Report: Civil War In Afghanistan Is ‘Likely’

Gen. Mark Milley, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, believes there’s a good chance of an Afghan civil war in the near future following the United States’s military withdrawal.

The U.S. ended the war in Afghanistan last week, leaving the Taliban in control of the country, though it’s too soon to tell if the terrorist organization will be able to field a functioning government.

“My military estimate is… that the conditions are likely to develop of a civil war,” Milley told Fox News . “I don’t know if the Taliban is going to [be] able to consolidate power and establish governance.”

“I think there’s at least a very good probability of a broader civil war and that will then, in turn, lead to conditions that could, in fact, lead to a reconstitution of al-Qaeda or a growth of ISIS or other myriad of terrorist groups,” he added. “You could see a resurgence of terrorism coming out of that general region within 12, 24, 36 months. And we’re going to monitor that.”

Various Biden administration officials and Pentagon top brass have said the military will work to combat the growth of terrorism in Afghanistan through “over the horizon” capabilities. However, the military will be at a disadvantage due to a lack of troops on the ground to help with intelligence. (Read more from “Report: Civil War In Afghanistan Is ‘Likely'” HERE)

Former FBI Agent Says 9-11 Hijackers Had U.S.-Based Support

At least two of the 9-11 hijackers probably had a U.S.-based support network, according to a former FBI agent.

Danny Gonzalez worked on “Operation Encore,” the still-secret investigation into the two Saudi hijackers who were based in San Diego. Gonzalez told CBS News he’s confident the records of that operation will show the hijackers had help.

“19 hijackers cannot commit 3,000 mass murders by themselves,” Gonzalez told the network.

President Biden signed an executive order Friday directing the Department of Justice to oversee a declassification review of some documents related to the 9/11 attacks, after pressure from families of victims who are demanding to know if Saudi Arabia helped the hijackers. The DOJ must release any declassified documents in the next six months.

Some records pertain to “Operation Encore,” which began two years after the commission’s report. (Read more from “Former FBI Agent Says 9-11 Hijackers Had U.S.-Based Support” HERE)

Border Patrol Forced To Take Matters Into Their Own Hands To Fill Hole Left by Biden Admin

When President Biden took office in January, his administration ordered an immediate halt on the construction of a 30-foot high border fence, leaving a gaping hole at one of the most vulnerable stretches of the US-Mexican border.

The 20-foot gap in the frontier wall at Border Monument Three — one of the 276 original markers erected after the Mexican-American War in 1848 — was allowing thousands of smugglers and migrants to cross into the US with relative ease, Border Patrol agents told The Post last week.

“The contractors just stopped,” said Richard Barragan, a Border Patrol agent in the El Paso Sector, pointing to the broken wall and a brace leftover by federal contractors still hanging from the iron fence when they hastily abandoned construction in January.

Along the nearly 2,000-mile southern border, thousands of tons of steel and other building materials have gathered rust since the order to halt construction, Border Patrol agents said. The Same CDC That Can’t Figure Out What a Man Is Now Wants to ‘Study Guns’

Crime continues to spike in communities across America. The weekend tallies from Chicago’s gang-related crimes continue, and New York City’s Times Square and even upscale attractions in Washington, D.C. aren’t immune to criminals exchanging gunfire. This is happening because “no-bail” policies are putting criminals back on the street, yet politicians are looking elsewhere for causes, even floating proposals to pay criminals to not shoot others.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky says she wants to study why shootings are increasing. Walensky told CNN, “Something has to be done about this. Now is the time — it’s pedal to the metal time.” The Biden administration thinks this is a novel approach, but the CDC has done this before.

Walensky claimed she’s not looking for gun control and wants to include gun owners as part of the conversation to tackle so-called “gun violence.” In Walensky’s words, the issue is a “serious public health threat.”

She incorrectly claimed that “We haven’t spent the time, energy, and frankly the resources to understand this problem because it’s been so divided.” On the contrary, the topic has been well researched and CDC’s own online Web-Based Injury Statistics Query and Reporting System tracks fatal and nonfatal injuries from guns and other sources.

Congress passed the Dickey Amendment to tell the CDC it couldn’t advocate for gun control, as it did before the amendment. But the Dickey Amendment doesn’t stop gun-related studies at the CDC. (Read more from “The Same CDC That Can’t Figure Out What a Man Is Now Wants to ‘Study Guns’” HERE)

What Was On The ‘Cheat Sheet’ Joe Biden Used At The Louisiana Press Conference?

Presidents are supposed to be very good on their feet, fielding questions from the White House press corps and giving memorable, off-the-cuff responses to reporters’ stupid questions.

Except if they’re nearly 79 years old and in their dotage. In that case, they need a cheat sheet. . .

Fox News:

Biden, who toured and spoke in the state following widespread destruction from Hurricane Ida, visited damaged areas in Reserve and LaPlace. Biden could be seen carrying the notes in his back pocket as he was met on the tarmac in New Orleans by Louisiana Gov. John Bel Edwards and Sens. Bill Cassidy, R-La., and John Kennedy, R-La, according to the New York Post.

On the notes that were photographed in Biden’s back pocket, the names of Jefferson Parish President Cynthia Lee Sheng and New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell could be seen.

Biden also needs help in remembering the names and faces of reporters. He carried “a sheet that appeared to show the pictures and news outlets of journalists who attended his news conference,” according to the Fox News report. These are men and women the president sees almost every day and he goes over their on-air reports about him with his staff all the time. And yet, he still can’t remember their names? Poll: Trump Would Defeat Biden in Presidential Rematch

A new poll finds that former President Donald Trump would beat President Joe Biden in a presidential rematch.

