Steve Bannon Expected to Testify Against Roger Stone

Former White House strategist Steve Bannon is expected to testify against longtime Trump associate Roger Stone.

Bannon will appear as a witness for the government during Stone’s trial, a person familiar with the matter told the National Law Journal.

Bannon has not been subpoenaed for his testimony, the person said.

Stone, whose trial begins Nov. 5, is accused of witness tampering, lying to Congress, and obstructing justice. The charges relate to his attempts to reach WikiLeaks during the 2016 presidential campaign. (Read more from “Steve Bannon Expected to Testify Against Roger Stone” HERE)

Rep. Katie Hill to Resign Amid ‘Throuple’ Allegations

Freshman Rep. Katie Hill is resigning from Congress after facing allegations of inappropriate sexual relationships with staffers in her office and on her congressional campaign.

“It is with a broken heart that today I announce my resignation from Congress. This is the hardest thing I have ever had to do, but I believe it is the best thing for my constituents, my community and our country,” Hill wrote in a letter announcing the news after it was first reported by POLITICO.

“This is what needs to happen so that the good people who supported me will no longer be subjected to the pain inflicted by my abusive husband and the brutality of hateful political operatives who seem to happily provide a platform to a monster who is driving a smear campaign built around cyber exploitation,” Hill added. . .

Hill was under investigation by the House Ethics Committee for allegations of an improper sexual relationship with a male congressional staffer, a claim she denied. Hill admitted to and apologized for an “inappropriate” relationship with a female campaign staffer earlier this week. (Read more from “Rep. Katie Hill to Resign Amid ‘Throuple’ Allegations” HERE)

Climate Alarmists Struggle With War on Cow Farts

Environmentalists intent on finding new ways to reduce so-called greenhouse gas emissions to curb climate change have proposed a novel method: feed cows seaweed to diminish methane in flatulence, belches, and manure.

Ermias Kebreab, an zoology professor at the University of California–Davis, led a team in producing a bovine meal regimen containing varying levels of Asparagopsis armata, a strain of red seaweed, and fed it to 12 dairy cows over a two-month period. In a mix containing just 1 percent seaweed, the cows’ methane emissions went down by a stunning 60 percent. . .

A 2012 United Nations report revealed that the earth’s cattle population produces more carbon dioxide than automobiles, planes, and all other forms of transport combined. Moreover, the cow pies they drop and the wind they break produce a third of the world’s methane emissions, which traps 84 times as much heat as carbon dioxide.

In the summer of 2016, EcoWatch published an article confirming that greenhouse gas emissions from livestock actually account for a higher percentage of total global emissions than the world’s 1.2 billion automobiles.

Kebreab’s cow experiment sought to replicate results from researchers at Australia’s James Cook University, who mixed bacteria from cows’ digestive systems with red seaweed and discovered a significant decrease in methane production. Their experiment suggested that tweaking a cow’s diet to include 2 percent seaweed could reduce its methane emissions by as much as 99 percent. Texas Father Who Fought to Protect Son From Forced Gender Transition Is Under ‘Clearly Unconstitutional’ Order

Jeffrey Younger received a massive victory on Thursday when a judge reversed a jury’s decision giving his ex-wife, Dr. Anne Georgulas, sole custody of their sons, James and Jude. Younger contends that Georgulas is forcing a gender transition onto James.

In the ruling, Judge Kim Cooks granted the parents joint custody of the children. She also hit both parents with a gag order, meaning neither will be able to speak about the case publicly.

According to legal experts, the gag order against Younger is “clearly unconstitutional.”

“This is an outrageous decision by the court that clearly is unconstitutional under the First Amendment. It is obvious with the court order that the judge has made some serious mistakes because this is fairly straightforward that you can’t gag a father from talking about his son to the media,” Mat Staver, chairman of Liberty Counsel, told LifeSiteNews. . .

“The issuance of a gag order is clearly an overreaction in this case particularly since this case was going to be decided by a judge and not a jury, but it is also an indication that Jeff Younger realized he had to do everything he could to get his message out [because] up until this point the system had not worked the way it should,” Saenz said.

Georgulas’ attorneys reportedly told the court that Younger’s media interaction put the children at risk. However, Younger said that he only spoke to certain media outlets and that he did not initiate contact with reporters. California Declares State of Emergency

California has declared a state of emergency, the Associated Press reports, as wildfires and hurricane force winds ravage areas of the state, leaving millions without power.

