Black Friday Disappoints: Thin Crowds and ‘Desolate’ Stores

The busiest shopping day of the year is not as busy as retailers hoped.

Across the U.S., shopping malls are seeing only thin crowds, according to reports in business media. Inflation and depressed consumer sentiment appear to have dampened the holiday shopping spirit.

Reuters reported:

At Times Square in New York City, which was cloudy with occasional light rain, employees were seen waiting inside stores for crowds that so far had not arrived.

Outside the American Dream mall in East Rutherford, New Jersey, there were no lines outside stores. A ToysRUS employee was seen walking around the mall handing out flyers with a list of the Black Friday door busters.

Liberal Paper Gives Thanks for Abortions This Thanksgiving

A liberal magazine says that they are thankful to have abortions be a part of the American culture.

The Nation issued an article titled “We’re Thankful for Our Abortions,” on Thanksgiving day giving thanks for the woke procedures while sharing stories from women who have had one done.

Writer Nikiya Natale interviewed several women who all claimed that getting an abortion gave them a better way of life.

“From then on I realized I needed to celebrate my life, my abortions, and how thankful I was for each abortion I had,” one woman said, adding “why can’t there be an abortion narrative where people are happy, had a choice, and created the life that they wanted?”

Another woman said that she has “deep gratitude” that she was able to have an abortion which bettered her life while ending another. (Read more from “Liberal Paper Gives Thanks for Abortions This Thanksgiving” HERE)

Kansas Court Blocks Ban on Abortion Pill Prescription Method

A Kansas judge has blocked the state’s ban on prescribing abortion pills via telemedicine, a move that could expand access to abortion.

Shawnee County District Court Judge Teresa Watson granted a temporary injunction barring the enforcement of a state law that requires physicians to administer abortion-inducing drugs while they are in the room with the patient, effectively preventing abortion pills from being prescribed through telemedicine, after Trust Women, a reproductive clinic in the state, filed a lawsuit challenging the ban.

It comes after the Kansas Court of Appeals sided with Trust Women this June, overturning Watson’s previous denial for an injunction.

The appeals court’s majority opinion concluded that Watson made flaws in her previous decision on the matter, diverging from “well-established Kansas caselaw,” and sent it back to the district court to rule on the injunction again, according to the Topeka Capital-Journal. Georgia Supreme Court Overturns Lower Court, Reinstates 6-Week Abortion Ban

The Georgia Supreme Court has reinstated the state’s six week abortion ban.

In a unanimous decision Wednesday, the state Supreme Court issued a stay against a lower court ruling that overturned the state’s 2019 “heartbeat” abortion ban. The order went into effect immediately, pending an appeal from state officials. The superior court of Fulton County previously overturned the law last week; it had previously been blocked by a federal court until the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade this past summer.

“The State of Georgia’s Emergency Petition for Supersedeas seeking a stay of the order of the Superior Court of Fulton County in [STATE OF GEORGIA v. SISTERSONG WOMEN OF COLOR REPRODUCTIVE JUSTICE COLLECTIVE et al.] is hereby granted,” the court wrote in a one-page order. The decision of the court was unanimous; presiding justice Nels S.D. Peterson was disqualified, and justice Andrew A. Pinson did not participate. The court also dismissed a separate request for an administrative stay. Tampax Boycott Trends After Disgusting Tweet From the Brand Goes Viral

The feminine product brand Tampax was trending on Twitter Tuesday as some followers demanded a boycott.

Tampax had already come under fire this year due to its leftist ideology and willingness to promote gender theory. This time, Tampax is taking heat for a strange and snarky tweet that some have interpreted as trolling men, though the intended audience is unclear.

Followers were outraged at this sentiment, which they claimed was “sexualizing” tampon usage.

“Peak patriarchy: a company making women’s products insults its entire customer base and thinks this is OK. You utter creeps,” one person shared.

“A women’s period products company is getting off on the idea of their products being inserted in girls and women – getting there first – while men are chatting them up hoping for sex. Overtones of rape, [pedophilia], misogyny – what a hat-trick,” another agreed. (Read more from “Tampax Boycott Trends After Disgusting Tweet From the Brand Goes Viral” HERE)

Trans Biden Official Sought Justification for Performing Kids’ Sex Changes From Children’s Hospital

A top Biden healthcare official sought out justification for performing sex change operations on children during the official’s previous role leading a state health agency, according to newly obtained emails.

Dr. Rachel Levine, currently the assistant secretary for health at President Joe Biden’s Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), asked in a 2017 email exchange if any scientific literature was available to support “bottom” surgeries for minors, according to emails obtained by activist Megan Brock and shared with the Daily Caller. Dr. Nadia Dowshen of the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia replied she was “not aware of existing literature.”

“I know that we had discussed at US PATH the possibility of gender confirmation surgery for young people under 18 years of age. This could include top surgery for trans young men and top and bottom surgery for trans young women,” Levine said in an email to Dowshen dated May 4, 2017. “Is there any literature to support this protocol? Please let me know if you have any references.”

