Democrat Politician Poses Maskless in Room Full of Masked Children

Democratic Georgia gubernatorial candidate is facing backlash after her tweet showing a photo of her sitting maskless amongst a class of masked children went viral Friday.

Abrams visited Glennwood Elementary School as a way to partake in the third annual African-American read in, according to Fox News. Three photos were reportedly taken of Abrams and tweeted by the school’s principal, Dr. Holly Brookins. In a now deleted tweet, Abrams quote tweeted the photo of her and the children from the principal saying that her visit was “spectacular, delightful, and outstanding.”

The incident comes after the Decatur City Commission reinstated its “mandatory mask ordinance” until Feb. 22.

Abrams’ campaign manager issued a statement from the Abrams campaign on Twitter.

“It is shameful that our opponents are using a Black History Month reading event for Georgia children as the impetus for a false political attack,” the statement reads, “and it is pitiful and predictable that our opponents continue to look for opportunities to distract from their failed records when it comes to protecting public health…” (Read more from “Democrat Politician Poses Maskless in Room Full of Masked Children” HERE)

Spotify Appears to Take New Action Against Joe Rogan

Spotify appears to have removed approximately 70 episodes of Joe Rogan’s “The Joe Rogan Experience” as the company faces continued left-wing pressure to boot Rogan, their top performer, from the platform.

“The apparent removal of the episodes, all of which were recorded years before the pandemic began, was spotted by JREMissing,” CNET reported. “The fan-made website uses Spotify’s API to compare available episodes to a database of all episodes recorded.”

Gizmodo reported that it “manually checked” JREMissing’s claim that the episodes had been removed and “confirmed the site’s assessment.”

The move comes after Spotify CEO Daniel Ek reportedly told employees on Wednesday that the platform does not have editorial discretion over Joe Rogan’s #1-rated podcast. The Los Angeles Times reported that the company does not screen his guest list and only takes action after episodes are published.

The article was primarily based off sources who appeared eager to cast the company in a negative light and further put pressure on it to take action against Rogan. (Read more from “Spotify Appears to Take New Action Against Joe Rogan” HERE)

Bloomberg Accidentally Reports That Russia Invaded Ukraine

. . .The financial news site accidentally reported that Russia had invaded Ukraine Friday afternoon with a headline on its homepage.

“Live: Russia invades Ukraine,” read a jarring headline on Bloomberg’s homepage at around 4 p.m.

It stayed up for about 30 minutes, according to Olga Lautman, a Russian analyst who posted the message on social media.

Users who clicked on the eye-popping story — which comes as Russian troops mass on the Ukrainian border and US officials warn of a potential invasion — were shown an error page.

“I went on the site and saw the breaking news but knew it wasn’t real because I deal with Ukraine and will be one of the first to know,” Lautman told The Post. “It is bizarre and a pretty big mistake to make considering this is a potential large scale invasion and everyone is on edge.”

Lawsuit Claims Foreign Powers Sought to Interfere in 2016 Election to Help Hillary Clinton

On Feb. 3, long-time Trump associate Felix Sater filed a cross-complaint in a New York federal court. The complaint alleges that Russian and Kazakhstan-connected individuals and entities conducted “a shadow intelligence operation of Sater and Trump for the purpose of manufacturing information to harm Donald Trump politically,” including by providing Christopher Steele a PowerPoint presentation riddled with lies Steele later fed to the FBI.

Sater’s cross suit comes nearly three years after the City of Almaty, Kazakhstan, and BTA Bank filed suit against Sater, two of the companies he owned, a former business associate, and that associate’s LLCs, in City of Almaty, Kazakhstan v. Sater.

In that lawsuit, filed in May 2019, Almaty and BTA Bank alleged that Sater and the other defendants helped Mukhtar Ablyazov, the former chairman of the BTA Bank, and Viktor Khrapunov, the former mayor of the City of Almaty, launder money the duo had stolen from the plaintiffs. In the case, the plaintiffs sought recovery of millions of dollars in stolen funds, based on claims of fraud, conspiracy, unjust enrichment, and conversion.

