Karoline Leavitt Answers If Trump Is ‘Satisfied’ With Bongino’s Assassination Attempt Explanation

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt appeared to sidestep a question Wednesday on whether President Donald Trump was “satisfied” with the FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino’s explanation of the assassination attempts against him, refusing to elaborate after Trump said the narrative seemed “a little bit strange.”

Daily Caller White House correspondent Reagan Reese pressed Leavitt on whether Trump was “satisfied” with Bongino’s recent assertion in a Fox News interview Sunday that “the ‘there’ you’re looking for is not there” regarding questions surrounding the attempts on Trump’s life.

“Well, in the lead up to your question, you answered your own question with the president’s own words, and I’ll leave it at that,” Leavitt responded, offering no further clarification.

Trump previously told Fox News host Bret Baier that, while he trusts his team, he finds aspects of the official narrative questionable. “I’m relying on my people to tell me what it is … The Secret Service, they tell me it’s fine. But it’s a little hard to believe,” the president said. “It’s a little bit strange.” (Read more from “Karoline Leavitt Answers If Trump Is ‘Satisfied’ With Bongino’s Assassination Attempt Explanation” HERE)

DHS Secretary Kristi Noem Celebrates Voluntary Dismissal on Case Involving Deported Immigrants

Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Kristi Noem celebrated a court win with a rather notable post over X on Thursday night. Highlighting that she’s been dismissed from a case involving deported illegal immigrants, Noem posted “Suck it.”

The voluntary dismissal in Espinoza Escalona v. Noem came after the plaintiffs, including Maiker Espinoza Escalona was removed from the United States, thus making the lawsuit no longer relevant. The case has been dismissed without prejudice, so it could still come back.

Mario Nawfal, in sharing Noem’s post, shared some information about the case, including how leftist groups that have been defending illegal immigrants during this second Trump administration, such as the American Civili Liberties Union (ACLU), were involved.

Screenshots of Noem’s post, which is still up as of Thursday night, approximately two hours after she shared it, abound, including but not only from Nawfal.

Last month, the DHS X account also shared coverage from ABC News lamenting the plight of Espinoza Escalona and his family. The post tells a far different story from what the media covered, though. Is This the Manifesto Written by the Shooter Who Assassinated Israeli Embassy Staffers in DC?

Israeli Embassy staffers probably expected a quiet evening. They were set to attend an event for young diplomats at the Capital Jewish Museum on Wednesday night in Washington, DC. They would be cut down by gunfire by a rabid antisemite, Elias Rodriguez, who shouted, “Free Palestine,” as he was taken into custody by police.

It was a political assassination. And this might be a manifesto posted by Rodriguez before the attack (via Times of Israel):

The purported manifesto of the suspected gunman in Washington’s Jewish museum shooting posted online Wednesday night defended using “armed action” to protest what he called the “genocide” being carried out against Palestinians in Gaza.

The statement, posted on the social media platform X at exactly 10 p.m. local time, less than an hour after the shooting, was signed by Elias Rodriguez, the name of the suspect arrested by police. It could have been a scheduled post or posted by a third party; its accuracy has not been verified.

[…]

The approximately 900-word online statement mentions the high death toll in Israel’s war against Hamas in Gaza and references US Air Force serviceman Aaron Bushnell — who died after setting himself on fire outside the Israeli Embassy in Washington in February 2024 to protest the war — as on of those who “sacrificed themselves in the hopes of stopping the massacre.”

The statement also expresses dissatisfaction with American support for Israel, claiming that while public opinion has shifted against the Jewish state, “the American government has simply shrugged, they’ll do without public opinion then, criminalize it where they can, suffocate it with bland reassurances that they’re doing all they can to restrain Israel where it cannot criminalize protest outright.”

Doctors, Former Patients Warn of LASIK Eye Surgery Dangers: ‘Biggest Scam Ever Put On the American Public’

The suicide of a 26-year-old Pennsylvania police officer over the after-effects of the popular eye surgery LASIK was not an isolated incident, with others saying it left them with agonizing and life changing symptoms, patients and doctors told The Post.

