Dramatic Selloff Of U.S. Bonds Hits, Investors Worried About U.S. Economy

On Wednesday, in an apparent response to the latest tariff increase by President Donald Trump on China to 104%, the yield – or interest rate – on the benchmark 10-year U.S. Treasury bond rose again, possibly spurring a cut in interest rates by the Federal Reserve.

“The exodus from longer-dated US Treasuries accelerated, fueling the biggest selloff since 2020 in what are supposed to be the world’s safest assets,” Yahoo Finance reported. U.S. Bonds are backed by the government, and the U.S. economy has been the strongest in the world for decades, so investors think the government will not default on them, making them a safe proposition. But they become less valuable as inflation rises, and some investors have been voicing concern that inflation may well result if President Trump’s tariffs are too harsh and are left in place.

On Monday, JP Morgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon warned of inflationary pressure, saying, “Whatever you think of the legitimate reasons for the newly announced tariffs — and, of course, there are some — or the long-term effect, good or bad, there are likely to be important short-term effects. We are likely to see inflationary outcomes, not only on imported goods but on domestic prices, as input costs rise and demand increases for domestic products. Whether or not the menu of tariffs causes a recession remains in question, but it will slow down growth.”

“This is a fire sale of Treasuries,” Calvin Yeoh of Blue Edge Advisors said. “I haven’t seen moves or volatility of this size since the chaos of the pandemic.” (Read more from “Dramatic Selloff Of U.S. Bonds Hits, Investors Worried About U.S. Economy” HERE)

Senate Confirms Elbridge Colby To Top Pentagon Post

In a 54-45 vote, the U.S. Senate voted on Tuesday to confirm Elbridge Colby to be the next under secretary of defense for policy at the Pentagon. Several Democrat senators joined Republicans in supporting Colby, including Jack Reed of Rhode Island, Elisa Slotkin of Michigan, and Mark Kelly of Arizona. Sen. Mitch McConnell of Kentucky was the lone Republican to vote against the nominee’s confirmation.

Colby’s nomination was advanced to the full Senate following a vote by the Senate Armed Services Committee last week. The committee did not release a final vote tally, only saying in a press release that Colby’s nomination was reported “favorably” in a roll call vote.

As under secretary of defense for policy, Colby will play a significant role in facilitating President Donald Trump’s policy priorities throughout the Defense Department. According to the Congressional Research Service, the position’s office “leads the development of the National Defense Strategy (NDS), routinely represents the Department of Defense (DOD) to interagency and international partners, and has a key role in preserving civilian control of the military.”

Colby previously served as the deputy assistant secretary of defense for strategy and force development in the first Trump administration. (Read more from “Senate Confirms Elbridge Colby To Top Pentagon Post” HERE)

House Dem More Supportive Of Trump Tariffs Than Many Republicans

One of the biggest Congressional champions of President Donald Trump’s tariff policy hails from the Democratic Party.

Democratic Rep. Jared Golden of Maine, who has consistently won reelection in a district Trump carried by nine percentage points in 2024, is emerging as one of the most ardent defenders of the administration’s recent tariffs. While some Congressional Republicans are seeking to rein in the president’s tariff authority, Golden is urging Trump to not listen to detractors urging him to stop implementing tariffs on countries around the world.

“My biggest worry is that they’re [the Trump administration] going to do this and lose faith and political will and back away,” Golden told Axios Tuesday.

Golden’s apparent support for the president’s baseline and reciprocal tariffs comes as some Congressional Republicans are moving to undercut the president’s authority to impose unilateral tariffs. (Read more from “House Dem More Supportive Of Trump Tariffs Than Many Republicans” HERE)

‘Arizona Is Safer This Morning’: Kristi Noem Leads DHS, Ice Deportation Raid in Phoenix

Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Kristi Noem led an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) deportation raid in Arizona on Tuesday.

According to the New York Post, Noem “led about 100 federal agents on an early morning raid” in Phoenix. During the “multi-agency” raid, which was led by Phoenix ICE agents, three illegal aliens who were wanted on charges relating to “weapons and drug offenses to running a money laundering operation,” were captured, according to the outlet.

