Report: Biden Officials ‘Colluded’ With Iran Behind Trump’s Back During His Presidency

Members of the Biden administration, including former Secretary of State John Kerry and current special envoy on Iran policy Robert Malley, held backchannel meetings with Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif during Trump’s presidency in attempt to undermine the Republican president, according to a new report from the Washington Times.

The meetings were reportedly part of a counter-diplomacy effort by the former Obama-era officials — who now serve in the Biden administration — which “allowed for the Iranian regime to bypass Trump and work directly with Obama administration veterans that Tehran hoped would soon return to power in Washington,” according to several unnamed national security and intelligence sources.

One former senior U.S. official told the Times that the “underlying goal” of the meetings was “to devise a political strategy to undermine the Trump administration” and set the stage for a more accommodating U.S. stance towards Iran in anticipation of Obama-era officials returning to power.

The meetings reportedly occurred between 2017 and 2019. One of the meetings, between Zarif and Malley, took place after former President Trump withdrew from the Iran deal, which was signed during Obama’s presidency. House Takes First Step in Contested Election Review That May Result in Republican Being Unseated

The Democrat-controlled House took the first steps last week of adjudicating a contested House seat that may result in a Republican lawmaker being replaced by her Democratic challenger. . .

Rep. Mariannette Miller-Meeks (R) was declared the winner of Iowa’s second congressional district over Democratic challenger Rita Hart last November by just six votes — 196,964 to 196,958.

After Iowa certified Miller-Meeks’ win, Hart appealed to the House by filing a Notice of Contest. Hart’s campaign alleged that “the Miller-Meeks campaign has sought to keep legitimate votes from being counted — pushing to disqualify and limit the number of Iowans whose votes are counted,” the Iowa City Press-Citizen reported.

Hart claims there are 22 “legally-cast, uncounted votes” from her election — and, of course, she alleges that if those votes are counted, she would be the rightful winner of the contest.

Lawyers for Hart’s campaign allege the Democrat would have won the race by just nine votes had the 22 votes not been excluded. (Read more from “House Takes First Step in Contested Election Review That May Result in Republican Being Unseated” HERE)

Cherokee Nation to Jeep: It’s Time to Rename Your Cars

Jeep is now dodging tomahawks from Native American groups because they make this car called the ‘Cherokee.’ Maybe you’ve heard of it (sarc), but if you’re an owner of one—you’re a terrible racist or something. Okay, maybe not that far, but one of the flagship designs for Jeep is being asked to cease all production of its Cherokee line or at least change its name (via The Hill):

Jeep has sold SUVs under the Cherokee name for decades, with the Jeep Grand Cherokee currently the brand’s bestselling model and the Jeep Cherokee its third bestseller. The original Jeep Cherokee was first introduced in 1974.

But now as some companies and sports teams have recently stopped using names and logos depicting ethnic stereotypes and caricatures, the principal chief of the Cherokee Nation said it’s time for Jeep to part ways with the tribe’s name.

“I think we’re in a day and age in this country where it’s time for both corporations and team sports to retire the use of Native American names, images and mascots from their products, team jerseys and sports in general, Chuck Hoskin Jr., principal chief of the Cherokee Nation, told Car and Driver.

State House Pulls Trigger on Packing Heat Without a License

The Indiana House voted Monday to repeal a state law that requires residents to purchase a license or permit in order to purchase a handgun.

House Bill 1369, if passed by the Senate, will allow a person to purchase and carry a handgun without a state license or permit in Indiana, Fox News reported. The bill would still prohibit certain offenders from obtaining and carrying a handgun.

The bill passed the House by a 65-31 vote, Fox News reported. To acquire a handgun in Indiana a resident must be at least 18 years old, have their fingerprints taken and complete processing through a local law enforcement agency.

“The bill is for the lawful citizen in the state of Indiana,” said Republican Rep. Ben Smaltz who authored the bill. “This bill is for the person who obeys our laws who right now has to jump over hurdles to be the person who gets the permit.”

Tables Turned: Team Biden Insists It’s ‘NOT Kids in Cages’

President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris and other Democratic leaders pounded President Trump during the 2020 election campaign for “putting kids in cages” at the border.

So Fox News’ Steve Doocy asked White House press secretary Jen Psaki why the new Biden administration reopened a detention center for migrant children on Monday.

“This is not kids being kept in cages,” she insisted. “This is a facility that was opened that is going to follow the same standards as other HHS facilities.”

