Stormy Daniels Involved with Nxivm?

By The Daily Dot. . .After Daniels did a photo shoot with Penthouse, a question posed on Twitter by the magazine became a hotbed of conspiracies.

NXIVM began as a multi-level marketing scheme that has been accused of devolving into a cult. It made headlines the past two months when its founder, Keith Raniere, was arrested on sex trafficking charges. Former members say Rainere kept women as slaves, branding them and forcing them to have sex. (Read more from “New Conspiracy Claims Stormy Daniels Is Part of Elite Sex Cult” HERE)

New Claims Stormy Daniels Is Part of Elite Sex Cult

By Infowars. Users on social media spotted what they suspect could be a NXIVM branding scar on porn star Stormy Daniels.

Pictures of Daniels circulated message boards and social media, with particular emphasis on the groin area of her body which shows what appears to be a raised “K” shape scar among a flower tattoo piece.

Daniels hit back against the claims, confirming the mark is indeed a scar but that it came from surgery.

“1. I’m a model NOT a client. 2. You are a f*cking psycho. There are literally thousands of pics/video of me nude to disprove your terrible photoshopped conspiracy theory,” she tweeted on Tuesday, adding that it’s a “tattoo covering a surgery scar.” (Read more from “Stormy Daniels Involved with Nxivm?” HERE)

Obama, Hillary and Kerry Rip Trump over Iran. Sarah Sanders Flattens Them with One Statement.

By The Daily Wire. On Wednesday, White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders took aim at the three most prominent Americans who have slammed President Trump’s decision to pull out of the Iran deal: former President Barack Obama and former Secretaries of State Hillary Clinton and John Kerry. After Obama had released a long statement filled with prevarications, Clinton had declared America’s “credibility is shot” and Kerry had intoned Trump’s decision “weakens our security, breaks America’s word” and “isolates us from our European allies,” Sanders had had enough.

Sanders fired back, “I think based on each of those individuals’ lack of success in this entire process on foreign affairs, they would probably be the last three people that we would look to for advice and counsel, and whether or not we had made the right decisions.” . . .

Kerry: “Instead of building on unprecedented nonproliferation verification measures, this decision risks throwing them away and dragging the world back to the brink we faced a few years ago. The extent of the damage will depend on what Europe can do to hold the nuclear agreement together, and it will depend on Iran’s reaction.”

Iran Warns Trump: ‘You’ve Made a Mistake’ over Nuclear Deal

By BBC. Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has addressed US President Donald Trump directly, telling him he “made a mistake” in deciding to leave a multi-country nuclear deal.

Mr Khamenei said: “I said from the first day: don’t trust America.”

He urged his government to get guarantees from European powers before agreeing to continue with the deal.

The 2015 agreement curbed Iran’s nuclear activities in return for the lifting of UN, US and EU sanctions.

It was signed by Mr Trump’s predecessor, Barack Obama, between Iran and the five permanent members of the UN Security Council – the US, UK, France, China and Russia – plus Germany. (Read more from “Iran Warns Trump: ‘You’ve Made a Mistake’ over Nuclear Deal” HERE)

Here’s How the Supreme Court Already Repealed the Second Amendment

In March, retired Supreme Court justice John Paul Stevens called for repealing the Second Amendment, implicitly admitting that it does what, in his dissent in District of Columbia v. Heller (2008), he pretended it does not: prohibit laws infringing the right to keep and bear arms.

Why Stevens called for repeal and dissented in Heller is a mystery, however. The Second Amendment was repealed, in effect, by Heller’s majority opinion. The opinion went beyond questions raised in the case and laid out a rationale by which Congress, states, and courts could ban the private possession of many offensive and defensive arms today and all such arms of the future.

Heller asked the court to decide whether Washington DC’s bans on handguns, having a loaded firearm at home, and carrying a firearm at home without a permit violated the Second Amendment. Although on imperfect grounds, the court correctly ruled that the first two bans were unconstitutional. It also said if DC required a permit to carry a gun at home, it had to issue permits to qualified applicants. But, the court added, “[w]e may as well consider at this point . . . what types of weapons [the Court’s decision in U.S. v. Miller (1939)] permits.” . . .

Miller asked whether the National Firearms Act of 1934 violated the Second Amendment by requiring that a short-barreled shotgun be registered with the federal government. Oddly, before the court heard the case, one defendant died and the other disappeared, so their lawyer didn’t go to Washington to present evidence on their behalf.

The court thus concluded, “[i]n the absence of any evidence tending to show that possession and use of a [short-barreled shotgun] at this time has some reasonable relationship to the preservation or efficiency of a well regulated militia, we cannot say that the Second Amendment guarantees the right to keep and bear such an instrument. Certainly it is not within judicial notice that this weapon is any part of the ordinary military equipment or that its use could contribute to the common defense” (emphasis added). Trump-Lovin’ Student Threatened for Exposing Leftist Attackers

. . .The latest example comes from the State University of New York at Oswego where a conservative student has been reprimanded by a campus administrator for publicly describing what it is like to be a Republican on the overwhelmingly liberal campus.