LASIK providers say the procedure is 95% to 99% safe, but one LASIK survivor said she had suicidal ideations for two years after her “disastrous” surgery in 2000.

She also claimed to know of at least 40 people to have taken their own lives because they couldn’t take constant pain and vision problems, developed after the procedure.

“I really didn’t want to stick around at times, but I decided I would to get the word out about how dangerous this surgery can be,” Paula Cofer, 66, of Tampa, Fla., told The Post Wednesday.

“The LASIK lobby and the surgeons will tell you only one percent of patients have issues afterward. That’s not true. There are multiple studies that indicate otherwise.

“The percentage of those with poor outcomes are in the double digits, not one percent. And they know it,” she claimed. (Read more from “Doctors, Former Patients Warn of LASIK Eye Surgery Dangers: ‘Biggest Scam Ever Put On the American Public’” HERE)

Emergency Management Chief on Leave After Failing to Sound Sirens for Deadly Tornado: Report

The city of St Louis placed its emergency management chief on leave after the staffer failed to activate the tornado sirens before a deadly twister tore through the Midwestern metropolis, according to reports.

Five people were killed, dozens were injured and thousands more were impacted by the tornado last Friday that critics say was made dramatically worse by the failure of the city’s emergency manager to sound the alarm after receiving a National Weather Service alert, according to CBS News.

Sarah Russell, commissioner of the Missouri City Emergency Management Agency for St. Louis, was not at the relevant CEMA office station just before 2:30 p.m. local time when the warning was issued — but was instead at an off-site workshop, the outlet reported.

Russell was forced to call the St. Louis Fire Department, which is the only other location from which the tornado sirens can be turned on, CBS reported.

St. Louis Fire Department officials said Russell gave “ambiguous” orders and therefore they did not sound the 60 outdoor tornado sirens placed around the city, Mayor Cara Spencer revealed, according to the station. DHS Revokes Harvard’s Ability To Enroll Foreign Students

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) revoked Harvard University’s ability to enroll all foreign students on Thursday, telling all current foreign students they must transfer schools in order to keep their visas.

DHS Secretary Kristi Noem sent a letter to Harvard informing the university that its certification for the Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP) had been terminated. Noem further told the school that it can no longer enroll foreign students and that all existing foreign students must transfer schools or lose their legal status.

“This administration is holding Harvard accountable for fostering violence, antisemitism, and coordinating with the Chinese Communist Party on its campus,” Noem said in a press release. “It is a privilege, not a right, for universities to enroll foreign students and benefit from their higher tuition payments to help pad their multibillion-dollar endowments. Harvard had plenty of opportunity to do the right thing. It refused. They have lost their Student and Exchange Visitor Program certification as a result of their failure to adhere to the law. Let this serve as a warning to all universities and academic institutions across the country.”

Harvard has been a consistent target of the Trump administration because of its “toxic campus climate,” including “permitting anti-American, pro-terrorist agitators to harass and physically assault individuals,” and “inaccurate” reporting of foreign funding, including from China.

“Harvard’s leadership further facilitated, and engaged in coordinated activity with the CCP, including hosting and training members of a CCP paramilitary group complicit in the Uyghur genocide,” DHS’s press release notes. CNN Lets Its Anti-Christian Bias Fly With Hit Piece On Pentagon Prayer Service

CNN — a far-left outlet a jury found is literally fake news — is upset that Christians were permitted to openly pray to their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ while on the job at the Pentagon.

The outlet’s hissy fit stems from a Christian prayer service Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth hosted at the Defense Department on Wednesday. The event — for which Hegseth himself said attendance was on a “voluntary basis” — featured remarks and prayers from Hegseth and the defense secretary’s Tennessee-based pastor, Brooks Potteiger.

“This is precisely where I need to be, and I think exactly where we need to be as a nation, at this moment,” Hegseth said, “in prayer, on bended knee recognizing the providence of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. … Knowing that there’s an author in heaven overseeing all of this, who’s underwritten all of it, for us, on the cross, gives me the strength to proceed.”

The service is reportedly slated to become a monthly occurrence.

