The husband of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was charged early Sunday with driving under the influence of alcohol.

Paul Pelosi, 82, was arrested in Napa County, California, near midnight Saturday and booked at the local jail some hours later on two counts, according to arrest records obtained and posted by TMZ.

The Collapse Of Teen Mental Health — And Deadly Mass Shootings — Can Be Traced To One Single Trend

The start of the mental health crisis in the United States, particularly among young people, can be tied to an exact era in time: the advent of social media and smartphone technologies.

A review of key indicators of despair over time in the U.S. — including suicide rates, drug overdoses and reports of anxiety — shows that the intensification of America’s mental health decline coincides almost perfectly with the invention of smartphones and the popularization of social media. The number of mass shootings, especially those conducted by young males, also ticks up in the same time period.

The first iPhone was released in the United States in June 2007. Facebook was opened up to anyone aged 13 or over in 2006. Instagram launched in 2010, and the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 were released in 2005 and 2006, respectively. The mental health of teenagers and young adults has plummeted rapidly since the mid-2000’s, as screen time and social isolation have skyrocketed.

One key indicator is suicide rates. The crude rate of suicide in ages 15-24 tripled between 1950 and 1980, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), but then began to decline until the early 2000’s. That’s when it shot back up again. In 2000, the rate was 10.2 per 100,000. It remained relatively stable, ticking up slightly to 10.5 in 2010, before surging to 14.5 by 2017.

When the age range is expanded to 10-24, the trend is even more stark. “After stable trends from 2000 to 2007, suicide rates for persons aged 10–24 increased from 2007 (6.8 per 100,000 persons) to 2017 (10.6), while homicide rates declined from 2007 to 2014 and then increased through 2017,” a 2019 report from the National Center for Health Statistics reads. Radical Journalist: ‘What if You Could Perform an Abortion With an AR-15?’

Julia Ioffe, founding partner and Washington correspondent for Puck News, found herself in hot water on Wednesday night when she tweeted that 2nd Amendment advocates would suddenly be for banning AR-15 rifles if they were tools used in abortions.

“What if you could perform an abortion with an AR-15? What if the 19 kids killed [in] Uvalde weren’t children, but fetuses?” Ioffe said in her now-deleted tweet.

Twitter users immediately pounced on Ioffe for not only using the horrible tragedy in Texas as a vehicle to plug abortion but also for suggesting that 19 children would suddenly have no inherent value to her if they were killed in the womb – a mad dash of irony that seemed to escape her.

“You’d defend it?” responded National Journalism Center program director Becket Adams. “What even is the purpose of tweets like hers? What good does it serve? Kevin Spacey Charged With Four Counts of Sexual Assault in UK

Kevin Spacey’s house of cards continues to fall apart.

The actor, 62, is being charged with four counts of sexual assault against three men after a review of evidence by the United Kingdom’s Metropolitan Police. In addition to the four counts, over actions that allegedly took place from 2005 to 2013, Spacey has also been charged with causing a person to engage in penetrative sexual activity without consent, the Crown Prosecution Service announced Thursday.

“The Crown Prosecution Service reminds all concerned that criminal proceedings against Mr Spacey are active and that he has the right to a fair trial,” said Rosemary Ainslie, head of the CPS Special Crime Division.

The first man, who is now in his 40s, claimed to have been assaulted by Spacey twice in March 2005, and incidents with the second and third men, both now in their 30s, allegedly occurred in August 2008 and April 2013. All four of the alleged incidents occurred while Spacey was serving as artistic director of the Old Vic Theatre, one of London’s most historic theaters, a position he held from 2004 to 2015, according to the Daily Mail. National Review Has Unconditionally Surrendered to Same-Sex ‘Marriage’

Until a few days ago, few people outside the offices of National Review knew that the revered conservative magazine’s publisher is a homosexual, “married” to a man.

“The publisher of the most important conservative magazine of the last 60 years, National Review, is gay-married?” wrote The Stream’s Peter Wolfgang, who broke the story. “Garrett Bewkes, the man overseeing the magazine once edited by William F. Buckley, has a husband.”

“He’s been the publisher for five years. How did this happen? And what does it mean for the conservative movement and the Republican party?” Wolfgang asked.  “I suspect a lot of NR’s long-time readers don’t know this. I wouldn’t have known if a local newspaper hadn’t run an article by Bewkes’ ‘husband’ Bradley.”

Wolfgang, president of Family Institute of Connecticut Action, continued:

Together they’re starting a Connecticut chapter of the Log Cabin Republicans. That’s a group “dedicated to representing LGBT conservatives and allies” in the Republican party, as they explain on their homepage.

Glenn Greenwald, perhaps the top independent investigative journalist in the world, is “married” to another man with whom he is raising two sons.

Bari Weiss, formerly of The New York Times whose substack produces some of the best coverage and criticism of woke culture and politics, left her husband and is now “married” to a woman.

Andy Ngo, the intrepid journalist who at great personal risk provided unparalleled coverage of Antifa violence, is openly gay.

Jim Hoft, founder and editor-in-chief of Gateway Pundit, is gay and “married” to a male reportedly half his age.
Dave Rubin, host of the popular Rubin Report, announced earlier this year that he and his “husband” are expecting the birth of two children via surrogacy.

Richard Grenell, former acting director of national intelligence and U.S. ambassador to Germany and a partnered homosexual, joined Newsmax in December as a national security contributor and executive for international partnerships.