Her “uncomfortable” speech during an open-mic event in April, she was told, “deeply hurt” students who took offense at her take on liberal intolerance and filed complaints, reported Campus Reform.

Nicole Miller, a third-year marketing major at the college, read a letter she had composed during an event at the campus Lifestyle Center, echoing complaints being voiced by conservative students across the country.

“I’ve been on this campus for almost three years now and let me tell you it’s been hard to show my beliefs here,” she said. “I’ve heard horror stories from other conservatives on this campus about the brutal mental and emotional attacks on them. I’ve had them myself. It sickens me to death that the people that preach tolerance and acceptance of all people are so openly against us and our beliefs.

“I’ve heard many stories from others like me who were attacked for their beliefs. People had their personal property destroyed, their own lives threatened, and administration has done nothing because [we’re] ‘Trump lovers.’ (Read more from “Trump-Lovin’ Student Threatened for Exposing Leftist Attackers” HERE)

Singer Reneges on Pledge to House Muslim Migrants

Singer and pro-mass migration campaigner Lily Allen has said she does not have enough space in her luxury London flat to take in any asylum seekers despite earlier promises.

The pop star has previously implied the British people should be ashamed for not taking in more migrants, whilst apologizing “on behalf of my country” for the migrant crisis in October 2016.

Speaking to the BBC at the migrant camp when asked if she would house a “child migrant,” Allen tearfully replied: “100 per cent. Who wouldn’t? . . .

Now nearly two years later Allen was asked if she had acted on the promise, and how many migrants she had housed. Speaking to the Guardian, she replied:

“None. To be honest, I don’t think social services would let me take in any refugees with my reputation. If I had a really big house I would, but all my bedrooms are occupied with children.”

Twitter Is Banning Conservatives for Posting Facts

Although Congress has focused on Facebook’s alleged censorship in recent weeks, Twitter continues to engage in mass bans of conservatives with little outside scrutiny. Increasingly, these bans come after users post “hate facts” — statements that are factually true, but politically inconvenient for progressives.

The most high-profile individual to be banned on this basis was Islam critic Tommy Robinson, who received a permanent ban from Twitter after he posted statistics showing that Muslims are vastly overrepresented in child grooming gangs in the U.K. Robinson is now taking Twitter to court to prove that “facts are now treated as hate.”

The censorship of British accounts is tied to increasing pressure from European governments for social media platforms to censor their users. Robinson claims that 10,000 Twitter accounts have been closed at the request of the U.K. government over alleged “hate.”

There are now concerns that the accounts of American users are also being shut down at the request of European governments. Nick Monroe, an independent journalist based in America, says he was banned from the platform after he began an investigation of Tell MAMA, an “anti-Islamophobia” organization based in the U.K.

The Home Affairs Select Committee, made up of lawmakers from all British political parties, has previously pressured Twitter into suspending accounts accused of “Islamophobia” by Tell MAMA. Faith Matters, the group that runs Tell MAMA, has previously provided evidence to the committee, and has been referenced during committee discussions of online “hate speech.” (Read more from “Twitter Is Banning Conservatives for Posting Facts” HERE)

Stormy’s Lawyer Reveals Legal Strategy and Even the CNN Employees Were Stunned

By Bizpac Review. . .[Michael] Avenatti just revealed there is apparently a strategy behind his prolific media appearances, though his admission seemed only to earn him a new round of mockery.

The attorney representing the adult film actress has made television appearances part of his legal strategy, convinced it will ultimately lead to a win in the court case against President Trump.

“You tweeted that you are just getting started,” CNN’s Anderson Cooper asked Avenatti Tuesday. “Is that hyperbole, do you have more information, and if so, why not just release it now?”

“Look, if anybody’s been paying attention for the last 8 or 9 weeks they know that there’s not a lot of hyperbole,” Avenatti replied. “We make a lot of statements but we back them up and then some.”

“I have to tell you this — I’m going to touch on this, okay?” Avenatti added. “There’s been a lot of criticism lately…about how our media strategy, and how often I’m on CNN and how often I’ve been on your show.” (Read more from “Stormy’s Lawyer Reveals Legal Strategy and Even the CNN Employees Were Stunned” HERE)

Daniels’ Lawyer: Cohen Got $500k from Russian Oligarch Viktor Vekselberg

By NBC News. Stormy Daniels’ attorney claimed Tuesday that President Donald Trump’s personal lawyer Michael Cohen received $500,000 from a company controlled by a Russian oligarch, deposited into an account for a company also used to pay off the adult film actress.

