National Guard Brought in to Help With Wisconsin Ballot Counting Issue

By Fox News. Poll workers in two Wisconsin counties — with the help of at least 20 National Guards members — will have to transcribe votes from at least 13,500 misprinted absentee ballots to clean ballots, possibly delaying reporting of results.

The state Supreme Court refused to issue a ruling on the ballots at issue, which cannot be fed into electronic tabulating machines, and instead told Outagamie and Calumet counties to use the statutorily prescribed method of ballot duplication for counting ballots of this nature.

“The duplication process will take additional time, so the public should be aware that election results will be delayed,” Outagamie County Clerk Lori O’Bright said in a statement. “They will be posted as soon as possible.” (Read more from “National Guard Brought in to Help With Wisconsin Ballot Counting Issue” HERE)

Mysterious Burst Pipe Stops Ballot Counting in Atlanta — Perhaps to Give Time for Ballot Fabrication?

By JACQUELINE FELDSCHER. Election results for the Georgia county that includes the vast majority of Atlanta will be delayed because a pipe burst in a room where absentee ballots were being counted, the Atlanta Journal Constitution reported Tuesday.

A delay in processing absentee votes in Fulton, Georgia’s largest county, will affect how quickly statewide results can be reported in a tightly contested state that could help decide the presidency. . .

Officials had hoped to count three-quarters of ballots by between 10 and 11 p.m., but the pipe burst is likely to make that impossible.

The county may not be able to fully report results until Friday, elections board member Mark Wingate told the newspaper. (Read more about this story HERE)

Election-Related Legal Wrangling Underway in Pennsylvania, Nevada

By Politico. Last-minute legal jockeying over Tuesday’s election led Democrats to head off a GOP effort to halt vote-counting in Nevada’s most populous county, while Republicans in Pennsylvania filed two lawsuits seeking to block counting of some absentee votes in the state.

The Nevada Supreme Court rejected a bid by President Donald Trump’s campaign to block the tallying of votes in Clark County, which includes Las Vegas and accounts for more than two-thirds of the state’s population. . .

Republicans in Pennsylvania, meanwhile, filed a suit seeking to block election officials from counting provisional ballots submitted by voters whose absentee ballots were disqualified.

Secretary of State Kathy Boockvar, a Democrat, issued guidance to counties last month saying that voters whose mail-in or absentee ballots were rejected could still obtain a provisional ballot on Election Day and vote that way. Philadelphia Has Stopped Counting Mail-in Votes; May Take Days to Fabricate Ballots for Biden

By CNBC. Election results from Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania could take until later this week to complete official tallies, according to officials.

The three states represent a combined 46 electoral votes, with 16 from Michigan, 20 from Pennsylvania and 10 from Wisconsin. That’s nearly a fifth of the required 270 electoral votes for a victory.

Georgia and North Carolina, which both were too close to call just after midnight Wednesday, also are likely to take some more time as more ballots come in. Georgia has 16 electoral votes, and North Carolina has 15. . .

Officials in Michigan and Wisconsin have also said it will take extra time to count all of their ballots. Michigan officials believe they need 24 more hours to tally votes, MSNBC reported late Tuesday. Election Betting Odds Shift in Favor of President Trump

Election betting odds are shifting in favor of President Donald Trump as Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden is underperforming in several key battleground states that political polling projected him to win.

As of 11:30 p.m. ET, European sportsbook Betfair gave Trump -156 odds to win the U.S. presidential election, a 60.6% chance. Biden is at +152 odds, a 39.4% chance to win.

“It appears the betting market may have overreacted to what appears will be a convincing Trump victory in the state of Florida. Betting odds are starting to shift back to former Vice President Joe Biden, though he far from the favorite he was earlier on Election Day,” Action Network reported late Tuesday.

The odds for Trump have improved significantly since Monday evening, when Biden was given a two-thirds chance to beat Trump at 11:30 p.m. that day.

As of publishing time, Trump is projected to win the key battleground states of Florida and Ohio and is leading in the vote counts for Georgia and North Carolina. Fox News projected that Biden will win Arizona. (Read more from “Election Betting Odds Shift in Favor of President Trump” HERE)

If Joe Biden Is Dragged Over the Finish Line, Democrats Will Quickly Drop Him

There’s an extremely mean and (consequently) extremely funny video, “Weekend at Biden’s,” in which the propped-up, lifeless form of Joe Biden gets dragged out of his basement and pulled from event to event by two young woke activists.

