By The Blaze. A federal judge in California dealt a blow to the lawsuit from adult film star Stormy Daniels against President Trump when he denied her lawyer’s request to repose the president and his lawyer, Michael Cohen . . .

Daniels’ lawyer Michael Avenatti filed the motion in federal court on Wednesday to depose the president and his longtime lawyer Michael Cohen.

Daniels is claiming that she was compelled to sign a non-disclosure agreement about their extramarital affair but that it was not a legal contract because Trump didn’t sign it.

Judge Denies Motion by Stormy Daniels’ Attorney to Depose Trump, Cohen

By CNN. federal judge in California put a temporary stop Thursday to efforts by Stormy Daniels’ attorney to depose President Donald Trump and his personal lawyer, Michael Cohen over a $130,000 payout from Cohen to the porn star before the 2016 election.

Judge S. James Otero of the US District Court for the Central District of California denied the motion for an expedited trial and discovery process, saying Daniels’ attorney, Michael Avenatti, was “premature” in making the motion because Trump and Essential Consultants LLC, the company established by Cohen to pay Daniels the $130,000 to keep quiet about an alleged affair between her and Trump, have not yet filed a petition to compel arbitration, which they have stated they’re going to do.

FBI Questions Author Who Exposed Global Elite

By WND. Ted Malloch, who was discussed for a time as a possible Ambassador to the United Nations for President Donald Trump, reportedly was accosted by federal agents when he got off an airplane.

The sequence of events was described by Jim Hoft at Gateway Pundit, a privately held website.

His report said Malloch “was detained [Wednesday] by the FBI shortly after his plane arrived in Cleveland, Ohio,” and he reports “the FBI could have grabbed him for making ‘false statements’ to two U.S. banks previously reported by the Financial Times on March 2, 2017.”

A Pundit reader told the organization, Infowars, the site for whom Malloch acts as a contributor, reported the author was confronted when he arrived in Cleveland to give a speech.

“He called Dr. Jerome] Corsi [of Infowars] at 1 p.m. and hasn’t been heard from since,” the report said. “He and his wife’s phones have been shut off so they won’t receive calls. He is being interrogated about Russia and Julian Assange and has been given a subpoena to appear before Mueller’s grand jury…” the reader said. FBI Detains Infowars’ Ted Malloch

In Feburary 2017, it was rumored that Malloch was going to be chosen by President Trump to be the Ambassador to the United Nations. SEAL Who Killed Bin Laden Puts ‘out of Control’ Anti-Gun Kids in Their Place

The former Navy SEAL, whose more than 400 missions included putting the fatal shot in the head of terrorist Osama bin Laden, addressed the topic of gun control this week–criticizing student activists who advocate restricting firearm ownership in the wake of last month’s school shooting in Florida.

The demands of teenage activists have regularly included banning the AR-15 and other semiautomatic rifles, as well as raising the firearm purchase age to 21 and expanding background checks.

O’Neill’s comment about kids telling “sensible gun-owners how many rounds they need” appeared to be a response to a Democrat-sponsored bill introduced Monday that would require background checks for purchasing ammunition . . .

The legendary Navy SEAL responded to a Twitter user who said he shouldn’t criticize Parkland survivors because he has never been “what they went through.”

The veteran wasn’t alone in taking aim at the gun control movement.

Report: Obama Admin. Risked SS Benefits of Americans to Give ‘Dreamers’ Amnesty

The Obama administration risked the Social Security benefits of millions of Americans to advance DACA amnesty, a Temple University law professor claims.

Jan Ting, writing in the Washington Times, says the Obama administration secretly ended a policy to prevent Social Security fraud, all to ensure that illegal immigrants eligible for the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program were not dissuaded from applying to the program because they’ve used false Social Security numbers.

Noting that the Social Security Administration estimates that three out of every four illegal aliens possess Social Security numbers fraudulently, Ting explains how this became a problem for the Obama administration’s DACA amnesty.

“When U.S. Citizen and Immigration Services (USCIS) began accepting DACA applications on Aug. 15, 2012, applicants were required to complete a standard work authorization form that required applicants to ‘include all [Social Security] numbers [they] have ever used.’ In other words, many DACA applicants would have been obliged to confess in writing that they had committed a felony,” Ting writes.

Recognizing that many potential DACA recipients would not sign up for the program and risk being caught committing fraud, the Obama administration announced it was “not interested” in identifying cases of SSN fraud. Going further, the Obama Social Security Administration was ordered to “suspend its decades-old practice of notifying employees by mail if the name and SSN under which their wages were being reported by their employers did not match the name and SSN in the SSA’s own records,” according to Ting.

The public was not told. Worse, American Social Security benefits were put at risk.

Many SSN “mismatches” are due to identity fraud, which means that many Dreamers were at risk of receiving mismatch letters from the SSA. Since awareness that they had been “flagged” as identity thieves might well have dissuaded them from disclosing their whereabouts in a DACA application, suspension of the SSA program was a logical add-on to the other actions taken by the administration to prevent fear of identity-theft prosecution from depressing DACA applications.