Daniels’ attorney, Michael Avenatti, also detailed other transactions he said were suspicious, including deposits from drug giant Novartis, the state-run Korea Aerospace Industries, and AT&T.

Novartis confirmed it had paid Cohen’s company, Essential Consultants, and said Special Counsel Robert Mueller had inquired about the arrangement in November. AT&T also confirmed it paid Cohen’s company, for “insights” into the Trump administration.

Avenatti’s claims, made in a dossier posted to Twitter, could suggest a new dimension to the federal investigation into Cohen. NBC News has reviewed financial documents that appear to support Avenatti’s account of the transactions.

Top Secret Source Who Aided Mueller Probe Is Deemed off Limits to Congress, Trump Agrees

House Republicans are again battling with the Justice Department over information related to the Russia investigation, this time over documents the intelligence community said involves a top-secret source who has provided information to the CIA and FBI.

The mysterious source has also gathered information that was given to Special Counsel Robert Mueller as part of his investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election, according to The Washington Post.

WaPo reported Justice Department and intelligence community officials issued a stark warning to the White House on May 2 against a request from House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes. Nunes had submitted a subpoena to the Justice Department on April 24 for records related to the Russia probe.

Justice Department and intelligence community officials argued to White House Chief of Staff John Kelly that complying with the subpoena would reveal the identity of a top-secret source and would undermine protocol regarding intelligence sources, according to WaPo . . .

Kelly discussed the issue with Trump, who sided with the intelligence officials. WaPo noted that it is unclear whether Trump knew that information from the source has been shared with Mueller. Trump has been heavily critical of the Mueller probe, which he has described as a “witch hunt.” (Read more from “Top Secret Source Who Aided Mueller Probe Is Deemed off Limits to Congress, Trump Agrees” HERE)

Here’s How Many Americans Are Now Saying Mueller’s Investigation Is ‘Politically Driven’

By The Blaze. The CBS poll says that 53 percent of Americans now say that the Mueller investigations are “politically motivated,” a charge that President Trump has made repeatedly to discredit the probe. . .

This is a significant change from the same poll questioned administered in December, when 48 percent of Americans called it “politically motivated,” and 46 percent said it was “justified.”

In the intervening months, the offices and residence of the president’s personal lawyer Michael Cohen have been raided after a criminal referral by Mueller. Paul Manafort, the former manager of the Trump campaign, was also raided by the FBI.

A majority of Americans, (53 percent) believe Trump should be questioned, while 42 percent believe he shouldn’t. But, even in this measure, fewer Americans believe in the validity of the Mueller probe. . .

Earlier Tuesday, Stormy Daniels’ lawyer Michael Avenatti released an astounding accusation against Trump’s lawyer Michael Cohen, saying that he had received money from a Russian oligarch after he made the payment to the adult film star. Lawyer Sentenced in Mueller Probe Reports to Prison: Report

By The Hill. A Dutch lawyer who pleaded guilty to lying to investigators examining Russia’s role in the 2016 presidential election has reported to a federal prison to serve out his sentence.

Alex van der Zwaan, 33, arrived at a low-security federal prison near Allenwood, Pa., according to a Politico report.

He was sentenced last month to a $20,000 fine and 30 days in prison, and is expected to be released on June 4, according to the Federal Bureau of Prisons’s website.

The Federal Bureau of Prisons did not immediately respond to The Hill’s requests for comment, nor did the prison, FCI Allenwood Low, where van der Zwaan is serving out his sentence.

In reporting to prison, van der Zwaan becomes the first person charged in special counsel Robert Mueller’s probe to be incarcerated. (Read more from “Lawyer Sentenced in Mueller Probe Reports to Prison: Report” HERE)

Farmer Charged with Shooting Intruder… Floored by Unexpected Surprise in Courtroom

According to CTV News, a farmer from a rural area near Calgary fired a shotgun at intruders who were prowling on his property in February. It worked: The suspects fled, and one was later found with a non-life-threatening shotgun injury to his arm. . . .

Government officials want to make an example out of the farmer, but when he arrived at court Friday, he was faced with something neither he nor prosecutors likely expected: a crowd of residents who came to support the landowner and his right to protect his family . . .

“Why do the criminals have all the rights? It doesn’t seem fair to me,” explained one supporter. “They’re telling us that if we live in the country that we should get gates and lock them. We become prisoners on our own land because of criminals.”

In an increasingly litigious time, Americans — and Canadians, for that matter — must know what the law in their area says about the use of force. There are many misconceptions and myths about defense law, and the time to become educated is before a self defense situation arises.

We cannot comment on Canadian law, but many states in the U.S. stipulate that there must be an imminent threat of bodily harm or death for a firearm to be used in self defense. Though Maurice may have been morally right to defend his property from prowlers, the jury is still out — if you’ll pardon the expression — on whether he was legally justified.
