If Trump Had Greenlighted Russia to Invade Ukraine Like Biden Just Did, He’d Be Accused of Corruption

President Biden was actually operating from a coherent perspective in discussing Russia and Ukraine in Wednesday’s press conference: In every instance, as you go line-for-line in the transcript, his foreign policy—and the fact that he announced it to the world—is one where Russia has leverage over Biden and the president has a personal vendetta against the current Ukrainian government.

When asked whether sanctions would deter Vladimir Putin from attacking Ukraine, our commander in chief replied that Russia “will be held accountable if it invades,” but then clarified: “It depends on what it does. It’s one thing if it’s a minor incursion and then we end up having a fight about what to do and not do, et cetera.” Biden then juxtaposed a “minor incursion,” which would lead to a North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) fight over how to respond, with Russia doing “what they’re capable of doing with the forces amassed on the border.”

In that case, Biden assured the audience—which surely included Putin and his top military leaders—“our allies and partners are ready to impose severe costs and significant harm on Russia and the Russian economy.” Biden then proceeded to ramble aloud his internal thoughts on Putin’s thinking before adding, in reference to Ukraine, “My guess is he will move in. He has to do something.” . . .

For years, the anti-Trump contingent used the Steele dossier and its claim that Russia held leverage over the president to fan the flames of a Trump-Russia conspiracy. But the Russia-leverage narrative extended beyond the discredited dossier and continued throughout Trump’s term.

For instance, in a May 2019 article titled, “Donald Trump’s Foreign Policy ‘Is One Where Russia Has Leverage Over Him,’ Former CIA Official Says,” Newsweek discussed a former CIA and defense official’s appearance on MSNBC. Appearing on the cable network’s “Morning Joe,” Jeremy Bash “argued that Trump’s international policies appear to be impacted by Russian ‘leverage over him’” the Newsweek article explained. Nearly 1,000 Fully Vaccinated Washington Residents Die of COVID-19 in 1 Year

Nearly 1,000 fully vaccinated residents in Washington State have died of COVID-19 even as infection rates begin to decline.

Between Jan. 17, 2021, and Jan. 8, 2022, health officials in Washington State recorded a total of 969 breakthrough COVID-19 deaths. The ages of the vaccinated people who died of COVID-19 ranged from 31 to 103, with the median age being 79.

Among the 969 deceased, 614 had underlying medical conditions and 343 are still under investigation. At least 679 people with COVID-19 were also admitted to hospitals, a report from the state’s Department of Health showed.

During the same period, health officials also recorded 162,307 breakthrough infections. At least 31% said they developed symptoms and 3% were hospitalized.

A “breakthrough” case is defined when a person tests positive for COVID-19 two weeks after being fully vaccinated or boosted. (Read more from “Nearly 1,000 Fully Vaccinated Washington Residents Die of COVID-19 in 1 Year” HERE)

The Stock Market Is a ‘Superbubble’ About to Burst, Top Hedge Fund Manager Warns

Stocks are off to a tough start this year. The tech-heavy Nasdaq is already in a correction, a more than 10% drop. And if one the most influential hedge fund managers is to be believed, this could be only the beginning of a very painful time for investors.

Jeremy Grantham, co-founder and chief investment strategist of Grantham, Mayo, & van Otterloo (GMO) said in a report called “Let the Wild Rumpus Begin” that stocks are now in the midst of a “superbubble,” that it won’t end well. . .

He noted that US stocks have experienced two such “superbubbles” before: 1929, a market fall that led to the Great Depression, and again in 2000, when the dot-com bubble burst. He also said the US housing market was a “superbubble” in 2006 and that the 1989 Japanese stock and housing markets were both “superbubbles.” . . .