However, many “mismatches” are due, not to fraud, but to inadvertent errors in the tax-reporting forms that the worker supplied to the employer or the employer supplied to the SSA. (A very common error is the use of a married name by a female worker who did not notify the SSA of her name change.) Mismatch letters were therefor[e] a vital tool for protecting the Social Security benefits of U.S. citizens and other lawful workers. If the worker was unaware of the mismatch and had no opportunity to correct the error, he or she would receive no Social Security benefits on account of the reported wages. (emphasis added)

The Obama administration stopped enforcing the law by notifying employers of instances of Social Security mismatch. As a result, millions of Americans may have had their Social Security benefits endangered, all because the lawless Obama administration made amnesty for illegal immigrants a priority.

The reason we know about this is infuriating. Ting explains that “the fact of the suspension was buried in a footnote to an SSA Records Maintenance notice and, until now, was virtually unknown outside the SSA.”

Social Security benefits of American citizens were put at risk for amnesty, and the Obama administration couldn’t be bothered to tell anyone outside a footnote in a government report. Unbelievable. The Department of Justice and the FBI is now under a new investigation – here’s why

By The Blaze. The Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz announced Wednesday that he opened an investigation into allegations that the FBI’s surveillance capabilities were politicized in advance of the 2016 election . . .

In a statement released Wednesday, Horowitz said, “The OIG will initiate a review that will examine the Justice Department’s and the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s compliance with legal requirements, and with applicable DOJ and FBI policies and procedures, in applications filed with the U.S. Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court (FISC) relating to a certain U.S. person.”

“As part of this examination,” he added, “the OIG also will review information that was known to the DOJ and the FBI at the time the applications were filed from or about an alleged FBI confidential source.”

The new probe was in answer to requests from Republican members of Congress and Attorney General Jeff Sessions.

FBI Boss Wray ‘Doubling’ Agents Responding to Subpoena on Clinton, McCabe, FISA Abuses

By Fox News. FBI Director Christopher Wray on Tuesday announced plans to “double the number” of agents handling records for the House Judiciary Committee after it asked for documents on the Clinton email probe, potential FISA abuses and the firing of Deputy Director Andrew McCabe.

According to a statement released by Wray, he believes the documents requested by committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte, R-Va., are “likely in the thousands” but that he agrees the “current pace of production is too slow.”

In attempt to comply with the committee’s request, Wray said he was “doubling” his team . . .

But, a DOJ insider told Fox News that Attorney General Jeff Sessions has voiced his concern over the “unacceptable” pace with which the FBI is working and is “done” seeing his department criticized over it.

“He’s told Wray that the pace is unacceptable and that if the FBI needs to double the number of people working on this, then that’s what they need to do, but he is done seeing the Department criticized for the FBI’s slow walking of requests from Congress like the last administration when this requests should be a top priority,” the insider said. Sessions Catches Another Alleged Intelligence Leaker – This One’s a Former FBI Agent

By The Blaze. . .Federal criminal charges filed in Minnesota charge that Terry James Albury illegally disclosed national defense information.

Albury is accused of sharing a document “relating to threats posed by certain individuals from a particular Middle Eastern country” to a national media outlet, likely The Intercept.

A second charge said that he refused to produce a document “relating to the use of an online platform for recruitment by a specific terrorist group.” . . .

Lawyers for Albury said in a statement that he would be taking responsibility for his actions, but offered a hint of his motivation for leaking the documents.

Justice Dept. Charges Minnesota FBI Agent for Leaking Secret Document to News Outlet

By Star Tribune. A former Minneapolis FBI agent who sought to expose what he called “systemic biases” within the bureau has been charged after allegedly leaking secret documents to a national news reporter, according to federal criminal charges filed in Minnesota this week.

The charges, filed by prosecutors for the Justice Department’s National Security Division, are the first to come in Minnesota since Attorney General Jeff Sessions announced a broad crackdown on government leaks last year.

A two-page felony information, a charging document that typically signals an imminent guilty plea, outlines two counts filed against Terry James Albury of unlawfully disclosing and retaining national defense information. Trump Ousts Scandal-Plagued Veterans Affairs Secretary, Appoints Replacement

Trump tweeted: “I am pleased to announce that I intend to nominate highly respected Admiral Ronny L. Jackson, MD, as the new Secretary of Veterans Affairs. In the interim, Hon. Robert Wilkie of DOD will serve as Acting Secretary. I am thankful for Dr. David Shulkin’s service to our country and to our GREAT VETERANS!” . . .

A Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Office of Inspector General (OIG) report found that Shulkin intentionally lied to government ethics officials and then lied to investigators to cover up his misuse of government funds. Trump Fires VA Secretary David Shulkin, Taps Navy Physician as Replacement

By The Washington Times. ust hours earlier, a spokesman for Mr. Shulkin told The Washington Times that there were “no personnel changes to announce” at the agency, despite mounting reports that Mr. Trump was preparing to remove Mr. Shulkin.

