Family of 6 Says They’ll Go Uninsured Before Paying Obamacare’s ‘Abortion Fee’

Photo Credit: Bracy FamilyBarth Bracy has devoted his life to his Catholic faith. He spent 15 years in the Philippines as a missionary, where he met his wife, Abbie.

The two got married in 2002. Barth and Abbie Bracy reside in Dayville, Conn., with their four young sons, whom she home-schools throughout the year. Bracy commutes 45 minutes to his job as executive director of Rhode Island Right to Life. He also is a deacon at a local church in Connecticut.

Bracy, 47, says he never imagined the family would have to go without health insurance—or that he would find himself in a high-stakes lawsuit against the federal government.

‘If You Like Your Plan, You Can Keep It’

On Oct. 25, 2013, Barth received a letter from his insurance company, Anthem Blue Cross/Blue Shield, saying the family’s health insurance didn’t comply with the Affordable Care Act, popularly known as Obamacare. On Dec. 1, 2014, the plan would be canceled.

Abortionist: Unborn Baby’s Soul Only Appears When His Mother Accepts Him

James McMahon, late term abortionist, now deceased, once said: “I frankly think the soul or personage comes in when the fetus is accepted by the mother.”

LA Times, The Abortions of Last Resort, 1-7-1990

McMahon performed partial-birth abortions when they were legal. It’s interesting what he says here – one wonders what gives a woman so much power that she can create a soul just by her attitude and opinion. If the woman never accepts the baby, if she still continues to reject the baby after he or she is born, does the baby still not have a soul?

Family Planning director’s “greatest fear”

“…one of the greatest fears I have is that we will not have doctors to provide care; will not have places and that this procedure will become more and more isolated from women’s health.”

Chinese Twins Aborted at 9 Months Due to One-Child Policy

Photo Credit: LifeNewsThis week, China will mark 34 years of the one-child family planning policy that has resulted in massive human rights abuses, including forced abortions and coercive sterilizations.

Started in 1980, the policy, which prohibits most Chinese couples form having more than one baby and limits rural residents to two, has resulted in severe human rights abuses. Family planning officials frequently jail couples who refuse to comply, sentence them to house arrest or labor camps, revoke jobs or governmental support, use physical harassment or violence and often target other family members.

Pro-life advocate Sarah Terzo, on her blog, recalls one of the most brutal incidents that occurred in China under the pro-abortion, anti-human rights policy.

A report presented to a Congressional Committee told the following story about forced abortion in China. The babies in this case were nine months along, twins, who were aborted against the mother’s wishes:

“On December 13, 2007 Mrs. Dong (34 years old) from Wutong Town, Yongtai County, Fuchou City was pregnant with unplanned twin babies for almost 9 months. She was working in Ganzhe Town, Minhou County, Fuchou Province together with her husband.

Miss America Kira Kazantsev Kicked Out of Sorority for Hazing

Miss America Kira Kazantsev was kicked out of her Long Island college sorority after a hazing scandal, she admitted on “Good Morning America” Tuesday morning.

“Under the broad definition of hazing, yes, I was involved,” she said. “At the time, unfortunately, that was just the culture of the university, and I was hazed, and I was kind of brought up through the organization thinking that is appropriate behavior…”

The newly crowned pageant queen, whose platform in the competition was anti-domestic abuse, was kicked out of Hofstra University’s Alpha Phi sorority last year after she sent an email ahead of an event to members of her sorority that she said was misinterpreted.

“In the email I made a joke that was taken out of context and forwarded,” she said.

So what was the joke? “That we would make the evening scary for the pledges.”

Miss America’s classmates: Hazing at Hofstra University sororities was ‘intense,’ ‘aggressive’

By Leora Arnowitz.

On Monday the Miss America pageant confirmed that Kira Kazantsev was ousted from her Hofstra University sorority amid a hazing scandal. Kazantsev admitted on Tuesday she was guilty of hazing “under the broad definition of hazing.”

We talked to two Hofstra students about the allegations of hazing in sororities at the school.

One classmate of Kazantsev, who ran in the same circle of friends as the beauty queen, told FOX411 she believes Miss America’s side of the story—that the hazing she engaged in did not go any further than making pledges recite information and participate in “a few sleepless nights crafting.”

“As far as I know of Kira, she’s a very respectable woman and I would believe her over hearsay, but that’s just my personal opinion,” the insider told us. “She’s a really nice person.”

But the 24-year-old, who had several classes with Kazantsev, 23, admitted she’d heard rumors about some harsh hazing practices at Hofstra sororities.