According to a national poll of 1,200 registered voters, Trump would edge out Biden. In a 2024 hypothetical election survey taken between Aug. 30 and Sept. 1, there were 47% of American voters who favored Trump, compared to 46% for Biden in the proposed rematch, the Emerson College poll stated.

The poll found that other top 2024 GOP presidential contenders would fare far worse than Trump. In a hypothetical match-up between Biden and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, the current president received 48% of the vote versus 36% for the Republican governor. According to the poll, Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Utah) would get crushed by Biden in the proposed contest, garnering only 23%, while Biden would receive 42%.

Marine Who Spoke Out About Afghanistan Withdrawal Says He Expects To Be Jailed

By Washington Examiner. A Marine who claimed he was “relieved from duty” after going viral for criticizing military leadership over the withdrawal from Afghanistan now speculates he might be court-martialed and “will probably do some jail time.”

Stuart Scheller , who claims now to be a former lieutenant colonel , has been posting regular updates about his dissenting stance that led to his alleged removal from the military, saying in a Wednesday update to a video he uploaded to social media on Aug. 27, “The Marine Corps will assign an investigating officer. Most likely a Colonel.”

Scheller’s initial video posted last week came just hours after 11 Marines, one Navy sailor, and one Army soldier were killed during a terrorist attack in Kabul near the airport. The United States scrambled to evacuate as many eligible Afghans and U.S. citizens from the country before the Aug. 31 deadline for military forces to exit the country. Scheller said in the video that he knew at least one person who was killed in the Kabul attack.

“Once the investigating officer finalizes his recommendation, the Marine Corps will decide if they should pursue court-martial,” Scheller claimed on Wednesday, adding that if it does go to court-martial, “I will be found guilty and will probably do some jail time. This will provide me a valuable opportunity to read, write, and contemplate.”

The Marines confirmed Scheller’s “situation is currently under investigation” but declined to provide further details to the Washington Examiner on Wednesday, according to Capt. Sam Stephenson, a spokesman for the Training and Education Command. “The Marine Corps is not providing any additional information regarding Lt. Col. Stuart Scheller. His situation is currently under investigation and being handled appropriately by his chain of command, and therefore, we cannot comment further.” (Read more from “Marine Who Spoke Out About Afghanistan Withdrawal Says He Expects To Be Jailed” HERE)

Marine Commandant Wants ‘Honest, Open Critique’ of Afghanistan Withdrawal

By Konstantin Toropin. Gen. David Berger, commandant of the Marine Corps, thinks the U.S. military should thoroughly examine the decisions it made in the withdrawal from Afghanistan.

“While it’s relatively fresh in our minds, we need the honest, open critique, or a commission … that cracks open: What were the options that were available, who made what decisions at what time?” he said Wednesday speaking at an event sponsored by the Center for Strategic and International Studies, a think tank based in Washington, D.C., and the U.S. Naval Institute.

Berger was responding to a question about whether he thought his recent memo to reassure veterans that the war in Afghanistan was worth their sacrifices still applies now that the conflict is over.

“The events of the past 10 days have not at all altered my view of ‘was it worth it,'” he replied.

The top Marine officer said that, in the last two days, he and others have gone back “through the Holloway Commission, the Long Commission” in an effort to “try to figure out a framework or how can we study, to your point, what went right, what went wrong, what can we learn going forward.” (Read more from “Marine Commandant Wants ‘Honest, Open Critique’ of Afghanistan Withdrawal” HERE)

Joe Biden Is Lying to Americans About Afghanistan

Earlier this week, this writer addressed the Biden administration’s instinctive lying on matters big and small, concluding: “When the president allows his key advisors lie to us about a dog bite, the only confidence the American people can have is that he will not be honest with us about these and other life-and-death matters if the truth would hurt his poll numbers or endanger Democrats’ reelection chances.”

Regrettably, recent events confirm that the president’s deceptions and misstatements are intentional and driven by political motives. This was confirmed by multiple events, some the very next day after the previous article published.

The first confirming event was in President Biden’s own words. Biden verified that lying about success in Afghanistan is part of his political strategy. . .

In a bombshell report on Aug. 31, Reuters reported on an audio recording of a July 23 call between Biden and then-Afghan President Ashraf Ghani. It released a transcript. In the call, Biden stated, “I need not tell you the perception around the world and in parts of Afghanistan, I believe, is that things aren’t going well in terms of the fight against the Taliban.”

Biden then gave Ghani his marching orders: “And there is a need, whether it is true or not, there is a need to project a different picture.” His own words condemn the president: “Whether it is true or not…” As the indispensable Mollie Hemingway noted on Fox News on Sept. 2, “What this phone call shows is that the withdrawal was, like so many other parts of the war, communicated to the American public with lies.” Indeed it was. CDC Endorsed Use of Ivermectin… for Afghan Refugees!

. . .Looking at 2019 CDC guidance, one has to wonder if one of the reasons why there is such a run on ivermectin is because our own government is using it. And no, not for horses, but for refugees. Yet these same government agencies are running a blood libel-style smear campaign against the drug and its users by misleading people into conflating it with a veterinarian version of the drug, leading many people to think it’s some sort of poison for humans. In the process, they are leaving thousands of COVID patients without any other options for treatment.

It’s not clear whether the hundreds of thousands of Afghan refugees will be forced to get vaccinated like American international travelers, but one thing is clear: They will likely get the ivermectin that most Americans can no longer access. It turns out that in 2019, the CDC issued guidance for refugees from Africa, Latin America, and the Middle East to be given ivermectin pre-emptively for potential infections.

The CDC advises the International Organization for Migration (IOM) physicians who screen the refugees for departure, and U.S. doctors who treat them upon arrival, to prescribe “all Middle Eastern, Asian, North African, Latin American, and Caribbean refugees” with ivermectin and albendazole.