“In a bubble, no one wants to hear the bear case. It is the worst kind of party-pooping,” Grantham wrote. “For bubbles, especially superbubbles where we are now, are often the most exhilarating financial experiences of a lifetime.” (Read more from “The Stock Market Is a ‘Superbubble’ About to Burst, Top Hedge Fund Manager Warns” HERE)

Weak Blinken: Ultimately, Putin Will Decide if Russia Invades Ukraine

Friday on ABC News’ “Good Morning America,” Secretary of State Antony Blinken sounded off on the growing tension between Russia and Ukraine. . .

“Bottom line, are we further or closer away from war?” host George Stephanopoulos asked.

“You really have to ask President Putin,” Blinken replied. “It’s ultimately going to be President Putin who decides what Russia will do. But here’s where we are: Based on what we’ve heard in the last couple of weeks, we will put in writing both some deep concerns that we and other allies and partners have about Russia’s actions, not just with regard to Ukraine but more broadly when it comes to things that it does to threaten security. We’ll address some of the concerns that Russia has raised with us, and we’ll put some ideas on the table for how we might actually strengthen each other’s sense of security going forward. And then based on that and based on Russia’s response, we anticipate that we’ll get together again across the table and see if we continue to advance this through diplomacy.” (Read more from “Weak Blinken: Ultimately, Putin Will Decide if Russia Invades Ukraine” HERE)

SCOTUS Declines to Intervene in Challenge Over Texas Abortion Law

The Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) rejected another request to block Texas’ law, S.B. 8, which bans abortions after fetal heartbeat detection.

The Texas Tribune reported that abortion providers in the legal challenge against S.B. 8 requested SCOTUS to intervene in their ongoing lawsuit, Whole Woman’s Health v. Jackson.

Last month, as I covered, SCOTUS upheld S.B. 8 and returned the case back to the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. SCOTUS did not allow the Department of Justice’s (DOJ) separate lawsuit over S.B. 8, United States v. Texas, to move forward.

This week, I covered that the Fifth Circuit sent the case to the Texas Supreme Court, which is “expected to add months to the legal proceedings,” the Tribune explained in their report.

S.B. 8, which took effect Sept. 1, bans abortions at approximately six weeks gestation and allows private citizens to pursue legal action against anyone who provides an illegal abortion or “aids or abets” and illegal abortion. Those who successfully bring lawsuits under S.B. 8 can receive $10,000. As I reported, abortions in the state dropped by half in October – one month after the law took effect. The CDC Has Destroyed Public Trust by Pushing Obvious Falsehoods

Tens of millions of Americans who have relied on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s advice on dealing with Covid-19 are now adrift. Maggie Koerth, a senior science writer for FiveThirtyEight, charges that the agency “mired in political influence” has “failed to address many of the most relevant questions for day-to-day decision-making.”

This lack of leadership has consequences, Koerth observes. Having lost faith in the CDC’s ever-changing advice, many who previously heeded its counsel are now seeking wisdom “in the dark alleys of the internet, hoping the information we’re getting is the real deal and not just another cheap Rolex.”

Koerth is among those who have followed — or tried to follow — CDC’s shifting and often poorly evidenced guidance. They wore gloves when CDC told them to wear gloves, ditched the gloves and donned cloth masks when told they warded off viruses, cleansed their food with Clorox wipes and their hands with Purell, locked themselves and their families in their homes, got “fully vaccinated” with two jabs, and then a third when told that two weren’t enough, strapped masks on their two-year-olds, and got their kids vaxxed, double-vaxxed, and triple-vaxxed. . .

First, hospitals routinely test everyone they admit for Covid-19. According to Health and Human Services, just over 22 percent of inpatient beds were “in use for COVID-19” on January 19. That doesn’t mean that 22 percent of inpatients occupied those beds because they tested positive for Covid. Many were receiving treatment for conditions unrelated to Covid.

Second, the administration does not keep track of how many hospitalized patients with positive Covid tests are vaccinated. Other countries do. Their data do not support the president’s indictment of the unvaccinated. (Read more from “The CDC Has Destroyed Public Trust by Pushing Obvious Falsehoods” HERE)

Biden’s Latest Fed Nominee Might Be Cooked

President Joe Biden’s latest high-profile Fed nominee is in danger of being struck down in the Senate because she is widely seen by her peers as a left-wing activist rather than a serious monetary economist, several economists told the Daily Caller News Foundation.

