Ryan Routh Tries to Stab Himself With Pen After Being Convicted of Trump Assassination Attempt

Ryan Routh, the madman who holed up in a sniper’s nest with an assault rifle at one of President Trump’s golf courses, tried to stab himself with a pen in a Florida courtroom Tuesday after he was convicted of attempting to assassinate the then-GOP nominee.

A dramatic scene unfolded as jurors were leaving the courtroom when Routh took a pen and started trying to jab himself in the neck.

Courtroom marshals sprung to action and dragged him out of the room as his daughter, Sara Routh, screamed at her father. “Dad I love you. Don’t do anything. I’ll get you out. He didn’t hurt anybody,” the daughter yelled.

A few minutes later, Routh was brought back into the courtroom with shackles on. He wasn’t wearing the jacket and tie from earlier and his white shirt didn’t show signs of blood. The judge set his sentencing date for Dec. 18, where he will face up to life in prison.

The jurors took about two hours to find Routh, 59, guilty of five federal charges of attempted assassination, assault on a federal officer and gun crimes following a two week trial in Fort Pierce, Fla. court.

After the verdict was read out, Routh took a pen and stabbed himself in the neck. The extent of his injuries was not immediately clear. (Read more from “Ryan Routh Tries to Stab Himself With Pen After Being Convicted of Trump Assassination Attempt” HERE)

Charlie Kirk Producer Andrew Kolvet Claims Memorial Had ‘100 Million Overall Streams’

Andrew Kolvet, executive producer for The Charlie Kirk Show, said the memorial honoring the slain conservative activist saw “100 million overall streams.”

Kolvet announced the numbers via X on Sunday shortly after the memorial closed.

“Our production and streaming partners tracked over 100 million overall streams for today’s tribute to Charlie. This is JUST what they know about. It’s likely much larger. Over 100 million people just heard the Gospel proclaimed again and again by speaker after speaker. Truly remarkable,” he said.

Some users noted that were likely more viewers due to families watching it together.

“It is much larger. Our family visited and we watched it together. Every stream is probably 5-10 people,” said one social media user. (Read more from “Charlie Kirk Producer Andrew Kolvet Claims Memorial Had ‘100 Million Overall Streams’” HERE)

Iran Suspends Cooperation with International Atomic Energy Agency

By Al Mayadeen English. Iran’s Supreme National Security Council announced on Saturday the suspension of its cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) after the UN Security Council adopted a resolution imposing sanctions on Tehran over its nuclear program.

The decision, made during a high-level council meeting, follows the E3’s “politically motivated move” of reimposing nuclear sanctions on Tehran. . .

Iranian lawmakers have repeatedly warned that any attempt to exploit pressure tactics will be met with a “harsher and more decisive” response than before.

European diplomats have alleged that Iran has yet to take the necessary steps to avert the return of sanctions, while Iranian officials insist the country can withstand renewed pressure. (Read more from “Iran Suspends Cooperation with International Atomic Energy Agency” HERE)

U.S. Birth Rates Plummet as Home Prices Surge: Here’s How the Housing Market Is Shaping Family Planning

The U.S. birth rate plunged to an all-time low in 2024 after being on a downward trajectory for roughly 20 years, with soaring housing costs widely cited as a major contributing factor.

Earlier this summer, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) released updated birth data for the previous year, revealing that the nation’s fertility rate decreased to fewer than 1.6 kids per woman, down from 2.1 kids per woman recorded in 2006, which is the rate the country needs to sustain its population.

The last two decades saw women increasingly delaying having children, or choosing not to have them at all. There are many factors fueling this trend, including personal and cultural, and one of them is the rising housing costs, according to some experts.

Data analyzed by Realtor.com® economists show that from 2006 to 2024, the financial burden of purchasing a home has grown dramatically.

