Report: Travel Aides for Kamala Harris Resign Ahead of Border Visit

Two travel aides to Vice President Kamala Harris have resigned from their positions just one day before she travels to the U.S.-Mexico border, according to a report from the New York Times.

Sources close to the matter told the Times that Harris’s director of advance Karly Satkowiak and deputy director of advance Gabrielle DeFranceschi informed Harris’s office that they would be leaving within the coming weeks.

According to Harris’s team, the resignations were expected and Satkowiak and DeFranceschi are working on finding replacements for their roles. The Times also noted that Harris’s travel team is seemingly shorthanded and efforts to fill gaps with advance associates within the team have been in the works since before she traveled to Central America. After a Judge’s Dismissal and a Damning Report, BLM May Have to Admit What Really Happened in Lafayette Park

A federal judge on Monday dismissed all but two of the claims Black Lives Matter and several individual demonstrators brought against Donald Trump, William Barr, and others in the sprawling lawsuit filed after the clearing of Lafayette Square on June 1, 2020.

Bigger than this legal defeat, however, was the report from the inspector general of the Department of the Interior disproving many of the substantive allegations in the plaintiffs’ complaint — all of which the court had accepted as true in its 50-page opinion.

Attorneys for BLM and the demonstrators now face the unpleasant choice of reframing their case, and thus acknowledging the falsity of their initial allegations, or risking sanctions for alleging facts without evidentiary support. . .

In litigating these remaining claims, the plaintiffs must now decide how to handle the inspector general’s report, consistent with Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 11. Rule 11 provides that a lawyer, when “signing, filing, submitting, or later advocating,” a position, is certifying “to the best of [his] knowledge, information, and belief … the factual contentions have evidentiary support or … will likely have evidentiary support after a reasonable opportunity for further investigation or discovery.”

Given the inspector general’s investigation and report, a lawyer would be hard-pressed to keep arguing many of the complaint’s original allegations. Should the plaintiffs’ attorneys do so, they could be subject to sanctions. But pivoting from the “Trump tear-gassed protesters for a photo op” angle will prove challenging — the corrupt media couldn’t bring themselves to do so. Ultimate Woke Fail: Lockdowns Hurt Minorities Most

Coronavirus lockdowns hurt young people of color between the ages of 20-24 the most, according to a report from the Center for Economic and Policy Research (CEPR).

In the first three months of 2021, about 3.81 million people in that age bracket were not in work or school, a 740,000 (24 percent) increase compared to the same time last year, according to the report.

When broken down by race and ethnicity, the Not in Education, Employment, or Training (NEET) rate shows even greater disparities.

The NEET rate for all 20- to 24-year-olds increased from 14.7 percent to 18.3 percent between last year and this year. For black young people, the percentage grew from 20.9 percent to 24.8 percent. For Hispanics, it was 16.2 percent to 19.7 percent, and for white people, it was 12.8 percent to 15.9 percent.

“About one-in-four Black 20- to 24-year-olds were neither in school nor working during the first quarter of 2021 compared to about one-in-five Hispanics and one-in-six whites,” the report states. (Read more from “Ultimate Woke Fail: Lockdowns Hurt Minorities Most” HERE)

Report: States That Cut Federal Benefits Have Lower Unemployment Rate

The unemployment rolls are shrinking faster in states that have axed federally boosted payments as the economic carnage from the COVID-19 pandemic eases, a new report said.

The 21 states that have ended or will end the beefed-up payments in June saw a 13.8 percent drop since mid-May in the number of people receiving unemployment benefits, the Wall Street Journal reported on Sunday.

The four states planning to end the benefits in July and September saw 10 percent and 5.7 percent drops, respectively, the Journal said, citing an analysis by Jefferies LLC.

“You’re starting to see a response to these programs ending,” Aneta Markowska, chief financial economist for Jefferies, told the outlet.