Biden appointed Lisa Cook, a professor of international relations and economics at Michigan State University and former Obama White House staffer, on Jan. 13 to serve on the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve, which regulates the banking industry.

Critics, including some in the Senate, say that she is not qualified for such an important job and has mischaracterized her economics experience.

A senior Republican Senate aide, who requested anonymity because they are not authorized to speak on Republican strategy, told the DCNF that Cook is one of the least qualified nominees in the Fed’s history. The aide stressed that Cook’s scholarship has no connection to monetary economics or the Fed’s dual mandate.

Cook claims that she is a macroeconomist, but a review of her published work does not show any peer-reviewed macroeconomic publications. (Read more from “Biden’s Latest Fed Nominee Might Be Cooked” HERE)

Experts Reveal the One Thing That Could Finally ‘Shut Down’ COVID-19

It may be the Omicron variant — not any particular government policy or public health strategy — that ultimately “shuts down” the COVID-19 pandemic, according to experts.

There’s ample evidence that Omicron is a milder strain of COVID-19 than previous versions, such as Delta. Several doctors and health experts who spoke with the Daily Caller said that a more infectious, less deadly form of COVID-19 spreading rapidly throughout the population could ultimately result in a post-pandemic state of widespread natural immunity.

Researchers have found that Omicron is far less likely to put someone in the hospital or be fatal than earlier strains of COVID-19. It’s also highly contagious, leading to skyrocketing record case numbers in the U.S. and elsewhere. In addition to almost two-thirds of Americans who are fully vaccinated, any individual who has survived a bout with COVID-19 has been conferred some level of natural immunity that will lessen their chance of reinfection or serious illness in the future.

While most natural immunity studies and research occurred before Omicron was dominant, there’s no reason to believe this variant won’t confer strong levels of protection to survivors as well, Dr. Martin Kulldorff, an epidemiologist and former professor at the Harvard School of Medicine, told the Daily Caller. Senator Slams ‘Sexist’ Biden for Calling Fox News Reporter’s Question ‘Stupid’

Sen. Marsha Blackburn has claimed President Biden was being “sexist” when he called Fox News reporter Jacqui Heinrich’s inquiry about Russia-Ukraine tensions “stupid” on Thursday.

“This is extremely sexist and uncalled for. @JacquiHeinrich is a well-prepared, smart reporter, and Biden should apologize immediately,” Blackburn (R-Tenn.) tweeted.

Biden made the snipe Thursday afternoon as reporters were being shooed out of the White House-adjacent Eisenhower Executive Office Building.

“Why are you waiting on [Russian President Vladimir] Putin to make the first move, sir?” Heinrich asked.

The president gave a disbelieving look and muttered to a group of science policy advisers, “What a stupid question.” (Read more from “Senator Slams ‘Sexist’ Biden for Calling Fox News Reporter’s Question ‘Stupid’” HERE)

Biden Approval Hits Two Record Lows After Disastrous Press Conference; White House Gaslighting America, Trying to Convince U.S. ‘Biden Didn’t Say What We All Heard Him Say’

The early polling after His Fraudulency Joe Biden’s disastrous press conference sees the enfeebled president hitting two record lows in the RealClearPolitics poll of polls.

For the first time in his failed presidency, Biden’s average approval rating has sunk to a dismal 40.5 percent.

Additionally, for the first time in his failed presidency, Biden’s average disapproval rating has hit an all-time high of 55.3 percent.

His Fraudulency is now upside-down by a whopping 14.8 points.

While we will know more about the post-press conference polling after the weekend, it is no surprise to see the numbers headed in this direction directly after that shambolic Wednesday afternoon White House press conference.
