Trump Selects Tulsi For Role In Administration

President-elect Donald Trump appointed former Hawaii Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard as Director of National Intelligence for his second administration in a Wednesday statement.

Gabbard, a former Hawaii congresswoman and member of the National Guard, left the Democratic party in 2022. In the 2024 election cycle, Gabbard endorsed Trump and became a surrogate on the campaign trail as she helped him with debate preparation. Trump wrote that Gabbard will bring a “fearless spirit” to the intelligence community to help secure “Peace through Strength.”

Joe Biden Welcomes Donald Trump Back to White House, Congratulates Him on Victory

President Joe Biden welcomed President-Elect Donald Trump back to the White House on Wednesday and congratulated him on his landslide victory.

Trump’s historic appearance at the White House was his first visit since 2021, a visual contrast between the once-two bitter political rivals over the last five years.

“Well, Mr. President-Elect and Former President Donald, congratulations,” Biden said as he shook Trump’s hand.

“Thank you,” Trump replied.

“Looking forward to having, like we said, a smooth transition,” Biden added. “Do everything we can to make sure you’re accommodated.” (Read more from “Joe Biden Welcomes Donald Trump Back to White House, Congratulates Him on Victory” HERE)

Reports Show Nefarious Reality Behind Canada’s Assisted Suicide Program

In Canada, doctors can treat their patients with an unusual medicine: death.

While the nation claims its doctors meet “certain safeguards” before killing their patients under the label “euthanasia,” new documents show more than 428 possible criminal cases in the province of Ontario alone, according to The New Atlantis. This includes repeat and “blatant” offenders.

Canada’s criminal code regulates the “medical assistance in dying” program, or “MAID.” Still, many of its doctors have been killing patients whose deaths could have been avoidable, as they were suffering from being poor, disabled, or lonely, according to The Associated Press.

Chief Coroner Dirk Huyer oversees physician-assisted suicide in Ontario. He claimed in 2018 that “Ontario has the strongest oversight of any province or territory in Canada” and “every case is reported.” But as noted in The Conversation, Huyer’s office last month released reports showing doctors killed patients with “mental illness and addictions, unclear mental diagnoses and suffering fuelled by housing insecurity, poverty and social marginalization.”

The New Atlantis published presentations and reports from Huyer, showing that for many possible violations of the law regulating assisted suicide, he recommended nothing more than having an “informal conversation” or sending an “educational” or “notice” email. Melania Trump Trashes Jill Biden After Revealing She Called Her Post-assassination Attempt — Questions if Her ‘Concern Was Genuine’

Melania Trump, the once and future first lady, revealed that current first lady Jill Biden reached out to her following the July 13 assassination attempt against President-elect Donald Trump in Butler, Pa.

But Trump also said she doubts Biden was being sincere — given the inflammatory rhetoric Jill had unleashed just a few days earlier.

“I do question, however, whether Jill’s concern was genuine, as a few days prior she referred to my husband as ‘evil’ and a ‘liar,’” she told French outlet Paris Match in an interview just before the election.

“It was obvious that the onslaught of rhetoric from Democrat leaders and the mainstream media was so deeply embedded in our nation’s consciousness it prompted an attempt to assassinate Donald.”

President Biden, 81, similarly spoke to Donald Trump, 78, just after a bullet grazed his right ear and came within a quarter-inch of ending his life. After Trump Landslide, GOP Senate Votes For Business As Usual In Leadership Race

Republicans elected a reincarnation of retiring GOP Senate chief Mitch McConnell to lead the upper chamber on Wednesday following former President Donald Trump’s overwhelming win last week.

Sen. John Thune of South Dakota was promoted from Republican Senate whip to majority leader on the second secret ballot with 29 votes in a contest against Sen. John Cornyn of Texas, who received 24. The two lawmakers edged out a challenge from Sen. Rick Scott of Florida, who only captured three more votes for his candidacy for leader compared to his previous challenge to McConnell in 2022. Scott had run two years ago after McConnell funneled scarce campaign resources to win safe seats in the midterms while competitive candidates in key states were stripped of funding over their opposition to the incumbent Senate chief.