In 2006, the median price of a single-family home was $221,923, which translates to about $343,806 in 2024 dollars when adjusted for inflation. By comparison, the median sale price in 2024 was $410,100, more than $66,000 higher in real terms than the 2006 equivalent. Josh Shapiro Says Kamala Harris Will ‘Have to Answer’ for Never Raising Concerns Over Biden’s Health

Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro said Kamala Harris “is going to have to answer” for not publicly raising concerns about former President Joe Biden’s fitness to do the job before the 2024 presidential election, telling Stephen A. Smith in an interview released Thursday that her silence needs explaining.

“I haven’t read the former vice president’s book,” Shapiro told Smith on his SiriusXM show.

He said Harris was going to have to answer for “how she was in the room and yet never said anything publicly.”

Shapiro, who was among a shortlist of candidates for VP under Harris before she picked Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, added that he voiced his own doubts privately to Biden’s team.

“I was direct with them,” the Democratic governor told Smith.

“I told them my concerns.” (Read more from “Josh Shapiro Says Kamala Harris Will ‘Have to Answer’ for Never Raising Concerns Over Biden’s Health” HERE)

Jimmy Kimmel Set to Return to ABC After Being Yanked Off Air Over Charlie Kirk Comments

The Walt Disney Company announced Monday that “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” will return to air on Tuesday following a weeklong suspension over his monologue about Charlie Kirk’s murder.

In a statement, Disney said it halted production last Wednesday “to avoid further inflaming a tense situation at an emotional moment for our country.” The company added that “some of the comments were ill-timed and thus insensitive.”

Executives said they spent several days in discussions with Kimmel before concluding the late-night program could resume.

The suspension from ABC followed remarks by Kimmel in which he claimed MAGA activist Kirk was killed by other supporters of President Trump — despite authorities saying the alleged killer how a leftist social media history.

Former Disney CEO Michael Eisner blasted the decision, accusing the company of yielding to “out-of-control intimidation” from federal regulators. (Read more from “Jimmy Kimmel Set to Return to ABC After Being Yanked Off Air Over Charlie Kirk Comments” HERE)

Liberal CNN Analyst Shares ‘Shocking’ Text Charlie Kirk Sent to Him — a Day Before Assassination

Liberal CNN analyst Van Jones revealed Saturday that he received a message from conservative activist Charlie Kirk that “shocked” him one day before the influencer was assassinated at a college tour event in Utah.

“Hey Van, I mean it, I’d love to have you on my show to have a respectful conversation about crime and race,” Kirk wrote in his message, which Jones shared on his Instagram.

Jones, who said he and Kirk were “beefing hard” in the last week of the Turning Point USA founder’s life, was clearly moved by the message.

“I would be a gentleman as I know you would be as well,” the slain 31-year-old conservative activist had added. “We can disagree about the issues agreeably.”

“Charlie Kirk and I were not friends. At all,” the CNN analyst said, noting that the message “shocked me.” (Read more from “Liberal CNN Analyst Shares ‘Shocking’ Text Charlie Kirk Sent to Him — a Day Before Assassination” HERE)

Surprise, Surprise: Rifle Allegedly Used in Charlie Kirk Murder is Untraceable, Has No Serial Number

The rifle allegedly used to assassinate conservative activist Charlie Kirk has turned out to be untraceable, adding a new layer of mystery and controversy to a killing already marked by inconsistencies and unanswered questions.

According to prosecutors, the weapon—identified as a Mauser Model 98—was a decades-old, German-made bolt-action rifle that predates U.S. serial number requirements, making it impossible to trace through standard forensic databases. The rifle was reportedly used by Tyler Robinson, who is accused of fatally shooting Kirk during a public event at Utah Valley University on September 10.

The firearm, described by Robinson in text messages as “grandpa’s rifle,” is believed to have been manufactured before 1963, when serial number mandates were introduced in the wake of President John F. Kennedy’s assassination. The Gun Control Act of 1968 made such markings mandatory for all new firearms sold in the U.S., but older guns like the Mauser are exempt—creating legal blind spots in modern gun tracing efforts.

Robinson allegedly left the weapon wrapped in a towel and hidden in a wooded area near the event site after the shooting. Authorities discovered the gun several hours later.

