Dem Rep Gets Dragged Online After Wildly Inflating Health Insurance Profit by $1.32T After Unitedhealthcare CEO Murder

Progressive Rep. Ro Khanna appeared to seize upon the UnitedHealthcare CEO assassination drama and stoke populist outrage — but wound up wildly overstating private health insurance companies’ profit margins by $1.32 trillion.

Khanna (D-Calif.) took to X Monday and initially claimed that the seven “largest private health insurers collected $1.39 trillion in profit” in 2023 before retracting that statement and admitting that figure represented revenue, not profits.

“It is absurd that Big Insurance is raking in trillions while Americans are pinching pennies to afford treatment. We need Medicare for All now,” the Silicon Valley pol proclaimed.

His post got hit with a Community Note and the Dem rep later acknowledged in a correction that the real profit figure for the top seven health insurance companies was closer to $70.7 billion in profits during 2023.

For context, total US health care spending was roughly $4.8 trillion in 2023, according to a study published in Health Affairs. The US gross domestic product was just under $28 trillion last year. Report: 2017 DOJ Spied on Kash Patel, Lawmakers, Congressional Staffers, Reporters

Department of Justice (DOJ) Inspector General Michael Horowitz on Tuesday found that the Justice Department in 2017 secretly surveilled lawmakers, congressional staffers, and reporters.

CNN reported that the Justice Department, in 2017, during Trump’s first term in office, secretly obtained records of Reps. Adam Schiff (D-CA) and Eric Swalwell (D-CA), Patel – who was at the time a Republican staffer for the House Intelligence Committee – as well as 21 Democrat congressional staffers, 20 Republican staffers (including Patel,) two nonpartisan congressional staffers, and eight reporters.

President-elect Donald Trump has nominated Patel to serve as the FBI Director.

Career prosecutors at the Justice Department sought records, including emails from journalists at CNN, the Washington Post, and the New York Times. (Read more from “Report: 2017 DOJ Spied on Kash Patel, Lawmakers, Congressional Staffers, Reporters” HERE)

‘Do Not Get Involved!’ Trump Puts Boot Into Russia as Overstretched Armed Forces Fail to Come to Assad’s Aid

By WND. U.S. president-elect Donald Trump said on Sunday that Syrian President Bashar Assad had “fled his country” after losing the backing of Russia. “Assad is gone,” he said on his Truth Social platform. “His protector, Russia, led by Vladimir Putin, was not interested in protecting him any longer. Russia had no reason to be there in the first place. They lost all interest in Syria because of Ukraine. Russia and Iran are now in a weak position, one, because of Ukraine and a bad economy, and two because of Israel and its success in fighting.”

The Syrian government fell early Sunday in a stunning end to the more than 50-year rule of the Assad family after a sudden rebel offensive sprinted across government-held territory and entered the capital in 10 days. Biden Says Fall of Assad Regime in Syria Is a ‘Historic Opportunity’

By ABC News. President Joe Biden addressed the nation Sunday afternoon after meeting with his national security team, calling the fall of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s “abhorrent” regime a “historic opportunity for the long-suffering people of Syria.”

“At long last, the Assad regime has fallen,” Biden said. “This regime brutalized, tortured and killed literally hundreds of thousands of innocent Syrians.”

At the same time, it’s “also a moment of risk and uncertainty,” Biden added, saying that the U.S. would “support Syria’s neighbors, including Jordan, Lebanon, Iraq, and Israel, should any threat arise.”

He also said the U.S. is “mindful” of the security of Americans in Syria, including American freelance journalist and Marine Corps veteran Austin Tice, who was kidnapped while reporting in Syria in 2012. Biden said it will “remain committed to returning [Tice] to his family.”

“This is a moment of considerable risk and uncertainty,” Biden said. “But I also believe this is the best opportunity in generations for Syrians to forge their own future free of opposition.” (Read more from “Biden Says Fall of Assad Regime in Syria Is a ‘Historic Opportunity’” HERE)

DEI FBI Agent Convicted of Robbing People Blind During J6 Home Raid

How much lower can the FBI sink? Just when you think this disgraceful agency has hit rock bottom, they manage to dig even deeper. This time, it’s yet another DEI hire making a total mockery of the badge. Agent Nicholas Anthony Williams has been arrested and convicted for robbing people blind during home invasion raids—and yes, at least one of those raids targeted a January 6th political prisoner.

As if it wasn’t bad enough that the regime weaponized the FBI to go after non-violent Americans, now we find out that during those raids, Agent Williams was lurking around like a common thief, helping himself to their belongings.

Honestly, this is what the DEI agenda does: it takes our once-esteemed agencies and institutions and turns them into a colossal joke. And sadly, it’s still going strong, as this shameful story proves.

Liberty News:

A former FBI agent, Nicholas Anthony Williams, has been convicted of stealing cash, valuables, and other property while executing search warrants, including items taken from the home of a non-violent January 6 defendant. The conviction, tied to a series of thefts spanning years, has further fueled scrutiny of federal law enforcement practices.

Williams, 36, worked in the FBI’s Houston field office since 2019. He was indicted in January 2023 in the Southern District of Texas on charges of theft, fraud, and making false statements. According to court documents, Williams exploited his role as a federal agent to steal money and property during searches, which he then converted for personal use.

The stolen items included cash, silver bars, cell phones, and government-issued property. Williams also made false claims about fraudulent charges on his FBI-issued credit card, alleging they were legitimate case-related expenses. His actions culminated in a September guilty plea, in which he confessed to five thefts committed between 2020 and 2023.

