Times Left-Wing Protesters Broke Into Government Buildings and Assaulted Democracy

Self-absorbed congressional Democrats held a group therapy session on Capitol Hill on Thursday as they work tirelessly to immortalize Jan. 6 as an annual day of doom, but the rest of us are old enough to remember a few more times when riots and protests overwhelmed government buildings with no such theatrical response.

More than a few times, actually. The 2020 summer of rage was more or less “incited” by these same top Democrats, who race-baited as if their lives depended on it, and even our vice president, who helped bail violent rioters out of jail. It featured a number of these attacks on the government (which strangely weren’t called attacks on democracy at the time). . .

On Oct. 14, 2021, climate activists breached the Interior Department, with demonstrators who were left outside struggling with law enforcement officers as they reportedly tried to force their way in, shouting “Go inside! Go inside!” Some activists vandalized a building, while others pinned police against a wall. The ordeal resulted in a number of injuries, according to multiple sources, with a police officer being transported to the hospital. . .

In June 2020, then-President Donald Trump, First Lady Melania Trump, and their son Barron were reportedly rushed to a secure bunker when a group of protesters breached temporary barricades that had been set up around the White House complex. . .

In 2011, thousands of people opposed to Republican Gov. Scott Walker filled the Wisconsin state Capitol, screaming in opposition to the governor’s budget repair bill.

Ivy League Pledges ‘Unwavering Commitment’ to Trans Swimmer Lia Thomas

University of Pennsylvania transgender swimmer Lia Thomas has received “unwavering” support from the Ivy League despite his unfair advantage over female competitors.

Thomas, a biological male, has been shattering women’s records in college swimming this season and raising the hackles of many of his teammates in the process. But while many of his peers are not pleased with the performance, Thomas is being supported by the NCAA.

“Over the past several years, Lia and the University of Pennsylvania worked with the NCAA to follow all of the appropriate protocols in order to comply with the NCAA policy on transgender athlete participation and compete on the Penn women’s swimming and diving team. The Ivy League has adopted and applies the same NCAA policy,” the conference said in a Thursday statement.

“The Ivy League reaffirms its unwavering commitment to providing an inclusive environment for all student-athletes while condemning transphobia and discrimination in any form,” the statement continued.

“The league welcomes her participation in the sport of women’s swimming and diving and looks forward to celebrating the success of all of our student-athletes throughout the season,” the statement concluded. Trump’s New Social Media Platform Set to Launch on Presidents’ Day

Former President Donald Trump’s new social media platform Truth Social is expected to launch on Presidents’ Day, Feb. 21, according to the latest Apple App Store listing.

Truth Social, which the 45th president announced in October, is the latest conservative alternative to large social media platforms like Twitter and Facebook, which the former president has repeatedly slammed for censorship.

The new app is being launched by Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG) and can be preordered before its expected release date.

According to the app store listing, users of the platform can share their “unique opinion by posting a TRUTH, Re-TRUTH, photo, news story or video link to communicate with your friends, customers, and the world.”

America Last: Biden Frees Record Number of Illegal Aliens Into U.S. Via ‘Catch and Release’

President Joe Biden has released a record number of border crossers and illegal aliens into the United States interior via a little-known federal program used as part of a larger “Catch and Release” policy.

As of late December 2021, Biden has placed about 150,755 border crossers into the government’s Alternatives to Detention (ATD) program, wherein border crossers are apprehended and quickly released into the U.S. interior with minimal tracking.

In some circumstances, ATD simply places ankle monitors on border crossers before releasing them into the U.S. interior. Border crossers often tear the ankle monitors off. In other circumstances, ATD asks border crossers to report to the government via telephone or be monitored by a smartphone application.

An official with the Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse (TRAC) at Syracuse University, which compiles the data, told Border Report that this is the highest number of border crossers placed into the ATD program since its inception in 2004. Prince Andrew Accuser Will No Longer Accept Payout

Prince Andrew’s sex accuser had sought $5 million to settle out of court — but will no longer accept a potential payout because she wants the case to go to trial, according to a report.

Virginia Roberts Giuffre, 38, is suing the 61-year-old UK royal for allegedly having sex with her three times starting when she was just 17.

Sources told The Telegraph that she initially sought a settlement of $5 million from Andrew — 10 times the $500,000 she got from Jeffrey Epstein, the late pedophile who she says ordered her to have “disgusting” sex with the prince.

But now that the case looks set to go to trial later this year, the longtime accuser is no longer willing to settle out of court, the paper’s sources said.

Giuffre — a founder of the nonprofit Speak Out, Act, Reclaim (SOAR) helping sex-trafficking victims — wants to instead show the legal consequences for those preying on young girls, the paper said. (Read more from “Prince Andrew Accuser Will No Longer Accept Payout” HERE)

Democrats Quietly Explore Barring Trump From Office Over Jan. 6

In the year since the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol, a handful of Democrats, constitutional scholars and pro-democracy advocates have been quietly exploring how a post-Civil War amendment to the Constitution might be used to disqualify former President Trump from holding office again.

Calls for Congress to take steps to strip Trump of his eligibility, which reached a crescendo in the aftermath of the Jan. 6 riot, have since decreased. But those who remain engaged on the issue say discussions about applying Section 3 of the 14th Amendment have been ongoing.