Dowshen replied that she was “not aware of existing literature but it is certainly happening.” (Read more from “Trans Biden Official Sought Justification for Performing Kids’ Sex Changes From Children’s Hospital” HERE)

‘Pregnancy Is Not an Illness’: Doctors Sue FDA Over Approval of ‘Dangerous’ Abortion Pill

Four national medical associations and four doctors are suing the Federal Drug Administration (FDA) for “illegally” approving abortion drugs that they claim harm women, according to a federal lawsuit filed Friday.

The groups, represented by Alliance Defending Freedom, are claiming that, “the FDA failed America’s women and girls when it chose politics over science and approved chemical abortion drugs for use in the United States.”

The lawsuit alleges that the FDA had to designate pregnancy as an “illness” and the abortion drugs as providing a “meaningful therapeutic benefit” in order to get them approved so rapidly.

“Pregnancy is not an illness, and chemical abortion drugs don’t provide a therapeutic benefit—they end a baby’s life and they pose serious and life-threatening complications to the mother,” ADF Senior Counsel Julie Marie Blake said in a press release. Tim Allen’s Christmas Series Gets Lumps of Coal From Scrooge-Like Critics: ‘Saying ‘Merry Christmas to All’ Has Suddenly Become Problematic’ (VIDEO)

Actor Tim Allen has recently reprised his role as the jolly old Christmas elf, Santa Claus, giving his critics plenty to complain about this joyous season.

Because Allen, 69, has openly expressed conservative political views in recent years, left-wing critics everywhere are lamenting that a supposedly “right-wing Santa” will appear on television screens across the country.

Two episodes of Allen’s new Christmas series, “The Santa Clauses,” are currently available for streaming on Disney+. The six-part miniseries is a follow-up to Allen’s 1994 smash hit movie “The Santa Clause” and its sequels, “The Santa Clause 2” and “The Santa Clause 3.” In the original, Allen’s character, Scott Calvin, unwittingly assumes the role of Santa Claus. Now, nearly 30 years later, Calvin realizes that even Santa grows old and cannot live forever. The premise of the series is Calvin’s search for a suitable replacement.

However, many critics either cannot or choose not to separate Allen’s private political opinions from the characters he plays on TV. Many have panned the series, claiming that the “right-wing Santa” has ruined the magic of the series. How Conservative Men Can Help Solve the GOP’s Single Women Problem

Last week’s election revealed an ever-deepening divide between the voting preferences of single women and everyone else. Single women broke +37 for Democrats, whereas single men, married men, and married women all favored Republicans. Perhaps “toxic feminism” or “AWFL discourse” is the problem. But whatever the explanation, given the slim margins of the recent election, this is a real issue for Republicans.

Such voting trends are problematic yet understandable. Single women who lack the protection and security that a husband or father provides are likely to look elsewhere, such as to government, for the securing of their interests. Increasingly atomized and isolated from family and community, it is understandable that many single women vote for politicians who will help shape society to be more amenable to their natural instincts. Women naturally pursue harmony and avoid conflict. A public square defined primarily by such qualities will be very different than one characterized by rational argument and directness.

Moreover, when women observe male behavior that is genuinely degrading to women, as can be sometimes seen in circles in the online right, it is understandable that they flee politically to groups they perceive as more welcoming.

Yet the political right ought to be the landing place for women. Those on the right tend to value tradition, order, and the family. Such qualities are good and right in themselves, but also good for women. A single mother without family or community is in a precarious spot, but a wife with children might look to her husband, her parents, or her church community for security.

So how ought men of the right to respond, recognizing that the flight of single women into the party of Drag Queen Story Hour and abortion is a massive problem? Before answering that question, let me make one caveat and then consider a few wrong responses. (Read more from “How Conservative Men Can Help Solve the GOP’s Single Women Problem” HERE)

Are Lonely Wine Karens Ruining Our Country? Exit Poll Reveals the Depressing Truth

Americans expected Republican candidates to dominate the midterm elections. Instead, they got a wave of disappointment thanks largely to lonely, unmarried women who broke heavily for the Democratic Party.

While exit polls show Republicans won married men and women voters by double digits and increased their share among unmarried men, the majority of single women (picture an ex-librarian who drinks boxed wine while listening to Joni Mitchell) voted for Democratic candidates.

Among unmarried women, 68% told CNN’s exit poll they voted for Democrats over Republicans in the 2022 midterms, while only 31% said they voted for Republicans.

So why the gap? Recall the words of Republican Ohio Senator-elect J.D. Vance, who explained to Daily Caller co-founder and Fox News host Tucker Carlson in July 2021 that he believes progressive politicians are nothing more than “a bunch of childless cat ladies.” They use their positions of power to air out grievances rather than govern for the betterment of their constituency.

“What I was basically saying is that we are effectively run in this country – via the Democrats, via our corporate oligarchs – by a bunch of childless cat ladies who are miserable at their own lives and the choices that they’ve made, and so they want to make the rest of the country miserable too,” Vance told Carlson. “You look at Kamala Harris, Pete Buttigieg, AOC – the entire future of the Democrats is controlled by people without children.” (Read more from “Are Lonely Wine Karens Ruining Our Country?
