Las Vegas Shooting Leaves One Dead and 14 Injured

A shooting left one dead and 14 injured in Las Vegas, police announced Saturday afternoon.

The incident, which occurred early Saturday morning in a hookah lounge just off the Las Vegas strip, resulted in the death of one male victim and two others in critical condition. Twelve other victims are in stable condition, and no suspect is in custody, police said Saturday afternoon.

Two people got into a fight, and they then took out their guns and began firing at each other, hitting a total of 15 people, according to a press release. When officers got to the scene at approximately 3:15 a.m., they began rendering aid by applying tourniquets and administering CPR before transporting them to the Sunrise and UMC hospitals, police said. Trump On 2024: ‘We’re Going to Be Doing It Again, a Third Time’ (VIDEO)

Former President Donald Trump made a serious hint in his speech Saturday at CPAC, the Conservative Political Action Conference, that he’ll be running for president again in 2024.

“We are a sleeping giant,” Trump said, speaking to America’s adversaries, such as Russia and China.

“They’re going to find out the hard way starting on Nov. 8, and then even more so on November 2024, they will find out like never before. We did it twice and we’ll do it again, we’re going to be doing it again, a third time,” he said, an apparent reference to his upcoming third campaign for the presidency.

“2022 will be the year that millions of every day citizens stand up to the leftwing fascists, and they will continue and we will all continue together to make America great again. We can build it back again quickly and even better than before.” (Read more from “Trump: ‘We’re Going to Be Doing It Again, a Third Time'” HERE)

CDC’s Latest Announcement Paves Way for the End of Mandates

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) updated its COVID-19 mask guidance Friday to no longer recommend mask-wearing in most indoor settings.

Many state and local governments have deferred to CDC guidance when implementing mask mandates, meaning the change could lead to the end of the remaining mask mandates in some blue jurisdictions. The CDC has recommended indoor masking for Americans, regardless of vaccination status, since last summer after briefly relaxing guidance in the spring of 2021.

The new CDC guidance divides communities into high, medium and low risk categories based on COVID metrics like hospitalizations. People in communities that are deemed high risk are advised to wear a mask indoors, but those in low or medium risk areas are advised only to get vaccinated and get tested if sick.

In medium risk communities, vulnerable individuals are encouraged to seek the advice of their doctor on whether or not to wear a mask. Roughly 70% of American counties fall in the medium or low risk groups, meaning those residents aren’t advised to mask. Report: Biden Turned Over Intelligence to China on Russia’s Plans to Invade Ukraine, China Gave It to Russia

Democrat President Joe Biden’s administration turned over intelligence to communist China for months about Russia’s plans to invade Ukraine in an attempt to get China to convince Russia to not invade, according to a report.

“Over three months, senior Biden administration officials held half a dozen urgent meetings with top Chinese officials in which the Americans presented intelligence showing Russia’s troop buildup around Ukraine and beseeched the Chinese to tell Russia not to invade,” The New York Times reported. “Each time, the Chinese officials, including the foreign minister and the ambassador to the United States, rebuffed the Americans, saying they did not think an invasion was in the works. After one diplomatic exchange in December, U.S. officials got intelligence showing Beijing had shared the information with Moscow, telling the Russians that the United States was trying to sow discord — and that China would not try to impede Russian plans and actions.”

The report comes after Russia launched a full-scale invasion into Ukraine late this week and fighting has already reached the country’s capital city of Kyiv, although U.S. officials claim that Russia’s advance has been slowed down some by Ukrainian resistance.

The meetings in which the Biden administration turned over intelligence to Beijing started after Biden held a video summit with Chinese dictator Xi Jinping in mid-November. Ukrainian Border More Important Than U.S. Boundary to Nearly 60% Of Dems

The Ukrainian border is more important to nearly 6 of 10 Democrats in America than the United States’ own border with Mexico.

That’s confirmed by a poll from Rasmussen Reports, which said 57% of responding Democrats said the Ukrainian boundary is more important to protect than the American border. . .

As Russian President Vladimir Putin this week was dispatching tens of thousands of soldiers into Ukraine to attack and kill its citizens, a full 57% of Democrats said protecting Ukraine’s border is a priority.

The poll also showed even though Joe Biden has claimed, based on his decades as a Washington insider in the Senate and as vice president, expertise in foreign policy, Americans disagree with him.

“Sixty-four percent rated Biden’s handling of the conflict fair to poor. An equal amount said his ‘handling’ of national security issues was fair to poor,” Bedard reported. (Read more from “Ukrainian Border More Important Than U.S. Boundary to Nearly 60% Of Dems” HERE)

DHS Seeks to Divert Officers From U.S. Border Crisis to Ukraine

The Biden administration is seeking to divert Customs and Border Protection officers from the U.S. southern border crisis to Europe to help process U.S. citizens fleeing from the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

In a memo issued Thursday, the CBP asked for volunteers from among its ranks to deploy to Poland for “Operation Ukraine Support,” Just the News reported.