Noem told the outlet that “the effort of cooperation” there was “between agencies is getting turned onto steroids,” and added that anyone in the United States illegally “that’s committing crimes and has broken our laws will face consequences.”

“The effort of cooperation we have between agencies is getting turned onto steroids,” Noem told the outlet. “We have this being multiplied across the country exponentially. Now anyone who’s in this country illegally that’s committing crimes and has broken our laws will face consequences.”

SURVEY: 55% Of Self-Identified Leftists Say Killing Trump Is Justifiable

The unhinged left, fueled by Trump Derangement Syndrome and seething hatred for Elon Musk, is trending more violent, according to a new study that finds political violence targeting President Donald Trump and his billionaire adviser is “becoming increasingly normalized.”

The report, produced by the Network of Contagion Research Institute (NCRI) in partnership with Rutgers University’s Social Perception Lab, finds a broader “assassination culture” appears to be “emerging within segments of the U.S. public on the extreme left, with expanding targets now including figures such as Donald Trump.”

Less than a year after assassination attempts on then-presidential candidate Trump and the literally explosive violence against Musk’s Tesla electric vehicles, it’s no secret that leftists are ratcheting up violent rhetoric and actions. The more troubling trend is that an “assassination culture” isn’t just coming from the “fringe” left.

“These attitudes are not fringe — they reflect an emergent assassination culture, grounded in far-left authoritarianism and increasingly normalized in digital discourse,” states the report, titled, “Assassination Culture: How Burning Teslas and Killing Billionaires Became a Meme Aesthetic for Political Violence.”

NCRI, an independent institution working to “identify and forecast emerging threats in the era of information disorder,” finds the pattern is building on a broader trend discussed in two reports in December that analyzed “how viral social media narratives were legitimizing political violence, particularly in the aftermath of the United Healthcare CEO’s assassination.” (Read more from “SURVEY: 55% Of Self-Identified Leftists Say Killing Trump Is Justifiable” HERE)

BIG MYSTERY: FBI Director Kash Patel Names Rabid Anti-J6’er to Run DC’s FBI Field Office

In a head-scratching move, FBI Director Kash Patel has reportedly appointed Steven Jensen to lead the coveted FBI Washington Field Office. According to the New York Times, Jensen “played a key role in responding to the attack on the Capitol” on January 6th.

Jensen was then tasked as the Section Chief of the Domestic Terrorism Operations Section, according to former FBI Agent Kyle Seraphin. Seraphin, a whistleblower and member of a group of persecuted federal agent whistleblowers known as “The Suspendables,” said that the Domestic Terrorism group was “fixated” on Jan. 6. Jensen conducted two daily calls with law enforcement across the country regarding the protest, where he “breathlessly exclaimed the country was under attack by J6ers,” according to a former FBI National Security Intelligence Supervisor.

The New York Times writes:

Mr. Jensen was also responsible for establishing a system to monitor incidents of violence at school board meetings across the country as potential acts of domestic terrorism — one of the most serious complaints that Mr. Patel himself had about the F.B.I. under the Biden administration.

The decision from Director Patel is odd considering his criticism of the treatment of many Jan. 6 protesters. Meanwhile, many aspects of that day still remain unaddressed by the Bureau, including the Jan. 6 pipe bomber’s identity, which was a frequent topic on now-Assistant Director Dan Bongino’s Rumble podcast, and the number of FBI Agents or assets that were in the crowd that day, also something AD Bongino has alluded to previously on his podcast.

What Trump Shockingly Told Kamala Harris When She Called Him to Concede the 2024 Election

Donald Trump caught former Vice President Kamala Harris and her aides off guard when the typically abrasive president politely praised her as a “tough cookie” and congratulated her on running a “great” campaign when she called him to concede his victory in the 2024 election, according to a new book.

“I’m calling to concede. It was a fair election. The peaceful transfer of power is important. It’s important to the country,” Harris reportedly told Trump on the phone the day after the election, according to author Chris Whipple‘s new book “Uncharted: How Trump Beat Biden, Harris, and the Odds in the Wildest Campaign in History.”

However, she could not help but take a light jab at the divisive president-elect at the time, adding “I hope you’re president for all Americans.”

Instead of taking that comment personally and snapping back, however, Trump was cordial and even praised Harris’ late-entry campaign as he basked in his historic win, according to Whipple.

