Major Health System Terminates Hundreds of Employees for Refusing to Get COVID-19 Vaccine

Amid the nationwide spike in omicron cases, the Mayo Clinic moved forward with firing 700 employees on Tuesday who refused to get the Covid-19 vaccine.

Employees of the Rochester-based health system had until Monday to comply with the mandate or receive a religious or medical exemption.

“While final numbers are still not available, nearly 99% of staff across all Mayo Clinic locations have complied with the required vaccination program, meaning they have been vaccinated or have received medical or religious exemptions,” the clinic said in a statement.

“This means that approximately 1% of staff across all locations will be released from employment as a result of the required vaccination program,” the statement continued. “This is comparable to what other health care organizations have experienced in implementing similar vaccine requirement programs. ”

Poll Shows U.S. Public Consensus: The Nation Is Declining

A consensus of 77 percent of Americans says the nation’s society and culture are decaying, and only 10 percent believe the nation is improving, according to a new poll by the Trafalgar Group.

The views of Democrats were similar to the overall population. Sixty-one percent of Democrats say the nation is in a “state of decay.”

Only 15 percent of Democrats said the country is progressing — even though the White House, the House, and the Senate are all dominated by older Democrats.

Republicans are more pessimistic. Only four percent see progress while 86 percent see decay.

Mike Pompeo Reveals How He Lost 90 Pounds in Just Six Months

Daily exercise and a better diet — that’s the secret to healthy weight loss, according to former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.

In an interview with the New York Post Thursday, Pompeo revealed that he was able to drop 90 pounds since last June, when he realized he weighed nearly 300 and decided something had to change.

“I started exercising, not every day, but nearly every day, and eating right and the weight just started to come off,” he told the Post.

Speculation about Pompeo’s weight loss swirled online after he appeared on Sean Hannity’s Fox News program in October sporting a new, slimmer physique. Some suggested that he had reconstructive surgery, others spread rumors that he had health issues or had contracted COVID-19 and so had dramatically lost weight. Proof of a Set Up? Feds Won’t Say Why Armed ‘Capitol Rioters’ Disappeared From FBI’s Most Wanted List; Pelosi Owns The J6 Commission, And That’s Why It Failed

By Washington Examiner. Federal authorities won’t explain why three men who participated in the Capitol riot on Jan. 6, 2021, have mysteriously disappeared from the FBI’s Capitol Violence Most Wanted list.

One unidentified man wore an earpiece during the riot and was filmed carrying what appeared to be a concealed handgun on his left hip. The man was pictured on the FBI’s most wanted list for over five months until he was removed without explanation on the same day the New York Times reported an FBI informant was at the Capitol on Jan. 6.

A second unidentified man was filmed beating police officers with a baton during the riot. The FBI said the man was wanted for assaulting a federal law enforcement officer, but the agency removed the man from its most wanted list without explanation in late February, just weeks after his debut.

The third man, Ray Epps of Arizona, was filmed in the hours leading up to the riot urging Trump supporters to enter the Capitol to stop the certification of President Joe Biden’s election victory.

Epps has not been arrested or charged for his actions. His unexplained removal from the FBI’s most wanted list on July 1 has fueled speculation from a member of the House Judiciary Committee that Epps may have agitated people to storm the Capitol at the behest of the FBI. Pelosi Owns The J6 Commission, And That’s Why It Failed

By The Federalist. Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi’s January 6 Commission was supposed to help Democrats hold onto their slim majority during tough 2022 midterm elections. Instead, it stumbled out of the gate, failed to gain legitimacy among the public, and has been plagued with serious legal and ethical problems.

Pelosi’s decision to politically exploit the riot at the Capitol was a no-brainer. Democrats nearly lost the chamber in 2020 when Democrats took control of the Senate and presidency. The president’s party almost always loses significant numbers of House seats during midterm elections. The only time that didn’t happen in recent history was 2002, following the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Pelosi understandably felt her best bet to preserve power was, with a massive assist from left-wing media, to somehow turn disgruntled Donald Trump supporters’ riot at the Capitol into the next 9/11.

There were massive problems with the scheme. For one thing, Republicans had immediately and vociferously denounced the riot. This was a far cry from the Summer of Violence, when Democrats and their media enablers cheered as leftist groups destroyed sectors of cities throughout the country, resulting in “some 15 times more injured police officers, 23 times as many arrests, and estimated damages in dollar terms up to 1,300 times more costly than those of the Capitol riot.”

Democrats did not condemn these serious and lengthy attacks on the White House, federal courthouses, police buildings, private businesses, and homes. Instead, they joined with the rioters in calling for the defunding of police and other radical measures.

The riots were the result of a deeply destructive lie, pushed by top Democrats, that the country and its policing are irredeemably evil and racist. What’s more, any and all attempts to quell the siege of federal buildings were condemned in the most hysterical terms by Pelosi and other Democrats.

Mike Pence’s Staff Is Giving up the Goods to the Jan. 6 Committee: Report

Mike Pence’s office is cooperating the the Jan. 6 committee.

