Government Data Shows Masks Had No Impact on COVID Spread

A graph that overlays data from surveys on mask usage with the number of coronavirus cases confirms studies that indicate the face coverings have no significant impact on the spread of the coronavirus.

Using data culled from YouGov.com and the Covid Tracking Project from March 20, 2020, to March 3, 2021, economist Brian Westbury created the chart and posted it on Twitter.

Surveys showed mask usage reached about 80% by midsummer last year and has remained consistent since then. During that period, however, the number of daily positive cases rose and fell precipitously.

Many epidemiologists have noted the coronavirus, in a second major wave, is following the bell-shaped pattern of epidemics predicted by Farr’s Law in 1840, regardless of mitigation efforts. . .

Another chart, from a Financial Times analysis of the Covid Tracking Project, shows very little difference in the number cases between North Dakota and South Dakota. That’s despite the fact that North Dakota has had a mask mandate, while South Dakota has not.

The Capitol Police Chief and Her Democratic Bosses Are Lying to You All to Hold Our Capital Hostage

My city has been occupied for more than eight weeks. Major thoroughfares blocked, thousands of armed soldiers, armored vehicles, seven-foot fencing, concertina wire. . .

. . .It’s because when angry rioters and protesters attacked the Capitol on Jan. 6, a Capitol Police force hobbled by its leadership’s poor training regimens, nearly non-existent fitness standards, and fecklessness in the face of crisis were incapable of protecting the building or even shutting the big doors on time. . .

And it’s because acting Capitol Police Chief Yogananda Pittman is perfectly content to use her own men and women as political pawns and scapegoats to please her new Democratic bosses.

Just as with “two weeks to slow the spread,” on Capitol Hill we were told one month to stop the “insurrection.” Then three weeks in, the acting Capitol Police chief requested that fencing remain permanently, a sort of replacement for providing the training and enforcing the standards that are expected of police departments across America.

In the following weeks, reporters at outlets like Politico thirstily spread rumors from unnamed “Guard members” that March 4 was the day the militias would finally come back. Except this time, instead of tens of thousands of people flying and driving to the capital for a widely advertised protest with nearly zero preparation for crowd control, there was internet “chatter” about something maybe happening to a building people can’t walk within 100 yards of because it’s surrounded with razor wire and thousands of National Guardsmen.

White House Makes Pathetic Excuse for Biden’s Lack of Press Conferences

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki on Friday said that President Biden hasn’t held a single solo press conference during his first 45 days in office because he’s busy with “historic crises” linked to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Psaki fended off a reporter’s questions about why Biden has not held an early-term question-and-answer forum — in a break from his recent predecessors — by pointing to Biden’s occasional one or two-question exchanges with reporters.

“He’s answered questions. I believe that count is almost 40 times. And I would say that his focus, again, is on getting recovery and relief to the American people and he looks forward to continuing to engage with all of you and to members of the — other members of the media who aren’t here today, and we’ll look forward to letting you know as soon as the press conference is set,” Psaki said at her daily press briefing.

Psaki was grilled Friday by reporters on a mounting migrant crisis on the Mexican border. Republicans say Biden caused the crisis by relaxing former President Donald Trump’s policies on asylum and illegal immigration.

Other presidents took office during historic crises but held press conferences. Former President Barack Obama, for example, inherited a financial system crisis but held his first press conference after less than three weeks on Feb. 9, 2009. CNN Host Chris Cuomo Gets Ripped for Joking He Is ‘Black on the Inside’

CNN’s Chris Cuomo is getting ripped as being “f—ing offensive” after joking that he is “black on the inside.”

The 50-year-old brother of embattled New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo was quickly roasted after a clip was shared Friday showing him hand over to CNN colleague Don Lemon by singing the theme to 1970s’ TV show “Good Times.”

Laughing awkwardly with his eyes lowered, Lemon asked his fellow host how he knew the words to the series about a black family living in a public housing project in Chicago.

“You know I’m black on the inside,” Cuomo responded.

While Lemon appeared to skip the comment, it was quickly picked up on the Twitterverse.

Officials Sued for Denying Residents Gun Rights

The heads of the Illinois State Police and the state’s Firearms Services Bureau are being sued for allegedly denying residents their Second Amendment gun rights.

The complaint was filed in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois by the Second Amendment Foundation on behalf of the Illinois State Rifle Association and four individuals.

It names as defendants Brendan F. Kelly, the director of the state police, and Jarod Ingebrigtsen of the Firearms Services agency.

“Illinois was the last state in the country to establish a licensed concealed carry program because we sued them in federal court and won,” said SAF founder and Executive Vice President Alan M. Gottlieb.

Joe Biden’s Executive Order on Voting Tells Agencies To Push Vote-by-Mail, ‘Combat Misinformation’

President Joe Biden issued an executive order on “access to voting” on Sunday that instructs federal government agencies to promote voter registration, help Americans apply to vote by mail, and “combat misinformation,” among other measures. . .

One provision states: “It is the responsibility of the Federal Government to expand access to, and education about, voter registration and election information, and to combat misinformation, in order to enable all eligible Americans to participate in our democracy.”

Legitimate (and accurate) news stories on the business dealings of Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, were suppressed by social media companies and mainstream media outlets during the 2020 election under the guise of fighting such “misinformation.”

The list of measures in the Executive Order parallels those included in Democrats’ legislation, H.R. 1, the “For the People Act,” which intends to override state measures that bolster ballot integrity. “Our border is now totally out of control thanks to the disastrous leadership of Joe Biden,” Trump said. “Our great Border Patrol and ICE agents have been disrespected, demeaned, and mocked by the Biden Administration. A mass incursion into the country by people who should not be here is happening on an hourly basis, getting worse by the minute.” . . .

“The spiraling tsunami at the border is overwhelming local communities, depleting budgets, crowding hospitals, and taking jobs from legal American workers,” he said.

Trump said that when he left office, his administration “had achieved the most secure border in our country’s history.”

Biden Administration Refuses To Say Middle East Militias Are Iran-Backed

President Joe Biden’s Pentagon press secretary John Kirby refused to link Iran to Shia militias operating in Iraq that launch frequent attacks on U.S. troops and other allies in the region.

Speaking to reporters Wednesday after an attack on Iraq’s Ain al-Asad Airbase, where an American contractor died of a heart attack this week, Kirby refused to say the Shia Iraqi militias, which likely carried out the strike, were aligned with Iran.

“When you say Shia-backed militias, do you mean Shia militias or Iran-backed?” one reporter asked to clarify during Wednesday’s briefing.

Former Green Beret: Joe Biden Hasn’t Found Country He Doesn’t ‘Want To Give Trillions To or Invade’

Former Green Beret and Gold Star husband Joe Kent told Breitbart News there is a sharp divide between America First principles and the actions of the Joe Biden administration.

Kent is challenging incumbent U.S. Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler (R-WA) in a primary after Beutler joined 9 other Republicans and the Democrats in impeaching former President Donald Trump in January.

Kent said after nearly two decades of “almost continuous combat” and the loss of his wife, Navy Senior Chief Petty Officer Shannon Kent, to a suicide bomber while she was deployed in 2019 to Syria fighting ISIS, President Trump appealed to him because Trump contrasted the “rhetoric of both parties on why we needed to stay deeply involved in the Middle East and in these wars that never seem to benefit us.”

He argued the U.S. was involved in wars because “our elected leaders had too much hubris to say that they had gotten it wrong and they continued to double and triple down” on failure.

“President Trump’s foreign policy ties directly into his domestic policy getting us to a point where we are energy independent here makes it so that we don’t need to be involved in these endless wars in the Middle East,” Kent said.