Fox News personality Guy Benson is “married” to a man and The Daily Wire’s Spencer Klavan is engaged to a male colleague at the conservative media site.

RL Editor’s note: Andrew Napolitano, who attacked Joe Miller in his senate race against Lisa Murcowski, was terminated by Fox News in August 2021 after being accused of sexual harassment by a male co-worker and is a homosexual activist. He aggressively supported same-sex marriage and has been sued by two men for sexual harassment.

Disturbing: Mother Scammed in Attempt to Purchase Baby Formula for Daughter With Rare Disease (VIDEO)

A California mother whose 11-year-old daughter has a rare disease that impacts her ability to digest food says she was scammed while trying to purchase baby formula amid the nationwide shortage.

Keely Aguilar’s daughter, Nataliyah, has Bainbridge Roper Syndrome, which per the National Institutes of Health (NIH), is “characterized by developmental delay or intellectual disability, typically in the moderate to severe range, with speech and language delay and/or absent speech.” The NIH indicates that digestive complications may arise as well. . .

In a video posted on social media, Keely explained that due to Nataliyah’s inability to digest food properly, she can only ingest formula that has been “pre-broken down” in a feeding tube through to her intestines. Due to the nature of this process, Nataliyah can not intake formula bought from a grocery store and must source it from elsewhere. . .

As Keely and Nataliyah’s story gained attention through social media and local outlets, many reached out to the Aguilars, offering help with finding and purchasing formulas, ABC 7 noted. However, as Keely claimed, among those who reached out were scammers. “I have been scammed. People are preying on this situation,” she stated.

Keely had been reached out to by a person via Facebook claiming to have formula for sale for $250, ABC 7 reported. “I thought I was doing my due diligence in asking a lot of questions. I asked for pictures, I asked for expiration dates on the cans. Outbreak of Monkeypox Linked to Massive Festival for the ‘Gay Fetish Community’

Three confirmed cases of monkeypox have been linked to a homosexual fetish festival in Belgium, health authorities said Friday.

The Darklands Festival in Antwerp has been linked to all three confirmed cases of the disease in Belgium following four days of partying that began on May 5, according to AFP. The festival’s organizers said on their website that the Belgian government had asked them to inform attendees that the outbreak was likely caused by a festival-goer bringing the sickness from abroad.

MSNBC Host Calls Republican an ‘Idiot’ for Opposing Aborting Child ‘Seconds Away’ From Birth

House Republican Conference Vice Chair Mike Johnson (R-LA) is an “idiot” for opposing the late-term abortion of a child only “seconds away” from birth, according to MSNBC’s Katie Phang, who heaped praise upon an Alabama abortion provider who avoided the congressman’s questioning during a tense hearing on access to the medical procedure this week.

Filling in for The Cross Connection host Tiffany Cross on Saturday, the MSNBC guest host slammed conservative lawmaker Mike Johnson in a segment with Dr. Colleen McNicholas, chief medical officer for Planned Parenthood of St. Louis, Missouri. . .

Phang then praised the doctor for “standing her ground.”

“Good for this doctor… for standing her ground and saying, ‘you’re an idiot, and you [don’t] know what you’re doing,’” the stand-in host said. “She said it more politely than me.”

First Shipments of Operation Fly Formula Won’t Go to Stores

The first shipment of the White House’s Operation Fly Formula won’t immediately go to store shelves but will instead be delivered to facilities in areas with the most need.

The first flight delivered 132 pallets of baby formula to Indianapolis on Sunday, providing enough of the product to feed 9,000 babies and 18,000 toddlers for one week, according to government officials. However, none of that initial shipment will go to stores right away. Instead, it will be distributed to hospitals, doctors’ offices, healthcare facilities, and pharmacies in areas where “needs are most acute,” a Biden administration official told CNN.

“It is a large shipment of very specific and specialized formula,” Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack told reporters Sunday. “Formula for moms and dads who have children who have allergies where the regular formula just simply will not work.”

The delivery is the first of two shipments of Operation Fly Formula, which will transport a total of 246 pallets of baby formula, enough to fill 1.5 million 8-ounce bottles, according to the White House. The second flight is expected to “take place in the coming days” and will distribute 114 more pallets of formula.

The formula shipment on Sunday included Nestle Health Science formula products, such as Alfamino Infant and Alfamino Junior, which are for infants who cannot digest the protein in cow milk.

The worsening shortage of baby formula, the primary source of nutrition for many infants, particularly those who require specialty mixtures due to allergies or gastrointestinal conditions, has led to a 40% decrease in inventory nationwide, according to Datasembly. State Farm Donating Transgender Books for Kindergarteners

The auto insurance company State Farm is encouraging its agents in Florida to donate books promoting transgenderism to 5-year-olds to their local schools or public libraries, according to an email shared by a whistleblower.

The email, obtained by the nonprofit organization Consumers’ Research and shared with the Washington Examiner, revealed that State Farm has partnered with the GenderCool Project, which promotes issues of gender identity in children through various advocacy and public awareness programs, to donate a packet of three books to local schools and public libraries.

The three books, A Kids Book About Being Transgender, A Kids Book About Being Non-Binary, and A Kids Book About Being Inclusive, contain various descriptions about gender and identity meant to disprove the notion that gender is the same as biological sex and establish that it is therefore changeable.

The GenderCool Project markets the “three book bundle” to children ages 5 and over, a fact noted in the whistleblower email.

“The project’s goal is to increase representation of LGBTQ+ books and support our communities in having challenging, important and empowering conversations with children age 5+,” the email said.