Supreme Court Stunner: Secret Gender Transitions at Schools Can Continue

The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday let stand a ruling that subjugates parental rights to school politics.

The ruling that had come out of the 7th U.S. District Court of Appeals in a Wisconsin fight claimed that parental rights were not affected when schools secretly encouraged children to be transgender, so the parents had no standing to bring the case.

Justices Samuel Alito, Brett Kavanaugh and Clarence Thomas would have granted the petition, according to the court announcement, as it’s an issue that is coming up more and more.

Alito explained, “This case presents a question of great and growing national importance: whether a public school district violates parents’ ‘fundamental constitutional right to make decisions concerning the rearing of’ their children…when, without parental knowledge or consent, it encourages a student to transition to a new gender or assists in that process.”

Thomas joined in the statement that added, “We are told that more than 1,000 districts have adopted such policies.” (Read more from “Supreme Court Stunner: Secret Gender Transitions at Schools Can Continue” HERE)

Suspect in Child Molestation Videos Posted to Dark Web Identified by His Tattoos, FBI Says

A suspect in a child molestation video was identified in part by his tattoos that had been recorded in another molestation case, according to the FBI.

Agents of the FBI Dallas Field Office in San Angelo arrested 48-year-old Christopher Lynn Driskill on Nov. 26 and charged him with production of child pornography.

Driskill was living with his parents in Coleman, Texas, according to the FBI.

The FBI said Driskill was identified by his tattoos after someone he had been dating told Coleman Police that Driskill said while drunk that he had molested a child in Coleman and recorded the molestation. Driskill denied the allegation when interviewed by investigators, and the child did not make an outcry when interviewed, so police closed the case due to lack of evidence.

However, Driskill’s video interview with police led to images of his tattoos being uploaded to a FBI database and were used to link him to a heinous case of child molestation. (Read more from “Suspect in Child Molestation Videos Posted to Dark Web Identified by His Tattoos, FBI Says” HERE)

Zelensky Wants Western Troops Providing Security to End War in Ukraine

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Monday that he’s open to the potential deployment of Western troops in Ukraine to guarantee the country´s security as part of a broad effort to end the almost three-year war with Russia.

The deployment would be a step toward Ukraine joining NATO, Zelenskyy said in a post on his Telegram channel.

“But before that, we must have a clear understanding of when Ukraine will be in the European Union and when Ukraine will be in NATO,” Zelenskyy said.

His proposals tread a delicate diplomatic path amid international efforts to find a way of ending Europe’s biggest conflict since World War II at a time when Russia has gained an upper hand in the fighting. Here’s the List of People a Research Group Wants Pete Hegseth to Fire

A group of military leaders has made waves by releasing a list of individuals they believe should be fired if Pete Hegseth gets confirmed as President-elect Donald Trump’s Secretary of Defense.

The American Accountability Foundation (AAF), composed of current and former military personnel, sent a letter to Hegseth arguing that these people are part of the entrenched bureaucracy within the Pentagon that has undermined military readiness and American values.

Hegseth has been a staunch critic of the military’s management for several years. The group believes this is an opportunity to purge what it views as a woke establishment that has compromised the integrity of the nation’s military.

Tom Jones, a former aide to Republican senators who now leads the AAF, said that the current leadership prioritizes diversity and social norms and does not focus enough on the military’s readiness and policies, such as national security. He said those on the list are “pretty egregious” advocates for diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) policies.

He praised Hegseth for being vocal about being “pretty clear that [DEI] has no place in the military.” (Read more from “Here’s the List of People a Research Group Wants Pete Hegseth to Fire” HERE)

Trump’s nominees include Kevin Hassett for director of the National Economic Council, Howard Lutnick for secretary of commerce, and Scott Bessent for secretary of the treasury. Team Trump told Blaze News that the nominees will work in the administration to prioritize American workers and industry jobs as well as “permanently establish” Trump’s tax cuts and eliminate taxes on tips, overtime, and Social Security.

“The American people gave President Trump a mandate to Make America Wealthy Again by restoring our economy to be even better than his first term,” Karoline Leavitt, spokeswoman for the Trump-Vance transition team, told Blaze News.

“From Howard Lutnick and Scott Bessent’s experience as transformative leaders on Wall Street to Kevin Hassett’s proven policy record from President Trump’s first term, these nominees are ready to invest in the American people,” Leavitt continued. “Together, they form a team of economic experts dedicated to fighting for working families and Making America Wealthy Again.”

Lutnick has been a “transformative leader” on Wall Street for the last 40 years. As a tribute, Lutnick committed himself to rebuilding the firm to support the families of those whose lives were lost and to “provide a source of hope and strength for survivors.” (Read more from “How Team Trump plans to ‘Make America Wealthy Again'” HERE)

Daniel Penny Found Not Guilty in NYC Subway Chokehold Case

A New York City jury on Monday found Marine veteran Daniel Penny not guilty of criminally negligent homicide in the chokehold death of Jordan Neely on a New York City subway car in 2023.

CBS News reports Penny, 26, pleaded not guilty to charges of second-degree manslaughter and criminally negligent homicide.

The judge dismissed the second-degree manslaughter charge against Penny on Friday after jurors said they could not come to a unanimous decision.

Penny’s lawyers said he was protecting himself and other subway passengers from a volatile, mentally ill man who was making alarming remarks and gestures. The defense also disputed a city medical examiner’s finding that the chokehold killed Neely.

Prosecutors said Penny reacted far too forcefully to someone he perceived as a peril, not a person. (Read more from “Daniel Penny Found Not Guilty in NYC Subway Chokehold Case” HERE)