More than 200 children have been sent to the facility in Carrizo Springs, Texas, CBS News reported. The administration plans to expand that number to 700 in facilities across the country. (Read more from “Tables Turned: Team Biden Insists It’s ‘NOT Kids in Cages'” HERE)

Wikipedia Co-Founder: Site’s Commitment to Neutrality Is ‘Long Gone’

An article about Wikipedia published last Thursday on the Fox News website examined the left-wing bias of the online encyclopedia. Larry Sanger, co-founder of Wikipedia, stated in an interview for the article: “The days of Wikipedia’s robust commitment to neutrality are long gone.” Fox also interviewed economics professor Bryan Caplan regarding the slanted coverage of communism and socialism on their Wikipedia pages, notably the omission of atrocities carried out by communist governments.

Fox cited other critics of the site and its biased handling of left-wing ideologies. Sanger previously published a blog post criticizing Wikipedia for its left-wing bias, declaring the site’s neutrality policy “dead” due to bias.

In the Fox piece by Maxim Lott, Wikipedia is noted as having received less scrutiny than the other Big Tech firms. However, the piece further notes these tech firms, such as Google, also rely heavily on the site and Wikipedia itself is one of the most popular sites globally. The report follows this by reporting: “critics – including Wikipedia co-founder Larry Sanger – tell Fox News that many Wikipedia pages have become merely left-wing advocacy essays.”

Sanger is quoted by Fox as stating: “Wikipedia’s ideological and religious bias is real and troubling, particularly in a resource that continues to be treated by many as an unbiased reference work.” Sanger also told Fox “the deck is too stacked on Wikipedia for it to ever be salvaged” and he has instead focused on helping facilitate the spread of alternative online encyclopedias through his Encyclosphere project. Those efforts are complicated by Big Tech’s reliance on Wikipedia in their campaign against “fake news” online in keeping with messaging suggested to Wikipedia’s owners by a public relations firm run by the Clinton Foundation’s Head of Communications.

Fox News cites the Wikipedia articles on socialism and communism as examples of leftist bias. While both delve into leftist theory, they also covered each ideology’s history almost completely ignoring the brutality and authoritarianism of many proclaimed socialist or communist regimes. Regarding the Soviet Union, one section states Soviet rule “saw some of the most significant technological achievements of the 20th century” with only a brief mention of “the excesses of Stalin’s regime” not mentioning the famines and mass-killings it entailed. On Asia, Mao’s reign in China is essentially unmentioned, while mentioning Indonesia’s Suharto killing hundreds of thousands to suppress leftists. Trump-Friendly CPAC 2021 Speaker Lineup Shows Little Sign of GOP Civil War; Mike Pence Declines Invite to CPAC Event

By Newsweek. The 2021 Conservative Political Action Conference, which kicks off Thursday, appears to remain aligned behind Donald Trump, even as leading Republicans have condemned and clashed publicly with the former president.

The roster of speakers for CPAC 2021 features Trump—who will deliver his first big speech since leaving the White House—and a slate of other politicians and pundits who are supportive of him. Although analysts have described tensions within the Republican Party as a “civil war,” Trump’s GOP critics won’t be given a platform to share their perspective during the event, which takes place in Orlando, Florida, from February 25 to 28.

Mike Pompeo, who served as Trump’s secretary of state; Ben Carson, who served as secretary of housing and urban development; and Sarah Huckabee Sanders, the former White House press secretary now vying to become the next Arkansas governor, are set to speak at the event along with a number of other former Trump administration officials. Additionally, pro-Trump politicians including Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem, Florida Congressman Matt Gaetz, Missouri Senator Josh Hawley, Texas Senator Ted Cruz and Arizona Congressman Andy Biggs are set to address the attendees. The former president’s son—Donald Trump Jr.—will speak as well. Notably, former Vice President Mike Pence, who’s been a hit at CPAC the past three years, reportedly declined an invitation to speak.

Last year, Senator Mitt Romney, a Utah Republican, was told publicly not to attend the event—despite previously winning CPAC’s presidential straw poll on four occasions. But Romney became a persona non grata after his criticism of Trump during his first Senate impeachment trial in 2020, in which the Utah Republican voted with Democrats to convict the former president. Rejecting Romney again this year, CPAC has instead fully embraced Trump—as have most conservative voters. Report: Trump to Claim Total Control of Republican Party; Nearly Half of Republicans Would Drop GOP if Trump Created New Party

By WND. Former President Donald Trump is expected to tell attendees at this week’s Conservative Political Action Conference that he’s still in charge, according to reports.