“If anything, the idea has waxed and waned,” said Laurence Tribe, a constitutional expert at Harvard Law School. “I hear it being raised with considerable frequency these days both by media commentators and by members of Congress and their staffs, some of whom have sought my advice on how to implement Section 3.”

An analysis by The Hill found that around a dozen Democratic lawmakers have spoken either publicly or privately over the last year about how Section 3 of the 14th Amendment might apply to those who engaged in insurrection on Jan. 6.

Among those whose offices have spoken recently with Tribe are Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-Md.), who sits on the Jan. 6 House Select Committee; Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-N.Y.), who chairs the powerful House Judiciary Committee; and Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-Fla.). Trump Approval Higher Than Day He Left, 85% In GOP: Poll

Former President Donald Trump’s approval rating has increased since he left office a year ago, and nearly 9 in 10 Republicans now have a favorable view of him.

In dual surveys on Thursday showing Trump’s rise and successor President Joe Biden’s fall, 52% of voters told Rasmussen Reports that they have a favorable impression of the former president. Some 47% don’t.

Among Republicans, 85% have a favorable view, with 63% declaring a “very favorable” opinion. Even 23% of Democrats and 51% of independents agree.

When he left office on Jan. 20, 2021, Trump’s Rasmussen approval rating was 51%. And his GOP approval was 84%, so he has actually increased support.

The survey, like others before it, shows that many Republicans are sticking with Trump despite efforts by legacy media and Democrats to ridicule the 45th president and blame him for the Jan. 6 Capitol riots and dividing the nation. New Law Will Install Kill Switches in All New Cars

Back in 1998, sci-fi TV series The X-Files aired an episode called “Kill Switch” about an AI gone rogue. Told when the internet was still accessed by most using dial-up modems, it was a fascinating tale of technology run amuck, a message about not handing too much of your life over to the digital world. While it might also seem like a sci-fi tale, soon enough the United States federal government could force automakers to install kill switches authorities can access and use to shut down any newer vehicle.

To many, that might sound like a wonderful idea. After all, we’ve seen wanted criminals who have fled from police only to crash into a car with a family inside, killing innocents as they try to avoid capture. Being able to stop the pursuit early and almost instantaneously seems like a wonderful thing, a potential lifesaver any law-abiding citizen would enthusiastically embrace.

According to an article written by former U.S. Representative Bob Barr, hidden away in the recently passed infrastructure bill, the very one I warned before would negatively impact drivers across the country if it were to pass, is a measure to install vehicle kill switches into every new car, truck, and SUV sold in this country. The regulation likely won’t be enforced for five years, so maybe there’s time to do something about this.

As we’ve seen both in this country and others recently, what constitutes “law-abiding” can change drastically overnight. For example, in September a car was pulled over in New Zealand and the occupants arrested when police discovered the trunk was full of Kentucky Fried Chicken meals. They were smuggling the fast food to customers in locked-down Auckland, against quarantine measures. Yet not too long before, delivering restaurant orders to people was considered a reputable, legal activity.

It gets even better: Barr points out that the bill, which has been signed into law by President Biden, states that the kill switch, which is referred to as a safety device, must “passively monitor the performance of a driver of a motor vehicle to accurately identify whether that driver may be impaired.” In other words, Big Brother will constantly be monitoring how you drive. If you do something the system has been programmed to recognize as driver impairment, your car could just shut off, which could be incredibly dangerous. Former Biden Advisers Urge Him to Change COVID Strategy

Six public health advisers who previously advised President Joe Biden during his presidential transition have come forward in publishing three opinion articles in Journal of the American Medical Association urging the president to shift course on his response to COVID-19.

As the Omicron variant continues to spread throughout the country, America has seen a 247 percent increase in the number of reported cases over the past two weeks. Chicago teachers are moving to take classes online, Portland, Oregon, has shuttered its restaurants, and Capitol doctors have urged Congress to work remote.

Biden’s former advisers, who include Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel; Michael Osterholm; Dr. Celine Gounder; Rick Bright; David Michaels; and Dr. Luciana Borio, have taken a stand in urging that it is time for America to redefine the level of risk COVID-19 poses on the nation and change its response strategies as it appears all but likely that “COVID-19 is here to stay.” . .

Biden Unleashes on Trump, but Ignores Real Election 2020 Challenges

Joe Biden on Thursday, the anniversary of the Jan. 6, 2021, riot at the U.S. Capitol, unleashed a vitriolic attack on “former president” Donald Trump, but ignored the evidence that there were, in fact, issues coming out of the 2020 presidential election that should cause concern for Americans.

Those issues are that a review of the impact of the decision by leftist legacy and social media companies to suppress accurate reporting about Hunter Biden and his foreign dealings, some apparently involving Joe Biden, revealed that had those reports been carried more widely, enough people would have withheld their vote for Joe Biden to keep Trump in the White House. . .

Biden, according to the Washington Examiner, charged, “For the first time in our history, a president had not just lost an election, he tried to prevent the peaceful transfer of power as a violent mob breached the Capitol. But they failed. They failed.”

He claimed that, “A former president of the United States has created and spread a web of lies about the 2020 election. He’s done so because he values power over principle … he can’t accept that he lost.”

And he incorrectly claimed, “Right now, in state after state, new laws are being written, not to protect the vote but to deny it. Not only to suppress the vote but to subvert it … the former president and his supporters have decided the only way for them to win is to suppress your vote and to subvert our elections.
