that information remains classified today.”

John R. Schindler, a former National Security Agency counterintelligence officer, writes, “It is a very big deal and less-connected people who do this sort of thing ruin their lives, as any IC counterintelligence official can attest. During my NSA time, I saw junior personnel terminated for relatively minor infractions of security regulations.” Judge Andrew Napolitano similarly observed, “General Petraeus was indicted, prosecuted and convicted for having confidential — the lowest level — materials in a desk drawer in his house.”

Amazingly, some in the mainstream media are dismissing what could amount to piles of felonies, endangering the lives of millions of Americans. A writer for Slate referred to Hillary’s private email server as merely “digital mismanagement.” Major news outlets are simply skipping the developments in story.

“It’s safe to assume,” jokes Schindler, “that Moscow and Beijing know what Hillary’s ‘private’ emails as Secretary of State contained. Let’s hope that the American public will someday as well.” (Re-posted with permission, “SERVERGATE: Hillary’s Emails Are the Gift That Keeps on Giving”, originally appeared HERE)

Sex Doesn’t Sell After All, Study Says

1200x-1Maybe sex doesn’t sell after all.

Commercials that feature sex and violence — or appear on programs with that kind of content — are less effective than those with neutral themes, according to a study published by the academic journal Psychological Bulletin.

Violent and sexual television programming impairs viewers’ memory because it diverts attention from the advertising, said Brad Bushman, a professor of communication and psychology at Ohio State University and co-author of the study, which analyzed the results of 53 previous experiments . . .

The study concluded that “brands advertised in violent contexts will be remembered less often, evaluated less favorably, and less likely to be purchased than brands advertised in nonviolent media. We also suggest that advertising in sexual media may not be as detrimental as advertising in violent media, but does not appear to be a successful strategy either.”

Bushman said his own earlier research didn’t find a significant difference in how men and women reacted to the different types of advertising. But the broader compilation of studies showed that violence and sex had a larger effect on males, he said. (Read more from “Sex Doesn’t Sell After All, Study Says” HERE)

Watch: Mike Huckabee Asked If Denying Abortion to 10-Year-Old Rape Victim Is ‘Too Extreme’, Here’s How He Responds

101123_mike_huckabee_ap_328After Paraguay’s recent decision to deny an abortion to a 10-year-old who was raped by her stepfather, Republican presidential candidate Mike Huckabee was asked by CNN host Dana Bash how he would respond as fellow Republicans say that policy is “too extreme.”

The former Arkansas governor acknowledged during his “State of the Union” interview Sunday that what happened to the girl is “horrible” and a “terrible tragedy,” but then made a strong argument for allowing the child to be born.

“Does it solve a problem by taking the life of an innocent child?” he asked, adding later: “When I think about one horror, I also think about the possibilities that exist, and I just don’t want to think that somehow we discounted a human life … Let’s not compound the tragedy by taking yet another life.”

Huckabee added that well-known Pastor James Robison was conceived as a result of a rape, and that his mother “begged” doctors in the 1940s to give her an abortion — but they refused. Now Robison heads a Christian relief organization Life Outreach International which cares for “hundreds of thousands of people across the world,” Huckabee said, adding that none of that would have happened if Robison was aborted. Here’s What’s Next up in America’s Experiment With Marriage

Wedding-Rings-7A recent Gallup poll shows growing support for polygamy in America. From 2006 to 2015 support for multiple marriage partners has jumped from 6 to 14 percent as more people think we should be able to marry whoever we want and however many we want — it is our right.

In writing his dissent of the recent U.S. Supreme Court ruling legalizing same-sex marriage across America, Chief Justice John Roberts warned that by changing the fundamental definition of marriage, the justices had opened the door to redefining other vital components of matrimony.

“It is striking how much of the majority’s reasoning would apply with equal force to the claim of a fundamental right to plural marriage,” the chief justice said.

In the future, one could imagine that those who oppose polygamy will be labeled bigots and accused of fanning flames of hatred. The dispute, however, isn’t really about bigotry but about the definition of marriage, which has long been understood as a partnership between a man and a woman, requiring sexual exclusivity and oriented to the birthing and rearing of children, even if children do not always result.

Polygamists, though, maintain that it makes no difference how many fathers or mothers comprise a family, so long as children are loved. But children are harmed because they are often set in perennial rivalry with other children and mothers for the affection and attention of the family patriarch. They are deprived of healthy models of authority and liberty, equality and charity, marital love and fidelity, which are essential to their development as future spouses, citizens and community leaders. There is a confusion about who is really caring for them, which mom or which dad. Ultimately if we believe in the definition of family which has one father and one mother then anything that opposes this God-created reality will negatively affect a child’s development.

Some may point out that the number of American polygamists is so small that changing the law won’t impact the wider culture or the vast majority who support traditional marriage.

So what real difference does it make when a society redefines marriage to fit a new cultural norm? Well it certainly impacts what is taught in schools and promoted and enforced by law.

One could imagine the day when vocal opposition to polygamy could result in legal penalties, including fines and even imprisonment just like we are now seeing happening to people whose faith affirms that marriage can only be between one man and one woman. The answer is to continue to affirm traditional beliefs about marriage and promote the conception of marriage that is best for society, children and married couples.