While that case has been pending in a federal district court in New York since spring 2019, on Thursday Sater filed for the first time counterclaims against Almaty and BTA Bank. In yesterday’s filing, Sater also added the Republic of Kazakhstan and Arcanum (Asia) Ltd. as parties. Tucker Carlson Reveals Democratic Lawmaker Accused His Show of Having Ties to Russia (VIDEO)

Democrats sure have a habit of accusing those they disagree with of conspiring with Russia, especially lately. That’s not just the case with lawmakers from the other side of the aisle, though White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki did accuse Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) of “parroting Russian talking points” for his position on Ukraine entering NATO. It extends to journalists as well. A recent and chilling example includes Tucker Carlson, who on his Friday night show of “Tucker Carlson Tonight” revealed that Rep. Jim Cooper (D-TN) accused his program of having ties to Russia.

“At an earlier age, this is the point when Matt Lee would’ve gone to the podium and punched him right in the face beer there was a time in this country when calling a man disloyal was a grave and serious charge. You cannot let that stand,” Carlson pointed out. He was referring to an exchange between the AP reporter and Ned Price, the State Department spokesperson, during which Price was less than forthcoming with his evidence that Russia is conducting a “fabricated attack” against Ukraine.

Carlson then revealed that Cooper on Wednesday asked during a closed-door briefing in Congress if the show has ties to Russia. “We are not tied to Russia, of course. It’s a cable television program. He knows that. But that is not the point. We have criticized the Biden administration’s Ukraine policy. So in retaliation for that, Jim Cooper has asked the Intel agencies to dig up dirt on us,” Carlson alleged.

The host also referenced a scandal involving the National Security Agency (NSA), when a whistleblower came forward last summer to reveal that the agency spied on Carlson, as was later confirmed.

“To be clear, that is not allowed. It is illegal to use the U.S. Government to settle partisan scores or to silent opposition journalists. It is also, by the way, illegal to secretly monitor their electronic communication. We are not speculating about it. The NSA admitted that,” Carlson also reminded. Biden Plan Even Worse Than Just National Gun Registry, Critic Charges

It was Rep. Michael Cloud, R-Texas, who just days ago warned of the possibility of an illegal national gun registry being assembled by Joe Biden’s Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms.

He said the “notably corrupt” agency was managing that by acquiring nearly a billion gun transfer records – so far.

He worries those details could be exploited by Biden to surveil American gun owners even while working to ban weapons.

Now John R. Lott Jr., the president of the Crime Prevention Research Center and formerly an adviser for the U.S. Department of Justice’s Office of Legal Policy, is explaining it’s worse than that.

In a column at Real Clear Politics, he explains not only federal officials “will have the name of everyone who legally obtained a gun,” Joe Biden now “wants to make universal background checks nationwide so he can have an even more complete registration list.” (Read more from “Biden Plan Even Worse Than Just National Gun Registry, Critic Charges” HERE)

Pence Says Trump ‘Wrong’ About ‘Un-American’ Idea to Overturn Election

Mike Pence on Friday made his sharpest break yet with Donald Trump, saying the former president was “wrong” about Pence’s ability as vice president to overturn the 2020 election, calling the notion “un-American.”

Trump slammed Pence ahead of the Capitol riot on Jan. 6, 2021, for not having the “courage” to reject swing-state electors for then-President-elect Joe Biden, but Pence until now has more gently pushed back on Trump over it.

“I heard this week that President Trump said I had the right to overturn the election. President Trump is wrong. I had no right to overturn the election,” Pence told a gathering of the Federalist Society in Orlando, Fla.

“The presidency belongs to the American people and the American people alone. And frankly, there is no idea more un-American than the notion than any one person could choose the American president. Under the Constitution, I had no right to change the outcome of our election.”

Pence, 62, is believed to be considering a 2024 campaign for president. Trump, 75, also is teasing a potential 2024 rematch against Biden and has hinted he might not pick Pence as his running mate. (Read more from “Mike Pence Says Trump ‘Wrong’ About ‘Un-American’ Idea to Overturn Election” HERE)

Massive Exodus From Harris’ Office Hits Speechwriting Staff

The exodus of talent from the staff of Vice President Kamala Harris continues.