“How long do we have to keep this up?” one asks the other, exhausted. “November 3,” says the other.

Relax, young woke-tivists: You carried Joe to Nov. 3, and according to most pollsters, a thundering victory awaits you. If Biden concludes his inaugural address with the memorable words, “Now can I go back to my basement and watch ‘Matlock’?,” everyone around him will be happy to oblige. . .

No matter what Biden does to steer the country to the left, the media will be daydreaming about how Kamala Harris would lean so much harder on the tiller. Suddenly, Biden’s brain freezes and mangled sentences will no longer be innocent “gaffes” but signs of incipient dementia. Doesn’t the 25th Amendment call for the president’s removal if he can’t cut it anymore? Maybe Biden, having achieved his life’s goal, should quickly step down for everyone’s sake, the media will suggest. Maybe the Washington Post will even decide the Biden family buckraking is actually worth looking into — and that it’s impeachable.

Biden may be elected president Tuesday, but if so, it won’t be long before the self-described “transition candidate” gets told he needs to transition his way to a nice, comfy facility in Boca Raton. Under Trump, Americans Have Seen Their Best Wage Growth in 40 Years

Many on the left refuse to admit President Trump’s populist policies have provided massive benefits to working-class Americans. Matthew Yglesias argued at Vox that Trump’s refusal to endorse a federal $15 per hour minimum wage proves Trump has abandoned populist ideals. Progressives claim the Trump economy helps billionaires, not workers, and snidely dismiss his outreach to minorities.

Yet, during the first three years of the Trump presidency, wage growth was off the charts, especially for low-income workers and African Americans. The third-quarter economic data released Thursday confirm once again that Trump is on the job for U.S. workers.

The Biden campaign has tried to tie COVID-linked economic devastation to Trump’s leadership. The new third-quarter economic data once again shows that’s wrong. The total number of U.S. wage earners increased more than 5 percent in that period, and the third-quarter rebound for African Americans occurred at a 17 percent faster rate than for wage earners as a whole.

Trump campaigned on exiting the China-centric Trans-Pacific Partnership and renegotiating North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA). Trump claimed his tax and trade policies would benefit American workers.

Even though evidence shows they are highly effective, Trump’s economic ideas have consistently underwhelmed pundits. Democrats hated his tax cuts. Liberals predicted a worldwide economic crisis if he was elected in 2016 and scoffed at Trump’s “middle class miracle.” Leading up to the 2016 election, economists including eight Nobel laureates derided his economic ignorance and called his proposals “magical thinking.” (Read more from “Under Trump, Americans Have Seen Their Best Wage Growth in 40 Years” HERE)

California Legalizes Shoplifting With Predictable Results

Through a series of measures starting back in 2014, the state of California has made it increasingly easy for people to commit property theft and get away with it. This trend has only accelerated during the ongoing riots, as cops are instructed to “disperse” looters rather than trying to arrest them. Even in cases where they do manage to catch somebody stealing, it’s too often not worth the trouble of taking them down to the station because they’ll just be released immediately without bail anyway. And as we’ve seen in other places like New York City, store managers in California are telling their employees to not interfere with looters for fear of being branded as racists on social media or even run into lawsuits over alleged discrimination. As a result, businesses are shutting down for good. That happened again this week as yet another Walgreens has closed its doors permanently. . .

We’re not seeing something new here that’s a result of the riots and looting, though the trend has definitely ramped up this year. This all started with the passage of Proposition 47. The state decriminalized theft such that stealing less than $950 worth of goods was only a misdemeanor, leading to a small fine, frequently far less than the value of the merchandise that was stolen.

The result of that change was felt immediately. The state has recorded increased levels of retail theft every year since prop 47 was passed. The steepest rise has been seen in what’s referred to as “mass grab and dash” robberies, where crowds of people meet up and enter a business all at once and begin grabbing everything they can carry and running out. Most stores only have one or two security personnel on duty at most so they can’t stop them all. And even if a couple of the looters are caught, they know they’ll be back out on the streets in an hour or two at most. Texas Rep. Dan Crenshaw Wins First Reelection Bid

Freshman Texas Republican Rep. Dan Crenshaw won reelection on Tuesday.

The 36-year-old Navy SEAL veteran defeated Democratic candidate Sima Ladjevardian in Texas’s 2nd Congressional District, according to the Associated Press. He was first elected to Congress two years ago.

