Trump Announces New Role For Musk, Ramaswamy In Dept Of Government Efficiency

President-elect Donald Trump announced on Tuesday night that he has tapped business magnate and former pharmaceutical executive Vivek Ramaswamy to lead his Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).

“I am pleased to announce that the Great Elon Musk, working in conjunction with American Patriot Vivek Ramaswamy, will lead the Department of Government Efficiency,” Trump said in a statement. “Together, these two wonderful Americans will pave the way for my Administration to dismantle Government Bureaucracy, slash excess regulations, cut wasteful expenditures, and restructure Federal Agencies – Essential to the ‘Save America’ Movement.”

Trump called the initiative, which Musk first floated during an interview with Trump earlier this year, the “Manhattan Project” of our time. Naming the department DOGE is a wink to a popular meme and cryptocurrency sometimes referenced by Musk.

“This will send shockwaves through the system, and anyone involved in Government waste, which is a lot of people!” Musk said.

“To drive this kind of drastic change, the Department of Government Efficiency will provide advice and guidance from outside of Government, and will partner with the White House and Office of Management & Budget to drive large scale structural reform, and create an entrepreneurial approach to Government never seen before,” the statement said. Michigan Democrats Push National Popular Vote Measures In Final Moments Of Power

Michigan Democrats are pushing National Popular Vote Compact measures during their last weeks in power. While former President Donald Trump won Michigan and the national popular vote, the majority-Democrat state House may still try to pass the bills on Thursday, according to a tentative agenda obtained by The Federalist.

“I can’t believe that they’re really willing to put this up, given we’re on the heels of this last election when a Republican took the national popular vote,” Republican state Rep. Rachelle Smit, who was recently elected as House speaker pro-tempore, told The Federalist.

Democrat state Rep. Carrie Rheingans sponsored HB 4156 and HB 4440, which would make Michigan join the National Popular Vote Compact, binding the state’s presidential electors to the winner of the popular vote. The compact would only take effect if enacted by states totaling 270 electoral votes. Seventeen states and the District of Columbia currently have National Popular Vote laws in place.

With vote counting nearing completion, Trump is winning the popular vote by 3.5 million, according to The New York Times. The last time a Republican won the popular vote was in 2004 when George W. Bush was the presidential candidate. Failed Democrat VP nominee Tim Walz had even called for a national popular vote, as The Federalist reported. FEMA Employee Fired For Bypassing Homes With Trump Signs Says She Was Following Agency Protocol

An employee who was terminated from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) for ordering government workers to bypass homes of Trump supporters said she was simply following standard operating procedure.

On Friday, the Daily Wire reported that FEMA supervisor Marn’i Washington had instructed staff to “avoid homes advertising Trump” while “they canvassed Lake Placid, Florida to identify residents who could qualify for federal aid” after Hurricane Milton tore through the region in early October.

“Government employees told The Daily Wire that at least 20 homes with Trump signs or flags were skipped from the end of October and into November due to the guidance, meaning they were not given the opportunity to qualify for FEMA assistance,” the outlet reported. “Images shared with The Daily Wire show that houses were skipped over by the workers, who wrote in the government system messages such as: ‘Trump sign no entry per leadership.’”

Washington was promptly fired from the agency, and FEMA Administrator Deanne Criswell condemned the conduct as “a clear violation of FEMA’s core values & principles to help people regardless of their political affiliation.”

“This was reprehensible,” Criswell said. “This employee has been terminated and we have referred the matter to the Office of Special Counsel.” (Read more from “FEMA Employee Fired For Bypassing Homes With Trump Signs Says She Was Following Agency Protocol” HERE)

‘Wow’: Biden-Harris DOD Bungles Veterans Day Commemoration With Mind-Boggling Error

Keen observers noticed something amiss about a Biden-Harris Department of Defense social media post Monday commemorating Veterans Day.

In a now-deleted post on Instagram and X, the F-35 Lightning II Joint Program Office — whose very existence centers on the F-35 fighter jet — shared an image of an aircraft with the caption, “Today, and every day, we thank all Veterans and those currently serving for their service and sacrifice.”

The trouble with the F-35 JPO’s post was not the wording but rather the image. Not only was the aircraft pictured not American, it belongs to an adversarial, communist nation that some living veterans commemorated on Monday fought against in Korea.

Military.com noted that instead of the F-35’s single Pratt & Whitney F135 turbofan engine, the vehicle depicted in the post had twin engines. On closer examination, it appears as though the F-35 JPO actually posted an image of communist China’s J-35 stealth fighter aircraft, the People’s Liberation Army Air Force’s F-35 knockoff.

Judge Pauses All Deadlines in Trump’s New York Case Based on Election Victory

Judge Juan Merchan paused all deadlines in President-elect Donald Trump’s New York case — including the sentencing date scheduled for later this month.

Merchan granted a joint request by prosecutors and defense attorneys to pause the case until Nov. 19, pushing off his decision on Trump’s motion to toss the verdict based on presidential immunity, which he previously was slated to issue a ruling on Tuesday.

Merchan directed prosecutors to submit their view of “appropriate steps going forward” in a filing by next week. Prosecutors requested Merchan pause proceedings to allow them to evaluate the impact of Trump’s election victory.

“The People agree that these are unprecedented circumstances and that the arguments raised by defense counsel in correspondence to the People on Friday require careful consideration to ensure that any further steps in this proceeding appropriately balance the competing interests of (1) a jury verdict of guilt following trial that has the presumption of regularity; and (2) the Office of the President,” prosecutor Matthew Colangelo wrote in a Nov. 10 email to Merchan.