“This Republican team is united behind President Trump’s agenda, and our work starts today,” Thune said.

The South Dakota Republican, however, is effectively Mitch McConnell-lite, having acted as a top McConnell deputy in Senate leadership by championing unlimited funding to Ukraine and displaying antagonism toward bold activism from effective colleagues. In May, Thune was among several GOP senators who embraced one of the Democrats’ latest hoaxes against the Supreme Court when The New York Times painted Justice Samuel Alito as an extremist for supposedly flying an American flag in distress.

“I don’t know how you explain that,” Thune said of the fabricated flag controversy wherein Alito’s wife flew a flag upside down at the couple’s residence. (Read more from “After Trump Landslide, GOP Senate Votes For Business As Usual In Leadership Race” HERE)

Here’s What Trump Has Said He Plans To Do About Our Censorship Overlords

President-elect Donald Trump has a golden opportunity to crush the censorship regime that amassed a staggering amount of power during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Never before in America’s history has there been a Censorship Industrial Complex as vast and powerful as the one currently choking our First Amendment rights. Whether it’s the tech platforms themselves, such as Google and Facebook, targeting free speech and boosting left-wing agendas with shadowy algorithms, the Biden administration’s collusion with these platforms to shut down so-called “misinformation” about COVID-19 or the State Department’s Global Engagement Center collaborating with fact-checkers to crush conservative news outlets, the censorship overlords have gotten way out of control. Americans, both liberal and conservative, Democrat and Republican, are suffering for it.

Trump has a plan, however, which he laid out back in 2022. In the coming months, Republicans should hit the ground running and ensure that the president-elect’s proposals are implemented as soon as possible. With control of the House, the Senate and the Executive branch, the GOP has no excuse to drag its feet on an issue that is truly critical to the country’s future. It’s high time pro-censorship bureaucrats, Silicon Valley executives, and non-profit activists destroying our First Amendment are brought to heel. . .

The first step is for Trump to immediately go to war with the deep state by signing an executive order that reins in rogue bureaucrats and fires those who’ve already engaged in censorship, whether at DHS, the FBI or the DOJ:

Within hours of my inauguration, I will sign an executive order banning any federal department or agency from colluding with any organization, business or person, to censor, limit, categorize, or impede the lawful speech of American citizens. I will then ban federal money from being used to label domestic speech as ‘mis-‘ or ‘dis-information’. And I will begin the process of identifying and firing every federal bureaucrat who has engaged in domestic censorship —directly or indirectly — whether they are the Department of Homeland Security, the Department of Health and Human Services, the FBI, the DOJ, no matter who they are.

‘Coward Who Back-Stabs Her Own Party’: Conservative Outlet Turns on Trump’s DHS Pick

The conservative news publication The Federalist slammed South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem with a blistering takedown Tuesday that referred to her as a “coward” who was underserving to lead the Department of Homeland Security.

“While Noem is certainly skilled at promoting herself, she doesn’t have the courage required for this role,” Joy Pullmann, an executive editor at The Federalist, wrote in an editorial after news spread that President-elect Donald Trump selected Noem, who famously shot her pet dog to death, for the cabinet position.

In her brutal rebuke, Pullman took issue with several actions Noem took as governor and concluded her “track record is not the behavior of a leader serious enough” to head the agency. The publication referenced Noem’s decisions in favor of state lobbyists involving a “corrupt health-industrial complex,” which Pullman criticized the Trump loyalist for supporting.

“And when she was called out on this by the likes of Tucker Carlson, Noem’s defense was that she’s scared to engage in lawsuits on behalf of Americans’ obvious best interests,” Pullman wrote. “It should go without saying that anyone who is scared of lawsuits should not be part of the Trump administration, especially anyone involved in combatting illegal immigration.”