American Athlete ‘Pissed’ National Anthem Was Playing at Olympic Trials

A U.S. hammer thrower turned away from the American flag as the national anthem played while she and two other athletes stood on the podium at the Olympic trials Saturday, later saying she was “pissed” the “Star-Spangled Banner” played as she received her bronze medal.

Gwen Berry — who qualified for her second U.S. Olympic team during the trials — shifted to face the stands rather than the flag before holding up a black shirt that read, “Activist Athlete.”

“I feel like it was a set-up, and they did it on purpose,” Berry said of the anthem being played. “I was pissed, to be honest.

“They had enough opportunities to play the national anthem before we got up there,” Berry said in Oregon, where the trials are being held. “I was thinking about what I should do. Biden Nominee Is an Ecoterrorist Who Demanded Chinese-Style Child Cap

President Joe Biden’s Bureau of Land Management (BLM) nominee, Tracy Stone-Manning, is an ecoterrorist who demanded Americans undergo population control in the name of environmental stewardship.

According to the Daily Caller Thursday, Stone-Manning featured a shirtless American baby in an ad for her graduate thesis declaring the child an “environmental hazard.” . . .

“Can you spot the environmental hazard in this photo?” the ad’s headline asked. “That’s right, it’s the cute baby. Americans believe that overpopulation is only a problem somewhere else in the world. But it’s a problem here too.” . . .

“The earth is only so big, and we can tap into it only so often. In America, we tap in often and hard,” Stone-Manning wrote. “When we overpopulate, the earth notices it more. Stop at two. It could be the best thing you do for the planet.”

Biden Admin Pressured to Embrace COVID Passports

Health experts are calling on the Biden administration to do more to encourage and promote the use of vaccine mandates and passports.

So far, the White House has stayed out of what they view as an issue for private employers.

The Biden administration has repeatedly said vaccine passports won’t be implemented at the federal level but has not discouraged individual companies from making the personal choice of implementing one.

Officials have also shied away from using mandates among federal employees or among military forces.

“If a company, a business wants to take steps to keep their workers and their passengers safe, I would think that, from a government perspective, we want to do everything we can to encourage that,” Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg said recently. Maricopa County 2020 Election Auditors Complete Paper Examination

The Republican-led Arizona Senate’s audit of the 2020 election in Maricopa County reached a significant milestone on Friday, but it will probably be weeks before the findings are released to the public.

The announcement confirming the conclusion of the ballot inspection portion of the audit comes less than two weeks after auditors finished a recount of 2.1 million ballots cast in Arizona’s most populous county, which includes Phoenix, with a few exceptions, such as Braille ballots.

The physical review of ballots included an inspection of their weight and thickness, examination of folds under microscopes, and workers holding ballots up to UV lights.

Police Try to Fend off Angry Mob by Disclosing the Man They Shot Is White

The Portland Police Bureau tried to fend off an angry mob of rioters on Thursday by disclosing that a man shot in an officer confrontation was white.

“There is erroneous information being circulated on social media regarding in the officer involved shooting in the Lloyd district. We can confirm that the subject involved is an adult white male. No one else was injured,” Portland Police tweeted on Thursday night.

Chief of Police Chuck Lovell said that “preliminary information suggests officer encountered a very difficult and dynamic situation that no officer wants to face,” but that did not stop a crowd of protestors from forming at the scene shortly after the man who was shot was taken to the hospital.

Majority of Voters Believe COVID-19 Leaked From China

The possibility that the COVID-19 virus was created by scientists and leaked from a lab in China was dismissed by establishment media and politicians as a conspiracy theory, but amid growing evidence, a majority of Americans now believe it’s the best explanation for the origin of the pandemic.

Some 60% of American voters favor the lab-leak theory, which is nearly double the 31% who believe the pandemic started naturally, according to a Fox News poll.

The survey found 79% of Republicans and 58% of independents think the virus leaked from a lab, while 41% of Democrats agree. Among Democrats, 46% believe the virus evolved from nature.

The survey also found that people who are not vaccinated are more likely than those who are to say they feel “very” comfortable going out in public (49% vs. 38%).
