DOGE’s Work Is Meaningless Unless Republicans Get Serious About Cutting Spending

The Trump administration’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) has made commendable progress in identifying areas of waste, fraud, and abuse throughout the federal government. But failure by congressional Republicans to codify cuts to these items and other wasteful spending into law threatens to jeopardize the watchdog group’s success.

Amid the backdrop of DOGE’s fraud-finding expedition are ongoing negotiations among House and Senate Republicans to pass a budget reconciliation package that includes President Trump’s legislative priorities, such as tax cuts and resources for border enforcement. As defined by Ballotpedia’s Briana Ryan, “Budget reconciliation is a term for the legislative process that bypasses the [60-vote] filibuster to approve a package of legislation in Congress that changes spending, revenues, or the debt limit.”

While many Republicans have been quick to glom onto DOGE and profess support for its work, few seem to be interested in actually stopping the wasteful spending that’s plagued the federal government for years. Case in point: the Senate GOP’s latest “vote-a-rama.”

In the early hours of Friday morning, the upper chamber held votes on various amendments to Senate Republicans’ $340 billion reconciliation bill. According to Breitbart News, the package — which included provisions aimed at “secur[ing] the southern border, unleash[ing] domestic energy production, [and] other priorities” — is one half of the Senate GOP’s “two-bill strategy” for reconciliation. . .

Among the amendments proposed for the Senate’s reconciliation package was a measure introduced by Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., that sought to cut federal spending by $1.5 trillion. Ukrainian Parliament Rejects Resolution Supporting Zelensky

A resolution reaffirming the legitimacy of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky failed to secure enough backing to pass in the Ukrainian parliament on Monday.

At a special session of the Ukrainian parliament, the Verkhovna Rada, convened to mark the third anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion, the resolution received 218 votes, falling short of the 226 votes needed to pass.

Some 54 members of parliament present in the meeting room did not take part in the vote, including 38 representatives from Zelensky’s Servant of the People party.

The resolution was designed by the parliamentary leadership as a symbolic show of support for Zelensky, whose legitimacy has come under fire by Russia and, more recently, the United States.

The paper stated: “The Verkhovna Rada once again recalls that the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky was elected in free, transparent, democratic elections. Leaked $25B Military Contractor Pitch Promises Trump 12 Million Deportations By Midterms: Report

A group of private military contractors have pitched President Donald Trump a $25 billion plan to expedite mass deportations — leveraging military bases, private aircraft, and deputized civilians to forcibly remove 12 million undocumented immigrants before the 2026 midterm elections.

The leaked 26-page proposal led by former Blackwater executives Erik Prince and Bill Mathews has been circulating among Trump allies since December and was obtained by Politico. It reportedly details an aggressive strategy that includes a network of “processing camps” on U.S. military installations, a private fleet of 100 aircraft, and a force of civilians given federal law enforcement powers to carry out arrests.

The document bluntly states that deporting 12 million people in two years “would require the government to eject nearly 500,000 illegal aliens per month,” an undertaking it acknowledges would be impossible without outside contractors.

DNI Tulsi Gabbard Moves to Terminate, Revoke Security Clearances of NSA Employees Tied to Explicit Chatrooms

President Donald Trump’s director of national intelligence is taking action against federal employees within the intelligence community for alleged ties to explicit conversations on an internal agency messaging board.

DNI Tulsi Gabbard put out a directive Tuesday to terminate the employment of and revoke the security clearances of employees who participated in obscene and explicit chatrooms on the National Security Agency’s (NSA) “Intelink” messaging platform.

“There are over 100 people from across the intelligence community that contributed to and participated in… what is really just an egregious violation of trust. What to speak of, like basic rules and standards around professionalism,” Gabbard said on “Jesse Watters Primetime” Tuesday.

Federal employees are under investigation for allegedly misusing an internal agency messaging board to dish on their sexual fantasies under the guise of diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI), officials say.

Chat logs from the National Security Agency’s (NSA) “Intelink” messaging platform, obtained by researchers from the conservative Manhattan Institute reportedly via sources within the NSA, revealed employees from various intelligence agencies discussing their experiences with gender-reassignment surgery, artificial genitalia, hormone therapy, polyamory and pronoun usage. Some of these agencies reportedly include the Defense Intelligence Agency, U.S. Naval Intelligence and the NSA. Man Arrested For Allegedly Plotting ‘Mass Casualty’ Event Was ‘Transitioning’ Genders, Police Confirm

A Texas man arrested for allegedly planning a “mass casualty event” against law enforcement was “transitioning” genders, a police source confirmed to the Caller.