While his district was called early on election night, Texas is a state to watch in the presidential election. Texas is a must-have state for President Trump, but polling as the election neared showed that it was a vulnerable target for Democrats. (Read more from “Texas Rep. Networks Forced to Pull Biden Projection in Virginia After Race Becomes Too Close to Call

A number of mainstream news media outlets including Fox News, National Public Radio, the Associated Press, and others projected Democratic Presidential Nominee Joe Biden winning the state of Virginia shortly after it started reporting, only to be forced to retract their projections as the race margin narrowed.

These same networks delayed calling Indiana and South Carolina despite both of which were conceded to President Donald J. Trump with large leads and refused to call Florida despite every indication in the reported numbers that the state was going to go red again.

As The Federalist’s Sean Davis noted, in 2016 Trump was lost Virginia’s Loudon County by at least 30,000 votes. This year, however, things changed when 98 of the state’s 99 precincts show that Trump is winning by 13 points. . .

Report: Voting Machine Issues in PA

Voting machine issues reportedly caused delays Tuesday in one city in Luzerne County, Pennsylvania, as millions head to the polls in the Keystone state to vote in the 2020 presidential election.

“We found out that the machines were all down, and then one started working. Now we just got in and everything went smooth. It was great,” Karen Warakomski, a resident of Nanticoke, told WBRE/WYOU-TV.

“A cheer broke out when the door opened, and then when the first person came out, he said, ‘it’s all like confusion, there’s four machines, only one is working,’ and that’s when everybody got a little bit like, ‘wow, we’ve got work to go to, and I don’t know if I’m gonna make it’. I hope everything gets straightened out,” Dan Warakomski, another Nanticoke voter, told the local news outlet. (Read more from “Report: Voting Machine Issues in PA” HERE)

Report: Biden Intends to ‘Address Nation’ as ‘New Leader’

Former Vice President Joe Biden will “address the nation as its new leader, even if President Trump continues to fight in court” if the media declare him the mathematical winner on Election Day.

“We’re not really concerned about what Donald Trump says,” Biden campaign manager Jen O’Malley Dillon told reporters Monday. “We’re going to use our data, our understanding of where this is headed, and make sure that the vice president is addressing the American people.”

Axios reported on the development that Biden, if elected, will lay claim to being in charge of the country even before he is inaugurated:

So if Biden is declared the winner, he’ll begin forming his government and looking presidential — and won’t yield to doubts Trump might try to sow.

Biden’s schedule for Tuesday includes a clue to this posture: He “will address the nation on Election Night in Wilmington, Delaware.”

U.S. Election 2020: Businesses Boarded up Amid Fears of Riots; I Am Now a Trained Anarchist Ready to Punch Nazis on Election Night

By Daily Mail. Businesses across America are boarding up their windows ahead of potential chaos following tomorrow’s election as special police units prepare to tackle looters and rioters and foreign governments warn people not to visit the US for fear of civil unrest.

In cities all over the country on Monday, retailers, offices and art galleries were putting plywood on their windows to protect their inventory ahead of tomorrow night’s election and the mayhem it might spark, no matter which candidate wins.

While many offices remain closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a small number of doctors and dentists offices are quietly telling patients that they will close on November 4. . .

Many are likely to pull their outdoor dining furniture inside but remain open in the hope of some business, according to industry experts.

Small retailers are ‘scared’ of the potential looting but are ‘more scared’ of another lockdown so are choosing to stay open for the meantime, risking their inventory, insiders say. (Read more from “U.S. Election 2020: Businesses Boarded up Amid Fears of Riots” HERE)

I Am Now a Trained Anarchist Ready to Punch Nazis on Election Night

By The Federalist. . .In the last week, I participated in a series of online seminars with Shut Down DC on implementing our “Strategic framework for action following the 2020 election.” During the training on de-escalation, I learned in what circumstances it is permissible to “punch a Nazi in the face.” . . .

“Nazi” is just another term for “Trump supporter,” by the way.

Our instructor continued, emphasizing that even under adverse circumstances, it was our duty to protect a black woman in a wheelchair’s right to punch Nazis.

“If a black woman in a wheelchair wants to punch a Nazi in the face, and the Nazi has a whole bunch of friends who are going to attack all of the black people in the area,” the teacher said:

You will want to, like, let the other people know that ‘Hey, this situation is escalating. If you don’t want to be involved you should probably leave’ and try to create like, physical space around. Again, the black woman in the wheel chair, the best thing we can do is protect her autonomy, which means if she decides to punch a Nazi in the face, we do not stop her from doing that. Stopping her from doing that, it gets into white saviorism.