Axios reported on Wednesday that “many” figures around the former vice president have voluntarily testified, including his former chief of staff, Marc Short, and his former press secretary, Alyssa Farrah. Keith Kellogg, Pence’s national security adviser who was subpoenaed by the committee in November, also gave a deposition.

‘He Is Not Your Commander-In-Chief:’ Texas Governor Promises Guardsmen He’ll Fight Biden Over Vaccine Mandate

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott is digging in against COVID-19 vaccinations and related mandates, telling National Guardsmen in his state they can ignore Pentagon inoculation rules and will not face any retribution for not getting coronavirus vaccines.

On Tuesday, the Republican governor, who is facing challenges from his political right in a reelection bid next year, threatened to file a federal lawsuit challenging the Biden administration’s authority to order troops to be inoculated against COVID-19.

“Unless President Biden federalizes the Texas National Guard in accordance with Title 10 of the U.S. Code, he is not your commander-in-chief under our federal or state Constitutions,” Abbott said in a letter for Maj. Gen. Tracy Norris, the adjutant general of the Texas National Guard. “And as long as I am your commander-in-chief, I will not tolerate efforts to compel receipt of a COVID-19 vaccine.”

Abbott, along with at least six other Republican governors including Oklahoma, Wyoming, Alaska, Iowa, Mississippi and Nebraska, have asked the Pentagon to exempt their Guardsmen from coronavirus vaccine mandates, asserting their authority while troops serve under their command. Another Top Staffer for Kamala Harris Escapes Vice President

Normally when an administration is fired by voters, it doesn’t take long for staff members to join the job market and leave.

Well there’s been no firing yet, but those departures already are happening in Kamala Harris’ office.

The Daily Wire reports that now a third aide to the vice president has exited.

That would be Vincent Evans, her deputy director of public engagement and intergovernmental affairs, who left to join the Congressional Black Caucus, a move the Daily Wire described as “certainly” “less than a lateral move.” . . .

Another, anonymous, staff member told the Washington Post only a few weeks ago, “With Kamala, you have to put up with a constant amount of soul-destroying criticism and also her own lack of confidence. What Are They Hiding? Trans Activists Refuse to Publish Unfavorable Data on Trans Sports Debate

A trio of left-wing organizations refused to publish their full data set on Americans’ opinions on trans youth in sports after admitting that women’s sports advocates “win the debate on trans youth in sports against any and all arguments we have tried,” according to a messaging guide from the organizations.

ASO Communications, a self-defined “progressive” communications firm, published a messaging guide in coordination with the Transgender Law Center and a Democratic research firm, Lake Research Partners. Activists are told to build on the existing “Race Class Narrative” — which dubs anything other than social justice activism as racist — to persuade American voters to favorably view biological men competing in women’s sports.

“This new approach builds on the Race Class Narrative to demand to tell a convincing story of how our opposition uses strategic racism and transphobia to harm us all,” the guide reads.

The guidebook is not available on the Lake Research Partners or Transgender Law Center’s website, though it was archived at a small blog and available on the ASO Communications website. Give Us a Break: Psaki Says Biden Has No ‘Time to Think’ Despite Frequent Trips Home

White House press secretary Jen Psaki said Wednesday that President Biden thinks he needs more downtime — despite the fact that he’s spent more than a quarter of his days in office at one of his Delaware homes.

“I know the president doesn’t have public events today,” Psaki told reporters during her regular briefing. “He does have a number of meetings with policy teams and that’s often what he’s doing behind the scenes.”

“If he were standing here today — which I know he’s always invited, is what you guys will say, but he would say we never give him any free time or any time to think,” the press secretary added. “And that is probably true.”

Biden, 79, is the oldest person to be president and returned Monday to the White House from his home in Wilmington, Del., where he routinely spends weekends. He took no reporter questions on Monday or Tuesday amid record-high COVID-19 cases caused by the more contagious Omicron variant.

The president has spent part of at least 95 days in Delaware, about 27 percent of his term so far, according to former CBS News reporter Mark Knoller, who is respected for his record-keeping on presidential statistics.

Americans Don’t Think Radical Gun Laws Are Curbing Crime Surge in Major Cities

Americans do not believe that strict gun laws are properly addressing the rise in retail crime in major cities, a Convention of States Action/Trafalgar Group survey released Wednesday found.

The survey asked respondents, “Do you believe that the strict gun laws in most major cities are making the current retail crime surge better or worse?”

Overall, a plurality, or 47.1 percent, said they are making “no difference.” Over one-third, 37.3 percent, said the laws are making it “worse,” while 15.6 percent say “better.”

A majority of Republicans, 54.6 percent, said the gun laws are making the crime “worse,” but a majority of Democrats (53.8 percent) and independents (50.7 percent) said it makes “no difference.”

Notably, just 30.1 percent of Democrats believe the laws are making the situation better, but only 7.3 percent of Republicans and 9.8 percent of independents share that view.