The FBI’s Houston office announced Monday that it arrested Seth “Andrea” Gregori after he allegedly plotted an attack against police “similar to the 2016 Dallas ambush.” In that 2016 attack, Micah Xavier Johnson ambushed police officers in Dallas, Texas, killing five and wounding nine more in a mass shooting. Johnson was reportedly angry over white police officers shooting black suspects.

Social Security Says Higher Payments Are on the Way for Millions of Former Public Workers

More than 3.2 million Social Security recipients who received pensions from their time as teachers, firefighters, police officers and other public service jobs will soon see a boost in their benefits. Most people will receive their one-time retroactive payment by the end of March, and new monthly payments will begin in April, the agency says.

The Social Security Administration announced it would immediately begin processing retroactive payments and will send increased monthly payments to people affected by the Windfall Elimination Provision and Government Pension Offset, which were rescinded in the bipartisan Social Security Fairness Act that former President Joe Biden signed into law last year.

The Windfall Elimination Provision and the Government Pension Offset limited Social Security benefits for recipients if they got retirement payments from other sources, including public retirement programs from a state or local government.

Trump Announces ‘Gold Card’ Visa Program Costing $5 Million

President Donald Trump announced a new visa program for investors coming to the United States on Tuesday that would cost applicants $5 million.

Trump, touting the project as a “Gold Card” program mimicking the Green Cards permanent residents get, told reporters in the Oval Office that it would be up and running in two weeks.

The announcement came as other immigration routes expanded during the Biden administration are being curtailed, particularly for those from Central and Southern America. Trump has advocated for legal immigration, particularly work-based visas, which he has said help bring money and jobs into the country.

Karoline Leavitt Announces White House Will Assume Direct Control of Daily Press Pool After Judge Denies AP’s Bid to Restore Access

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt announced Tuesday that President Trump’s administration will take direct control of the composition of the daily press pool after winning an initial court decision Monday over its two-week exclusion of the Associated Press.

The change sets aside decades of historical deference to the White House Correspondents’ Association, but it’s unclear to what extent the move actually will change the mix of reporters given close access to Trump.

“It’s beyond time that the White House press operation reflects the media habits of the American people in 2025, not 1925. A select group of DC-based journalists should no longer have a monopoly over the privilege of press access at the White House,” Leavitt said at a press briefing.

“So by deciding which outlets make up the limited press pool on a day-to-day basis, the White House will be restoring power back to the American people who President Trump was elected to serve.”

DC US District Judge Trevor McFadden declined to grant the AP a temporary restraining order Monday restoring the outlet to the pool, from which it was barred by Trump officials for declining to update its influential Stylebook to refer to the Gulf of Mexico as the “Gulf of America” pursuant to Trump’s official renaming. For some years now, I have been tracking globalist initiatives at both ends: at the point where the ideological rounds are chambered and downrange where they affect the lives of millions as public policies. This has taken me from places like Davos, Switzerland, where the World Economic Forum meets annually, to cartel towns in Colombia where illegal aliens board Zodiacs bound for the Darién Gap and thousands of them simply disappear.

I’ve also been tracking how USAID, the United States Agency for International Development, via a series of NGOs, has been running what amounts to a massive human trafficking operation across South America, through Central America, and straight up through our borders. President Trump is working to hold accountable those responsible, but there is so much more to the global workings of this clandestine government agency.

I recently traveled from Davos to the ancient city on the Nile. With USAID’s nefarious activities dominating the news, I decided to visit its Cairo office to see how it was responding to Trump’s recent order slashing USAID activities.

To call USAID Egypt an office is misleading. It is a military-style compound.

My Egyptian driver, Mohamed, and I approached the boom gate where security guards stood in a small guardhouse of the type you see all over the world. They raised the gate arm and waved us through. Frustration at Elon Musk Spills Over After Closed-Door House GOP Meeting: ‘Fed to the Wolves’

Some House Republicans are increasingly frustrated with Elon Musk’s handling of his role in the federal government – frustrations that flared during a closed-door meeting on Tuesday.

Rep. Austin Scott, R-Ga., raised concerns about Republican lawmakers not being on the “same page” as the White House and Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), three people in the room told Fox News Digital.

He is not the only GOP lawmaker who feels that way, either.

“He wants to see better communication between DOGE, the president, and the House, because we’re getting fed to the wolves, while Elon’s just tweeting,” one GOP lawmaker told Fox News Digital.