“You’re a tough cookie. You were really great. And that Doug — what a character! I love that guy,” the now-president said, referring to Harris’ husband, Doug Emhoff. (Read more from “What Trump Shockingly Told Kamala Harris When She Called Him to Concede the 2024 Election” HERE)

Tulsi Gabbard Promises to Expose Biden’s Surveillance State

Anyone who served in the Biden administration ought to be sweating bullets right now because their worst nightmare is coming true. Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard has publicly committed to exposing the previous administration’s domestic surveillance and censorship programs. This development represents exactly why the Democrats fought so desperately to block her confirmation.

Americans are about to learn the full scope of how the Biden administration weaponized federal agencies against its own citizens. America First Legal (AFL) called on Director Gabbard to declassify and release documents detailing the administration’s classified surveillance strategy.

“We write to you today to request that your office conduct a declassification review of the classified version of the Biden Administration’s 2021 ‘National Strategy for Countering Domestic Terrorism’ (‘domestic surveillance strategy’),” AFL wrote in a letter dated April 2, 2025. “In June 2021, the Biden Administration published its whole-of-government approach to censoring disfavored speech on the Internet by labeling such speech ‘misinformation,’ ‘disinformation,’ ‘hate speech,’ ‘domestic terrorism,’ or other similar monikers. In July of that year, America First Legal Foundation (“AFL”) launched an investigation into the Administration’s implementation of that plan.”

The letter continued:

Through a separate lawsuit, challenging an illegally constituted Federal Advisory Committee at the Department of Homeland Security (“DHS”), AFL learned that the Biden Administration had published an accompanying classified version of the domestic surveillance strategy. Based on the released meeting minutes, someone-presumably from within the Biden Administration-described the classified version of the strategy as “crisp and clear” and having “defined responsibilities.” This stands in contrast to the broad and generalized language included in the public-facing document.

Resign: Justice Roberts’ Secret Friendship With Norm Eisen Has Been Revealed

After you finish this blog, you’ll be asking the million-dollar question: Why is Chief Justice John Roberts hanging out with the Deep State’s #1 color revolution architect?

Turns out the left’s favorite “Republican” has some very interesting buddies.

According to Norm Eisen—the man who practically wrote the Deep State’s playbook on color revolutions, all things anti-Trump, and lawfare in the US—he and Chief Justice John Roberts are not only good pals, but they even spent a week together in the Czech Republic. According to Norm, the two BFFs were there working on “American rule of law” issues.

Hmm…

Norm was so proud of this that he actually bragged about the trip and made it very clear that Roberts isn’t corrupt—he’s just a “close friend” who happened to fly overseas and stay at Eisen’s posh 150-room palace to collaborate on transatlantic political projects.

Really…

And no, that’s not just weird; it’s a massive conflict of interest and could also explain a lot.

As it stands now, Justice Roberts has no business presiding over any of the cases that Eisen and his army of lawfare activists are funneling through the courts, and we all know Norm is tied to so many of these weaponized cases. He should have been recusing himself from the get-go—and probably outright resigning—for the integrity of the court.

Trump Rejects European Union’s ‘Zero-For-Zero’ Tariff Resolution to Remove Industrial Fees on Us Goods: ‘Not Looking at That’

President Trump turned down a proposal by the European Union Monday for a “zero-for-zero” tariff scheme on industrial products, saying the offer was “not” enough to reverse 20% duties on imports.

“The EU has been very tough over the years,” Trump told reporters in the Oval Office when asked about the offer. “It was formed to really do damage to the United States in trade.”

“They don’t take our cars, like Japan in that sense. They don’t take our agricultural product; they don’t take anything practically,” he went on.

“We have a [trade] deficit with the European Union of $350 billion — and it’s going to disappear fast,” he added. “And one of the ways that that can disappear easily and quickly is they’re going to have to buy our energy from us.”

Asked elsewhere about whether the global tariffs imposed Saturday were merely an opening for further negotiations, Trump responded: “We’re not looking at that.” (Read more from “Trump Rejects European Union’s ‘Zero-For-Zero’ Tariff Resolution to Remove Industrial Fees on Us Goods: ‘Not Looking at That’” HERE)