Public School: Girl Can't Wear T-Shirt That Promotes Virginity

Photo Credit: FacebookAn Alabama school superintendent accused Chloe Rubiano and her mother of seeking media attention after the eighth grader’s middle school banned her “Virginity Rocks” T-shirt.

“Just the attention this incident has been given has certainly given the student and her mother the attention they sought,” Fayetteville School District Superintendent Paul Hewitt reportedly told CNN. ”This is not a major free speech issue.”

On September 11, Rubiano wore her “Virginity Rocks” T-shirt to Ramay Junior High in Fayetteville, Ala. She was called into the principal’s office and told to take it off and wear a gym shirt for the rest of the day.

“My vice principal told me ‘I love the shirt and I agree with it, but I just don’t think it’s acceptable for school’,” 13-year-old Rubiano told local news station KSFM. “That ‘it opens up too many doors for conversation’.”

Bambi Crozier, Rubiano’s mother, says she was not informed when her daughter was asked to change clothes, contrary to the school’s official policy.

Watch: Doctors Wanted to Harvest This Comatose Patient’s Organs, But Then He Woke Up

In 2006, Paul Janssen was in a tragic car accident and almost died. The accident left him in a coma and doctors told his family he probably wouldn’t survive. They even asked if was an organ donor and if they wanted to keep him on life support. His parents decided that they weren’t going to give up on him and decided to pray for Paul. Miraculously, Paul woke up from the coma six weeks after the accident.

After hearing stories of how he almost died, Paul started thinking about his life and realized he wasn’t living right before the accident. He even said he believed he deserved to die.

Paul shares about the days leading up to his accident with CBN:

“One day I came home from work and there was a note on the table that said my wife had gone to live with her mother,” Paul said. “I just remember feeling so scared and so angry at the same time. I just started crying out to God. I just asked God, ‘Please bring her back to me.’ After a couple months went by and God didn’t bring her back, that desperation turned into anger. And I just started hating God

In One State, More Children Homeschool Than Attend Private Schools. Why That Shouldn’t Shock You.

Photo Credit: Ken Harper / Creative CommonsIn North Carolina, the number of homeschoolers has now surpassed the number of students attending private schools.

That statistic may seem shocking if you’ve been a stranger to the growth of the homeschooling movement, which has rapidly increased in recent decades.

In 1973, there were approximately 13,000 children, ages 5 to 17, being homeschooled in the United States. But according to the National Center for Education Statistics, as of the 2011-2012 school year, that number has grown to almost 1.8 million or approximately 3.4 percent of the school age population. Other sources report numbers well over 2 million.

In the Tar Heel state alone, homeschooling has increased by 27 percent over the past two years.

Those are pretty impressive numbers for a movement considered “fringe” not that long ago and that has only been legal in all 50 states since 1996.

Duck Dynasty’s Phil: ‘We Legislate Murder, That’s What Abortion Is'

Photo Credit: A&EDuck Dynasty patriarch Phil Robertson gave one of the sermons Sunday at his church, where he criticized political correctness for diminishing the reality of sin and said the “politically correct crowd” had killed 55 million babies by ABORTION, and that this was legislated “murder,” adding that now the government is “legislating perversion.”

In a Sept. 14 sermon focusing on how few people in the media, the UNIVERSITIES, and in movies rarely ever talk about sin or even use the word “sin,” Phil Robertson, an elder at the White’s Ferry Road Church in West Monroe, La., quoted from Webster’s dictionary about political correctness and then emphasized that murder is a sin.

“Noah Webster’s heirs at least were not kind to political correctness,” said Robertson, in reference to the dictionary publisher’s intellectual descendants. “Political correctness is usually used disparagingly to connote dogmatism – this way or the highway, you either gonna’ agree with us, yeah, we’re hollering tolerance but we’re only tolerant of anyone who agrees with us. They connote dogmatism, the excessive sensitivity to minority causes. It just goes on and on.”

Texas Executes Woman for Torture Death of 9-Year-Old Boy

Photo Credit: AP / Texas Department of Criminal JusticeA Texas woman convicted of the starvation and torture death of her girlfriend’s 9-year-old son a decade ago was executed Wednesday evening.

Lisa Coleman, 38, received a lethal injection after the U.S. Supreme Court rejected a last-day appeal to spare her.

She was pronounced dead at 6:24 p.m. CDT, 12 minutes after Texas Department of Criminal officials began administering a lethal dose of pentobarbital.

Coleman became the ninth convicted killer and second woman to receive lethal injection in Texas this year. Nationally, she’s the 15th woman executed since the Supreme Court in 1976 allowed the death penalty to resume. During that same time, nearly 1,400 men have been put to death.