“President Trump has made clear that he expects the department’s sole focus to be on providing quality care to America’s veterans who have sacrificed to keep this country free and safe,” VA spokesman Curt Cashour said.

A White House spokesman said Monday that Mr. Trump had confidence in Mr. Shulkin “at this point in time.” Some major veterans groups expressed support for keeping Mr. Shulkin in the post.

Mr. Shulkin was a rare holdover from the Obama administration in Mr. Trump’s Cabinet, having served as undersecretary of health at the VA from 2015 to 2017. While the president initially praised his performance, he began to sour on Mr. Shulkin this year after an inspector general’s report criticized the secretary for wasting taxpayer money on a trip to Europe with his wife last summer.

2020 Census Will Include Citizenship Question and One State in Particular Is Freaking Out

By Bizpac Review. The “sanctuary state” of California plans to file a lawsuit to block the Trump administration’s move to include a question about citizenship on the 2020 Census.

“Including a citizenship question on the 2020 census is not just a bad idea — it is illegal,” California attorney general Xavier Becerra claimed on Twitter.

Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross said the citizenship question is necessary to obtain “complete and accurate data” about voter makeup in the country. He explained in a letter:

“The decennial census is mandated in the Constitution and its data are relied on for a myriad of important government decisions, including apportionment of Congressional seats among states, enforcement of voting rights laws, and allocation of federal funds. These are foundational elements of our democracy, and it is therefore incumbent upon the Department and the Census Bureau to make every effort to provide a complete and accurate decennial census.

2020 Census Will Ask About Respondents’ Citizenship Status

By NPR. The U.S. Commerce Department announced late Monday that it will restore a question about citizenship to the 2020 census questionnaire.

In an eight-page memo Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross says the Justice Department has requested that the census ask who is a citizen in order to help determine possible violations of the Voting Rights Act, to help enforce that law . . .

The last time a question about citizenship was included in the census questionnaire was 1950. Such a question is posed in the annual American Community Survey which covers about 3.5 million people . . .

And, Democratic Rep. Grace Meng of New York issued a statement: “I am deeply disappointed with Secretary Ross, and I will now look to introduce legislation to stop this question from being included on the census.”

EPIC FAIL: Parkland Student Makes Most False Statement Ever About Second Amendment

On Tuesday, a student from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School made one of the most factually false statements about the Second Amendment in the history of Twitter, which ignited the social media platform into a firestorm.

In a tweet, far-left activist Cameron Kasky claimed: “The first amendment has restrictions. The second amendment has no restrictions. These weapons are not in the hands of “well-regulated” militias. The changes the people are demanding do not desecrate the second amendment, they just make it a safe addition to our constitution.”

Here are just some of the regulations that limit the scope of the Second Amendment

National Firearms Act (NFA) – “The importation of certain firearms, including but not limited to, machineguns, silencers, certain weapons made from rifles or shotguns, and destructive devices is also restricted under the National Firearms Act (NFA). 26 U.S.C. § 5844.”

Arms Export Control Act of 1976 (AECA) – “The importation of certain defense articles to include certain firearms, firearms parts, ammunition and certain other military equipment is subject to the provisions of the Arms Export Control Act of 1976 (AECA). 22 U.S.C. § 2778.”

NRA Gets Flooded With Donations After Being Attacked

By The Daily Wire. On Tuesday, a new report revealed that donations to the National Rifle Association’s (NRA) political action committee significantly increased in February after they were attacked by the media and far-left activists in the wake of the Parkland shooting.

“The PAC raised a total of $779,063 in February and reported $247,985 in donations in January,” an increase of over 300%, The Washington Free Beacon reported.

The massive surge in donations comes after the gun rights group has been viciously attacked by the media and far-left activists like Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School student David Hogg, who has referred to the NRA as “child murderers” on multiple occasions. NRA PAC Donations More Than Tripled in February

By Washington Free Beacon. Donations to the National Rifle Association’s (NRA) political action committee more than tripled in February in comparison to its contributions from January, filings show.

The donations increased as liberal activists, politicians, and celebrities have called for more gun control measures and singled out the NRA and Republican politicians who have received support from the group following the Feb. 14 shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Fla., that left 17 dead.

Speakers at the “March for Our Lives” rally this past Saturday in Washington, D.C., continued the push by calling for an AR-15 ban and restrictions on “high capacity magazines.”

Supporters of the NRA appear to have responded by infusing more money into the organization’s political action committee. The NRA’s Political Victory Fund, the group’s PAC, experienced a nearly five-fold increase in itemized donations immediately following the attack, according to the Center for Responsive Politics . . .

For the two-week period prior to the shooting—from Jan. 31 to Feb. 13—the NRA’s PAC received $27,100 from 51 itemized contributions, or large contributions from individuals in the amount of $200 or more. The names, dates, and amounts of the contributions from donors who give more than $200 are included in filings, allowing for a count of large contributors.