While the event’s recognition of Christ’s glory is welcome news for a culture in desperate need of spiritual revival, CNN’s Natasha Bertrand and Haley Britzky seemingly felt otherwise. The two “reporters” quickly rushed out a hatchet job featuring remarks from like-minded, left-wing lawyers questioning the legality of the service. Trump’s ‘Big Beautiful Bill’ Defunds Medicaid-Covered Transgender Surgery

President Donald Trump’s sweeping tax and spending budget, lovingly dubbed the “one big, beautiful, bill,” strips Medicaid’s funding for transgender surgeries — a move that will impact a large portion of such procedures if it passes the Senate.

The reconciliation budget, which narrowly passed the House of Representatives early Thursday morning in a 215-214-1 vote, would have initially prohibited Medicaid from covering “gender transition procedures” for children, until a late Wednesday amendment struck the words “minors” and “under 18 years of age” from that section, the Independent reported.

Gender transition treatments that would no longer be covered include puberty blockers, hormone therapy, and surgeries.

A 2023 study by gynecologists from Columbia University and the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, revealed that a staggering 25 percent of so-called “gender-affirming” surgeries in the United States are covered by Medicaid.

Out of the 48,019 patients identified in the report who underwent such surgeries, over 12,000 were Medicaid recipients. (Read more from “Trump’s ‘Big Beautiful Bill’ Defunds Medicaid-Covered Transgender Surgery” HERE)

Trump Forces Country’s President To Watch Video Of Leaders Calling For Genocide

By Daily Caller. President Donald Trump forced the President of the Republic of South Africa to watch videos of the country’s leaders calling for the genocide of white farmers during a meeting in the Oval Office on Wednesday.

South African president Cyril Ramaphosa visited Trump for a bilateral meeting as well as a private lunch. In the middle of their public conversation, Trump ordered his staff to dim the lights and play videos of “genocide in South Africa” for attendees of the meeting.

The video montage showed different clips of political leaders from the minority party in South Africa calling for killing the Boers — a term that means “farmers” and refers to white South Africans — and supporters chanting along. Another clip showed what Trump said were a thousand burial sites of deceased white farmers in South Africa and their families lining up to pay their respects. For most of the footage, Ramaphosa faced forward or glanced at Trump instead of looking at the screen, which was to his right.

“Burial sites. Right here. Burial sites. Over a thousand white farmers and those cars are lined up to pay love on a Sunday morning. Each one of those white things you see is a cross. And there is approximately a thousand of them. They are all white farmers, the family of white farmers. And those cars aren’t driving. They are stopped there to pay respects to their family member who was killed,” Trump said.

Trump Did Something That Left the South African President Aghast

By Townhall. South African President Cyril Ramaphosa’s meeting with President Donald Trump was tense. It wasn’t a screaming match. Mr. Ramaphosa was calm and collected, but Trump showed the African leader footage of farm attacks and leaders of opposition parties clamoring about killing white farmers.

Trump assured Ramaphosa that he wasn’t trying to make him look bad, but the South African leader was aghast. He did try to push back on the claims of white genocide, said his government is strongly opposed to any race-based violence, and attempted to clear the air about the new legislation that aims to strip land from farmers.

Southwest Surprises Customers With Strict New Policy — the First of Its Kind in the Industry

. . .Southwest Airlines is implementing a surprising new restriction on portable chargers to keep these notoriously incendiary devices from bursting into flame mid-flight.

Starting May 28, passengers will be required to keep their power banks in plain sight, making the budget carrier the first to roll out a policy of this kind.

“Using portable charging devices while stored in a bag or overhead bin will no longer be permitted,” a Southwest spokesperson told Business Insider. “Nothing is more important to Southwest than the safety of its customers and employees.”

The airlines will, however, allow passengers to keep the devices in their carry-on bags when not in use.

The logic is that the portable phone juicers run on lithium-ion batteries that can overheat and ignite, so keeping them in plain sight allows flight attendants to identify and extinguish the hazard before it’s too late.

“In the rare event a lithium battery overheats or catches fire, quick access is critical and keeping power banks in plain sight allows for faster intervention and helps protect everyone onboard,” a Southwest rep said, according to Fortune.