“The Office of Field Operations is seeking volunteers to assist with the possible evacuation of U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, and their immediate family members from Ukraine,” the memo said.

Addressing CBP field operations executives, the memo said eligible employees who volunteer “may be selected to serve a temporary duty assignment in Poland to facilitate travelers for entry into the U.S., to include providing guidance and problems resolution to other government agencies.”

“Once deployed employees are expected to perform all assigned duties and may be required to work irregular shifts and schedules, up to seven days per week including holidays and weekends,” the memo noted. (Read more from “DHS Seeks to Divert Officers From U.S. Border Crisis to Ukraine” HERE)

Huh? Biden Sanctions Russia — But Not Vladimir Putin or Russian Oil

President Joe Biden announced Thursday he would level economic sanctions on Russia for invading Ukraine, but not on Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“For weeks, we have been warning that this would happen, and now, it’s unfolding largely as we predicted,” Biden said during a speech at the White House. . .

Biden’s administration finally leveled sanctions on Russian banks after over a month of threatening severe economic pain if he attacked Ukraine. But the president admitted he did not expect Putin to change his mind soon as a result.

“It’s not going to occur — he’s going to say ‘oh my god, these sanctions are coming, I’m going to stand down,’” Biden continued.

The Biden administration also indicated earlier Thursday they would not sanction Russian oil, at a time when prices were already high. (Read more from “Huh? Biden Sanctions Russia — But Not Vladimir Putin or Russian Oil” HERE)

NYC Underground: Hundreds of People Are Living in Subway Stations and Tunnels, Survey Shows

Some 350 homeless individuals were recently found living in encampments in subway stations and tunnels, transit officials said Thursday.

The individuals were spread between 29 encampments in tunnels and 89 in stations, according to an MTA survey conducted on Feb. 2 and 3 as part of a “track trespass” task force formed in December to address an uptick in track intrusions.

Taskforce leader Jamie Torres-Springer said the tunnel encampments “directly lead to track trespassing incidents,” which the MTA began tracking in detail in January.

MTA bean counters recorded 160 track intrusion incidents in the first month of record-keeping, 40 of which were attributed to mentally ill or emotionally disturbed individuals, Torres-Springer said. Other incidents involved slip-and-falls, intoxication or suicide or attempted suicide, and four more involved shove assaults. Pentagon Worried the ‘Nintendo Generation’ Can’t Survive Boot Camp Because Their Bones Are Weak

The Department of Defense has once again shown its age and its disdain for those daggon kids and their daggum Nintendos.

An early February press release, put out by the Military Health System, took aim at 18-to-25-year-olds and suggested that they’re having a hard time making it through boot camp because their bones are brittle from playing too many video games.

“Today’s recruits are coming from a far more sedentary lifestyle compared to previous generations, making their skeletons more prone to injuries because they’re not used to the kind of intense activity they will face at basic training,” reads the release.

But wait, it gets better. The statement even includes a few new Pentagon buzzwords and catchphrases.

“The ‘Nintendo Generation’ soldier skeleton is not toughened by activity prior to arrival, so some of them break more easily,” said Maj. Jon-Marc Thibodeau, a clinical coordinator at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. (Side note: “Nintendo Generation soldier skeleton” is an excellent idea for a band name or a DARPA project.) Senate-Confirmed Biden Nominee Isn’t Even Eligible for Job

Any decision made by President Joe Biden’s Senate-confirmed nominee to lead the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service could be null and void because she doesn’t meet key requirements to hold the post, multiple conservationists and legal experts told the Washington Examiner.

Two conservationists told the Washington Examiner they warned the 20 members of the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works in late 2021 that the nominee, Martha Williams, lacks a “scientific education” in a relevant field, a requirement Congress codified into law during the Nixon administration. Despite the warnings, the committee voted 16-4 in January to advance Williams’s nomination to lead the Fish and Wildlife Service, and the Senate confirmed her nomination by voice vote on Thursday.

“No individual may be appointed as the Director unless he is, by reason of scientific education and experience, knowledgeable in the principles of fisheries and wildlife management,” the law reads. Experts say the word “and,” as opposed to “or,” is crucial and mandates a nominee have knowledge derived from both experience and education.

Williams, who earned a law degree from the University of Montana in 1994 after graduating from the University of Virginia with a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy, “flatly violates” the statutory requirement to lead the agency she was just confirmed to lead, said Robert Aland, a retired attorney-turned-grizzly bear activist.

“I’m not a biologist, but I’ve spent my career translating science to decision-makers and courts,” Williams said in 2017. (Read more from “Senate-Confirmed Biden Nominee Isn’t Even Eligible for Job” HERE)