In a series of unusually detailed messages sent to his alleged transgender “lover” following the attack, Robinson appeared both anxious about abandoning the weapon and oddly confident that it couldn’t be traced — describing several key facts of the case with striking specificity:

“IDK if it has a serial number but it wouldn’t trace to me,” Robinson wrote. “I’m worried about prints. I had to leave it in a bush where I changed outfits.”

Another message read:

“I’m worried what my old man would do if I don’t bring back grandpa’s rifle.”

The emergence of an untraceable firearm deepens public skepticism surrounding the circumstances of Kirk’s murder. Critics have already pointed to a growing list of irregularities: gaps in security, slow police response, and now, a weapon that leaves virtually no paper trail.

It remains unclear how Robinson’s grandfather acquired the gun or whether it was ever officially transferred or registered. Prosecutors have not commented on whether ballistics tests or forensic evidence—such as fingerprints—will be critical to establishing a link between Robinson and the shooting.

Robinson is currently in custody and facing multiple federal and state charges related to the assassination. A preliminary hearing is expected in the coming weeks, but defense attorneys are already suggesting that the government may have a difficult time establishing premeditation or motive, especially given the absence of a direct forensic trail from the firearm.

The revelation about the weapon adds to what many are calling an increasingly bizarre and troubling case—one in which the facts don’t seem to fit the narrative. With prominent political figures attending Kirk’s recent memorial under tight federal security, public scrutiny of the investigation is only expected to intensify.

“This case has gone from tragic to deeply unsettling,” one former FBI profiler told reporters. “An untraceable weapon, a public assassination, and now mounting signs of something much bigger under the surface.”

Armed Man Detained at Charlie Kirk Memorial Site as Authorities Track Multiple Threats Against Trump, Vance

An armed man posing as law enforcement was apprehended Friday at the site of Charlie Kirk’s memorial service in Glendale, Arizona, triggering heightened security concerns ahead of Sunday’s high-profile event expected to draw over 100,000 attendees — including former President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance.

According to law enforcement sources and a memo obtained by ABC News, authorities are monitoring several threats “of unknown credibility” against key speakers and public figures scheduled to attend the memorial. These include Trump, Vance, members of the Kirk family, and a slate of senior government officials and political influencers.

The memorial, titled “Building a Legacy: Remembering Charlie Kirk,” is set to be held at State Farm Stadium, the same venue used by the Arizona Cardinals. In addition to Trump and Vance, the speaker lineup includes Erika Kirk, Marco Rubio, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Pete Hegseth, Tulsi Gabbard, Tucker Carlson, Donald Trump Jr., and others.

According to the Department of Homeland Security, the memorial has been designated a SEAR-1 event — the highest possible security rating typically reserved for Super Bowls and presidential inaugurations. This status enables full federal law enforcement support, including counterterrorism assets, to assist local agencies.

“This designation is reserved for events of the highest national significance,” a DHS official told CBS News. “The goal is to ensure a safe and successful event.”

The man arrested Friday was reportedly carrying both a gun and a knife, and falsely claimed to be a law enforcement officer. Secret Service spokesman Anthony Guglielmi confirmed to Fox News Digital that the individual presented “inactive law enforcement credentials” and is currently in custody.

“The individual is not a member of authorized law enforcement working the event,” Guglielmi said. “He is being investigated by local and federal officials.”

Officials have not released the man’s name or confirmed whether the arrest is directly tied to any of the threats outlined in the federal memo.

Security for Sunday’s memorial will include a vast network of uniformed and plainclothes officers, 300 surveillance cameras, drones, and sniper teams stationed throughout the stadium and surrounding area. A Glendale Police Department spokesperson said the short preparation window made planning unusually intense:

“For the Super Bowl, we had two years to prepare. For this, we had a week. We’re all hands on deck.”

The event is scheduled to begin at 11:00 a.m. local time, with doors opening at 8:00 a.m. Attendees are being advised to dress in red, white, or blue and are subject to a strict no-bag policy — even clear bags are prohibited.