She continued: “Noem has an undeserved reputation for courage because she was the only governor not to shut down her state in the name of Covid. But that reputation is completely undeserved. The truth is, she attempted to get the power to shut down South Dakota, but the state Legislature refused to give it to her.” (Read more from “‘Coward Who Back-Stabs Her Own Party’: Conservative Outlet Turns on Trump’s DHS Pick” HERE)

Trump Announces New Role For Musk, Ramaswamy In Dept Of Government Efficiency

President-elect Donald Trump announced on Tuesday night that he has tapped business magnate and former pharmaceutical executive Vivek Ramaswamy to lead his Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).

“I am pleased to announce that the Great Elon Musk, working in conjunction with American Patriot Vivek Ramaswamy, will lead the Department of Government Efficiency,” Trump said in a statement. “Together, these two wonderful Americans will pave the way for my Administration to dismantle Government Bureaucracy, slash excess regulations, cut wasteful expenditures, and restructure Federal Agencies – Essential to the ‘Save America’ Movement.”

Trump called the initiative, which Musk first floated during an interview with Trump earlier this year, the “Manhattan Project” of our time. Naming the department DOGE is a wink to a popular meme and cryptocurrency sometimes referenced by Musk.

“This will send shockwaves through the system, and anyone involved in Government waste, which is a lot of people!” Musk said.

“To drive this kind of drastic change, the Department of Government Efficiency will provide advice and guidance from outside of Government, and will partner with the White House and Office of Management & Budget to drive large scale structural reform, and create an entrepreneurial approach to Government never seen before,” the statement said. Michigan Democrats Push National Popular Vote Measures In Final Moments Of Power

Michigan Democrats are pushing National Popular Vote Compact measures during their last weeks in power. While former President Donald Trump won Michigan and the national popular vote, the majority-Democrat state House may still try to pass the bills on Thursday, according to a tentative agenda obtained by The Federalist.

“I can’t believe that they’re really willing to put this up, given we’re on the heels of this last election when a Republican took the national popular vote,” Republican state Rep. Rachelle Smit, who was recently elected as House speaker pro-tempore, told The Federalist.

Democrat state Rep. Carrie Rheingans sponsored HB 4156 and HB 4440, which would make Michigan join the National Popular Vote Compact, binding the state’s presidential electors to the winner of the popular vote. The compact would only take effect if enacted by states totaling 270 electoral votes. Seventeen states and the District of Columbia currently have National Popular Vote laws in place.

With vote counting nearing completion, Trump is winning the popular vote by 3.5 million, according to The New York Times. The last time a Republican won the popular vote was in 2004 when George W. Bush was the presidential candidate. Failed Democrat VP nominee Tim Walz had even called for a national popular vote, as The Federalist reported. FEMA Employee Fired For Bypassing Homes With Trump Signs Says She Was Following Agency Protocol

An employee who was terminated from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) for ordering government workers to bypass homes of Trump supporters said she was simply following standard operating procedure.

On Friday, the Daily Wire reported that FEMA supervisor Marn’i Washington had instructed staff to “avoid homes advertising Trump” while “they canvassed Lake Placid, Florida to identify residents who could qualify for federal aid” after Hurricane Milton tore through the region in early October.

“Government employees told The Daily Wire that at least 20 homes with Trump signs or flags were skipped from the end of October and into November due to the guidance, meaning they were not given the opportunity to qualify for FEMA assistance,” the outlet reported. “Images shared with The Daily Wire show that houses were skipped over by the workers, who wrote in the government system messages such as: ‘Trump sign no entry per leadership.’”

Washington was promptly fired from the agency, and FEMA Administrator Deanne Criswell condemned the conduct as “a clear violation of FEMA’s core values & principles to help people regardless of their political affiliation.”

“This was reprehensible,” Criswell said. “This employee has been terminated and we have referred the matter to the Office of Special Counsel.” (Read more from “FEMA Employee Fired For Bypassing Homes With Trump Signs Says She Was Following Agency Protocol” HERE)