This time, a report in the New York Post explains, it’s Kate Childs Graham, the head of the speechwriting team, who is to “leave the office.”

The departure is just the latest in a long list of staff members who have fled amid multiple reports of dysfunction and antagonism in the office.

Harris’ speeches have, in fact, created a ruckus even in her own party, with criticism from both insiders and outsiders to her recent comparison of the Jan. 6, 2021, riot at the Capitol to the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor in 1941 where thousands died.

Then there also was the comparison to the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks on New York and Washington by Islamic terrorists, where thousands also died. (Read more from “Massive Exodus From Harris’ Office Hits Speechwriting Staff” HERE)

What You Need to Know About Alex Vindman’s Lawsuit Against Trump Officials

On Feb. 2, Alex Vindman, the driving force of the first impeachment of President Donald Trump, filed suit in a federal court in D.C. against Donald Trump Jr, the former president’s son; Rudy Giuliani, the president’s former personal attorney; Julia Hahn, the former special assistant to the president; and Daniel Scavino Jr, a Trump communications official.

Vindman’s lawsuit alleges the four defendants conspired to intimidate and retaliate against him, in violation of the Ku Klux Klan Act of 1871. Here’s what you need to know about Wednesday’s lawsuit. . .

As noted, Vindman sued the four Trump-connected defendants under the Ku Klux Klan Act of 1871. While Vindman’s reliance on that federal statute, which sought to address violence and other discriminatory practices in the Reconstruction South, strikes an odd chord, the Supreme Court has made clear that courts should give the various reconstruction statutes “a sweep as broad as their language.” The language on which Vindman relies in his first count, Section 1985(1), is indeed broad, providing:

If two or more persons in any State or Territory conspire to prevent, by force, intimidation, or threat, any person from accepting or holding any office, trust, or place of confidence under the United States, or from discharging any duties thereof; or to induce by like means any officer of the United States to leave any State, district, or place, where his duties as an officer are required to be performed, or to injure him in his person or property on account of his lawful discharge of the duties of his office, or while engaged in the lawful discharge thereof, or to injure his property so as to molest, interrupt, hinder, or impede him in the discharge of his official duties; the party so injured or deprived may have an action for the recovery of damages occasioned by such injury or deprivation, against any one or more of the conspirators.

Thus, to properly allege a claim under Section 1985(1), Vindman need not allege any racial bias. Rather, he merely needs to “allege four elements: (1) an agreement between two or more persons; (2) to participate in an unlawful act, or a lawful act in an unlawful manner; (3) an injury caused by an unlawful overt act performed by one of the parties to the agreement; (4) which overt act was done pursuant to and in furtherance of the common scheme.” (Read more from “What You Need to Know About Alex Vindman’s Lawsuit Against Trump Officials” HERE)

CNN Boss and Lover Had ‘Inappropriately’ Deep Ties to Disgraced Gov. Cuomo

CNN boss Jeff Zucker and his paramour Allison Gollust had an inappropriately close friendship with former Gov. Andrew Cuomo — personally calling him to do news segments with his brother Chris Cuomo and even coaching him on what to say during his infamous COVID briefings, The Post has learned.

Gollust and Zucker — the latter of whom dramatically quit CNN Wednesday after their affair was exposed — also gave Andrew Cuomo endless positive coverage because of their relationship, sources said.

“While those 11:30 a.m. daily briefings by Andrew were across every network, they boosted ratings in a poorly performing slot for CNN,” one source said.

According to a source to Cuomo, “Zucker and Gollust even advised Andrew what to say — how to respond and particularly how to hit back at [President Donald] Trump to make it more compelling TV.

“No network head should be coaching an elected official,” the source added. “It’s absolutely the antithesis of CNN’s standards of business.” (Read more from “CNN Boss and Lover Had ‘Inappropriately’ Deep Ties to Disgraced Gov. Cuomo” HERE)