Governor Gavin Newsom issued a statement Sunday in an attempt to reassure Californians — particularly those in the Bay Area and in Sonoma County where the fires threaten major agriculture and industry — that the state was deploying “every resource available” to battle the blazes.

The wildfires, blazing in Sonoma County and near San Francisco, and further south near Santa Clarita, had already driven more than 50,000 people from their homes by Saturday night when experts predicted a “catastrophic wind event” with hurricane-force gusts. By Sunday, 180,000 people had been told to flee to safer ground and winds up to 80 miles per hour blew across Napa Valley vineyards, causing the fires to take on an “erratic” burn pattern. . .

Before the winds arrived, the Kincade Fire, which began Wednesday night, was only 10% contained, and had already burned 47 square miles, destroying nearly 80 structures, according to the Associated Press. Nine people have been reported injured so far, victims of a tree that came crashing down on a farmer’s market near San Francisco, but the casualties are by no means fully counted. The last fire, that swept through largely the same area in 2017, killed 24 people. (Read more from “California Declares State of Emergency” HERE)

WaPo Faces Backlash Over Vile, Sympathetic Obituary for ISIS Leader Al-Baghdadi

Following the announcement of Islamic State leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi’s death, the Washington Post published an article in their obituary section, detailing his life and how he died. What’s disgusting is the obituary reads like we should be celebrating his life, as if he brought good to the world.

From the obituary (emphasis mine):

When Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi took the reins of the Islamic State of Iraq in 2010, few had heard of the organization or its new leader, an austere religious scholar with wire-frame glasses and no known aptitude for fighting and killing.

But just four years later, Mr. Baghdadi had helped transform his failing movement into one of the most notorious and successful terrorist groups of modern times. Under his guidance it would burst into the public consciousness as the Islamic State, an organization that would seize control of entire cities in Iraq and Syria and become a byword for shocking brutality.

The man at the helm of the Islamic State was a shadowy presence, appearing in public only a handful of times and rarely allowing his own voice to be heard, even as the caliphate was beaten back and finally destroyed. During his tenure, the Islamic State would come to mirror its leader: a messianic figure drawn to the harshest interpretations of Islamic texts and seized with the conviction that all dissenters should be put to death.

Parents of ISIS Hostage Relieved by Terrorist Leader’s Death, Slam Obama

By USA Today. Terrorist leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, who the president said was killed during a special forces raid in Syria, had reportedly been the captor and tormentor of Arizona’s Kayla Mueller, who was taken hostage in 2013.

“What this man did to Kayla — he kidnapped her,” her father Carl Mueller, his voice choking, told The Arizona Republic on Sunday morning, shortly after President Donald Trump announced al-Baghdadi had died. . .

On Sunday, the Muellers praised President Donald Trump and the soldiers who pulled off the mission.

“We are so grateful for them … we are so grateful,” Marsha Mueller said. They were glad there was no loss of life on our side. They are grateful their daughter and the others who were tortured and killed by ISIS have not been forgotten.

“I still say Kayla should be here, and if Obama had been as decisive as President Trump, maybe she would have been,” Marsha Mueller said. (Read more from “Parents of ISIS Hostage Relieved by Terrorist Leader’s Death, Slam Obama” HERE)

Four Americans Killed by the Islamic State Under Al-Baghdadi

By Breitbart. President Donald Trump celebrated the killing of Islamic State (ISIS) leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi by U.S. forces on Sunday. Still, many high profile Americans died under al-Baghdadi’s reign before U.S. forces were able to kill him. . .

1. James Foley, a Celebrated American Journalist Who Relied on His Catholic Faith

2. Kayla Mueller, a Humanitarian Who Was Kept Captive by al-Baghdadi

3. Steven Sotloff, a Hardcore American Journalist with a “Gentle Soul”

4. Peter Kassig, an American Aid Worker and Army Ranger Who Converted to Islam

Trump Goes off on Campaign Spying, Accuses Obama of TREASON

By Daily Wire. The Obama White House, President Trump allegedly told author Doug Wead, was engaged in a “treasonous” act when it was “spying on my campaign.”

“What they did was treasonous, OK? It was treasonous,” Trump told Wead in comments reported by the Washington Examiner and included in Wead’s upcoming book, “Inside Trump’s White House: The Real Story of His Presidency.”

“The interesting thing out of all of this is that we caught them spying on the election,” said Trump. “They were spying on my campaign. So you know? What is that all about? I have never ever said this, but truth is, they got caught spying. They were spying. Obama.”