Trump’s defense attorneys joined the request, arguing dismissal of the case is required to “avoid unconstitutional impediments to President Trump’s ability to govern.” (Read more from “Judge Pauses All Deadlines in Trump’s New York Case Based on Election Victory” HERE)

‘Burn the System Down’: Democrats Now Facing Charges They Are the Ones Trying To Destroy Democracy

Protecting democracy was a catch phrase that Democrats have used for years to explain their hatred of now President-elect Donald Trump. . .

The only salvation for America’s “democracy” would be to keep Democrats, in this election Kamala Harris, in power, they said. . .

Jonathan Turley, the Shapiro Professor of Public Interest Law at George Washington University, said, “Democracy appears to be losing its appeal on the left. After campaigning on panic politics and predicting the imminent death of democracy, some on the left are now calling to burn the system down in light of Republicans not only taking both houses and the White House but Trump likely winning the popular vote.”

He pointed out that it’s ironic that “Democratic politicians and pundits repeated the mantra that, if we did not elect Harris, this might be our last election.”

He explained, “After losing that election, democracy appears to be the problem. The majority of Americans voting for Trump have been called ‘anti-American’ by Gov. Hochul. Other politicians and pundits have called them racists, misogynists, or weaklings seeking domination by strongmen and bullies.” (Read more from “‘Burn the System Down’: Democrats Now Facing Charges They Are the Ones Trying To Destroy Democracy” HERE)

Prosecutors Now Probing Secretary of State Over Election-Password Catastrophe

Jena Griswold is a far-left Democrat secretary of state in the far-left state of Colorado. . .

She played an integral role when Tina Peters, then a clerk in Mesa County, made a copy of the 2020 election results from her county and, in the course, exposed briefly an election systems password. She was sentenced to years in prison.

Now, in the aftermath of Griswold’s own exposure of dozens and dozens of election systems passwords online for the 2024 election, she’s being investigated by a coalition of prosecutors.

It is Westword that reported the office of the Denver district attorney is investigating, with help from the district attorney in El Paso County.

“Officials believe the leak originated in Secretary of State Jena Griswold’s Denver-based office, but it involved current passwords for voting equipment in 34 Colorado counties, including El Paso,” the report said. Trump Selects Kristi Noem to Head Department of Homeland Security

President-elect Donald Trump is expected to select South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem to fill the role of Homeland Security secretary, multiple sources confirm to Fox News Digital.

Noem, who was thought to be a potential running mate on the Trump ticket earlier in the year, has served as governor of the Mount Rushmore State since 2019.

The Department of Homeland Security oversees U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, U.S. Secret Service and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).

If selected, Noem would work with Tom Homan, who was announced as Trump’s “border czar” on Sunday, and Stephen Miller, who was announced as the White House deputy of staff for policy on Monday.

Noem, along with Homan and Miller, has long been a supporter of Trump’s hardline stance on immigration and border security. (Read more from “Trump Selects Kristi Noem to Head Department of Homeland Security” HERE)

Democrats for Life Wins 97% of Endorsed Elections in Rebuke to Party’s Abortion Stance

Democrats for Life of America said Tuesday that 97% of its endorsed candidates won their races in last week’s election, which raises the question: Is there such a thing as a pro-life Democrat?

Certainly not in Congress, unless you count Rep. Henry Cuellar — and his record is mixed. But anti-abortion Democrats made it clear that they’re far from extinct by racking up victories in their bids for seats in state legislatures and county commissions.

Democrats for Life endorsed 39 candidates in the Nov. 5 election, and 37 of them won outright. Of the remaining two, one candidate lost, and the other — Sharon Weston Broome — is moving to a run-off in the race for mayor-president of East Baton Rouge Parish in Louisiana.

That’s an impressive win-loss percentage, especially in a year that saw the Democratic Party lose the White House and the Senate after doubling down on abortion rights as a campaign issue.

“While Democrats lost from sea to shining sea last week, pro-life Democrats won — 97% of our endorsed candidates won last week,” said Democrats for Life President Kristen Day in a Tuesday statement. TREASON: Pentagon Officials Discussed Scenarios to Countermand Controversial Orders From Incoming Commander-In-Chief

By Daily Caller. Pentagon officials have been discussing how to counter potential orders from President-elect Donald Trump, CNN reported, citing defense sources.

The officials are “gaming out” various scenarios, including the possibility Trump will deploy military troops to assist in mass deportations and a potential reclassification of federal employees to make them easier to fire, CNN reported Friday.

“We are all preparing and planning for the worst-case scenario, but the reality is that we don’t know how this is going to play out yet,” a defense official said, according to CNN.

Republican CNN contributor Scott Jennings criticized the reports Friday, suggesting the disgruntled officials should speak to Trump directly.

“What’s Donald Trump supposed to think?” Jennings asked “Anderson Cooper 360⁰” host Anderson Cooper. “He’s gotta read in the newspaper tonight that the unelected bureaucracy of the federal government is having meetings, at some level, about how to thwart or counterman the Commander in Chief.”

How a Trump Presidency Could Lead To a Purge at the Pentagon

By Reuters. During his campaign for re-election, Donald Trump vowed to purge the military of so-called “woke” generals. Now that he is president-elect, the question in the halls of the Pentagon is whether he would go much further. . .

Current and former U.S. officials say Trump will prioritize loyalty in his second term and root out military officers and career civil servants he perceives to be disloyal. . .

Trump was asked by Fox News in June whether he would fire generals described as “woke.” . . .

“I would fire them. You can’t have (a) woke military,” Trump said. (Read more from “How a Trump Presidency Could Lead To a Purge at the Pentagon” HERE)