Ultimately marriage is not a private or even religious matter, nor is it a right to be won by the courts. In truth, marriage should be seen in its fundamental definition and purpose — which brings great benefits to society.

In this light it is the duty of the state to protect but not redefine marriage for it is not created by either the church or the state and neither has the right to change it.

Any government wishing to overturn the fundamental institution of marriage as the union of one man and one woman in lifelong unity to protect and promote the nurturing of children should not be surprised if it receives an impassioned response from society. But will it? This depends on us. The threat to marriage is real. (Re-posted with permission, “Here’s What’s Next up in America’s Experiment With Marriage” originally appeared HERE)

Arkansas, Utah Target Planned Parenthood Funding

planned_parenthood_ap_328_0By Sarah Ferris. Arkansas and Utah are the latest states to target funding for Planned Parenthood, making five states in total trying to restrict money from the women’s health group.

Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson is moving ahead with plans to strip state funding from Planned Parenthood, defying a federal warning earlier this week that doing so could be against the law.

Hutchinson announced Friday that he has ordered the state’s health department to end Medicaid contracts with Planned Parenthood over concerns about the organization’s fetal tissue program.

“It is apparent that after the recent revelations on the actions of Planned Parenthood, that this organization does not represent the values of the people of our state and Arkansas is better served by terminating any and all existing contracts with them,” Hutchinson wrote in a statement first reported by The Associated Press.

The move defies the Obama administration’s warning earlier this week, arguing that states cannot restrict Medicaid providers. (Read more from “Arkansas, Utah Target Planned Parenthood Funding” HERE)

Otter Declines to Order Investigation of Planned Parenthood

By Kimberlee Kruesi. Gov. C.L. “Butch” Otter said he will not launch an investigation into Planned Parenthood facilities in Idaho despite receiving a request from nearly 30 Republican state lawmakers.

In an Aug. 6 letter, Otter, also a Republican, said there are no grounds for a legal investigation because there is no evidence Planned Parenthood has violated any state or federal laws in Idaho.

Planned Parenthood has come under scrutiny after anti-abortion activists released undercover videos that raised questions about whether the national organization was profiting from the sale of fetal tissue— an accusation the group denies.

“I have been in contact with Planned Parenthood officials here in Idaho and they assured me that these practices do not occur in Idaho or within the states that make up Planned Parenthood of the Great Northwest,” Otter wrote.

However, his letter also challenged Planned Parenthood to reassure Idahoans that such activities do not occur in the state. (Read more from this story HERE)

Here Is the Repulsive Thing Rosie O’Donnell Says She Wants to Do to People Who Are Pro-Life

rosieodonnell2Today, comedian Rosie O’Donnell said “women’s rights“ are under attack in America and that politicians are undoing all the advances abortion activists have made. The Hill reports that O’Donnell told Jenny Hutt on SiriusXM’s radio program that she believes there is a war on women. She said, “Bigger than any specific people, there is a war on women that is happening in this country. Women fought for equality in this country, and right now, politically, it’s being taken away from us.”

Then, unbelievably, O’Donnell said she would like to do this to pro-lifers: “I’d like to take my period blood I no longer have and write, ‘you’re all assh—s.’ I’d like to smear it all over some people’s faces.”

Additionally, during the interview with Hutt, she said that London Marathoner Kiran Ganhi’s decision to run without a tampon while menstruating is a critical demonstration for women’s rights.

Although O’Donnell didn’t mention the Planned Parenthood scandal specifically, it is likely she is referring to pro-life Senate Republicans who tried to defund the abortion company in light of videos showing their top executives haggling over the price of aborted babies’ body parts. Unfortunately, Senate Democrats defeated the legislation even though the videos expose Planned Parenthood’s complete disregard for human life and countless potential violations of federal law.

As LifeNews previously reported, O’Donnell recently canceled her plans to adopt another child after finding out that he faced health problems. Earlier this year, O’Donnell separated from her wife, Michelle Rounds, and news reports reveal that the pair plans to divorce. In fact, right now they are in the middle of an ugly custody battle for their daughter, Dakota, who was born in 2013. Rand Paul Leaves the Campaign Trail for Surgeries in Haiti

rand-paul-cpac.si_This weekend, while the political world descends on Iowa’s state fairgrounds, Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) will be fixing cataracts 2000 miles away. As he’s done every summer recess since joining the Senate, Paul’s performing pro bono eye surgery. This year’s mission, run and sponsored by the Moran Eye Center from the University of Utah, will take Paul to Haiti, the poorest nation in the Western Hemisphere.

“We kind of suggested it,” said Paul in an interview. “There was talk about Haiti being in great need, and it’s fairly close to the United States. Haiti, unfortunately, is famous for a long history of problems” . . .

“You want to go where the need is greatest,” Paul said. “In our country, when you have cataracts, they’re relatively easy to fix. The people we will treat in Haiti — many of them will be completely blind. There’s less medical access there. It’s closer to the equator. There’s more sun, people are outside more, fewer people even have sunglasses. So there’s a lot you can do.”

Paul’s 2014 trip was balanced against a small media frenzy. Multiple media outlets traveled with him, filming his journey and surgeries for profiles of a likely presidential contender. David Bossie of the conservative Citizens United even brought a film crew — complete with aerial drone — to capture the scene.