Trump’s accusation echoes the language of Attorney General William Barr, who famously described the Obama administration’s surveillance of Trump associates as “spying” before slightly walking back the claim.

“I think spying did occur,” Barr told congressional investigators in testimony in April. “But the question is whether it was predicated — adequately predicated. I’m not suggesting it wasn’t adequately predicated, but I need to explore that. I think it’s my obligation. Congress is usually very concerned about intelligence agencies and law enforcement agencies staying in their proper lane.” (Read more from “Trump Goes off on Campaign Spying: Obama’s ‘Treasonous’ Acts Against Me Even Worse Than We Thought” HERE)

Donald Trump accuses Barack Obama of TREASON over 2016 campaign ‘spying’ as feds run ‘criminal investigation’ into origins of Russia probe

By Daily Mail. . .The Justice Department hasn’t said what crimes are being investigated or who its targets are. But calling the matter a ‘criminal’ probe instead of an internal administrative inquiry allows prosecutors to convene a grand jury and subpoena witnesses.

Among the witnesses who could face subpoenas are former FBI director James Comey and former CIA head John Brennan.

Special Counsel Robert Mueller presided over a 22-month probe that netted no significant prosecutions related to unsubstantiated claims that the Trump campaign colluded with Russian agents to tilt the 2016 contest in the president’s direction.

Attorney General Bill Bar and Connecticut U.S. Attorney John Durham recently traveled to Europe and gathered evidence about intelligence activities that led to the Mueller operation, according to a DOJ official.

Trump believes people inside what would become his administration worked quietly to hamstring him as he fought Hillary Clinton for the White House. New Poll: Here’s How Many Voters Want Trump Impeached

The number of registered voters who oppose the impeachment and removal of U.S. President Donald Trump, at 49 percent, is the same as those who are in favor, the results of a new NBC News/SurveyMonkey poll published on Friday show.

“Americans are evenly divided on whether President Donald Trump should be impeached,” NBC News pointed out, adding:

Voters are sharply divided along party lines. Nine in 10 Republicans and Republican-leaning independents are against impeachment and 89 percent of Democrats and Democratic-leaners are in favor of impeachment. Independents who don’t lean toward either party are more split with a 53 percent majority saying Trump should be impeached and 44 percent saying he should not.

NBC News acknowledged the importance of keeping tabs on outliers, noting that the poll showed one in ten Democrats thinks Congress should not impeach Trump, and nearly the same number (nine percent) of Republicans believes he should be.

Nearly half of Democrats who believe Congress should not impeach and remove Trump and Republicans who do identify as moderate. (Read more from “New Poll: Here’s How Many Voters Want Trump Impeached” HERE)

After Deep State Attacks, U.S. Top Diplomat With Powerful Pro-Life Record Resigns

The State Department’s top official for UN affairs will retire next month after five decades of public service, beginning as a combat-decorated Marine, and including U.S. ambassador to the UN in Geneva. His departure comes after an internal campaign against him by career staffers, propelled by the left-wing media, Democrats in Congress, and the State Department’s inspector general.

The campaign against assistant secretary of state Kevin Moley, and his senior advisor, Mari Stull, began shortly after he was called out of retirement to assume his responsibilities in April 2018. Emblematic of the poor state of the bureau before he arrived, when he asked for a comprehensive list of Chinese Communist–occupied UN positions, trust funds, and other influence within international organizations, career staffers balked, took three months to respond, and turned in a single-page report.

Despite internal headwinds, Moley achieved an impressive legacy, including the most pro-life foreign policy the State Department has ever implemented. He put in place a strategy to curtail Chinese Communist influence at the UN, oversaw U.S. withdrawal from a “toxic” Human Rights Council and UNESCO, and de-funded the UN Relief and Works Agency. His leadership led to the reduction of overall U.S. assessments to the UN; penalizing UN agencies for violating whistleblower rules; and increasing transparency, through declassification, on reports of Palestinian “rights of return.”

Resistance to Moley’s policy and management reform was swift, including from his most senior foreign service officer (the principal deputy assistant, who occupied Moley’s position in an acting capacity before he arrived). A source familiar with events told the Friday Fax that Moley put a stop to the senior staffer’s practice of wheeling out the liquor every Friday around 3:30 p.m. to conduct “vespers” for bureau staff. He asked her to stop passing out fuzzy toys at senior staff meetings that included personnel from the Secretary of State’s office. According to our source, Moley also rejected as unethical her personal promises to award positions to her favored career staffers, personnel who did not certify as top candidates.