“Let’s just say that singing Kumbaya isn’t in the plans,” commented the RedState blog.

It will be Trump’s most significant public statement since he left Washington last month. Shut down by Twitter and Facebook, he was largely silent until interviews last week regarding the death of Rush Limbaugh.

Axios cited sources saying Trump “plans to send the message next weekend that he is Republicans’ ‘presumptive 2024 nominee’ with a vise grip on the party’s base.”

A longtime adviser told Axios that Trump’s speech will be a “show of force,” sending the message: “I may not have Twitter or the Oval Office, but I’m still in charge.” (Read more from “Report: Trump to Claim Total Control of Republican Party” HERE)

Nearly Half of Republicans Would Drop GOP if Trump Created New Party

By The Epoch Times. Around half of Republican voters would abandon the GOP if former President Donald Trump created a new party, according to a new poll.

About 46 percent of Republican respondents said they would abandon the Republican Party to join a Trump-backed party, a Suffolk University–USA Today poll found. Only 27 percent said they would stay with the party, while the rest were undecided.

“We feel like Republicans don’t fight enough for us, and we all see Donald Trump fighting for us as hard as he can, every single day,” a Republican and small-business owner—who wasn’t identified—from Milwaukee told USA Today. “But then, you have establishment Republicans who just agree with establishment Democrats and everything, and they don’t ever push back.” . . .

“If Trump were to split from the GOP and create his own party, polling suggests he might well create the second largest political party in the country, knocking the GOP down to third place,” Dritan Nesho, CEO and chief pollster at HarrisX, told Hill.TV. Pelosi, Who Claims to Oppose Gerrymandering, Funnels $300,000 to Democratic Gerrymandering Group

After calling for an end to partisan gerrymandering, House speaker Nancy Pelosi (D., Calif.) quietly funneled hundreds of thousands of dollars to former attorney general Eric Holder’s effort to redraw electoral maps in favor of Democrats, filings show.

Pelosi’s leadership PAC, PAC to the Future, pushed $300,000 to Holder’s National Democratic Redistricting Committee late last year. In 2019, Pelosi said partisan gerrymandering efforts “compromise the integrity of our democracy.”

Holder’s group is gearing up for a once-a-decade redistricting process that significantly influences which party controls Congress. It will serve as a data and legal hub and as a go-between for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee and state legislatures, according to Politico.

Paul Pelosi, the speaker’s husband, oversees the finances for her PAC, the only political committee linked to a politician that has donated to Holder’s group in the past two years. The group is at the forefront of left-wing gerrymandering efforts, the likes of which Pelosi once opposed.

“This year, the Democratic Majority passed H.R. 1, the For The People Act, which works to end to partisan gerrymandering by requiring all states to establish independent, nonpartisan redistricting commissions to draw open and transparent statewide district maps after each Census,” Pelosi said in 2019. “We will continue to fight partisan gerrymandering, ensure every citizen’s vote counts and oppose any attempt to compromise the integrity of our democracy.” (Read more from “Pelosi, Who Claims to Oppose Gerrymandering, Funnels $300,000 to Democratic Gerrymandering Group” HERE)

Dominion Voting Systems Sues MyPillow CEO Lindell

Dominion Voting Systems filed a lawsuit on Feb. 22 against MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell, following his statements about the election technology vendor after the Nov. 3 presidential election.

The lawsuit, filed in Washington D.C., alleges that Lindell, a staunch supporter of former President Donald Trump, harmed Dominion’s brand by raising questions about the company’s vote-counting equipment. The company is seeking damages in excess of $1.3 billion.

“Instead of retracting his lies, Lindell—a multimillionaire with a nearly unlimited ability to broadcast his preferred messages on conservative media—whined that he was being ‘censored’ and ‘attacked’ and produced a ‘docu-movie’ featuring shady characters and fake documents sourced from dark corners of the internet,” the lawsuit states, referring to a video produced by Lindell that he released on several platforms, including his own website.

Dominion, in its suit, claimed Lindell was able to sell more MyPillow products due to his claims. . .

In an interview with the Wall Street Journal on Feb. 22, Lindell said he was “very, very happy” about the lawsuit. (Read more from “Dominion Voting Systems Sues MyPillow CEO Lindell” HERE)
